Refuge in Nature

From my personal experience I have always found refuge in the nature when ever my mind is in distress. Due to busy schedule and work load I have not been able to make time for just a walk around and enjoy the nature. And again we never know when we are in distress.

As this season is very high time for migrating birds coming to our area as the rainy season is upon us and also due to paddy field. Last 2 days I have been going out scouting the paddy field areas near home and I found very few birds. Trying to find the reason behind it I have discovered that due to pesticides we use the birds number have declined.

As a higher being it becomes our responsibility to ensure survival of every one around us. Just ensuring use of correct pesticide and rite amount would also help.
These birds are not nuisance but they also help farmers by clearing the insects and other unwanted things that destroy the corps.

I think its about time we all should do something too protect our nature.

As a result of deteriorating swamps these commonly seen birds are now declining in numbers.

Soon there will be non to be seen in our area. We should initiate a program to conserve these birds.

Was lucky this time to see quite a few one-horned rhinoceros. I would consider myself luck as on previous few trips after 3 days of trek was not able to find single one.

120-400mm Tryout...

Taking few test shots with the Sigma 120-400mm. Will have to do some extensive testing with it. So far I like it. Looking forward for weekend to take some good shots...

Expo 2010 Shanghai China

Been to Shanghai recently for "Expo 2010 Shanghai China". It was really great. The theme was "Better City Better Life". There were a lot of country participating in the expo. Didn't have enough time to go to all of them. Went to few place only. Wanted to share the pics. The Expo will last for 6 month so people want to visit have enough time. Make sure to have at least a week and a lot of cash :). Till then enjoy the pics.

Been so busy last few day could not update any contents. here is something for the time being. We were walking along the beach last week and there were flocks of birds catching fish on the shore.

Also spotted this kingfisher however could not get a good one.....
