This is very alarming. On Feb 3rd 2010 Sen. John McCain introduced a bill, S.3002 called the “Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010″ (DSSA). If passed as written, this bill will give the FDA unbridled power to ban all supplements.

I guess demand has outstripped supply, and the manufacturers (at least, the ones making the real stuff here in the USA) are doubling the price to pharmacies, etc.

Don’t be surprised if you see the price that HCG weightloss clinics charge go up or other online suppliers charging more (quite a bit more).

I think this article provides great insight into how medical research is conducted and why studies claiming HCG does not work for weight loss are flawed.
