Web designing has become easier, faster, and more profitable by the use of CSS. CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets, a language that is growing in popularity. As the name implies, this semi-new markup language allows the user to add more style to their web pages than HTML. Cascading Style Sheets can be used in conjunction with all the popular web design languages to develop the optimum in business websites.

More flexibility in web designing has attracted web entrepreneurs who enjoy the use of animation and video that retain potential customer’s attention. While multimedia would slow the loading of pages in HTML, the use of Cascading Style Sheets allows for smaller file size. The ability to streamline the document produces higher rankings with greater SEO. For online business, greater Search Engine Optimization can mean more customers and higher sales.

Web designing for business often uses CSS to style the site and create an atmosphere that is pleasing to potential shoppers in a way that basic HTML cannot achieve alone. Combining Cascading Style Sheets with HTML allows the designer to control every aspect of the documents that make up a web site, with the style sheets controlled from a linked document off site. This ease of use saves time and money, increasing the potential cost of maintaining such a site. With more time, web developers can be more creative in the design and achieve more of what the business website owner desires.

The most appealing aspect of a CSS based web site is the ability to reach potential customers over a wide range of media including but not limited to mobile cellular and streaming video. It is for this reason that Cascading Style Sheets will be around and be the preferred method of web site designing for years to come.

In summary, controlling file size, the feel and mood of a web site, ease of maintenance, wide range of multi media marketability, and search engine optimization properties, Cascading Style Sheets will become more and more the preferred method of web site designing and marketing for many years to come.

Having a good blog header helps to distinguish your blog from the millions of others available online today. A blog header helps to let your visitors know what your blog is about immediately upon arrival. The better your blog header the better first impression your guests get about your site.

When making your header be sure that it relates to your blog content. Many people choose to use photos in their blog headers and they may also incorporate witty taglines or other content into the image. It is also important to remember what you choose to use for photos if they contain family images. With people from all around world visiting your blog, you need to be careful especially if you’re thinking of using photos of your children. Many personal blogs also choose to use cartoon graphics. These cute graphics may create a more welcoming feel to your blog.

When looking for graphics make sure they are free for personal use or that you obtain permission to use the graphic or photo from the artist. There are many images available only for private use and listed for commercial sites. It’s also important to contact the artist alerting them that you will be using their photos in a template for your blog. Searching for free stock photo sites are a popular way to find images that have already been released for people to use.

Should you decide to design how your blog header you’ll need some kind of photo editing software. The software program GIMP is free and comparable to Photoshop. If you don’t have any graphic design experience then you need to be prepared to do some learning. These programs have many different features and will take time to master. Make sure you have the time to invest in this process before you begin. In the end the effort to learn this new skill will pay off by giving your blog header a clean and professional look.

Don’t worry if you don’t feel up to the challenge of learning graphic design. There are many designers that offer free headers for bloggers. A basic design that works as a background can be modified to include the title of your blog. Other personalization such as hanging a frame with a picture about your niche, or other small graphics can be made. These templates usually require a link back to the original designer, but it’s a small matter once you consider that you’re getting the benefit of their work for free.

Other blog heads may be a collage of various pictures. These can be cropped and resized to accommodate the feel and look of your blog. These images can also be laid out in your blog header to create a tile effect.

Using these tips you can give your blog a look that is different and unique from all the other blogs available. Just remember that you need to make sure the title of your blog is still visible and readable. It would be a shame to create a lovely header only to find out you forgot to put the title in.

Personalizing a template can be quick and easy with a free blog header. This custom look comes without a big budget, makes your site look more professional and allows you the opportunity to develop your creative skills.

CSS Templates are gaining popularity over Content Management Systems as the preferred method of internet web design and presence. CSS or Cascading Style Sheets and CMS or Content Management Systems are two options businesses have to manage their business web presence. For small business owners, the choice is easy as Content Management Systems are expensive to buy, set up, and maintain. Cascading Style Sheets are inexpensive by comparison and require very little maintenance. Medium and even larger business’ have to make informed decisions as to what is right for them. In comparing CSS to CMS systems, here are five of the most obvious reasons Cascading Style Sheets are the right choice for most business consumers.

Today’s consumers want it and they want it now. The one thing business cannot afford to be is slow. Customer’s will not wait for pages that either are very slow to load or do not load at all. Content Management Systems are driven by databases, when a customer instigates a search on their home computer, the server has to dig through thousands of bit of information on hundreds of pages to find it and load the correct page.

Static sites containing CSS don’t have this problem. They load quickly and easily without hindrances like tables to slow them down.

With very few exceptions, the CMS system has limited template designs and sometimes only one style to use throughout the site. If the company wanted to change the look of their online presence, a designer would have to come in and reload all new templates. Most companies will not undertake this time consuming and daunting task.

1) In CSS, anyone can go online, and within minutes, find, and download a template. Most of the time, the templates are free. They can be loaded in one page or all the pages, also within minutes and in many cases, this can be accomplished with a click or two of the mouse.

2) In a CMS dynamic web site environment, URL strings with numbers and symbols cause problems for search engines web bots. This can severely damage your standings in search engine rankings, as spiders cannot index the sites rank

3) An over abundance of parameters in dynamic Content Management Systems URLs can actually repel web crawlers. This is not the case when using CSS Templates.

4) The Difficult of use factor comes into play with the CMS system when you consider training costs and programming, fees for licensing, service and maintenance fees. Overall costs after all fees and implementation costs could potentially skyrocket when you consider that many systems do not have direct and dedicated support. These problems simply do not exist with Cascading Style Sheets on a static site.

5) Finally, remember the lack of dedicated support we spoke of? If you don’t back-up CMS systems on a regular basis you run the risk of losing your data. It only takes one missed back-up and an unforeseen problem to destroy all the data your company needs to survive. CSS Templates require no back-ups.

These five major points are just a few of the differences that swing the tide in favor of CSS over CMS. It is very important to know all your options before taking on the risks. CMS are the absolute best choice for large corporations who need the ease of site management and data that they provide.

What will your preference be? CSS or CMS? Share with us, I like to hear from you.

A blog benefits more than just the blogger. Blog advantages reach out to people who follow them and comment on the subjects offered. There are also people who check blogs for information, the same way you would check a dictionary for a word definition. They enjoy the personal touch the information they need contains in a blog. There are even folks who surf the free blogs in hopes of making friends and meeting someone, possibly romantically. There are as many different types of blogs as there are people.

Type any topic and add the word blog into any search engine and you will be pummeled with a virtual landslide of blog sites on the subject. People will blog about anything from Aardvark to Zyzzyva (tropical American weevil) and anything in between.

I personally blog for three important reasons: First, I love to share information about the things I am passionate about, like games and basketball. I also blog to promote products I have used and movies I have enjoyed or disliked. The main reason I blog is for money.

That is why having my own blog benefits me. In contrast to blogging on the free blogs that would not put a dime in my pocket. Sites like Blogger and Thoughts.com are great blog sites and a ton of fun to use but they are not profitable for the user. At least, not to the extent of your very own blog would be.

If you are thinking about starting your own blog, I suggest spending a few weeks or even months on the free sites to gain some foresight into how they operate and more importantly, how people interact on those sites. You would be surprised how much you can learn about people’s habits and actions just by interacting with them in a blog.

Another self-owned blog benefit that I really enjoy is making my own rules. Free sites enforce terms of service contracts that you agree to when you sign up. I can control these on my site in a manner that gives me more freedom to blog about the content of my choosing. That is not to say there is anything wrong with the terms of service on the free blogs sites. They are there to protect them and the people who use them.

One of the most valuable self-run blog advantages relates to what you must know or learn in order to operate. Unless you have money to burn, you teach yourself to be the author, webmaster, search engine pro, and overseer of the blog site, not to mention the numerous other technical works that goes into it. The most challenging of these were building the site and attracting participants.

I literally had to become a search engine professional, the intricacies of which I found changes at least a couple of times a year. It is an ongoing learning process, but there are many benefits to knowing how to hold your own when promoting a blog web site.

At the end of the day, starting my own blog site was fun and challenging and I would recommend it to anyone who is seriously considering it. Blog advantages such as the knowledge you will gain makes it a worthwhile endeavor that can be profitable, connect you with new people, and give you a feeling of accomplishment and pride. In addition, if you have other internet projects in the works, learning the ins and outs of Search Engine Optimization will benefit those as well.

