I have a site which is related to pest control. It has a good traffic. But keywords rankings are decreased recently. Can you pls give me a suggestion to promote my website

I just built a new website and was trying to post it in my Facebook page. It will not let me post the link.

I gave it a couple days for it to complete the migration and tried again and no luck. I can post anything without links. I also can paste the site link in my personal account, but not my fan page.

Weird. any thoughts?

I thought this was an interesting read. Hopefully, they'll get tougher with sites that bombard users with 'mallies'. Say what you want about cookies, frankly, I'd ban all except session cookies...

I was researching on Google, and came across something called a rich snippet. I tried reading about them but got a very technical answer I can't seem understand. I was hoping someone could give a not to technical answer to what they are.

And are there any SEO benefits to using a rich snippet?

Sorry if this is common knowledge. I am just begging my adventure on the internet. :smug:

I have not been on WB in a looooooong time! It’s good to be back. I’m here today to ask for your support. I currently own 2 websites. I’ve had my baby shower website since 2007. The site was doing very well but was hit by Panda 2.5, and hit extremely hard by Penguin. I haven’t done anything with this site in over a year. I just don’t have the time to work on it. I’ve been doing okay with adsense and chitika from January 2012 – April. This month is not looking good at all. So, I recently posted the site for sale on the SBI! Forums. I got a few prospects, but my fiancé insists that I should keep the site and try to get it back to where it used to be. Despite being hit hard by penguin, I am still making a very small profit. He thinks as long as I am not losing money, I should keep it.

So, after giving it some thought, I think I should at least TRY to bounce back before just throwing in the towel. This is where I need your help. I just need some encouragement!! I’ve gotten too used to being able to make money off of my site without having to lift a finger. And now that I realize that keeping my revenue up (or should I say, getting it back) will require a lot more work, I just don’t feel like doing it. But I know it can be done.

To get started, I have decided to give myself a short term goal – to devote at least 30 minutes to my site every day, for the next 7 days. It may sound small, but these days, that would be a nice sized accomplishment for me. I would appreciate any words or stories of encouragement you have to offer. And, if anyone else is in the same boat as me, and is in need of a good push, I urge you to share your story too.

Hi everyone, I'm new here. My name is Jason and I'm a webmaster. Hope to learn many things and share what I know here. :)

I don't know if this is the right place to post this or if I worded that right. Here goes. So the #1 competition for my main keyword as well as a few of my other keywords has a website and also a blog. I didn't notice the blog until a few weeks back. She also has a facebook page as well. I realized weeks ago she is probably pretty savvy... That being said her site and one other site are the only real strong competition in the niche I chose.

I can already see by going through her site that my content after some time will be way thicker and much more informative. I am actually surprised her site is at tops in some ways other than it looks nice and she has a big following of people who have posted there. Obviously she knows what she is doing so I realize there is more going on behind the scenes than meets the eye.

What I am wondering is do any of you also have a blog that aids your static website? I have read about this as an seo tactic, but is this is a good idea? Would this take more time than it is worth? Is this considered a white hat seo move or a black hat? I do not want to engage in black hat seo and that is part of what I am curious about.

There doesn't seem anything underhanded to me about the way she has done this. It just appears as if she is really into the subject. Like I am actually. Yet I can see the connection between the separate sites and facebook she has set up. I can see I have my work cut out for me there, but the rest of the sites are not nearly as competitive and I feel the content I am bringing to the table will be more than all of them combined in my particular niche.

Hi I'm Lee and looking forward to hopefully doing things properly, I'm almost new to this, I have tried to build a site before with just ad's etc, Oh my epic failness from the word go but that's my fault for not doing things properly, being impatient and expecting too much to soon, I know I'm on the right lines with this site, With me still being fairly new does anyone reckon I'd be on the right lines of using the likes of Site Build IT to build a site the affiliate Site Build It and many other similar products? I certainly need to get off on the right foot this time even if it takes years.

What would you say is the best method to identify high CPC keywords? Google Adwords? Another method?

Hi Everyone,

This is the first time I will be setting up adsense ads in a site done with code. My pages are varying sizes. On the home page and a few other pages I want to put 3 - 160 x 600 vertical ads in the right side column.

Question: Do I need to get 3 seperate ad codes from Google or can I copy and paste the original ad two more times, one under the other? I am wondering if this would make for duplicate ads.

Also on the new interface I saw the 3 popular sizes Google recommends, but can I get other sizes. Some of my pages will use maybe 2 smaller block ads.

Since we do this in the editor, can I view the ads right away to check the look and fit? Will the ads show in the editor without the files being on the server, as I have not launched it yet. Or do I have to launch the site, check the ads and then see what they look like?

I used adsense on one WordPress site 3 years ago, but using all code from scratch presents other challenges.
