In this message, Isaiah testifies that when Yehovah’s judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness, but when grace is shown to the wicked, they will not learn righteousness. He speaks of the Rephaim, who shall not rise. We discuss who these Rephaim were and why they would not rise. Yehovah’s dead, on the other hand, shall rise and live. He urges His people to hide themselves for a short time while He punishes the wicked until His wrath is passed.

In this message, Isaiah 25 takes us forward to the kingdom eon on earth. He destroyed a great city, and the terrible nations fear him. He is a refuge to the poor and weak. He destroys the vail over the nations, and will wipe away all tears. His people speak, saying this is the God they have waited for. Yehovah rests on His mountain, but destroys the fortress of the enemy. Then, a beautiful record of the restored and converted Israel of the kingdom of God, the righteous nation that will enter God’s city. They waited for Yehovah’s judgments, and they will receive them.

In this message, we read of great troubles, and afterwards is revealed the time of the kingdom of God will come upon the earth. This passage is used to promote the idea of an earth denuded of its inhabitants, perhaps by nuclear war. Is this truly the picture we see in this chapter? It does speak of the land being emptied, but what does that mean? We discuss this prophecy and what it truly was related to.

In this message, following up on Yehovah’s rebuke of Shebna the scribe, He promises to raise up His servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, put him in Shebna’s place, give him the key of the house of David, and establish him like a nail in a sure place.Then, the burden or oracle of Tyre, the last of the ten oracles. Tyre will go into exile, and all who did business with her will lament. They will be forgotten seventy years, and then be reestablished in her trade. In this kingdom, their trade will be set apart to Yehovah.

In this message, we study the seventh burden or oracle, this one on Edom, called Dumah or Silence. The case of Edom is apparently still undecided. then, the eighth oracle, this time on Arabians. He warns them that punishment is about to fall on them within a year. Then the ninth oracle, this time about the Valley of Vision, which takes in all the land of Canaan, especially around Jerusalem. The walls of Jerusalem will be breached and Judah will be defenseless. They prepared themselves for a siege, but didn’t look to Yehovah for help as they should have done. Finally, he sends a message to Shebna the treasurer over the king’s house.He has hewn himself a sepulchre in Jerusalem, but Yehovah will toss him violently into a foreign land and he will die there.

In this message, in the end of Isaiah 19, Yehovah predicts a glorious future for Egypt in the kingdom of God, in which a highway runs between Egypt, Israel, and Assyria, and these three nations belongs specially to God. In Isaiah 20, Yahweh tells Isaiah to go “naked and barefoot” three years as a sign to Egypt and Ethiopia. In Isaiah 21, we have an oracle about the “desert of the sea,” apparently referring to Babylon. The oracle involves their eventual destruction.

In this message, we consider Isaiah 19 and the fifth oracle against Egypt. This nation has passed through many punishments. Hundreds of years after these predictions were given, the word of Yehovah came to pass. The final dealing with Egypt seems to take us forward to when God governs the earth. Besides the prophecies of calamity on Egypt, we have a strange word about an altar and a pillar to Yehovah in Egypt and five cities swearing allegiance to Him. We consider this interesting passage.

In this message, Isaiah 17 is the burden or oracle on Damascus, the capital city of Syria, that will be punished by becoming a ruinous heap. Then, Isaiah 18 is an intriguing prophecy about a great nation used by God in the kingdom to bring back His ancient people. When God gives His word to Israel to return to their land, there will be some mighty nation that will offer them help in getting them back.

In this message, we have the third burden or oracle about the nations around Israel, this one about Moab, one of the nations descended from Lot through his oldest daughter. Destruction will come on Moab, as Yehovah describes it, and within three years the nation will be all but wiped out.

In this message, the King of Babylon is brought down to Sheol, and many gaze at him in astonishment. The kings of the past are all laid in state, but he is cast out of his grave as abominable. Yehovah will rise against them and cut them off, and the Assyrian will be broken in His land. This may go beyond the nations of the past to the man of sin of the tribulation period. Then the chapter closes with an oracle against Philistia from the year King Ahaz died.
