President Donald Trump said he wants to take control of oil in Iran and suggested the possibility of seizing Kharg Island, a key Iranian oil export hub, amid the ongoing US military buildup in the Middle East.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Trump said he preferred to take control of Iranian oil, comparing the strategy to the US plan in Venezuela, where it aims to control the oil industry indefinitely following the capture of Nicolás Maduro.

Obama is by far the worst man to ever set foot in the Oval Office. The neoliberals like Hillary Clinton, Victoria Nuland, Samantha Power, etc. who ran his administration did so deliberately in order to keep the region destabilized and to use Iran as a buffer to prevent the Gulf states and Israel from amassing too much prosperity.

The Arab Spring in turn was their way of creating a refugee crisis that would plunge Europe into financial and social turmoil, the effects of which are plain to see today as they struggle with irreversible demographic change. Chaos is a ladder, and peace is bad for the Democrats. It was the their way of keeping the Middle East down so they could retain the unipolar world order under the neoliberal agenda. The neoliberals did the same with Ukraine, and they tried to do it with Kazakhstan, Belarus, Georgia, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. And they did so through USAID. Evil, evil stuff.

“To be honest with you, my favourite thing is to take the oil in Iran but some stupid people back in the US say: ‘why are you doing that?’ But they’re stupid people,” said Trump to the financial news site.

The comments come as the US-Israeli conflict with Iran escalated, causing oil prices to surge by more than 50 per cent in a month. Brent crude exceeded $116 a barrel on Monday morning in Asia, nearing its highest level since the conflict began.

Seizing Kharg Island, through which most of Iran’s oil is exported, would be a significant military operation. Trump indicated that the US has a range of options and acknowledged that holding the island would require a prolonged presence.

The US has deployed around 3,500 troops to the region recently, including 2,200 Marines, with additional forces en route. The Pentagon has ordered a total of 10,000 troops trained for land seizure and occupation to the Middle East.

Despite the threats, Trump noted that indirect talks between the US and Iran, facilitated by Pakistani intermediaries, are progressing. He set an April 6 deadline for Iran to accept a deal to end the conflict or face strikes on its energy sector.

Trump also claimed that Iran’s parliamentary speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, authorised the passage of additional Pakistan-flagged oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, which he described as a “present” to the White House. He further asserted that Iran’s leadership has changed due to recent strikes, though Tehran has denied these claims and maintained that its supreme leader is safe.

The IDF provided the transport to the virgins.

The IDF confirms targeting and eliminating Ali Shoeib, a Hezbollah terrorist masquerading as a journalist. Shoeib, in addition to being a member of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force, was a long-time correspondent for Al-Manar, a Hezbollah-owned and operated propaganda outlet.

Two other journalists working for the Hezbollah-aligned Al-Mayadeen television station were also killed. — World media predictably framed the development simply as Israel “killing journalists,” marking yet another double standard considering the deliberate targeting of ISIS media operatives by Western coalition forces.

Ali Shoeib, Al-Manar’s house correspondent, is without a doubt the journalist Abu Ali Express wrote many times about him over the years. Many times he noted that there is great value in eliminating Shoeib (the last time was just two weeks ago ) – in terms of his media influence and the psychological warfare he waged against Israel for Hezbollah, Shoeib was worth more than a thousand Hezbollah military operatives. In the attached photo, he is holding one of the cameras that were dismantled several years ago from an IDF outpost on the border with Lebanon. Many times he confronted IDF soldiers and officers at point-blank range. The world is definitely better off without him.

The NYT claims targeting a Hezbollah journalist was illegal. International law says otherwise.

The New York Times reported on Israel’s killing of Al-Manar correspondent Ali Shoeib in an airstrike near the southern Lebanese town of Jezzine. The strike also killed Fatima Ftouni and her brother Mohammed Ftouni, journalists for the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Mayadeen channel. The Times dutifully secured the standard quote:

 

Legal experts and human rights groups say that expressions of support for an armed group such as Hezbollah do not make someone a legitimate target under the laws of war, unless they actively participate in hostilities. 

