Chocolatier Alert: Compartes is the shiz. Wowlebrity Mary Ann invited me to enjoy her "groupon" to this 60-year-old LA chocolatier house that hand-makes each chocolate. We split PB w/ honey & salt, Mexican hot chocolate, smoked salt, vanilla pepper, and the best damn chocolate to date: The cheese & pear. My mouth is flooded with saliva as we speak and Jonathan behind the counter is not bad on the eyes either. Here are a couple pics I took with my iPhone. Enjoy.

Jamie O'Shea, the single brain behind the website Office for the Development of Substitute Materials, has come up with the vertical bed, a handy contraption that hooks into subway ventilation grating for support and with the addition of blackout sunglasses and noise-cancellation headphones allows a tired city dweller to nap soundly just about anywhere there's subway grating. The whole thing folds up and fits into a briefcase. The bed was field-tested one evening on Broadway and 33rd Street in New York City, the city that famously never sleeps, by a man who took an upright nap for 40 minutes. (via Design Launches)

Wow! Yum! Holy Moley! The $50 million Bono/Edge-scored Broadway musical is set to debut "sometime in 2010" starring THIS DUDE, Reeve Carney from the band Carney. And all I can say is "POINT ME TO THE TICKET WINDOW!" and "Tobey WHO?" because I AM IN LOVE! YOWZA! He's somewhere between Jordan Catalano and Edward Cullen on the International Hotness Scale (IHC), with maybe a little Young Jack Sparrow thrown in for good measure. Oh! Oh! And a pre-meth face Ethan Hawke! And have I mentioned yet that I'm totally in love? Because, well, WOW! OMG! I AM! I AM! (via WENN)

A worn out, raspy-voiced French woman (is there any other kind?) interviews Karl Lagerfeld's "muse" Baptiste Giabiconi... shirtless! While doing sit-ups! It's in French, bien sur, not that any of you will notice. You will just be mesmerized by his sweet, sweet smile, and that perfect little body of his. If you must know though, he is talking about how he was working in a factory in Marseille, assembling electronic parts of planes, when he was scouted at the gym. He also wonders why he has such little success with girls since he is now one of the most popular models in the world. And finally he discusses how "everything started with Karl and how he has never left Karl's side ever since the day he stepped into his studio in Paris." Which is totally sweet, but I think that pretty much answers the question about the girls, amiright? Models! Not the brightest bulbs. ALSO, interesting side note: When I played this video for WOW's resident Frenchman, Kevin Andreu, he immediately burst out laughing at Baptiste's Marseille accent, which he says is very "provincial" sounding, and "totally laid back" and "boastful." Apparently the Marseillais are slightly akin to our rednecks. In short, according to Kevin, Baptiste is a bit of a hick, and a total tool. Which probably explains how Lagerfeld hooked him. John X made a big mistake while emailing his mistress Lisa, both of whom are employed at Cornell University. He accidently sent their lusty, filthy chain email to the entire school on Friday! You can check out their entire, ahem, exchange here. Administration responded by sending this email asking everyone to please discard the email and apologized for it being sent. The school also provided students with someone to talk to, because of Cornell's high suicide rate.

Gossip Girl Report 3.9: Three Is Not a Magic Number

Our Gossip Girl girl in Manhattan, the lovely and talented wowlebrity Lydia Rendon, is of several alternate minds about that threeway on last night's episode.

The buildup for this episode should have been Jenny becoming the official Queen Bitch of Constance and not the over-hyped threesome. Now I say this not because a threesome isn't a fun storyline to stir up trouble; I say this because it happened with the three lamest people on the show! Sadly, I feared something like this would happen, what a letdown.

Instead if pairing Serena, Nate, and Trip or Blair, Chuck, and Nate or Serena, Trip, and Brandeis, the call girl from last week (this should be saved for the future Trip scandal episode!) who had the threesome? Dan, Olivia, and dreadlock queen Vanessa. Dan is going to over analyze this threesome to death! He's going to talk about the meaning of it all with Rufus and Lily over the Humphrey brainwashing waffles. Boring boring boring. Adding Vanessa into the mix just makes it that much worse. The obvious being it's a threeway with Vanessa, she's rivaling Nate with her creepy Endless Nights knowledge, has had a crush on Dan for years, and stupidly did not have her camera on her – celebrity sex tape, hello! I think I would have rather seen Dan, Olivia, and Georgina hitting the sheets. At least Georgina would have made it interesting.

