Joshua was a man that was a leader in the rebuilding of Jerusalem (Ezra 5:2). Satan’s favorite people to attack and accuse are those God is using the most and those being effective for God. So if Satan attacks you, you might ought to take it as a sign your in the right place.
Verses: Zechariah 3:1

This would be almost unbelievable to these people. That Zion would prosper? They would of said “Get real!” most likely. At this time Jerusalem didn’t even have a temple. Much less walls! And yet in just 4 years the temple was finished (Ezra 6:15). It is so much fun to read about God doing the impossible!
Verses: Zechariah 1:17

And He didn’t give us that spirit because we aren’t supposed to be that way. We are to be…
Full of power… the word for power used here is dunamis. Sound like anything? Dynamite!
Full of love… the Greek word used for love is agape, meaning a unconditional love.
Disciplined… having power to control our sinful desires.
Verses: 2 Timothy 1:7

OOOOOOO hallelujah God, I am excited in glory and powerrrrrrrrrrrr come on come on somebody help me shout I cant help myself here hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa LORD.

God I am living in the glory of God DAILY,…. Living in the exact plan and direction of God for my queen wife and I,……. Are you? Only you would honey!
The Holy Spirit said to me ‘teach this knowledge and let revelation flow for people to see this truth that I have shown you, and they can see it in my word in me.’

This was after I had a discussion with a friend of mine about the original purpose of God creating us. Boy I tell ya,….. spit flying and dentures vibrating, we trashed in,….. not out,….. but in boy,… the word of God that is, about the original purpose of Man on earth.
Question mate….. WHAT IS GOD’S ORIGINAL PURPOSE IN MAKING MAN?

Got your bible honey?..... get the big black book you’ve not read since last year’s Christmas midnight mass glory to God forever more….. you know what I mean eh!
The answer blindly given by many Christians are …‘we are created to worship God’ or ‘we are created to serve God’, …… or even ‘we are created to preach’…… WHAT? Since when did God,… the elohim,.. the creator uncreated,… the I am that I am,…… the self existing one continually in full revelation of himself,… since when does God need people to worship him? He is not worship or power hungry, is He? Ooooo NO honey,…. HE IS THE POWER, come on man! Since when does God need our help? We walk and work with God now because we are of him and in partnership with him, but God can do EVERYTHING right?....... So God does not need MAN for the sole purpose in creation to worship Him, serve Him or help Him. We are to walk and work with him on earth because of Genesis 1:26 and 2:7… powerful here glory to God. In other words ,… we are his… we are of him,…. Not walking or working with God is like Jesus or the Holy Spirit not walking or working with God get my drifter of a funny bone drift?! It is an issue of INEVITABILITY. Get back to me ‘hook-line-and-sinker’ for deeper explanations glory to God!.... interpretation – ‘in a flash’ glory to God.
Genesis 1:26 clearly gives the context of the creation of man as for rulership of the earth God had made in his pleasure (Revelations 4:11),…. Ayayaaaaaaaaaa Lord, I feel good pararararararam!

God placed man in the garden to keep and dress it,.. that is to take care and rule over it,… maintaining it as God would (Genesis 2:8, 15 and Revelations 5:10)…….. God I love this strong,…. Do you ? Notice that after the fall,… after man had sinned, God never cursed man,….. only two things he cursed….. the serpent and the ground! If he had cursed man, God would have cursed himself!!! WOW!

Digest this nuggets of power:
IF PEOPLE KNOW WHO THEY ARE IN GOD AND CREATION, THEY WILL KNOW WHO GOD IS AND NOT BE HELD BY SIN.

SIN WHICH WAS ALREADY PRESENT IN SATAN CAME TO MANKIND BECAUSE MAN DID NOT WALK IN DIVINE AUTHORITY.

THERE IS SIN PRESENT BECAUSE PEOPLE DON’T KNOW WHO THEY REALLY AND TRULY ARE.