“Just reporting on the advancement of Israeli troops or engaging in propaganda does not make someone a military target,” said Ramzi Kaiss, the Lebanon researcher at Human Rights Watch.

The laws of war say otherwise.

Many in Europe are growing weary of open borders and unbridled migration, and a number of right-wing parties have made gains in recent elections. However, the battle for control remains contested, and the left has also notched recent victories. In France’s municipal elections that ended last Sunday, centrist and left-leaning forces held Paris, Lyon, and Marseille, where the National Rally had hoped to make inroads. In Slovenia’s parliamentary election, liberal Prime Minister Robert Golob’s Freedom Movement edged out the right-wing Slovenian Democratic Party led by former Prime Minister Janez Janša.

Italian voters rejected Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s flagship judicial reform in a constitutional referendum. The reform would have separated judges and prosecutors into distinct career tracks,  a change Meloni’s party argued was crucial to reducing corruption and creating greater judicial independence. The loss weakens her ahead of the elections she must face by 2027.

The broader European picture nonetheless favors the right. Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party has been in power since 2022. France’s National Rally, led by Marine Le Pen, holds the largest share of seats in France’s parliament and advocates for strict immigration controls, French nationalism, and opposition to EU integration. Right-wing populists are now in government or supporting ruling coalitions in Belgium, Croatia, Finland, Hungary, the Netherlands, Slovakia, and Sweden. Poland’s Law and Justice party (PiS), which governed from 2015 to 2023, maintained close ties with conservative Catholic groups, sought to restrict abortion, and opposed special rights for LGBTQ people.

PiS lost power in 2023, and the current government under Donald Tusk is centrist and pro-EU, though Poland’s 2025–2030 migration strategy, introduced in 2024, is still framed around security, control, and selectivity, launched under the banner “Regain control. Ensure security.”

Slovakia, under Prime Minister Robert Fico, governs from a nationalist, socially conservative position aligned with Hungary’s Viktor Orbán; in 2025, the Slovak government amended its constitution to recognize only two genders and has resisted EU migrant relocation quotas.

“Another key example is Austria, where the Freedom Party, led by Herbert Kickl, secured 29.2% of the vote in September 2024 parliamentary elections, the first far-right election victory in Austria since World War II. Three centrist parties then formed a coalition government that excluded the FPÖ, following the longest government formation process in Austrian postwar history. Despite being blocked from power, the FPÖ now polls at around 36.4%, far ahead of the People’s Party at 20.8% and the Social Democrats at 18.1%.

Hungary under Viktor Orbán remains the most explicit example of a government fusing Christianity with a closed-border immigration policy. Orbán has declared that “Christianity is Europe’s last hope” and warned that Western European politicians “opened the way to the decline of Christian culture and the advance of Islam.” His government recognizes immigration as a threat to Hungary’s ethnic, cultural, and Christian identity, grants asylum to fewer than ten non-Europeans annually, has rewritten the constitution to define marriage exclusively as a union between a man and a woman, banned materials related to LGBTQ issues in schools, and built a razor-wire fence along Hungary’s southern border.

In June 2024, the European Court of Justice fined Hungary 200 million euros and imposed a daily penalty of one million euros for failing to implement EU asylum laws, describing Hungary’s conduct as “an unprecedented and exceptionally serious breach of EU law.” Hungary refused to pay, and the European Commission deducted the fine from Hungary’s EU budget allocation.

As of July 2025, €18 billion in cohesion and recovery funds remain withheld from Hungary.

Orbán’s response has been defiant. He posted publicly that the ECJ’s decision was “outrageous and unacceptable” and that “illegal migrants are more important to Brussels bureaucrats than their own European citizens.” He had previously promised in 2021 to “maintain the existing regime even if the European court ordered us to change it.” In 2023, Hungary recorded the lowest positive asylum decision ratio among all 27 EU countries, approving just 1.44% of claims.