Far away from the Brooklyn threesome letdown, the rest of the GG group was gearing up for Debutante Ball. Remember how badly Jenny wanted to be a part of the Debutante Ball back in season one? Well it's finally her turn, only Little J has no one to escort her. Yes, the boring duo of Jenny and Eric actually took over the majority of the episode, but it looks like these bff's aren't going to be so friendly anymore. After Eric was yogurt-bashed by Jenny's minions (ep 3.7) things haven't been the same, only Eric isn't standing for it anymore. He teams up with Blair to embarrass Jenny at the ball. Why is Blair at the ball? Well, she's a "mentor" but let's be real, Jenny insulted her headband so Blair was more then willing to help Eric. However, leave it to Nate to save Jenny for the, hmmm, I think fifth time. Nate really just needs to hook up with Jenny and be done with it. Another threesome opportunity missed: Jenny, Nate, and Eric. Now that would be drama.

Aside from giving little Van Der Woodsen scheming tips, Blair was spending quality time trapped in an elevator with the other much sluttier Van Der Woodsen sibling. Courtesy of Chuck, the women were forced to get over their fight while locked inside an elevator with only scotch, cookies, and time to reflect on Serena's daddy issues and thoughts of banging Trip. B listened and chimed in on Serena's summer father search with Carter and gave a big NO to sleeping and working with Trip. Oh yeah, Trip likes having Serena around so much he gave her a PR job, because that's what any other newly elected politician would do. He even tries to play it off by saying she will be reporting to "Bryan" and tells her she's smart in this episode, so it clearly goes to show he's not thinking with his brain when talking to her. And yet another example of a threesome opportunity missed: Serena, Trip and "Bryan." Then again, maybe I'm not thinking big enough with the threesome. Who knows, maybe the real shock will come with the introduction of Serena's dad... Lily, Rufus, and the original Van Der Woodsen. Until then, let's hope Dan's analysis will be muffled by a mouth full of waffles and Vanessa really did get all the action on tape, mysteriously leaked to TMZ.

Re James' post from earlier today wondering if Madonna is older than the parents of her beloved Jesus: Why, yes, in fact she is. Madge is 15 years older than his hairdresser mother Cristiane, who's 36, and had Jesus when she was 13, according to gossipist Janet Charlton. Which should give the old icon pause when she meets the Luzes in Rio any minute now. But what gives us pause is not the age diff but that in this photo of sua matriz she looks like son Jesus in drag.

Daphne Suzannah Diana Joan Guinness – artist, muse, heiress to the Guinness family fortune, and collector of haute couture – turned 42 yesterday, and if I knew that 42 could look like THAT, well, things would have been slightly different, I'll tell you WHAT. Daphne is a supremely fabulous creature, the likes of which grow fewer and fewer with each passing decade. She's a total throwback to the old Daisy Fellowes, Millicent Rogers, Marella Agnelli school of dramatic glamour. Which is how it should be. After all: a Guinness is not a Hilton, my dear. Daphne truly lives every drag queen's dream. She's never met a bead or feather that didn't find it's way onto an outfit. Love her for that. Happy birthday, Daphne! Included among the 100 or so international artists, photographers, and sculptors displaying work are horror-meister Clive Barker (whose male nudes are NSFW), Suicide Girl Missy Suicide, wowlebrity Annie Sprinkle, and the Australian team known as Bad Behaviour, who are responsible for this pup-cultural ode to bad painting, entitled Dog Poker. If you long for the good old days of the World of Wonder Storefront Gallery, this might be right up your, um... alley. Fittingly, it's being held at the "no-tell" City Center Motel near LA's fashionable downtown entertainment hub. So, jot in your calendar that it's this Friday and Saturday, from 7 to 11PM.