THE PURPOSE OF PREACHING (NEVER AN ORIGINAL PURPOSE OR INTENTION OF GOD FOR MANKIND) IS TO LET PEOPLE KNOW WHO THEY ARE IN GOD.

The world must know the truth of who they are ,……. Not just a creation thing but an image of God,…. An original replica of GOD honey, an original! You are an original, did you know that? I mean did you really and livingly know that?....... remember this, LIFE means living in full enthusiasm.
So buddie, stop riding on ya old motor cycle because you are waiting for the return of Jesus, sell the old banger of a thing glory to God…… rather than being foolishly earthly minded and rob yourself of the greatness of LIFE God has purposed it to be for you. Rather than living sick, Jehovah’s witness please receive your healing you will still live in a perfect world with the animals later on if you are truly saved glory to God. Seven day Adventists, please take everyday as a holy day cause God is ALWAYS with ya not just on Saturdays,….. hahahaaaaaaaaaaaa LORD have mercy.
I love you and wish above all things that you will prosper in the glory goodness of God’s prosperity for you.
God richly bless ya, this is Clement and Elizabeth in glory saying LIFE is living in full enthusiasm.
Verses: Genesis 1:26, Genesis 2:7, Revelation 4:11, Revelation 5:10

The Hebrews, a people saved by God from their slavery in Egypt. A type for us today? A caution of sin's deceitfulness, God's view of indulging it as disobedience, a warning to obey, considering His salvation. The equating of disobedience with unbelief and the consequence being unable to "enter His rest."

Perseverance in Christ = salvation; "ensures" entrance into Heaven? Time on earth, saved or unsaved, exposed to sin's deceitfulness while here; don't be naive but obey - believe!
Verses: Hebrews 3:12

20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21 ESV)

This is the end of the third chapter of Ephesians which finishes some of the most concise, deep theological passages in the entire New Testament. Paul starts of the book going through predestination, sovereign choice, our inheritance in Christ, the new birth, and salvation pile-driving into the mystery of the gospel being that it was meant also for the gentiles. He goes into the fact that he is the one graced with this mystery to bring it to the gentiles and to the world, as the “least of the apostles”. He proclaims that the reason he is in chains is for this mystery, in order that he might preach the gospel to the gentiles and the unsearchable riches of Christ.

What strikes me most about this is that Paul is overall joyful in his tone. He says not to lose heart over his sufferings and in the midst of all the pain and suffering he experiences in his years of imprisonment he prays. That makes sense, after he talks about his sufferings he says, “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father” (Ephesians 3:14) Alright, this makes sense, after suffering he prays, right? For freedom from the suffering and imprisonment so he can keep preaching, right? No, Paul is completely saturated with his churches, and his people, his thoughts, his prayers are continually for his people. He says the reason he prays to the Father:

[So that] according to the riches of [God's] glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:16-19 ESV)

Wow! This passage was entirely too convicting for me, if that is even possible. So often my prayer life (maybe yours too!) is so selfish and grounded in my own suffering and pain. I pray for peace and rest and for my own struggles, and I’m not saying that’s wrong, but maybe I spend too little time in prayer. Maybe I don’t spend enough time loving others.

The greatest way to love someone is to pray for them. So often it seems like an offhanded comment to say, “I’ll pray for you.” And so often it is. I believe that prayer is one of the greatest and most powerful gifts we have been given. And prayer should never be taken lightly. Far too often I think it’s enough to pray on the way to work, while I’m slightly distracted by driving, for five minutes. Prayer is something I’ve done weakly for years and it is one of the most convicting things to see someone who prays hard. What did Jesus say in the garden to his disciples, “Could you not stay awake and pray for only one hour?” ONLY? Pray hard, pray often, put effort, sweat, tears and blood if need be into your prayers. Don’t patronize God with a weak prayer life, I’m talking to myself here. Don’t throw up a five second prayer before meals and say your prayer life is thriving. Don’t be a fool!

