This Friday, Micro-Sprints (270cc and 600cc) and 4-Cylinder Enduro Cars continue their thrilling season on Bridgeport Speedway’s inner dirt oval. All gates unlock at 5:00 p.m. and racing starts at 7:00 p.m. Grandstand admission is $10 for Adults. Kids 12 and under are FREE. Admission to the pit area is $25 with a license and $30 without a license.

This Saturday, Scout Night invades into Bridgeport Speedway. The leader is admitted for free with at least 7 scouts in uniform. On the racing docket, Big Block Modifieds, Crate Sportsmen and Outlaw Stock Cars will be in action. Competitors can begin to enter the quarter mile pit area at 4:00 p.m. and grandstand gates open at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps begin at 6:30 p.m. with the first qualifying event set to start at 7:00 p.m. Grandstand admission is $20 for Adults, $18 for Seniors (65 and over) and $15 FOR STUDENTS (13-17). Scouts older than 12 will be admitted for $8. Kids 12 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $30 for Bridgeport members and $35 for non-members.

HOWARD, SNYDER AND DISSINGER LEAD CLOSE POINT BATTLES AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY, FOUR FEATURES SET FOR SATURDAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 17, 2012 . . . The chase for the championships could get even tighter than they are after the four feature program is completed at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night, May 19th.
There will be two 25-lap features for the Sportsman stock cars, a 20 lapper for the Late Models and a 30-lap main event for the NASCAR 358 Modifieds. Going into the night’s racing, starting at 7:30 p.m., Duane Howard has just a 154 point edge over Jeff Strunk who is going for a 10th track title. Doug Manmiller sits with 1530 points just 224 points behind. Keep in mind a feature race victory rewards the winner with 300 points.
And in the Late Models Danny Snyder has a one point edge over Chuck Schutz while Dave Dissinger leads the new Sportsman division standings by just 37 points over Brad Brightbill.
All the standings could be shuffled on Saturday night in the BPG Racing sponsored night of racing that also includes a full series of qualifying events leading up to feature races in all three divisions.
Adult admission for the four feature event show is just $15.00 while youngsters 12 and under are admitted free. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m.
The first 150 adult admissions will receive a free ticket to NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying sessions and ARCA 200 racing at Pocono Raceway on June 9th.
Then on Sunday (May 20) the first of several Sunday Small Car Series events will be presented with the green flag falling at 2 p.m. Included in the racing action will be Legends cars, Slingshots, 600 Modifieds and 270 and 600cc Micro Sprints. Adult admission is $5. Those showing rain checks from the Saturday night racing action will be admitted for just $4.

SPORTSMAN TWIN 25’S AND TQ MIDGETS HEADLINE SATURDAY (MAY 19) AT WALL STADIUM

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ The cars and stars of Wall Stadium’s highly competitive Sportsman division will enjoy top billing this Saturday night (May 19) as they compete in Twin 25 lap main events. Factory Stocks, Legend Cars, Street Stocks and the visiting open cockpit Three Quarter Midgets will also be on the card. The Modifieds have the night off. Grandstand seating opens at 4:00 p.m. and heat races start at 6:30 p.m.

Wall Stadium’s Sportsman division features an impressive roster of competitors ranging from tested veterans to young up and coming racing stars. Defending champion Kevin Eyres of Colts Neck, Robert Sutphin of Brick and Charlie Kremer III of Toms River represent the seasoned veterans expected to be in the field, while Eric Mauriello of Howell, Shawna Ingraham of Brick and Holmdel’s Andrew Krause are among the young lions expected to be in the field.

Like the Sportsman division, the roster for the invading TQ Midgets also offers many outstanding racers. Buddy Sloed, Jr. is expected lead a field which should include veterans Robin Johnston of Wayne, Pa., Frank Fischer of Flemington, Mike Tidaback of Little Falls and Ian Cumens of Lyndell, Pa., just to name a few.

In addition to the Sportsman Twin 25’s and a 25-lap main for the Midgets, The Factory Stocks, Legend Cars and the Street Stocks will also compete in 25-lap main events.

