Guess what, you're right.

I had completely forgotten about that girl, but she used to have a solo project running and I went to check it out again. Turns out there's an interview in Tom Tom Magazine (magazine about female drummers) dating from July already, and it turns out that the DIY-project involves other people now, and that an EP will be released with Manimal Vinyl in Spring 2010, featuring John on guitar!

Well I know everything about John Frusciante's past about guitar playing and drugs and stuff, but how did he learn to sing like that?
For some reason I can't imagine him taking voice lessons or something. And when did he actually decide that he wanted to sing?

Does anyone know more about it?

I'm not huge into it, but I have to use it or come up with something that sounds like it for a "client" of mine. I know alot of the sounds in this trailer use it and I was wondering if anyone has any idea how to replicate(not duplicate) these sounds. I figured I'd give this forum a shot with the question as well as some other ones, cant hurt =)

Meanings of Frusciante's songs

I've been listening to John's solo music for 20 months(ish) now, I've heard every song he's released many many times. I've read the lyrics, I've learned the tunes, I've discovered so much information about him, but theres still one thing that puzzles me..... and that is , What is John trying to say in his songs?

There are some which look like really obvious reasons eg. Regret. Although I'm sure he said somewhere that the song isn't about regretting his past. Which just added to my confusion.
I've been on song meaning sites, I've listened for hours on end to Frusciante songs, tryin to decipher what the lyrics could mean, but I've had no luck.

He has such an incredible writing style, I can't decide whether it's incredible complex and crazy, or really simple and random with hidden meanings.

Hey you!

I see alot people wants to recreate JF's sound and even with a Jubilee amp they have a hard time nailing it..
That made me wonder, does anyone know what kinda of tubes Frusciante uses in his Jubilee amps or for that sake his Major?
That might be the most important part of his tone really

Apparently, the phenomenon of WH10 topics on this forum was acknowledged by a fellow member and we thought that's where it ends. Apparently, IBANEZ WERE AWARE OF IT, TOO.

The product manager of Ibanez pedals and amps just wrote to me to let me know about the biggest news ever. WH10 is being reissued.

Booster Pedal

Hey for christmas my parents said they would buy me a few pedals, and i'm looking for something to use as a solo booster for my ds2, andi have basicly narrowed it down to the ibanez ts9 or a fuzz pedal, and i was wondering what u guys would recomend

the positives of the ts9: great solo booster, also used for light overdrive, good for pearl jam, compact
Negatives: bit pricy

Positives of a fuzz pedal: great to use on its own, some are cheaper (big muff e.g)
negatives: not the best for boosting, no possible light overdrive tones, generally big pedals

so if you guys could help that would be great, i'm heading towards the ts9 right now, but i would like your opinions

Opinions of One Hot Minute

Up until now i have found that most RHCP fans absolutely hate One Hot Minute....I've come to think that if John played instead of Dave great songs on it such as 'My Friends', 'Aeroplane', 'Falling Into Grace', among others would be much more popular even if the songs were the same. Hopefully that makes sense...I just wanted to find out what the rest of you guys think about the album.

I personally thinks its a great album...its up there with all the rest.