In Germany’s most recent federal election, the center-right CDU/CSU won with 28.5% of the vote, while the anti-immigration AfD doubled its 2021 result to finish second at 20.8%, gaining 10.4 percentage points. The left-wing SPD collapsed to 16.4%, their worst federal result ever, the Greens secured 11.6%, and the FDP fell out of parliament entirely with just 4.3%. Voter turnout hit 82.5%, the highest since reunification. The AfD’s gains were strongest in the former East German states, where it won between 32.5% in Brandenburg and 38.5% in Thuringia. Despite finishing second nationally, the AfD remains locked out of government, as CDU leader Friedrich Merz and all mainstream parties have refused to govern with them.

Lorenzo Caccialupi, a right-leaning nationalist and outspoken Christian who became a popular content creator documenting migrant crime after appearing in a Charlie Kirk video, recently interviewed Alexander Sell, an AfD Member of the European Parliament from Germany. Sell called the result a historic shift. “This was a very important, historic day,” he said. “We have realized a right-wing majority with all of the right-wing parties from all over Europe and the Christian Democrats in the center, and this makes it possible to better return illegal migrants from Europe. That’s our mission.”

Sell added that the upcoming elections in Germany could further strengthen this movement, saying it was approaching 40 percent support. The two closed out the interview by pledging to “Make Italy Great Again” and “Make Germany great Again.”

Unfortunately, in Europe’s multi-party parliamentary systems, winning votes and holding power are two different things. The AfD finished second in Germany with 20.8% of the vote, but remains completely locked out of government because all mainstream parties have agreed never to form a coalition with it. The likely outcome is a CDU-SPD grand coalition that excludes the AfD entirely, meaning roughly one in five German voters elected a party with zero cabinet seats and zero ability to pass legislation.

EU Parliament Conference Hears Continent ‘On Track For Civil War’

‘Will There Be a Europe in 50 Years?’

Many government officials already perceive the horrific implications of Europe’s nation states losing their self-belief and descending into polar factionalism, with the continued existence of Europe or its constituent parts in question, but understand that speaking of it openly remains career suicide, a conference at the European Parliament has heard.

It is “a possibility that is quite close” that the British people will pass into history “like the Canaanites or the Arcadians”, and it is an open question whether there will be a Europe in 50 years’ time, a European Parliament conference heard from a panel of expert speakers.

Hosted by French populist-right firebrand Marion Maréchal — the granddaughter of National Front founder Jean-Marie Le Pen — and Sweden Democrats Member of the European Parliament Charlie Weimers, the Civil War: Europe at Risk? conference launched a new report on the now-widespread phenomenon of “no-go zones” and platformed thinkers on political instability. Marechal opened the conference by reflecting that formerly peaceful and stable societies are “rapidly transforming before our eyes into societies of violence and mistrust”, stating that “the main basis of trust between citizens is cultural homogeneity”, which is now fast eroding.

Europe is already under a great strain of “diffuse guerrilla activity”, she said, which takes various forms, including “riots, looting, random attacks, anti-white racism, and terrorist attacks”. These remarks were echoed by conference co-host Weimers, who noted the impact of mass migration on cultural cohesion. The Swedish populist-right politician reflected: “Western democracies that were once relatively homogenous societies have become deeply fragmented. Newcomers often share little in common with the indigenous population. More alarmingly, many have no intention of assimilating.”

Both politicians said they were driven to hold the conference by the hope of finding political answers to these problems and to prevent “the horror of civil war” from occurring at all.

Anglo-Canadian academic Professor David Betz of King’s College London, who has rapidly gained prominence in European security discourse over his whistle-blowing on the eroding of British and European democracy, society, and social cohesion, was blunt in his remarks, telling the European Parliament meeting that: “Europe is on track for civil war”.

Observing that while “it took a long time to break the foundations of Western self-belief, prosperity, and competency”, the job was now done and although a society like the United Kingdom is not quite at the point of total breakdown, nevertheless it is experiencing polar factionalism, which has led to outbursts of violence and leaves the country vulnerable to a sudden downward spiral towards chaos. Professor Betz said:

…we are on a track for a peasant revolt. A conservative uprising in which the ruled seek to punish their rulers for violating their obligations under the social contract, and for changing the rules of the game against their wishes. It will look something like Italy’s Years of Lead, the ‘dirty wars’ of Latin America, or maybe The Troubles of Northern Ireland, but on a larger scale.

What is already a guarded society will become a radically more heavily fortified society as elites seek more protection with more walls, guards, and surveillance. It will be bloody… the Balkanisation of British life along ethnic lines [is underway]. What I call assortative movement is already occurring, quite obviously in some places like Tower Hamlets in London, Sparkhill in Birmingham which are already ethnic enclaves, zones of negotiated policing with parallel legal systems, alternative economies, and… zones of endemic and large-scale out-group sexual predation… this ought to be more generally frightening.

In government there are plenty of people who understand fully the gravity of the situation, although it is, career-wise, terminal to speak of it openly.

Austrian political scientist Dr Ralph Schoellhammer, who also spoke on the panel, didn’t use the language of civil war but rather pointed to Europe’s history of bloody revolutions. Discouraging the ever-present habit in left-wing discourse and the media of comparing the present political situation to the 1930s, with persistent allusions to the rise of fascism, he instead pointed to parallels in the years leading up to the French Revolution, which he noted were characterised by failed harvests and rapid inflation

As observed by more than one participant of the conference, whether European peoples survive both migratory pressure in the first instance and the prognosticated civil war that is said to follow it in the second, to exist as distinct social, political, and ethnic groups at the end of this century, is an open question. Professor Betz, for instance, pointed to the peoples of once great empires in the classical world, whose civilisations and peoples simply vanished.

He said:

Where does Balkanisation lead us? … it leads to the extinguishment of Britain in the sense of a coherent cultural entity dominated by people genuinely sharing the titual identity of ‘British’… it leads to large scale and widespread civil war… it is very possible that the Britons end up like the Canaanites or the Arcadians, a people of historic interest, their monuments visible here and there in some sort of ruination, of interest to archaeologists and historians. This would be a tragedy, but that is a very viable option in front of us, and in fact it is a possibility that is quite close.

MEP Weimers asked, even more bluntly: “Where will Europe be in 50 years? Will there be a Europe in 50 years?”

Revisiting some of his previous public comments over the past year, Professor Betz — a recognised expert on the fortification of modern urban spaces against asymmetric warfare — also reflected on the specifics of how a future, theoretical “civil war” in the West would look. This, inevitably, would be defined by the apparent propensity of new migrant arrivals to gravitate to urban areas and create their own cultural enclaves, he said, which could make them vulnerable targets for would-be saboteurs.

He said:

…[this would be] the siege of urban areas but with a few 21st century twists. In many ways it will be reminiscent of the siege of Sarajevo, but much more dominated by paramilitary actors using system disruption tactics. Most importantly, infrastructure attack to degrade and destroy the life support systems of urban, non-native enclaves.

The political object is very simple, it is to compel non-natives to leave. The strategy is to create conditions of life in the cities so intolerable that leaving is preferable to staying… it’s not an implausible theory of victory because its central premise, the instability of the modern urban condition, at the best of times is something scholars of urban studies have been warning against for 50 years already.

… fuel systems are easy to attack, they are flammable if not explosive by definition, they are difficult to repair, and expensive to replace. In fact they are impossible to replace in civil war conditions where no insurance is available.

Moreover, disruption of fuel has very rapid knock-on effects of everything else logistically, most importantly the food distribution system which is the traditional weapon of siegecraft.

Breitbart London reported earlier this week on the new paper published during Maréchal and Weimers’ European Parliament conference on the accelerating issue of so-called no-go zones. The report used public data on factors like crime rates, sexual violence, youth gangs, unemployment, the proportion of school finishers, antisemitism, homophobia, the number of mosques, attacks on firefighters, and the presence of charities and NGOs to rate neighbourhoods across Europe on their level of integration in the common culture.

By these metrics, the report stated it had identified up to a thousand no-go zones.

“Cuba’s a failed nation. Cuba also wants to make a deal, and I think we will pretty soon, either make a deal or do whatever we have to do,” Trump said. “We’re talking to Cuba, but we’re going to do Iran before Cuba.”
