The newer code works. It now shows the post titles for each marker on the map as before. Thank you.

But I have been unable to set the height (override the default map size) with the newer code.

Prior I was able to include height=xxx but I can’t seem to figure out the proper code or if the height in the code will work. Since this is a map being used to show all posts of the blog it looks better to have a larger map with all the of google markers.

sorry forgot to ask:

For some reason my lats and longs show up using the template tags but not the map itself. The size is displayed but the map is all black. Any ideas?

Thanx for the tip, I ended up using add_post_type_support but will change to using wpgeo in the post type registration function.

How have you added the custom post type?
In theory if you install WP Geo and go to the WP Geo settings page there should be a checkbox to turn on for your custom post type.

Or when you’re registering your post type, when you set the things your post type supports (comments, revisions etc) you can add “wpgeo” to this list.

Hello,
I am trying to figure out how to add wp-geo to a custom post type in WP 3.0.1. I think I need to hook it into my my register_post_type() function but am unsure of the syntax needed. Can I simply include the wp-geo php file?

Can you try replacing:

< ?php if ( isset($wpgeo) ) $wpgeo->categoryMap(); ?>

with:

< ?php if ( function_exists( 'get_wpgeo_map' ) ) echo get_wpgeo_map('numberposts=-1'); ?>

I have been using the wp-geo template as described above since the original post date. It has been working great.

I just noticed on my map page the title of the marker is not the post title but the title of the page. For all markers it shows the title as the current page and not the corresponding post title.

The marker link works correctly to the proper post.

Any thoughts? Has anything changed recently. I am not sure how long it has shown this. I am running current wp-geo and wordpress.

I have been using this plugin for a while and I like it very much. I have read the comments above and I was wondering how the code would change to show all posts from a tag (not a category). Thanks for any help.

The type of WPGEO map saves correctly along with zoom level and then displays as wanted in the post.

However if I edit a post in the editor the zoom level and type of map default displayed defaults to original setting and loses all previous settings.

If I edit only the text attributed to the post then the default WPGEO setting that was previously saved should also be the same. But this is not the case. It defaults back to the default setting,

Just an update!

I have figured it out… bad widget was causing all the grief.

The only question, issue I have is I would like the marker to display the title of the post in my mash up map page?

It seems ok…. no post title on marker but still links correctly.

The issue I am having is with the widget map it now is stuck with on marker and does not update itself and seems to be stuck pointing to a post with no actually map coordinates set???

Ben, the earlier versions were working fine, but now the maps don’t show on our Beaches website which is the most prominent beach site on the internet. I’m not sure if it has to do with the Thesis theme we use. Any suggestions?

Your plug in is awesome!!!

I have the mash map page made and its great… the only issue is that for some reason all my markers tootips are set to map

Is there a way to make them pop up with the post title?

Not sure if it’s something I’ve missed – but when I’m on a category view, the map shows fine, but when I mouse over the markers, there is no bubble to popup with the post title?
