True Live 2.5 – 8 Nice Themes for Google Chrome

Google’s browser, Chrome, is a compact, simple, yet extremely powerful creation from the guys at Cal, which was created for the new era of cloud compiting and internet apps, featuring the new and amazing V5 JavaScript engine. The one flaw for this world of eye candy? It’s simplicity, and lack of customization. But fear no more, True Live is here. The guys at chromeplugins.com made a simple but beautiful pack of 8 colorful themes for various versions of Chrome (from the 1.x to their latest beta). Now you can have both power and beauty, all running in your desktop.

Installation Instructions:

Download The File and extract the default.dll located in the folder of the color you want.

For Windows XP Navigate To :

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\VersionNumber\Themes\

For Windows Vista Navigate To :

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\VersionNumber\Themes\

Adobe, Eclipse, and ColdFusion

As many of you may already know, Adobe Dreamweaver is an Hybrid WYSIWYG X/HTML / CSS Editor and Client / Server Side Scripting IDE which has served millions and millions of Web Developers and Designers of all skill levels, from all over the world. Formerly Macromedia software, Dreamweaver is now one of Adobe’s killer apps, following the Famous Photoshop, Fireworks, etc.

As mentioned above, Dreamweaver has support for Server Side Scripting, for major languages such as ASP, PHP, and Adobe’s own language, ColdFusion. If you haven’t heard of it before, ColdFusion is a proprietary application server and software language used for Internet application development, owned by Adobe Systems. But for sometime in 2009, Adobe, along with Eclipse (The Open-Source IDE Foundation) has a new surprise for the web developing community, codenamed “Bolt”. Adobe Bolt will be the foundation of a RAD IDE for ColdFusion. It is not know if the code will be Open or Closed, since there are two major software developing companies involved, one with proprietary C++ code, and other with Open Source Java code, if there will be plugin support (Eclipse-Like IDE), or support for other languages. Is this a strategy from Adobe to try and take over the dynamic web languages world? Will it hurt Dreamweaver reputation and fame? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure, Adobe’s betting high on this move.