Paul doesn’t pray just for his people, he praises God, and glorifies Christ in his prayer. The closing sentence in his prayer is unbelievably rich in faith. He says that Christ can do more than we can even think or think to ask! Jesus is so far beyond me in capability, knowledge, wisdom, power and love. I cannot do what Jesus can do, so why should I try to do the things that he should be doing? Why should I try to increase the faith of my brothers and neglect to pray for the increase in their faith? Why should any of us neglect to ask the Father for the things only He can give? Ministry, in any way shape or form, is bound to fail without prayer. Life is bound to be less than it should be without prayer. If you fail to honor and glorify Jesus in prayer and humble yourself before God, then what good are you going to do? I desperately beg you and demand of myself not to make excuses. Lose sleep, miss time spent with friends, miss your television shows, miss a meal if you need to – but pray! Pray! Pray for me; pray for your pastor; pray for your leaders; pray for your friends; pray for your family; pray for your enemies and those who are not saved! Fight the urge of self-sufficiency and fall on your knees for those around you and stop the constant struggle of doing life alone. We have been offered the one way to God through Jesus so why don’t we pray more? Pray, pray, pray!

By the strength that God supplies,
Sean

Acts 1:12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey. 13 And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

After just seeing Jesus ascend what should be the disciples’ next move? Their first move was to be obedient to what Jesus had just told them to do. Acts 1:4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me." What a concept! I wish I would do more of that! I need to make sure that I am being obedient to what God has already told me to do, to wait, and to pray. It seems so simple but yet so difficult for me to do. Too often I am doing what I think is right in my own eyes. Lord Jesus, please help me to have the courage and willingness to be obedient and the patience to wait and pray before I make my next move.
Verses: Acts 1:12-14

Man, this just really hit me. I've heard the story of Moses and the Red Sea many times before, but for some reason I've never thought of it the way that this verse talks about it. So many times we get stuck in these spots where we see no way out, so we get depressed or complain and lose hope. We get so caught up in our human limits that we forget that God has a way. I just love how this verse says that God led the people of Israel on a path that no one knew was there. It just shows how He always has his way, even if we don't see it. We always have hope, we just have to turn to God.
Verses: Psalm 77:19

I tend to run - it's my defense mechanism. If things get tough, then "See ya" and I'm gone. I used to think it was fairly unique to me, until I started noticing all the "runners" in the Bible. Look at Jonah - he ran from God and ended up in a gigantic fish.

In the last year I've realized something, I'm tired of running. I've run this way and that way and the only thing that has ever come out of my running is pain, baggage and frustration. I never end up better for it. So I now face the pain head on. Is it easy? Nope. Do I still get the urge to run? All the time. Did the pain stop? Nope...but this way, I'm not alone. I may be headed straight into a inevitable valley, but I'm never alone in that valley. I can look to my side and see that God is right next to me. Waiting for me to reach out to him, to trust in him, to draw my strength from him, to experience the valley with him.

I still have valleys to go through - we all do. The Bible never promises we won't. But this time, the only place I'm running to is straight into the arms of God.

Psalm 11:1 - I’ve already run for dear life straight to the arms of God.
Psalm 23:4 - Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me
Psalm 29:11 - The Lord gives strength to his people
Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength
Verses: Psalm 11:1, Psalm 23:4, Psalm 29:11, Psalm 46:1

I don’t think they were punished because they held some back. God doesn’t call all to give all. But I think they were punished because they lied.
This reminds me of the saying “Feel far from God? He hasn’t moved.” If we lose intimacy with God we have to go after restoring it with all our heart. And change ourselves, not try to change Him.
Verses: Malachi 3:7

Many churches today are focusing on being seeker friendly. But what is really seeker friendly? In this verse, Paul says that he was innocent of the blood of all men because he had preached the full counsel of God. He didn't hold back anything in proclaiming the gospel. Sometimes Christians can be perceived as being offensive in preaching against sin, but it is needful regardless of how we are perceived. If a person goes to the doctor and has cancer, they need to be told the truth. The consequences are death. The same goes for the spiritual. Seekers need to be told the Truth. To not tell them the truth is not very friendly at all. Click below for more info on this subject:
