New iOS 7 Concept Adds More Functionality To Safari

It seems like every day now we see another iOS 7 concept being discussed. We have already seen improvements to Maps and integration with social media sites such as Vimeo and Flickr. With all that said, we still don't know what to expect from Apple's forthcoming edition of its mobile operating system. All of this will only be revealed at next month's WWDC 2013.

One thing that a lot of people have been keen to see improvements in is the Safari browser and even though it's not the weakest part of iOS, it has been neglected through the generations. To try and offer a fresh look at things, German designers have come up with a very interesting alternative look and feel to Mobile Safari for iOS 7.

A lot of people prefer to use Google's Chrome for iOS even though it isn't as good as the experience Android users get. It is however better than Safari. It seems taht Apple's browser really is in need of a refresh and this concept for iOS 7 does just that. This conceptualized Safari packs in an “omnibar” similar to both Chrome and the desktop version of Safari and we hope that Apple plans to bring this unifying experience to iOS 7.

Also included in this concept is a Dashboard-esque overview of all running tabs which means that users can quickly jump from one to another. Adding just these features along would greatly enhane the Mobile Safari user experience. There is also a card-like UI for viewing bookmarks and with plenty of integrated gestures allowing everything to be navigated with little difficulty these kinds of changes would really work well with Safari.

All we can really do is hope that Apple is plan on implementing some of these changes in the release of iOS 7 but until WWDC 2013 we won't know for sure.

iOS 7 To Have More Social Integration With Flickr And Vimeo

According to the latest iOS 7 rumors, Apple plans to add even more social media integration. Both Flickr and Vimeo look set to have Twitter and Facebook-like integration, which will allow users to simply tap in their passwords just once in the settings app and authorize any third-party movements from within their iOS infrastructure.

In a world that is all about social networking, any new integration is always welcome but we are surprised that Flickr integration hasn't come sooner considering how popular it already is. Apple added Twitter into iOS 5 before adding Facebook with iOS 6 and both of these features have been well received with customers. So it stands to reason that we should see further social media inclusion with iOS 7.

Apple has been trying to remove all remnants of Google from iOS and having removed Google Maps from the stock feature and replacing it with it's own Maps App in iOS 6, Vimeo integration in iOS 7 would certainly help iOS 7 users refrain from downloading Google's very own YouTube. Bringing Flickr and Vimeo into the heart of iOS will also make sharing content a lot easier and users will be able to upload their images and clips straight to two respective networks with ease.

We still have to wait another three weeks to see if all this holds true and the anticipated iOS 7 will be announced at the WWDC 2013 which begins on the 10th of June. If we do hear anything else about iOS 7 in the meantime, we will be sure to let you know.

How To Route Google Voice Search Queries To Siri - Jailbreak Tweak

We all got super excited when Siri was first introduced and the possibility of talking to our phones and getting it to do stuff had everyone fired up. Then of course, we got our hands on it and it just wasn't what we had hoped for at all. Siri fell short of what we thought and hoped it would do and for many it is just an additional feature on their iPhone.

When Google brought Google Now and Google Voice Search to iOS, we all got excited again and anyone who has used Google's Voice Search will tell you that it is really accurate at taking your words and turning them into text. It performs a lot better than Siri does anyway. But there is a problem, and that is that it can't handle things like setting reminders. You need to use Siri for this and that brings you back to square one. You can either put up with Siri or have no reminders, or you can use two apps.

For those who would prefer a solution, there is a new jailbreak tweak available called Googiri. This tweak is free on Cydia and it takes voice commands and routes them through Google's Voice Search system and then decides what to do with the output based on the way the question or command was posed.

An example of this would be if you said “Google for bread recipes”, the search would be done via Google. If you said something like “Siri, what will the weather be like tomorrow”, the request will go through Siri, but only after Google Voice search has done the voice to text heavy lifting. The result is a much more accurate transcription than Siri ever manages to give and you still get the best of both Siri and Google Voice search without having to fight with two different apps.

If you like the idea of Siri but find that it just doesn't work well enough, this little tweak could be just the thing. You will need to be running a jailbreak on your iPhone to use it so if you don't then we're afraid you are stuck with what you have. New iPhone 5S Parts Leaked

When it comes to leaked parts, we always tend to find that the image quality is very poor and we can't really see what we are looking at. Today, however we have come across some high qualithy images of what we are being told are components of the next generation Apple iPhone.

These images really don't tell us too much because they are of hardware components but it is still nice to get a clearer view of the parts. They don't appear to be much different from the components that were used in the iPhone 5 and we would like to think that Apple has some relatively sizeable alterations in mind for this upcoming handset.

Recent reports have suggested that the next Apple iPhone is going to be called the iPhone 6 and we have already seen the Vodafone UK's internal inventory system was leaked displaying this. Whether this is to be the case of not remains to be seen but one thing is for sure, whatever name Apple decides to go for, the outcome of the device will be identical.

All the fuss surrounding the new iOS 7 has taken attention away from the next generation iPhone which is reportedly going to be released in September which is a year after the iPhone 5 was released. It is also expected that Apple will also launch a budget iPhone to help them compete with those markets too but this is a rumor that has been going for quite some time now and so far we haven't seen any evidence of it.

For now all we can do is wait for the official announcement at WWDC in June and until then, we will continue to bring you news and updates of interest.

New iPhone Mini Concept – What Do You Think?

Most people are in agreement that the current state of Apple's mobile operating system is now stagnant and there is a lot of expectations being put on the launch of iOS 7 later this year. A lot of people are wondering what Apple is planning and in addition to this a lot of sources have suggested that Apple will bring out a budget iPhone at some point in the near future.

Resident concept maker Martin Hajek has come up with a rather interesting “iPhone Mini” design, which also incorporates a rather enlarged iOS interface by Damaso Benitez. Now this enlarged iOS 7 concept user interface isn't the most impressive and the icons look a little too big but that really is a matter of personal choice. The “iPhone Mini” itself doesn't look too bad though and Hajek has described it as coming complete with a plastic back. The overall design however does bear an awful lot of resemblance to the latest iPod touch. This is a positive and if Apple could emulate a design like Hajek's for its low cost endeavors, we feel that the market response would be very positive.

In all honesty, it is possible that consumers will actually be so overwhelmed with the prospect of a low cost iPhone that a large portion of them would automatically be interested. At the moment, the price is simply too high for the majority of people and after six years and no sign of any sort of respite, it is a fair bet that if this product does goes into production, it will be a huge success.

Of course success for a budget iPhone is really going to depend on pricing and since the iPad mini didn't really do this in terms of how much it went of sale for, it will be interesting to see if Apple can break away from their old habits and actually appeal to smaller pockets and emerging markets in the likes of China and India.

If a cheaper iPhone is on the cards, we would be very impressed if it resembled what Hajek has produced in his concept. What do you think? New iOS 7 Concept Seems Clean And Functional

Over the past couple of months, we have seen quite a few iOS 7 concepts and the general consensus seems to be that Apple is in real need of some rejuvenation. We have been tracking a lot of the concepts and it looks like we have found a realistic concept that is based on what Apple will be able to achieve by the time WWDC 2013 comes around.

Apple's WWDC will commence on the 10th of June and we are expecting to see OS X 10.9 and of course iOS 7. The concept that we have seen seems to suggest that the new iOS 7 will be clean and functional with a very intuitive user interface. We are all hoping to see some encouraging enhancements moving forward.

The concept that we have seen seems to suggest that toggles will come to the lock screen which is something that has been covered for along time within the jailbreak scene. With jailbreaking tweaks this concept has really interesting alterations and enhancements so it will be good to see Apple bringing this into the stock iOS 7. Another aspect of this concept is that the notification centre and multitasking bar are integrated into the lock screen as well as the home screen. These are accessible by lifting the area where the camera slider currently resides. Nothing appears to have been done about the multitasking bar per se, and given just how one-dimensional and fiddly this is, it is a little disappointing. We are really hoping that Apple will concentrate heavily on bringing much more enhanced functionality to the multitasking feature than is currently available.

This concept also goes on to throw in one or two other goodies including a revamped Mailbox and overall, the effort is perhaps indicative of some of the chances we might actually see on June 10th. Hopefully as well as ridding the OS of all traces of skeuomorphism, we will see a vastly improved functionality with iOS 7 and all of us here can't wait to see what Apple comes up with. iPhone 6 Shows Up On Vodafone Inventory

We have all been under the assumption that Apple was going to release the iPhone 5S at the next WWDC but it looks like we were wrong. The iPhone 6 has made an appearance on Vodafone's inventory system implying that Apple is skipping the iPhone 5S.

New inventory listings sourced from UK carrier Vodafone suggest that Apple is making the jump to the iPhone 6 which means we should see a stronger array of changes that those we were expecting with the iPhone 5S. Many have argued that although the iPhone 5 brought a slightly larger display, svelte form factor and a relatively minor speed bump, these features don't justify a perceived major release.

