“I used to pray and believe God wasn’t speaking back to me, but now I can hear Him through His Word. Because of the Bible App, my relationship with God is more intimate. Bible Plans are how I can stay consistent in God’s Word, and I love that I can compare Bible versions.”

Because of you, people like Jackie can experience a deeper relationship with God through His Word. Thank you.

Sower Spotlight — Meet Francis

“I’ve been using the Bible App for a few years now. The Verse of the Day, Guided Prayer, Plans have turned reading Scripture into a daily habit, and that habit has led me closer to God.

For a long time, I gave once a year and figured that was enough.

Then I had my daughter download Bible App for Kids for my granddaughters. Watching them start their own journey with God’s Word, I realized something: everyone deserves this same access. That’s when I knew I had to become a Sower.”

— Francis, United States

Hope isn’t out of reach. Despair isn’t the end of your story. God has a different plan for you.

God can heal your broken heart.

“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”

— Psalm 34:18 ESV

If you feel overwhelmed, you were never meant to carry life’s hardships on your own. God created you to run to Him in times of distress, and His peace is freely available for you today.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

— John 14:27 ESV

If you feel stuck in anxiousness or grief, God encourages us to come to Him for complete healing. And He promises to meet us with His presence, just like He met Julia.

“I was running away from everything…”

Julia felt overwhelmed, but one email from YouVersion changed her story. The subject line read, “Are you in despair?”, and she knew that she needed to read further. Through this simple decision, she discovered that Jesus was there all along, waiting for her to come to Him.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

— Matthew 11:28 ESV

If you think despair is the end of your story…

Watch how God met Julia when she deeply needed His Word in her life.

Watch Julia’s Story

Throughout His Word, God teaches the importance of biblical community.

Scripture reminds us to be there for one another, to love our neighbors, and to intentionally walk through life together.

But sometimes, it can be easy to let the habit of meeting together slip. Our full, busy lives can distract us from staying connected.

That’s why God calls us to continually encourage one another.

Think of someone in your life who could use encouragement. Maybe you haven’t heard from them in a while—or you know they’re in the middle of a challenging situation.

Imagine what it would mean for that person to open their phone and find a verse waiting, chosen by someone who was thinking of them.

In the Bible App, it’s easier than ever to encourage your Friends with God’s Word.

All you have to do is go to your Friends list, pick a Friend, choose a verse, and hit send. Try it today!

Try Now

The world tries to define you based on what you do.

But your identity doesn’t come from the world. Your identity comes from God.

And in His Word, He tells you exactly how He sees you.

Discover who God says you are with these 10 verses from Ephesians…

You Are Chosen

Think about that for a moment. God chose you to be His, even before He made anything. You’re not a mistake, and you’ve never been forgotten. You are chosen.

You Are Forgiven

Grace is a free gift we don’t deserve. And because of God’s grace, life looks different. You’re no longer defined by your past—you’re defined by who God says you are. And He says you are forgiven.

You Belong to God

God sent Jesus to the world so that through Him, no one would be separated from God’s presence. But that gift came at a cost—one that He has already paid for you. Jesus paid the ultimate price so that you could spend eternity with Him, as His (see: John 3:16). Through Jesus, you aren’t cast aside, ignored, or forgotten. You belong to God.

You Are Loved

Anyone who belongs to God receives the gift of new life. And when you choose to follow Jesus, your past, present, and future shift. You aren’t unknown, cast away, or unwanted—you are forever loved.

You Have A Purpose

1 Peter 4:10 (ESV) reminds us that, “as each has received a gift, use it to serve one another.” You were created with unique gifts to live out the calling God has for your life. You have a purpose.

You Are Close to God

Because of Jesus, you can walk through life confidently knowing that God is with you. He’s with you in every moment, even the hardest ones. He’s never far from you. You are always close to God.

You Are Not Alone

God’s love is wide, long, high, and deep. In other words, you can’t outrun or escape it. And it’s that unending love that is given to followers of Jesus all over the world! You’re part of a global community. You are not alone.

You Matter to God

As a follower of Jesus, you’re part of the global church. You fit perfectly, and God created you with unique gifts and talents to serve Him and love others. You matter to God.

You Are Made for More

Think about how following Jesus has changed your life. He calls you to live as a “child of light.” In other words, you’re called to live, act, and speak in ways that honor God. You are made for more.

You Have God’s Strength

God doesn’t leave you to face your challenges alone. He gives you His strength to face them, and He never leaves your side. He gives you truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and His Word. You have God’s strength.
