Download Microsoft Office 2008 Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Mac

Now Mac owners can download Service Pack 2 if they have Microsoft Office 2008 installed. This Service Pack fixes lot of bugs and improve stability and performance. From MS Word Mac to MS Excel one can see lot of improvement in the performance.

New Changes in Microsoft PowerPoint 2008: Microsoft Office SP2 also supports path animations and animated Gifs in MS PowerPoint slides. Apart from this you can replace the default theme with your own custom theme in the PowerPoint slide backgrounds. And now, PowerPoint will also embed the font inside it, so the fonts are now retained if you copy a slide from other presentation.

Changes in Microsoft Word: With increased performance and stability, SP2 also improves the compatibility with Word 2007. Among some minor changes section indicator is now included in the Word status bar.

Changes in Microsoft Excel 2008: There are bunch of improvements related to stability and performance along with couple of bug fixes which includes correct position of shapes on Chart. Now linked cell in an excel workbook also updates when the source cell in some other excel workbook updates. Also, Excel 2008 workbooks are displayed correctly by Excel Web Services.

How to safely clean LCD monitor or Television screen

Sometimes dirt can make your screen very smudgy with the stains or if you are in habit of touching your LCD screen with your fingers then it can also decrease the clarity.

Follow these simple steps to safely clean your LCD Television or computer monitor.

Make sure that you remove the power chord from the monitor. This will reduce the chances of getting shock.
Some people use alcohol to clean most of their house hold products. But be warned, never use alcohol to clean your LCD monitor. Just use plain water and mix it with little dose of vinegar and you’ll be ready for LCD screen cleaning solution.
Apply the solution prepared above to a soft cloth, preferably a cotton one. If you don’t have a separate cloth for cleaning purpose then just see if you can spare your old cotton T-shirt for the job.
Just make sure that you do not moist the cotton cloth so much that the solution starts dripping and enter inside your screen, which can also damage it.
Now start cleaning the LCD screen with the moist cloth in a circular motion which won’t leave any streaks as compared to zigzag or some random motion.
Also make sure that while cleaning the screen you should apply the same pressure all over and do not press it hard with your fingers.

Usually when the screen is switched on, you won’t see the dirt and stain marks to that extent but as soon as you switch it off, these marks are clearly visible. So once you clean your screen with the above mentioned method you’ll notice that the screen will become more vibrant when it is turned on.

These days new symbian phones are coming up with an inbuilt software to convert your mobile phone camera into a webcam for your Desktop or laptop. But for old phones there’s no other way of making their camera as a webcam.

WWIGO is a startup which has created apps for so many different mobile phones to utilize their inbuilt camera to be used as a webcam. And you don’t need any wire for doing that. You can pair up bluetooth connection with your laptop (or use Wi-Fi) and use your phone as a wireless camera.

The WWIGO webcam app also records videos using the PC interface. And you can use your cam with most of the popular IM clients like Skype, Yahoo Messenger, MSN and can do video conference with it.

The video quality will depend on the cam but otherwise if you have a decent mobile phone camera (1.2 mega pixel +) then it will give you a very pleasing results. You just need to have a bluetooth dongle to pair it with your Symbian phone and run the app.

The free version of the app has limited features and you can upgrade to the paid version if you like the app. The app will also work for Wifi enabled phones and can can establish connection using internet.

You must be aware of million dollar homepage website which was conceptualized in 2005 by Alex Tew who didn’t have enough money to pay for his university education. The page was 1000 x 1000 pixels arranged in a grid and anyone could buy pixels for 1$/pixel.

You can check the website as it is still there as an Internet phenomenon. The guy sold all 1 million pixel and earned 1 million dollar in less than 4 months.

Now after around 4 years David has come up with similar million pixel twitter page website of putting up your Twitter profile instead of your website link. Don’t know if it is the effect of recession or what, you can buy a pixel on the site for $0.1. So net amount worth of the website is 100,000 $ which is still not bad if he’s able to sell the full pixel space.

We won’t say that this is something as innovative as the million dollar homepage by Alex Tew but you never know when the whole thing goes viral.If your business is centered around marketing stuff using Twitter then it is really worth spending the bucks as early as possible to get your desired place on the page.

Just after visiting twice, we could see double twitter profiles. I think you should go for it!