It has been pointed out on a number of occasions that “S” releases simply imply something of a half hearted effort and although Apple could release the same seventh generation iPhone under the name iPhone 5, releasing it as an iPhone 6 implies that we will be getting a landmark release rather than a tentative spec upgrade.

Apple are under increasing pressure to improve their mobile software with iOS 7 and the kicker of an iPhone 6 in 2013 would help to ease the situation. Apple are expected to deliver iOS 7 at WWDC 2013 in June with the next generation iPhone following soon after this in September. Whether or not it is to be called the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 remains to be seen but you can be sure that we will keep you updated with any further information we receive.

Viber For iPhone and Android Apps Updated

Viber is a very popular cross-platform VoIP service which has just been given a massive update. Both the Android and iOS versions of the app have been refreshed with load of new features. Viber is now also available on windows and OS X. Viber has over 200 milllion users worldwide and is now right up there with Skype in terms of reach. This new update is the most significant it has ever had.

Both the iOS and Android apps are now at version 3.0. New features include support for video messaging, enhanced call quality thanks to the implementation of a voice engine, and a handy feature for checking the online status of contacts. These really are some great updates and if you are a fan of Viber you are going to love what you can now do.

Features for the brand new Windows and Mac apps include video calling, integration with the mobile versions and with an iteration for BlackBerry 10 also nearning completion, Viber certainly isn't intimidated by Skype. As well as building new apps for Windows, OS X and BB 10, Viber is also prepping an app for Linux, which will be made available in the near future. The Desktop apps are available from Viber.com and the Android and iPhone apps available via their app stores.

iOS 7 To Have Better Multitasking

At present we have multitasking with iOS 6 but it is very limited in terms of functionality. Now that iOS 7 is on the horizon, this is something that concept makers have focused their attentions on in the past few weeks. Ran Avni is another designer that has some fresh ideas on how iOS multitasking should play out in the future and he delivers a rather intriguing concept which sees windows for different apps form a card-like UI.

He released a video detailing this and each app has its own card in what appears to be a greatly expanded version of the popular Auxo for iPhone jailbreak tweak. He also takes a lot of design queues from the famous Multifl0w for iPhone tweak. The layout sees each card placed in grid form, with a delete button in the upper left hand corner of each card allowing users to quickly discard a window and close the app in question. As fewer apps are left open, the window becomes larger to take advantage of the extra space. This is a very nice touch.

Multitasking at present is one of the most cumbersome elements of iOS in general and this concept certainly solves most of the issues concerning this feature. Not only is everything much bigger and easier to view, but with a preview of the apps current status, you won't end up closing an app in the middle of an unfinished task which is something that can happen quite easily at the moment.

IOS 7 is expected to be announced at this year's WWDC 2013 in San Francisco, starting the 10th of June and we hope that multitasking is going to see some big changes.

Download iOS 6.1.4 For iPhone 5 Now

Apple has released iOS 6.1.4 for the iPhone 5 and it is available for download now. This update is a minor one and pertains to an updated audio profile for speakerphone. This update is only available for the iPhone 5 at the moment and not for any other iOS device. The update itself is only 11.5mb so it really is only minor changes in this update.

The speakerphone profile that this update is based on sets the parameters for the quality of audio produced and Apple hasn't specified if anything else is included in this update in their release notes. One or two tweaks may of course have been sneaked into this update and will only be what Apple deem necessary.

If you have an iPhone 5 running on iOS 6.1.2 or earlier and you are jailbroken or you want to jailbreak in the future, you should steer clear of this update. The jailbreak community has said on numerous occasions, that all new discoveries related to a post iOS 6.1.2 jailbreak are being saved for a more significant release in the future, so do not update if you want to install Cydia or jailbreak you device.

Apple are said to be working on building iOS 7 and this minor update probably just goes to show how few staff are working on iOS 6 at this point. From what we have been hearing, the skeuomorphic elements within the company's mobile ecosystem are set to be wiped out, with flat, clean surfaces taking their place. This has already seen Apple borrowing staff from the OS X team to help get the preview of iOS 7 ready for WWDC 2013. We are expecting some big changes after several mundance iOS released and all of us here can't wait for the big unveiling.