Pit gates will open at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday; with regular practice starting at 3:30 p.m. Grandstand seating will also open at 4:00 p.m. and the first qualifying event will take the green flag at 6:30 p.m.

Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on most Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months. Ryan Godown and Car Owner Rick Clay Hope For Another Winning Hand At Bridgeport Speedway May 27 Poker Series Event; Memorial Day Weekend Special Presents Plenty of Activities for Fans Plus First TSRS 305 Sprint Car Appearance of 2012

BRIDGEPORT, NJ - Ryan Godown hopes for another winning hand on Sunday, May 27 at Bridgeport Speedway.

Godown and the Rick Clay-fielded No. 88c team have set their sights on ‘Hand Two’ of the Poker Series at Bridgeport Speedway on Memorial Day weekend. The Colonial Pipeline-811 Awareness program at the South Jersey five-eighths-mile oval is headlined by a 40-lap, $4,000-to-win event for big-block Modifieds paying a complete Race of Champions purse: $1,000 for fifth, $500 for 10th and $300 to take the green flag.

Gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps planned for 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.

Off the track, there will be plenty of activities for fans enjoy. A driver autograph session is set for the grandstand area from 5-5:30 p.m., an opportunity for fans to meet the drivers who will be competing later that night.

WXTU 92.5 FM will be on hand with a “Ticket Stop” for the 28th anniversary show June 2 at Susquehanna Bank Center (Camden, N.J.) starring Miranda Lambert, Chris Young and Uncle Kracker. Seventy-five pairs of tickets will be raffled off that night. WXTU representatives will be on hand from 6-7 p.m.

Following the completion of racing, there will be music under the pavilion during a post-race party. Camping on the speedway grounds is encouraged.

Godown, of Ringoes, N.J., won the first Poker Series event contested at Bridgeport on March 31. After pitting for two fresh tires, Godown sliced through the field for a victory worth more than $4,000. He also took away an ‘Ace’ from the five-race series’ first hand and gave Lebanon, Pa., area car owner Clay his first big-block victory. The Teo-Pro car is maintained by former PA 358-Modified racer Tom Umbenhauer.

At each ‘Poker Series’ event, the winner receives an Ace (A), second a King (K), third a Queen (Q) and so on down to the 13th-place finisher receiving a Deuce (2). Following the completion of the five-race series, the driver with the best poker hand earns $2,500, second $1,500 and third $1,000. The driver with the worst hand receives $1,000. Drivers must participate in all five events to be eligible for a points fund.

Rick Laubach of Quakertown, Pa., and Ryan Watt of Boyertown, Pa., both Bridgeport weekly regulars, finished second (King) and third (Queen), respectively in the March race. Hillsborough, N.J.’s Mike Barone, who recently won his first Bridgeport main event, was 13th in the opener and earned a ‘Deuce’ in March.

A shorter 40-lap distance for ‘Hand Two’ with the solid purse structure should prove economical for teams. Joining the Modifieds on the program are TSRS 305 Sprint Cars (their first visit to Bridgeport this season), Crate Sportsman and Outlaw Stocks. There will be no racing at Bridgeport on Saturday, May 26 in advance of the ‘Poker Series’ event.

Grandstand admission is $25 for Adults and $23 for Seniors (65 and over) and Students (with ID). Kids 12 and under are admitted FREE. Pit admission is $30 for Bridgeport members and $35 for non-members. Rules for Modifieds are identical to the Race of Champions event run in March.

The remaining Modified ‘Poker Series’ dates are Wed., July 4, Mon., Sept. 3 and Sat., Nov. 10.

Custom ‘Poker Series’ apparel produced by Bob Hilbert Sportswear (Boyertown, Pa.) will be on sale. The apparel sold out on March 31 and a second order is being readied for Memorial Day weekend.

7TH ANNUAL JACK GUNN MEMORIAL OFFERS $3,500 TO WIN SATURDAY NIGHT MAY 12 AT SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY

The Rislone URC Sprint Series will once again be part of the 7th Annual Jack Gunn Memorial presented by MACH 1 Chassis at the Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday night, May 12.