I say, go for it. What do you have to lose? Nothing compared to what you have to gain.

Read on, and know what the secret is in converting landing page into a money-making page! Learn how to set it up in auto-pilot to make money even while you sleep!

The secret is the SQUEEZE PAGE!

The first step you is you to create your squeeze page. The squeeze page is the web page that allows people to download a free guides, eBooks, or grant access to information, in exchange for their name and email address. Its is a simple web page, where people enter their name and email address in exchange for the information or digital product they are interested at. It’s a simple page with no other links displayed except the one they’ll get after they’ve entered their name and valid email address. You’ve probably encountered a squeeze page and entered your email address, and after a few days, you’ll receive an email or two about a product that you may or may not need.

The next step is converting landing page into your sales page. With all the email addresses you have, you have now your own market where you can directly send brochures or information about your products. Your next step is to program an auto-responder that will work for you to send product brochures to your email list. Your subscribers are now turned into potential buyers. Run by probabilities and proven statistics, a good percentage of your subscribers may buy your product therefore you’re making passive money. With affiliate marketers offering products at discounted prices, this method convert leads to revenue faster and better than having an actual store.

When creating your squeeze page, don’t forget to put some courtesy on your message to keep it professional. After people have entered their name and email address, you can put a “thank you” note, along with the landing page message “Please go to your email to confirm subscription and activate your access code to your free guide. This way you can verify the email they’ve entered is valid and working. Another trick marketers pull off nowadays is by converting landing page into a sales page. This way, you increase your product exposure instantly and may convert your traffic 3-5% more!

In summary, just by setting up a squeeze page that offers free digital products like e-books or guides, an auto-responder to send product information you’re selling, you can earn money passively with your landing page even while you sleep! You only work once or devote minimal time to run and update it, and you’ll be reaping bucks for days or years to come.

Affiliate marketing is one the most lucrative ventures in the internet, however in its popularity, several scams have emerged. Making money through affiliate scams has now become a lucrative career to several internet users, most of them using good education into duping others, making them think they’ve struck the pot of gold. Without proper investigation and understanding about affiliate marketing, more internet users who look for money-making ventures in the net, continue to become victims of this scams everyday.

Though it is impossible to present a comprehensive list of fake affiliate programs that exist now in the internet, we can always be careful and do your homework before agreeing to any deals. Here are a few affiliate marketing tips to help you choose which affiliate program is genuine, and which ones are fake.

First, do an extensive research on the affiliate program being offered to you. Find out what others are saying about it, get positive and negative feedbacks. Do not limit yourself with information in the affiliate merchant network, because most scammers can write or pay for fake but very convincing positive testimonials. You can search about the program in various forums, and in other independent websites who review marketing programs. Also, ask questions to anything that comes in your mind about the program.

If the affiliate program has no evident track record, be wary for it is a scam. A genuine affiliate program will always provide its history, accreditation and its proven track record. Read through and browse their affiliate sites for supporting information they claim on their accreditation.

Affiliate marketing with incomplete or no support line is a definite scam. Also, programs who offer toll-free telephone numbers and responds in an email a few days after, are indications of a con operation. Also, be careful of affiliate marketing programs offered via email and doesn’t have any company websites. Without any valid references, these offers cannot guarantee easy accessibility, and traceability of the program creator in case of any problems.

Affiliates that provided insufficient information or description about their products and services are questionable. Genuine affiliates program provides detailed lists and descriptions of products they promote. Remember, these products must be sold for you to earn along with the company. Without any sales, the affiliate program will only have members but no revenue to share. Pyramid schemes also work this way, tricking people about how much you can earn by having several members under your pyramid, but rarely emphasizes that the money you earn will depend on the sales of your members.

Another sign of a fraud is when a merchant offers a free site for you to design and market from. These sites are still paid by the merchant and are not truly yours. Therefore, you may not be able to access information on who visited the site or on how many sales have been made.

Be cautious of these too good to-be-true offers and avoid affiliate marketing scams.

