So last time I updated you on my progress I have a total of 436 comics posted and in queue for 2016. This was on January 22nd (man, it’s been way to long since I’ve updated you!) A lot’s changed since then. Since I know you like numbers and break downs as much as I do, let’s break it down!

That’s a lot of comics. I only need to make 382 more comics over the next 8 months to hit my goal of 1000 comics posted in 2016! That seems like a lot, but heres some more numbers for you. This is how many comics I have created by month since I started this quest in October 2015.

Not bad, I’ve slowed down since late last year, but that’s ok. To hit the 1000 comics by December 31, 2016 I need to average 54.625 comics created per month, or roughly I need to create 1.82 per day. Considering one of my comics is a daily one I do on Instagram, this really shouldn’t be that hard to do. 

My only question is once I reach that 1000 comic benchmark, do I stop there or keep going and just see how many I can post this year?

We are ONE MONTH into this CRAZY goal I have set to post ONE THOUSAND comics this year.

So how am I doing so far?

That’s a pretty good first month. I was looking to break 100 in the first month, but to hit the 1000 I only need to average 83 per month. In the first month I’m ahead of the game?

So how am I doing going into February? Well, today is the 10th and I’ve posted 37 comics already with 34 in queue for the rest of this month for a total of 71. If I add in the y2cldaily comic I do everyday on Instagram, which will add 19, this brings out total for February up to 90. Still very much on track to hit the 1000 comics posted in 2016!

Again, why am I doing this? Because I want to see if I can.

I relaunch y2cl.net and it’s various comics on 1/1/2016.

That’s right, the y2cl-verse of comics is back! And better than ever!

On to my point. We had a homework assignment one night and being the good little student I was, I did my homework in the class prior to physics. We grade our test and one of the questions involves figuring out how many bus drivers are needed for any given metropolitan area, given it’s population and size. Something went horribly wrong with my math and I was WAY off.

Before I move on, let me let you in on a little secret. I was that kid teachers loved and hated. I was clever, smart and convincing. Case in point, my 11th grade English teacher let me bring a couch into her class room because I didn’t like sitting at the desk.

Moving on, I quickly re-wrote the formula to the problem so that I was figuring out how many ‘Happy Bus Drivers’ there would be in any given metropolitan area, given population and size.

Needless to say my teacher, and classmates got a good laugh about it, but I explained my case, walked the class through The Happy Bus Driver Theorem and oddly enough, got credit for the problem.

And now, with out further delay, I present to you for the first time…

The Happy Bus Driver Theorem!

H=number of happy bus drivers
P=Population
C=Percent that ride the buss
B=people per bus
S=average number of stops
R=average number of roads on route

H=((P*C)/B)/Rx10^-1+(b/s)

So let’s put this into practice for the Washington DC area.

H=?
P=570,000
C=25%
B=57
S=8
R=12

so that means H=((570,000*.25)/57)/12×10^-1(57/8)

This means that roughly 25% of the bus drivers in Washington DC are happy, leaving the other 75% unhappy!

Fun stuff for a fun world!

So remember, ods are your bus driver is unhappy! Oh, and keep in mind this theorum ONLY works for city bus drivers, there’s a whole new set of variables for school bus drivers.

The second in Jhonen‘s Filler Bunny comics.

I have to say, this comic is funny as shit. it really reminds me of how i would approach doing a comic in 2 nights, or one night like he did his first Filler Bunny.

Fans of Jhonen will defiantly like this one, since he hasn’t really turned out nay crap yet. Well ok, Filler Bunny IS crap, but its funny crap.

I made the mistake of reading revenge of the filler bunny first, but oh well. I really enjoyed this crap. I love it when the reader is taken out of just being a reader and made like they are sitting there watching the artist do the story. Of course, it makes for horrid story telling, but funny pages.

I decided to read this one because it looked really cute, and sometimes I’m a sucker for cute things. Hey, don’t be biased, all of jhones shit is cute, I mean come on squee? Grrr? Filler bunny? All cute.

Anyway, I read the first issue, and I have to say it wasn’t bad. I wasn’t expecting much cause of the premise, but then again it is by ben dunn, who I have much respect for. The art is fantastic, good use of tones (which I still have no clue how to use) and great panel layout.

I want the next issue, I have the third issue, but cant really read it without number 2. I am curious to see how this series is going to pan out.

Also, I thought the second page was really fucking sad, made me sniffle. Poor guy.

I have 2 pages finished, a third finished art, and a 4th that I am still penciling, and many many more written. So we shall see. But wouldn’t that be awesome? Me having a book printed by slave labor? My heroes!

Anyway, it is 2:30am and I am pretty fucking tired, just got off City Of Heroes where I got my new Defender named Mr Pinky-Poo (new and improved) up to lvl 12, and he now has Hurricane (I realize this makes no sense to anyone who doesn’t play MMORPG, but then again, fuck you.)

Oh, and apparently Jeremy from OMGjeremy.com said that my art is ‘odd’. Go me.
