The finale was all about performances, as Mariah Carey pre-recorded a horrible performance that included Randy Jackson playing the guitar. Keith Urban pre-recorded a performance as well and got up there with finalist Kree Harrison to perform with Randy Jackson as well. So, why no Nicki???

She explained to TV Guide: ”I had already committed to the Billboard Awards to perform my single ['High School'], and so I wasn’t allowed to perform it on Idol and perform it on Billboard [both].” Hmmm, does that work for you?

Me either! She goes on a little bit more: ”I was supposed to premiere my ‘High School’ video on Idol but they said it was too risque. Anyway.” Yeah, she is bitter and it would explain why she won’t be coming back for Season 13. I think she was a little too much to handle for the Idol viewers. Christina Aguilera announced her return earlier this week, which left things up in the air with everyone else. Now NBC has confirmed that all of the coaches will return, but when will they each appear?

It appears that Cee Lo and Christina will return for The Voice USA Season 5, which is no big shocker there. When they announced their departure they said they would be back for Season 5. Shakira and Usher have filled in quite nicely in their absence, so NBC wants to keep them around. They will be back for Season 6 or maybe even stick around for Season 5 and give Blake and Adam a little break?

I think Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will eventually be taking a break, because can they really go yearlong doing this? One season ends and auditions for the next season start, so either Shakira and Usher fill-in for Blake and Adam during Season 5 or they find two other fill-ins?

Any way it plays out I am glad to have the six coaches in place. The Voice 2013 is good television and will continue to be!

The boys (Drew Chadwick and brothers Keaton and Wesley Stromberg) made the announcement yesterday:

“We’re so psyched to be touring North America and Canada later this year, hitting a bunch of cities our fans haven’t seen us in yet. We’ve been looking to get back out and couldn’t think of anyone more dope than Selena to do it with. Gonna be a fun ride!”

I know they are cute and all, which is a good thing, because isn’t Canada in North America?

I’ll be the first to admit that I was hard on Angie all season long and found her to be boring and trying too hard ever since she won us over singing her original song back in Vegas Week. She seemed to go downhill from there, but this performance brought me back as a fan!

Angie gets to sing with her idol: Jessie J! This is beyond amazing and I am in love. Jessie J is looking hot hot hot!!! Since Angie could not sing her original song because of her performance with Jessie J, she has invited her to the UK to perform with her this summer during a show and record it and post the video and all! How awesome for Angie!!!

There were some great performances last night on American Idol 2013, but apparently not many of you wanted to watch them! Thanks to TVByTheNumbers, here are your American Idol 2013 ratings:

• American Idol won the night with viewers at 11.57 million, but had an adult rating of 2.9
  
• Modern Family won the night with a 3.5 adult rating

A 2.9 adult rating for an Idol finale??? Yes, it was only the performances and we should see higher numbers tonight, maybe, but the numbers for Season 11 were a 4.2 adult rating! That is a huge decrease in viewers and when no one cares to watch the final two singers, I say pull the plug!

One of Angie’s biggest idols has been Jessie J and the rumors are buzzing that Jessie J flew into Los Angeles last night on some sort of mission, but is it to appear with Angie on the finale? This is all thanks to MJs Big Blog and a tweet sent out by Angie herself:

“And I also must tell you… You guys are gunna DIE when you see the artist I’m singing with tomorrow at the Finale!! Definitely watch!!”

Hmmm, we have heard rumors of a duet with Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert and maybe even a duet with Season 11 finalist Colton Dixon. There have also been rumors of Angie performing an original song during the finale, but what about the actual Top 2 performing???? Last night on American Idol 2013, Candice Glover and Kree Harrison did everything in their power to be named the American Idol Season 12 winner, but the voting is up to you America. Who did you pick to win?

To me, this was an amazing performance. Candice has been stating all season long about wanting to reach out to girls and be a role model and I think this song hits that right on the head. You could tell that it meant something to her, since she was fighting back tears after the performance.

To me, this was Kree’s best performance of the night. “Angel” is such a popular and well-known song, yet she took it and made it country and made it her own. Kree can take any song and put her country twist on it, which I love.