In the meantime, if you don't have a jailbreak and aren't planning on jailbreaking your iPhone 5 and you want to update to iOS 6.1.4 to reap the beneftis of the updated speakerphone audio profile all you have to do is use the software update feature that is located in your device's settings app or plug your iPhone 5 in and update it via iTunes.

iOS 7 To Bring More Siri Integration And Maps Support For Your Car

When iOS 5 was launched, Siri was the flagship feature. Now we are getting ready for iOS 7 and it looks like Apple is laying the foundations for what is being described as agressive in-car integration. Most people have in-car chargers, device holders and bluetooth connectivity and it looks like Apple wants to tap into this market with their own solutions.

Since Siri was introducted, we have seen a lot of companies within the world of automobiles step forward and promise better integration of mobile devices for drivers. This has become even more apparant with the announcement of Siri Eyes Free and with Volkswagen also teaming up with Apple to bring the so-called VW iBeetle to the market. It looks like the auot industry is now more focused than it ever has been on utilizing technology to the benefit of not only the driver but for road safety as a whole.

9to5Mac have reported that those familiar with Apple's own intentions have revealed that Apple is collaborating with the car industry to make the center consoles better integrated with iOS devices. This is not just going to be an iPhone dock but something more involved and this could see Apple's mapping system mirrored from an iOS device straight onto a car's built in display with UI elements adjusted accordingly.

The deeper integration of Siri is also thought to be based on the Eyes Free technology that is currently doing the round on a multitude of production cars. IOS 7 is going to provide the hotbed for this integrative system to manifest but we have no idea how long it will take for us to see this in reality.

It seems that Apple has been very busy over the past couple of months in posting job listings for a number of different roles pertaining to in-car stereo systems. IOS 7 which is codenamed Innsbruck, will make its debut at WWDC 2013 and it looks like it could be the next big thing to come from Apple. Is A Budget iPhone On The Cards?

Will all the rumors and reports doing the rounds, it is becoming very clear that whether Apple is getting ready to release a budget iPhone or not, the rumors are not going to stop. As part of the iPhone rumor circus, one suggestion that keeps coming up is that Apple's budget iPhone is going to feature an all new polycarbonate plastic shell which is not too dissimilar to the old iPhone 3G and 3GS models. Withi this firmly in mind, one Apple rumor website has gone as far as to release images of what this budget iPhone model could look like.

These images show 10 different colors and whether or not you are a fan of the idea or not will depend on your aesthetic preferences. The concepts that are shown on this website remind us of the old bubble iMacs thanks to the colours used. Still, we are not convinced that such a release is on the cards at all, let alone one that would see Apple release overly colorful iPhone bodies.

Apple has been known for releasing colorful products and the current iPod models are available in a variety fo colors but the iPad and iPhone ship in just blank or white. Offering a cheaper, less well equipped iPhone in multiple colors may appeal to some, but Apple may be wary of diluting its own market. People might actually prefer to buy the colorful models and this would slow down sales of the higher end metal products.

At this point all we can really say is that the rumor surrounding a budget iPhone are not going to go away any time soon and we can expect to see a lot more rumors surfacing in the run up to the annual WWDC conference later this year.

TinyUmbrella Updated With iOS 6.1.3 Support

TinyUmbrella has now been updated to version 6.13.00 which brings with it support for Apple's latest iOS 6.1.3 firmware. As many of you are aware, downgrading an iOS device can often turn out to be one of the more cumbersome activities in the world of jailbreaking and this is why TinyUmbrella has become such a valuable tool.

If you have had to revert to an older firmware on more than one occasion you will be well aware of the difficulties and why TinyUmbrella is an invaluable little app to have on your team. The developer Notcom took to his Twitter account to announce the update. He stated that TU 6.13.00 supports iOS 6.1.3 and that he would have added apticket validation but he couldn't get it in. It will be made available in version 6.1.301.

Cydia creator Saurik took to his blog ealier this month to discuss downgrading from iOS 6.1.3 to 6.1.2 and how this issue was affecting people. He also noted that any Aptickets/SHSH saved via Cydia on iOS 6.0 up until 6.1.2 were essentially useless. Those on A4 devices, provided they had saved their APTickets locally via tools such as TU or iFaith, could still hold out hope of downgrading their firmware.

TinyUmbrella has long been an important tool in the jailbreak scene for downgrading and with the updates still coming in, it is still as pivotal as it's always been. As well as some of the more recent features, one of its key selling points is the ability to kick a device out of recovery mode at will which many who have messed around with their iOS devices over the years will really appreciate.

TinyUmbrella is available now and even thought saving 6.1.3 blobs aren't as useful now, there is no harm in saving them because you never know when they might become useful again. Almost all iOS devices are supported including iPhone 5, iPad mini and the iPod touch 5.

Jailbreak Apps - Enhance Your iPhone's Facebook And Facebook Messager

If you have a jailbroken iPhone, you will love today's post. One of the latest tweaks to land on teh ModMyi repo is the FBPrivacy package. As the name suggests, this tweak brings additional privacy measures to those who have jailbroken devices. If you regularly use the Facebook or Facebook Messenger apps then this one is for you.

One of the noticable things about FBPrivacy is that is works correctly with the standard Facebook app as well as with the Facebook Messenger app. In addition to this support, FBPrivacy also comes with two included SBSettings toggles that allow users to quickly switch certain aspects of the package on and off. The “typing” and “unseen” toggles can be activated and applied to SBSettings, meaning that users can quickly decide whether or not they would like their chat recipient to know that they are typing a reply or that they have read any incoming messages. The package also introduces a new Dictation feature for those who are using the Facebook apps on a Siri compatible device.

One of the smaller features of this package is the ability to enable or disable a timestamp that is tagged onto each message. Some users like to see when a particular message was sent or received so this could be a very popular feature. The package is finished off with the ability to send more than one picture through Facebook, disable all reminders and enable VoIP for both Facebook apps.

FBPrivacy is available as a $1.00 download from the ModMyi repository and requires a jailbroken device with the Facebook or Facebook Messenger apps installed.

Jailbreak Apple TV 5.2.1 (iOS 6.1.3) Using Seas0nPass

Seas0nPass the popular Apple TV Jailbreak took has just been updated. This new update provides a jailbreak for the 2nd generation model running on the very latest 5.2.1 (iOS 6.1.3) software.

Jailbreak developers have been focusing their efforts on the portable iOS devices and only those of you that own the older model have been able to see any kind of jailbreak for this device. The latest firmware 5.2.1 for Apple TV was released on the 19th of March and this patched the Evasi0n untethered jailbreak that was available for Apple TV2 users on 5.2 firmware. The newly updated Seas0nPass jailbreak that is now available for the 5.2.1 firmware is tethered but the nature of Apple TV means that this is just as good as an untethered jailbreak as most Apple TV owners tend to leave their little black box connected to the mains and if you do this you won't need to connect it to your PC or Mac to reapply the jailbreak.

There are plenty of benefits to using an Apple TV jailbreak and this includes the ability to run unsolicited apps whenever you want. The main reason that most people jailbreak their Apple TV is XBMC. If you do own an older 2nd generation Apple TV then the jailbreak process is really not that difficult. There are plenty of tutorials available and these still apply with the newly updated Seas0nPass tool. You will need to download the latest version of Seas0nPass before you jailbreak your Apple TV.

It is hoped that we will see a jailbreak made available for the 3rd generation Apple TV but seeing as though it is well over a year since it was released there doesn't seem to be anything happening in this department. If you have an older model you can still jailbreak by using the newly updated Seas0nPass tool.

iPad 5 To Be Thinner And Lighter Than iPad 4 According To Report

Rumors about the upcoming lauch of the fifth generation iPad are in full swing. The latest report suggests that the iPad 5 will be 15% thinner and 25% lighter than the iPad 4. The release date for this new iPad could be as early as June so this increased attention might well be warranted.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who tends to have reliable information has said that he believes the next Apple tablet will be dramatically thinner and lighter than the rather bloated fourth generation iPad. He estimates that the iPad 5 will be 15% thinner and 25% lighter than the current iPad. This falls in line with suggestions of a much more iPad mini-esque form factor. Kuo goes on to say that the next full-sized iPad will feature thinner bezels along the longer edges like the iPad mini which will in turn allow the device to be slightly narrower.

He also states that the next iPad will measure in at around 7.5 – 8.0mm in depth and weight just 500g. This is a very big drop in bulk. Kuo also states that the device will pack in an A7X processor but that the cameras will remain unchanged. The 5 megapixel iSight of the iPad 4 is not great but then again, very few people use their iPads to take pictures so it makes sense for Apple to concentrate on the more important issues.

The iPad mini is a beautiful device so it makes sense for Apple to revert to this appearance so that both of these products are in line with each other and it also promotes a more uniform look across the board. The next generation iPad looks to be the biggest leap since the third generation model bought us retina display. The iPad mini also looks set to have retina display added too. If all these changes do come about, it will make Apple's continued dominance in the tablet market difficult for rival vendors to falter.