The winner of the 30 lap Gunn Memorial feature event will collect $3,500 for the win, $1,000 for fifth, $500 for tenth with $225 offered just to take the green flag. Previous event winners include Blane Heimbach who won the inaugural event in 2006 and return to claim a repeat win in 2008. Dave Calaman won this event in 2007, URC’s Trevor Lewis was the Jack Gunn Memorial winner in 2009 and 2010 as Shane Stewart invaded to take the win in 2011.

History has proven that the Jack Gunn Memorial is one of the most competitive 360/358 Challenge events in the country, Saturday night, May 12 will be no different.

Time trials will open the show followed by a series of eight lap heat races and a “B” Main all leading up to the 30 lap event. Local favorites chasing the $3,500 top prize include Pat Cannon, Mark Smith, TJ Stutts, Larry Kelleher, Blane Heimbach, Scott Flammer and Eric Tomecek. URC’s roster will include current point leader Ryan Bohlke joined by Josh Weller, Ed Aikin, Davey Franek, Kramer Williamson, Robbie Stillwaggon, Joey Biasi, Chad Trout, Randy West, Art Liedl and Jonathan Swanson.

360 sprints will be required to compete on left and right rear American Racer Tires as the 358 sprints will be on the track Hoosier tire both left and right rear. The minimum weight is 1,475 for both 360 and 358 sprints and the weight is with the driver and after the race. 358 Sprints must comply with the weekly Selinsgrove car specifications as the 360 sprints will follow the URC car specifications.

This is the 7th annual running of the 360/358 sprints Jack Gunn Memorial, however, for the Selinsgrove Speedway, the original Jack Gunn Memorial started 32 years ago. Gunn was one of the most accomplished promoters in the country and at one time was the promoter of the Selinsgrove Speedway.

The Saturday night, May 12 Jack Gunn Memorial at the Selinsgrove Speedway will get underway at 7 PM with gates opening at 5 PM.

BPG RACING BEEFS UP 358 MODIFIED PAYOFF, $3,000 TO WIN, $255 TO TAKE THE GREEN WEDNESDAY NIGHT, MAY 23RD AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will swing into action on Wednesday night, May 23 at the Grandview Speedway with the 410 Sprint & 358 Modified double-header. The 410 sprints will compete in race one of the Keystone Cup Sprint Series. Time trials and qualifying events will lead up to the 35 lap $5,000 to win 410 sprint feature. For the 358 Modifieds, BPG Racing/Chad Sinon Motorsports has beefed up the payoff for their 25 lap feature. $3,000 will go to the winner along with $350 for tenth and $255 just to start the main event for the 358 Modifieds. BPG and Chad Sinon have long supported the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series and one again, he is giving back to the sport.

410 sprint drivers expected to be in the field include Fred Rahmer of Salfordsville, PA, Greg Hodnett, Chad Layton, Justin Henderson, Lance Dewease, Brian Montieth, Logan Schuchart, Mark Smith, Brent Marks, Daryn Pittman and defending event winner Brian Leppo.

The 358 Modifieds will complete in a series of qualifying events all leading up to the 25 lap $3,000 to win feature. This event will certainly be viewed by some out-siders as a test and tune for the September 15 BPG $50,000 to win Freedom 76. Regulars expected to be in the field include Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Craig Vondohren, Doug Manmiller, Kevin Hirthler, MeMe DeSantis and Brad Missimer.

Of special interest for the always important Thunder on the Hill race fans, Vertical Wave Telephone Systems will be returning to the hill and offering as many as twelve $25 gas cards in a variety of giveaway promotions at each Thunder Show. Jim Gallagher of Vertical Wave continues to be a good friend to all who take part in the wildly popular Thunder on the Hill Series. Adult admission tickets are $22, children 6-11 $5 and children 5 and under will be admitted for free. The pit fee is $30 and a license is not required.

Advance tickets for the May 23rd will be on sale at Grandview Speedway the two Saturday nights (May 12 and May 19) prior to the May 23rd NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Series Opener.

NAPA Auto Parts will return for their twentieth consecutive year as the lead Thunder on the Hill Racing Series Sponsor.
