The living room is giving me fit's but it's coming along. It still needs a lot of trim work. The floor was a paper floor that keeps lifting. I'm debating what would be better, pulling it out and starting from scratch or really gluing it down then adding a coat of epoxy for a strong finish. I'm leaning towards pulling it out but then it's going to have to wait for a bit till I can fit it in the budget. If I went this rout I would pull out all the old re-sand it then put in real wood floors. Decisions decisions..
Int he back corner is a doll I tried to make out of clay, and also a couch made from cardboard and corduroy.
The lifting floor
You can kinda see the fire place attempt. It's made out of cardboard and paper clay. I will remake another more to size at some point.
This is the view heading towards the kitchen.
I still need to figure out how to hide all the gaps. There were little squares of trim behind the original walls. The original walls I should add we built out away from the wood walls of the doll house. It made the walls hallow if that makes sense? But any who, when I pulled it all out it left some odd spots that I couldn't get out and some ruff areas that are going to have to be hidden.
It's all Mo's fault! She started the bug. She posted some amazing pic's of her house she's been working on, on facebook and I just couldn't help it! I finally pulled down Brianna's house that I bought used off of craigs list a few years back and started gutting it.
Here is a before pic.
It's really dusty. It's been sitting downstairs with not much use since we bought it.
This pic shows it being gutted
Here are a few pic's of progress being made :)
I built a kitchen unit out of scrap balsa and paper clay. Unfortunately my carpentry skills don't go far enough for functioning drawers and cupboards. This also still needs a faucet for the sink.
Here is some food the kids have made. Also you can kinda see the walls are re-textured and painted yellow.
Here is the finished kitchen minus a few axcessories that are in there now.
I ended up buying a stove and fridge for Bri so she would have something functioning to store all of her food in!
Next post will be the living room. Still a work in progress... It's not cards but still fun!
Or maybe that should be rephrased to wear oh were has shell gone???
It's been soooo crazy, but check it, I know have my evenings back! Can I get a whoop Whoop!!
The twins have finished Volley ball and that is one less drive per day to get everyone where they need to be. Well that is till they start club next. Another Vball thing.
What a day! Today we celebrated the Twins birthday early. My sister came down from Utah and we put together an exploding cake!
At first I thought for sure this thing was bound to be a flop. All three layers of cake stuck to the pans so we built it in crumbled chunks. I couldn't believe it! I mean these pans were greased to the hilt. I have never had cake stick in a well greased and floured pan!! Yet today all three! So needless to say it was UGLY! In the middle we rigged a spring loaded gofer trap and covered the top with card board then frosted as usual.
From the gogher trap ran a wire that was attached to the trigger. when yanked it set the trap off thus flinging the cardboard top of the cake off and at the happy bday girls.
We didn't get as much bang out of it as we had hoped but the cake fight and frosting smearing made up for the lack of that.

Happy birthday girls!! Well soon, Tee Hee! They Turn 15 on Halloween!
Trick or treat?
I have only had short bursts at the computer as of late, I've had time to check my ebay auctions and update my etsy and face book. Lol I thought when kids go back to school I was supposed to get a break!
I spend a lot of time lately on the run lucky for me a ball of yarn and a crochet hook travel well!
I've managed several hats at least to put in my shop :)
Here are some quick pics:
There are several more adult size hats as well in my shop. Also I managed a few necklaces!
It's been a long time since I've pulled out the beads! Bri needed some entertaining so that was the solution of course I couldn't help myself but to play too!
Now if I could only get them cleaned up and put away. Heck who needs a dinner table anyway?
And also when I've managed some quiet time in the craft room a couple of Mo cards!
As always Mo has incredible images! be sure to hit her shop and visit her on facebookfor TONS of inspiration and the occasional freebie. But you have to watch! Lol I missed the last one sniff sniff!
I hope this post finds at least one person relaxing and not on the run! Today should be fun it's Volleyball tournament in Idaho falls! Whoop, Whoop, lets pack up the car for a road trip!
Go Diamondbacks!!
Where I found the time to get this done I'll never know lol! I have been running running running!
But dang I love how they turned out! The Theme was Clean and simple. Now you all know me well enough that was a hard one! I don't do Clean or Simple Lol but I might do it more often now :)
With the time I saved I made three :)
And of course as soon as I seen this image Mo put out I HAD TO HAVE IT!! So Cute!
For this card I just rotated the image upside down for the type of printer I have, thenprinted on my heavy stock and cut to size.
I colored this little sweetie in with copics, and then dug out some floaty looking sentiments. They are from stampin up.
The only embellishment is the machine stitching around the border.
Cause we all know I can't live with out some kind of embellishment...
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Keep an eye on Mo's digital pencil for seasonal digi's!
If you started her then head to :
Lori's blog who is the amazing host!
If your hopping on well it's time to head to Elaines blog
for more wonderful inspiration :)
Hugs!
Is it just me or did the thoughts of quiet oblivion with all the kids in school suddenly fly out the window? One of the twins has class in another high school on the opposite side of town so I'm running her back and forth. We have two games a week for high school Vball most out of town, and of course practice every weekday! Then the girls have discovered that they can get into all the football games now that high school has hit. Oh please let me win the lottery so I can afford all this.
Any who here are a few pic's of the kids first days..
Brianna getting off the bus from her first day as a 1rst grader! She seems to be the easy one this year! Knock on wood quick!!
And the twins back from the 1rst day in high school. Lol They had to change their hair color so they would look different. They each went a few shades in the opposite direction.
Other than running a million miles a minute we have been canning lots of fresh fruits and veggies, making lots of zucchini bread and trying a few new treats from nature.
We are trying some of the less obvious berries this year, We've made jam out of elder berries, and went on a fantastic day trip just us girls to the mountains on a hunt for choke cherries.
What a beautiful day!
We came across some cows...
This one likes zucchini bread..
And we also came across a heard of sheep with a sheep dog
Tee hee we fed her too...
Needless to say stilling Tim's truck and having a day in the mountains fun was had by all !
