John Abraham and Bipasha Basu are heading for splitsville. Here's why…

After going together for almost a decade, Bollywood couple Bipasha Basu and John Abharam have finally called it quits.

Touted as Bollywood’s one of the strongest love stories, the break-up came when Bipasha wanted marriage and John was not ready for the lifelong commitment.

Talking to a daily, an insider revealed what went wrong with the couple. “They may still make an appearance together at an event but the fact is that they are no longer a couple. The split was very much impending. Bipasha wanted marriage but John was not ready to be tied down. They were together for a decade, so the decision came naturally to Bipasha,” said the source.

Apparently, the rift in John and Biaspha’s relationship became evident when the couple stopped making public appearances together. John and Bipasha would either go separately or would land up at different time to completely avoid each other.

Meanwhile, a close friend of John Abraham said, “He is my closest friend and we get along very well. His mind has always been full of Bipasha and it used to be so every time we met. Lekin abhi aisa nahin hai. He has just stopped talking about her completely.”

Repeated calls and text messages to John and his spokesperson proved futile.

When tried to get in touch with Bipasha, her spokesperson said, “Please don’t contact her. She has denied this on twitter. You should believe what she says. And by the way, she doesn’t want to go on record on this in the media.”

Mahie Gill, an 'up and coming' actress in the Hindi film industry underwent something remarkable in recent times. Any kind of preparation is acceptable for the effective enactment of a character in a film. This is a slogan that numerous actors and actresses in the Hindi film fraternity abide by today.

However, Mahie transported her deference for this slogan to an entirely new and attention-grabbing level during the shooting of her forthcoming celluloid release which is Sahib, Biwi Aur Gangstar, directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia.

What happened was that, during the filming of an important scene of this film, the script demanded that Mahie be inebriated. Mahie underwent exceeding uneasiness over this particular scene as she deemed that she couldn't enact it realistically.

Therefore, Mahie resolved to guzzle six shots of vodka prior to emerging on the set.

However, she didn't realize that six shots would be a bit too much for her mind to tolerate. As the film's crew kept providing her the shot mark, Mahie acted out the entire scene in a forceful fashion. Nevertheless, she had to be carried back to her room after the shooting as she was uncontrollably drunk.

Mahie Gill has established a niche for herself in the Hindi film community within a short time. She is widely recognized for her superlative enactment of the character of Paro in Dev D, which was a Hindi film directed by Anurag Kashyap, which attained colossal critical adulation.

Dev D represented a contemporary celluloid version of the Bengali novella Devdas inscribed by the legendary Indian, Sarat Chattopadhyay.

Mahie also procured the Critics' Award for Best Actress in 2010 at the prestigious Filmfare ceremony. She commenced her career in Punjabi movies prior to penetrating the Hindi film industry with Dev D and achieving acclaim here.

Mahie is scheduled to emerge opposite the skillful actor, Irrfan Khan, in a Hindi movie titled, Paan Singh Tomar.

Yeh Saali Zindagi might set a new record in celluloid smooching. Arunodoy Singh (last seen making violent love to Raima Sen in Vinay Shukla's Mirch) and Aditi Rao (Sonam Kapoor's bua in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi 6) are the couple in question.

"Aditi and Arunodoy play a young couple based in Delhi. They kiss every time they quarrel. And they quarrel a lot, " says Mishra.

Mishra's memory freezes the figure at "around 20 or 22". A kiss is a far more aesthetic and natural expression of love than hip-shaking, believes the director, who has in the past had to do away with kissing scenes because the actors in question were reluctant.

No such issues with Rao and Singh, though.

Singh comes from a political family. His grandfather Arjun Singh is a prominent politician. Rao's grand-uncle Sir Muhammed Saleh Akbar Hydari was the governor of Assam, and she is married to actor Satydeep Mishra (who played Rani Mukerji's boss in No One Killed Jessica).

The two were mildly apprehensive of how their families would react, but Mishra's directorial experience saw their reservations fade quickly.

The censorboard, already upset over the film's title, is unlikely to take gently to the the avalanche of smooches.

"I am not bothered. If the censors think kissing is evil, I'll ask them to get a reality check. We can't manage with flowers quivering on screen. The audience will guffaw at us!" says Mishra.

Deepti Naval (born 3 February 1957) is an acclaimed Indian actress. She has acted in over 75 Hindi films, and most often worked in arthouse and independent films, known as parallel cinema in India.

Early life
Born in Amritsar, Punjab, India. She went to the City University of New York and received her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at Hunter College in Manhattan.
Career

Deepti Naval started her film career with Ek Baar Phir in 1980. She is known to be a sensitive actress and was a part of the art films and light films of the 80's. Saath Saath , Chashme Buddoor and Mirch Masala are some of her films from the era. She was often cast with Farooq Shaikh. Though considered as talented as Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil she somehow did not achieve the same stature in terms of awards or memorable casts.

Once she moved out of lead roles, she portrayed character roles in mainstream Hindi films but was not satisfied with the roles she got and took a break. Of late she has made a comeback of sorts with films like Bawandar and Freaky Chakra.

In April Naval was recognized as the 2007 Tribute Honoree of the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.

She is directing her first film as a director in Do Paise Ki Dhoop,Char Aane Ki Barish which stars Manisha Koirala.

She published a collection of her Hindi poems in 1981, entitled 'LAMHA LAMHA'

She also starred in the critically acclaimed Punjabi film Marhi Da Diva (1989).

Personal life
Deepti Naval was at one time married to filmmaker and director Prakash Jha with whom she has an adopted daughter Disha. Naval was also once involved with actor Nana Patekar, and later engaged to Vinod Pandit before he died.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is the third film in the Transformers film series, directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg. It is the sequel to Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and is scheduled for release on July 1, 2011 in Real D 3D.

Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro and Ramón Rodríguez are set to reprise their starring roles, with Peter Cullen returning as the voice of Optimus Prime, and Hugo Weaving also returning the voice of Megatron. Ehren Kruger, who collaborated in the writing of the second film, was said to be again involved in the writing. Despite having initially been confirmed for the film, and with the film already into principal photography, it was announced that Megan Fox would not be reprising her role from the previous two films. With Fox's character Mikaela being dropped, Sam was assigned a new love interest, who will be played by English model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Also, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, having written the first two films, will not return for the third installment in the series, which Orci had earlier somewhat anticipated, fearing the duo would "risk getting stale". Bay has stated that this will be the last installment in the series.

Jim Carrey's daughter Jane has split from her husband after a year of marriage.

The 23-year-old married Alex Santana last year and they have a nine-month-old son Jackson Riley together.

However a spokesperson for Carrey has confirmed that the pair have now split.

Priyanka Refuses to Dance in a Hotel Even For Rs. 3 Crore

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has taken a leaf out of once friend Kareena Kapoor's pages. Like Bebo, she too, will not shake a leg at a private function.

It will be recalled that Kareena Kapoor and beau Saif Ali Khan had refused to dance at a wedding, similarly Priyanka Chopra will not dance for a five star hotel's New Year celebrations.

What is surprising is the fact that the actress had been offered a whopping amount of Rs. 3 crore to be part of the celebrations on New Year's Eve. So is 3 crore too less an amount to see Priyanka Chopra match steps to a song?

According to reports circulating in the media, Priyanka Chopra has reservations about dancing in front of a live audience especially at private parties.

Therefore, the actress graciously turned down the offer made to her, though she knew that the money at stake was more than she would ever get for a film performance.

Priyanka Chopra at present rakes in a sum of 1. 5 crore per film, which comes armed with months long work schedule. The New Year performance, on the other hand, would have given her a sum of 3 crore for only three hours of work apart from rehearsals!

Looks like our Piggy Chops is taking a little extra care about her public image nowadays! However, New Year Eve parties with actresses as the star attraction is not a rare sight. This year too various five star hotels will get to see the likes of Bipasha Basu and Mallika Sherawat gyrate to the music.

No Problem is an upcoming Bollywood comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Anil Kapoor who also stars as the main character.
