Why those names?

Noa, the youngest lovebird, is the 4th child of Bluey and Greenbean and so she is ‘No.4′. And since ‘4′ often represents the letter ‘a’ in L33t sp34k (Elite speak) in the geek world, ‘No.4′ = Noa!

Puffy is named because she audibly huffs and puffs whenever I pick her up. I was intending to name her HuffPuff but KuKuNehNeh decided against it.

Tweeter is named as such because….. well…. She tweets.

They are absolutely adorable at this age (Tweeter & Puffy @ 4 weeks+, Noa @ 3 weeks+) and all they want is the baby handfeeding formula and to cuddle up to my warm palms. I know I am spoiling all the mood of this cute post by saying, all birds love a good stroke.

Yep… It’s true, the 3 birds love it when you stroke their cheeks and heads.

I’ll be revealing the winner of the Singtel INQ Mobile Contest at the end of this post but first of all, I’ve got some news for you guys who are interested in checking out the INQ Mini 3G or have been waiting for Singtel to wave more carrots for you to get the phone (which is already free if you sign up for a certain plan by the way).

KuKuNehNeh and I have 7 lovebirds now in total and they are:

Bluey! 10 months old and mother of 4!

Greenbean! 9 months old and father of 4! (he thinks he is a spider sometimes)

Uno! 10 weeks old and first child of Bluey and Greenbean

Mango! 5 weeks old! Ain't she a beauty?

Bluey was very quick to start a family after Uno and for the 2nd batch of eggs that she laid, 3 were hatched out of the 6.

Look at the size difference! The two larger chicks are only 2 days apart from each other with the oldest one at 12 days old at the time of the pic above and the smallest one is at 2 days old. Before the birth of the runt, we had probably accepted that were only 2 chicks from this batch but this little one surprised us all.

The 2 larger baby lovebirds are now 15 and 17 days old and are being handfed. They don’t have names yet! So to save us from the lack of imagination and them from being called Bird #1 and Bird #2, help me think of names to call them!

Bird #1 & Bird #2... look at how sad they are with no names....

Try not to give names longer than 2 syllables.  When I want the lovebirds over, it’s hard to say “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! COME HERE!”

So we were eating from the same packet of fried beehoon when we realized that it wasn’t going to fill neither of us up. We were down to the last 5-6 mouthfuls when I decided to let her have it all being the AWESOME bf that I am. :p

Me: “Eh dear, you can finish the rest of the beehoon. I had enough.”

KKNN: “No dear, you finish it up. You must be hungry.”

“Ah? But I’m sure it’s not enough for you. I am not that hungry now.”

“No, no. You eat it!”

“Er…. okay lor.”

As I begin to finish up the rest of the food, she suddenly jumps up and had a wonderful grin on her face as she exclaimed,

“HEHEHEHEEE… I go get my big pack of Kettle potato chips to eat.”

And she skips happily away to get her cheddar chips.

That was probably her plan all along to leave space for the above…

Twitter, being a integral selling point of the INQ Mini 3G, coupled with the enthusiasm of the bloggers in the same room as Dawn, made her pretty interested in figuring out what Twitter is.

Unlike the America where most celebrities have more or less embraced social media, especially Twitter; only a handful of local celebrities have actually done the same. Thanks to Randall and the bloggers, Dawn Yeoh and Jesseca Liu have at least signed up for Twitter and we await with baited breath if they will actually use their accounts regularly. Go add em and urge them on!

Pissed because the reason I pay $52.73 monthly for my Starhub CableTV is for the $25 component that says “Sports Group”. And it may jolly well be named as “BPL Group”, because the only thing I really watch on Starhub CableTV is BPL football.

So if you take away the only reason I am paying FIFTY-TWO DOLLARS and SEVENTY-THREE CENTS every month, please don’t expect me to pay for Starhub CableTV come October 2010.

It’s easy to blame Singtel for this situation as they have taken the whole pie out of the plate leaving nothing to eat for the diners at Starhub’s table. Sentiments I garnered from Twitter proved that most are pissed with Singtel or/and Starhub and only a couple celebrating (Presumably the rare ones that are actually subscribed to Singtel’s mio TV).

I initially felt the same anger towards Starhub for not bidding hard enough to retain the rights and Singtel for greedily taking the pie which they never ever had in the first place. But then again, it’s all business. Instead of the possibility of sharing the pie, it was all or nothing.

I’m gonna boycott both cable tv providers next year once BPL screening makes the switch. No way I am paying to switch providers every 3 years just to watch football.