HTML makes it possible for people from all over the world to access the documents created on the website. You can create almost anything on the internet by use of this technology. The text is then linked to each other by use of hyperlinks and is accessible to millions and millions of internet users. HTML tutorials are available online but if you don’t want to use those, you can use an editor like Microsoft FrontPage or Macromedia Fireworks. These are sold online or locally. You can also download complete tutorials to your computer. With the downloadable version as soon as the tutorials is loaded to your PC you can access it and get started on creating your first website.

Setting up a HTML website is a move in the direction for someone looking to start doing online business. The information you will have on your website will only be clicks away from the people you aim to connect with. An important factor to note before designing the website is the purpose it is intended for whether it’s a platform from which to sell products online or an interactive website for social networking. You only have 7 seconds to make an impact to the internet user and you need to make it count. Everyone seems to be running out of time with so many things to do in a short span of time. You can help the users save their precious time by having a clear website layout.

The internet can be quite intimidating but only if you let it. The terminology used in programming is actually a lot easier than it sounds so don’t let the big words cause you to back down. What do you have to lose, right? Embrace change and keep an open mind in order to learn as much as possible. Remember the internet is the information superhighway and with the vast range information provided about anything under the sun, you can determine how much or how little you want to learn from it. It’s all there waiting for you tap into it.

When you are designing your HTML website, it helps to look at it from another person’s perspective. Assume you are the one visiting the site and look at it critically. If it is appealing to you, you might want to seek an unbiased opinion from another person. Ask them to make a list of the things that are unfriendly and use that to polish up on your web page. Remember it your web page but the only way you benefit from it is if it appeals to other people too. And to be on the safe side seek the opinion of a few more people but make sure they are part of the audience you are targeting. If for instance you want an HTML website that will appeal to teens, it’s probably not best to seek your mum’s opinion. Keep your audience in mind as you are creating the web page for them to use.

Having a HTML website is almost a mandatory requirement in this time and age. And you are several clicks away from having your own. If you want to use a easy to use, SEO friendly website creator, and lazy to learn HTML codes, you should seriously consider XsitePro 2.

Imagine your readers wanting to read what you are recommending or bringing them to related content, but were not there anymore? What would your readers feel?

I am not sure what you will feel, for me I felt that this website do not know what its doing and not maintaining it properly. Is this what you felt too? This is very true for search engines like Google (especially!!!).

Why Search Engines Dislike Broken Links, Especially Google.

Google is all about relevance, giving the searchers a good user experience is one of Google’s focus. So if there are a lot of broken links in your website, Google will actually rank you lower than previous, until you do a cleanup or link to another related web page.

Google’s foundation is all about giving the internet users a good experience. If you are not able to do, your site will risk being rank down instead of up.

Broken Links: How to undo them?

There are two ways to go about, one is to manually check all your web pages and click all the links. I must say that this will be madness if you have over 50 pages and growing overtime. I would suggest to do this if you have less than 30 web pages, its easier and better for you.

The second way is to use a software or third party to do that for you. This third party link checker is best to go checking the links at least once a week. For me, I used LinkTiger to check all my broken links. Best of all it checks daily rather than weekly, and its free!

Keeping a constant check on your website for broken links is essential to rank better in the search engines. You would not want to risk losing some of the rankings while doing your best to provide new content. Remember its all about the Internet user’s experiences, not you or your website.

She was sharing on how it got her blog went from 1,082,076 to 173,556 in Alexa ranking in 2 months and 1 day, which is quite great if that is your goal.

The post was giving tips in Alexa ranking, and I find it very good to read and informative. But one though got to me while I was reading it. Is Alexa ranking or important than SEO?

This is quite hard to tell which is more important……

Why I said what I said

I find that Alexa and SEO have something related to each other, that is why so many so the Internet marketers uses both of them to brand or boost about themselves. This is okay, I sometimes do that too. But the real question comes if your high ranking Alexa number brings you a lot of traffic to your website?

From what I see in the blog post, Alexa ranking is mostly about creating new unique content, getting authoritative links back to your website, and to create content often. This is very close to SEO ideas, and basically are basic SEO too.

In order to have the both Alexa and SEO ranking, I would suggest to do a very good on page optimization on every page on your website when you have new content. Here keyword research is key to building SEO content. It is important to find out the related keywords that

Then use the tips given by Kelly, to write unique content, guest post and link back to your website or blog, and lastly to write more content often.
