Wednesday Snow/Slick Roads

Radars here should update automatically.  As the lake-effect snow event winds down, a band of synoptic (not caused by the lake) snow moves over the area today.  The evening run of the GFS model gives G.R. 0.40″ of precipitation.  At a 15:1 water to snow ratio…that would be 6″ of snow. A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect until 11 pm for these counties: Lake-Newaygo-Mecosta-Isabella-Montcalm-Gratiot-Kent-Ionia-Clinton-Eaton-Ingham-Mason-Oceana-Muskegon.  And also for these counties in the eastern part of the state:  Midland-Saginaw-Shiawassee-Genesee-Lapeer-Livingston-Oakland-Macomb-Washtenaw-Wayne.   This is for 5-8″ of snow.  There is a Winter Weather Advisory for these counties: Barry-Kalamazoo-Calhoun-Jackson-Ottawa-Allegan-Van Buren-Osceola and Clare Counties for 2-6″ of…
