I broke down and bought a “camcorder” yesterday. I am always thinking about doing it, especially since Hubby is gone so much. I thought it’d be nice for him to actually get to see video of things that go on around here while he’s gone. Right?

So I’ve been recording everything. EVERYTHING. Wuzzle eating a Banana. (Which she now says “Bannna”!) Wuzzle watching “Dora”. Me folding laundry. Wuzzle throwing the laundry I just folded. Even a small bit of bath time. (I just need to learn to hold it more steady – as the following video is proof!)

At least I feel that way sometimes.

The other day at my MOPS meeting, we had “Tea and Testimony” (sitting around a table, and everyone shares something about their lives.) I sat, listening to all the stories. Commenting where appropriate. Laughing. Crying. Just like everyone else in the room.

It came to be my turn. The first thing I said? “My husband is gone six weeks at a time, then home for six days.” (My topic was “Husbands”) Then it came. I knew it would. It always does. Every.Single.Time. If I mention my husband, his job or our situation.

*GASP*

A collective “Wow”. 27 women gasping. Awing. Wowing.

Really. I promise. I’m not a freak. I love my husband. He loves me. He loves me and our daughter so much, that he makes huge sacrifices so we can live the life we do. I miss him. Sometimes, it sucks. But it’s our life. It’s what WE chose together.

But some-days? I really miss him. I really miss him.

It’s times like this that life without my husband sucks. I’m on day #2 of not wanting to move from the couch. Day #5 of doing 2 loads of laundry a day, just to make sure my toddler has a clean place to sleep at night, and clean jammies.

The other day, while laying on the couch in misery, my poor little girl finally found some energy. She disappeared for a few minutes. I was too BLAH to be concerned. And when she returned? She had a Swimsuit on her head. A mini-skirt from the 1980’s. And the biggest giggle I’ve heard in ages.

Please ignore all the junk on the floor. As I mentioned, I was laying on my deathbed couch for the previous 2 days.

I have thrown Wuzzle in the tub at least twice a day for the last three days.

We went through an entire bag of diapers in two days.

And my poor cuddly little one isn’t feeling any better yet.

She used to love to cuddle too.

But lately? Lately she loves to wag her finger and tell me “No!” and then yell it progressively louder.

And looking at the camera? Forget it! She has the prettiest blue eyes, but you’ll never get to see them. Not from my camera anyway.

In fact? I’m lucky if I can keep up with her enough to get a shot of her running away  most days anymore!

Wuzzle loved the idea of feeding the giraffes. That is, until she felt it’s tongue. Then? The following face ensued!

Of course, her absolute favorite part? The carousel! She loved it so much she started to cry as it slowed down. LOL!

And of course, just spending time with the boys, was great for her.

I get to have another husband! And, my first husband doesn’t mind a bit. I had to laugh when a friend first referred to my best friend that way. But the more I think about it? The more I agree.

This week alone, he drove 75 miles to tow my car. He also hung a ceiling fan for me. Helped move our motorcycle so I could park a car in the garage. And was my only source of adult contact.

Without him? I’d go insane.

I never intended to leave my blog, that wasn’t the plan. But it happened. I’ve been spending my days doing the same thing I was before, playing with Wuzzle and working towards nursing school. (More of the former, less of the later.)

But I’ve realized I’ve been neglecting my poor blog for far too long. And my kid has too many fun stories that I’m not sharing.