Evad3rs Answer Questions About Next Jailbreak

At this year's “Hack in the Box” conference which was held in Amsterdam, Evad3rs presented their Evasi0n jailbreak and took some time to answer some of the common questions in an exclusive Q&A session with the press. The video recording of this is available on YouTube for everyone to see.

When Evad3rs were asked about a viable jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3, Pod2g stated that they wouldn't be wasting their time. This means that those who may have been holding out hope for an untethered jailbreak for Apple's latest firmware offering can stop now. Evad3rs pretty much took themselves out of the running on this one. The team do however have several potential exploits on the table for an eventual jailbreak of a more significant iOS version in the future so that is some pretty cool news.

There really is no point in Evad3rs spending time searching for exploits for iOS 6.1.3 when it is more than likely that we will see the next major iOS release later this year and any exploits that they are holding up their sleeves would be better off staying there until then. After all, when iOS 7 and the next generation iPhone hits the shelves people are going to want to be able to jailbreak these and personally we think Evad3rs should hold their cards close to their chest until then. If they were to jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 their exploits would be patched by Apple in the next firmware release so it's better for them to wait.

We can't rule out the possiblity of a third party working to bring an untethered jailbreak to the latest iOS firmware release but it does seem pretty improbable. The message to take from this, is that if you are running a device on iOS 6.1.3, you won't be getting an untethered jailbreak any time soon, if ever.

Those who have just purchased a device running iOS 6.1.3 have sadly missed the boat as you can only jailbreak up as far as iOS 6.1.2 but when iOS 7 releases later this year everyone will be on a level playing field again as the jailbreak community looks once more to try and find the exploits in Apple's new offering.

Jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 With Sn0wbreeze 2.9.14

If you have an A4 or pre-A4 device which includes the iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G and more then you can jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 using Sn0wbreeze 2.9.14 and this tutorial will tell you exactly how to do it.

When iOS 6.1.3 was released the Evasi0n iOS 6.1.x untethered jailbreak was patched by Apple but it is still possible for those on A4 devices to jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 using Sn0wbreeze. This is a tethered jailbreak and in order to us it you need an pre-A4 iOS device running iOS 6.1.3 and the latest version of Sn0wbreeze.

The first thing you need to do is download the latest version of Sn0wbreeze which is v2.9.14 and download the 6.1.3 firmware file for your device. Launch Sn0wbreeze and click on the blue arrow on the bottom right hand side of the display. Click on Browser for an IPSW and select the firmware file that you downloaded. Once the firmware has been verified, click on the next arroow and from the next screen select Simple Mode. Sn0wbreeze will then ask you if you want to activate your iPhone. Select Yes if you plan to unlock your phone using tools such as Ultrasn0w or No if you are on an official supported carrier or if you have a factory unlocked iPhone.

Sn0wbreeze will then start baking the custom iOS firmware file, this may take a while. Once done, the new firmware will be placed on your desktop. Sn0wbreeze will then ask you to enter Pwned DFU mode. You can follow the on-screen instructions on how to do this. Once in Pwned DFU mode, launch iTunes. Itunes will detect your device in recovery mode. On your keyboard hold down the left SHIFT key and click on Restore. Select the custom firmware file from your desktop. Let your device restore, this make take a little while. Once complete, your device will boot with Cydia installed.

As mentioned, this is a tethered jailbreak and as part of the process, Sn0wbreeze will create a new folder for a utility called iBooty on your desktop. To boot your device into the jailbroken state with working Cydia you have to launch iBooty from your desktop. Select your device from the drop-down menu and click on the start button from within the iBooty interface and follow the instruction on how to put your device into DFU mode. Once done, your device will boot up and you are all set to install tweaks and apps from Cydia.

Production Delays For iPhone 5S and Retina iPad Mini

We all know that Apple is expected to release a retina display version of the iPad mini this year along with an improved iPhone which is being dubbed the iPhone 5S. According to a research note from Ming-chi Kuo of KGI Securities both of these devices have been hit with delays.

The release date for the iPhone 5S was though to be July with announcement in June but now it appears that neither of these devices will be hitting the markets any time soon. Kuo touches on a number of reasons for Apple's struggles with the two devices in his report and among these is that there is difficulty integrating the heavily-rumored new fingerprint sensor into the iPhone 5S.

The fingerprint sensor looks set to be among the numerous features that are being added to the upcoming device, but if Kuo's words are to be believed, the feature may be causing more than a bit of a design headache. He stated that “Apple has to work out how to prevent interference from the black and white coating material under the glass.” No other company has attempted anything like this before on mobile devices so Apple can't look at any existing designs for inspiration or possible workarounds.

As well as the iPhone 5S, the next generation iPad mini is also proving to be a little more problematic than first thought and manufactureres seem to be having difficulty with the new retina disply panels. Kuo does however remain optimistic and he reckons that that these devices will make an appearance in the third quarter of this year, and even though no dates have been given, it looks like we might see a similar sequence of events as we did back in 2012.

Leaked Images Show iPad 5 Bezel Has Thinner Edges And New Form Factor

When it comes to the iPad, the iPad mini is thought to be the better looking of the models. The fourth generation iPad was almost identical to the iPad 2 except that it was heavier and thicker. It is strongly suspected that Apple is going to change the upcoming iPad 5 to make it more beautiful adding a touch of anodized aluminum. We still don't know if this really will be the case but a leaked image of the iPad 5 bezel seem to indicate that from the front the next generation iPad could be borrowing a few design points from the iPad mini.

Apple's decision to make the bezel thinner along the two vertical axes of the iPad mini is seen as being much more efficient from a design perspective and it also makes it easier for users to hold. It also looks much better. This leaked image could be just another person trying to ignite the rumor mill but with Apple having made no effort to alter the iPad 4's design, it may just be that Apple is planning to make some amendments this time round.

It's not very often that Apple releases products that are heavier or thicker than their predecessors, so a new iPad mini like design for the new iPad 5 could be on the cards. This will give us a lighter and better looking design too. The iPad 4 is pretty bloated considering how many revisions it has seen and it launched just seven months after the iPad 3. Leaks suggest that there could be a lot more time and effort being put into the next generation model.

The leaked image that we received cannot be verified so it is hard to tell whether it is fake or not and as with all rumors and leaked images we do have to wait on offical confirmation from Apple before we know exactly what we are getting. With that said, we fully expect to see Apple modernize the full size iPad to create a uniform look with the iPad mini. Fix iPhone Keyboard Shortcuts that Are Not Working After Jailbreaking iOS 6. x

If you have been having issues with your keyboard shortcuts not working properly after jailbreaking iOS 6. x then we have a couple of solutions that might just help you solve the problem.

It seems that a growing number of jailbroken users are having issues with previously setup keyboard shortcuts not functioning as they should, if at all. Being able to set up shortcuts on your iOS device is really handy especially for email addresses and such. When things go wrong however, they can be a chore to fix.

We still don't know why this issue has occurred and it could possibly be because of how the jailbreak works, or because of a jailbreak tweak having compatibility issues with this feature. The good news is that there area couple of workarounds available that can fix these issues. If you are having issues with the your iPhone keyword then why not try these fixes for yourself.

Fix 1:

Go to Settings > iCloud> Documents & Data. Toggle the switch to Off and allow your system to update. Next go to Settings > General > Keyboard and delete of all your installed keyboard shortcuts. Then go back to Settings > iCloud > Documents & Data and toggle the switch to On to re-enable Documents syncing through iCloud. You will need to reboot your device after this which may take a little bit of time but all of your shortcuts will be restored and should be functioning normally again.

Fix 2:

Go to Settings > General > Keyboard and select the keywords option. Select the currently enabled keyboard and change it to a different language. Without leaving the keyboard settings panel, re-select the native keyboard that you were originally using. Next go into a text editor and try some of your keyboard shortcuts and you should find that they are all working normally again.

As mentioned, we don't know why this is happening and there hasn't been any official word from the jailbreak Dev Teams. This does however seem to be a widespread issue with keyboard shortcuts on devices with the Evasi0n jailbreak iOS 6.1.2. Many people consider keyboard shortcuts to be very useful so these quick fixes should help to get everything back up and running. T-Mobile will officially carry the iPhone 5 from the 12th of this month and you can now pre-order from both Apple and T-Mobile. This iPhone will be fully compatible with the company's fledgling LTE infrastructure.

T-Moble seem to be striking back with vengence as each and every one of the big three carriers in the US have offer the Apple iPhone as an option to consumers for quite some time. Unlike the major network operators, T-Mobile's deals aren't as committing and those who prefer not to be tied into a two year contract are going to love T-Mobile's flexible plans.

The T-Mobile iPhone 5 will go on sale for just $99, with no cellular service contract attached. The likes of AT&T have operated something of a monopoly in recent years but their days of twelve and eighteen month contracts could disappear overnight. T-Mobile is looking to put some power back into the hands of the consumer by offering on of the industry's most sought aftter handsets with no contract. This could see a lot of users migrate from AT&T, Sprint and Verizon.

The new LTE network is not quite there yet but the company is looking to make it as fast as it possibly can. With a cheaper bill and less of a contractual hold, we expect that many T-Mobile iPhone 5 users will be very happy with their new found freedom. Work of course will be ongoing to build a solid LTE network too.

Carrier updates for T-Mobile users on unlocked iPhone 5s will also begin rolling out today, bringing support for 4G networks. We can't wait to see how many people buy into T-Mobile's alternative offerings.

Update On iOS 6.1.3 Jailbreak For iPhone 5

Following the news that Apple had plugged the Evasi0n untethered jailbreak for all A5 devices such as the iPhone 5, iPad and other new devices when they released iOS 6.1.3 people have been wondering what to do. This new firmware release meant it was back to square one for those purchasing new devices. Anybody who is running iOS 6.1.2 or earlier can jailbreak their device but not on iOS 6.1.3.

There is no untethered jailbreak just yet for the new firmware but we have seen plenty of encouraging signs for future firmware releases. Devices on A4 or earlier firmware can still enjoy a tethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 using Redsn0w as these devices are still susceptible to the Limera1n exploit and always will be.

The first hope of an untethered jailbreak similar to Evasi0n for iOS 6.1.3 was found by ex-Chronic Dev Team member P0sixninja and while his findings and those of Evad3rs member Pod2g have been encouraging, both have stated that they will probably save what they have discovered for a more significant firmware version such as iOS 7. This was confirmed on both their Twitter accounts earlier today.

While this news may be somewhat disheartening to those stuck on iOS 6.1.3, the Evasi0n jailbreak did afford everyone ample time to sort their devices out on iOS 6 and apply the untethered jailbreak while they could. The takeaway news here is that those who are on iOS 6.1.3 are very unlikely to see an untethered jailbreak and the next major release expected is to be iOS 7 which should be released sometime between July and September. If you are waiting on an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 then you might just have to wait for iOS 7 first.

Next Two iPhone Models To Have Steve Job's Design Aesthetics

According to a new report, an Apple representative has stated that the next two iPhones are to carry Steve Job's design aesthetics. According to Apple's government liaison, the next two generations of iPhone were developed a long time agon and that both were designed before Steve Jobs succumbed to his illness.

This news is going to be a shock for the many people who have lined up to criticize Job's successor, Tim Cook. There are a lot of people who have backed this new CEO and offered him their vote of confidence but there have also been a few snipes of “Steve wouldn't have let this happen” from numerous outlets. This recent development does however suggest that in terms of the iPhone, current designs and methods are very much in line with what Jobs would have wanted.

Michael Foulkes, Apple's government liaison, has revealed that Apple has been working on the idea of a “kill switch” system which could help to combat theft. He also went on to reveal that the next two generations of iPhone had already been developed and that they prededed Tim Cook. It is good to see that Jobs legacy is still very much alive and well and with this news should also see iPhone fans more excited about the next iPhone release which is due later this year.

Exploits Found For iOS 6.1.3 Jailbreak

P0sixninja claims to have found iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak exploits. Joshua Hill or P0sixninja as he is better known has been very quiet since his departure from the Chronic Dev Team but it looks like he could be about to propel himself back into the limelight. He has claimed that he has all the necessary exploits needed for the production of a new jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3.

He made the claims via his Twitter account and this has always been his platform choice when it comes to making any jailbreak based announcements. The Evad3rs team have been getting all of the attention but that could be about to change. On his twitter account @p0sixninja said, “Evad3rs haven't gone anywhere, I've just discovered all the needed exploits on my own over the past few months.” He also went on to say, “well, so far it looks like the next jailbreak might be created entirely by me.”

If these Twitter claims do prove to be accurate then it looks like those die hard jailbreak fans who have been holding off on upgrading their devices to the latest firmware might not need to wait for much longer. Although P0sixninja hasn't confirmed whether he will release a jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 or wait till a major version of iOS 7 is released later this year, it still is great news for the jailbreak community.

There is no information available and P0sixninja doesn't claim to have a working jailbreak at the moment either. Still, it is great news to know that work is ongoing behind the scenes and that a jailbreak might be made available very soon.
