This is our 10th year having Minnesota Teen Challenge bless Waterbrooke Fellowship. It was a wonderful experience of fellowship and song with our brothers in Christ from Teen Challenge.

LAUNDRY/DISH WASHING COLLECTION DATE

We are extremely low on Laundry Detergent!

You can always bring in your donation! Most common items needed are Dish Soap, Dishwasher Detergent and Laundry Detergent. Reminders: Small size containers are all we need (check out the dollar store) and Love INC has provided tax deductible donation sheets. If you want to give cash for this ministry...just mark your check Laundry Ministry.

VOLKFEST

Waterbrooke needs your help in manning the inflatable tent for children at the Victoria VOLKFEST, Saturday, August 29th from 10am until 4 pm, 2 hour shifts. Contact Pastor Maureen if you can help with this. This is a great opportunity to talk with parents as kids enjoy themselves in the jumping tent. We will also have an info table.

BAPTISM SERVICE

At Waterbrooke Fellowship the believer's baptism is celebrated as one of the most significant moments in the life of a Christian. We will begin a new year of ministry with our kick-off Sunday and baptism service September 13th. If you have questions or desire to follow Jesus' example of baptism, talk with either Pastor Bill or Maureen. A brochure is available in the info rack at the rear of the church.

HALLOWEEN ALTERNATIVE

We are hoping to have a Halloween alternative this year at Waterbrooke, and open it to the community. Please pray for:

· This to be a powerful outreach to the community

· People within Waterbrooke to help plan and run this event

· The Lord's guidance in planning games and activities

WOMEN OF WATERBROOKE

HEARTS SET FREE - ladies this year we are going to Trout Lake Camp to meet God in a new way, to be refreshed, and renewed by God. Plan to attend with us Sept 18-20. Put this on your calendar now.

WATERBROOKE MEN’S MINISTRY

We will begin meeting again this fall at our regular Saturday morning (7:30 am) time. The first Saturday will be September 12th in the lower level café. Coffee and donuts are standard fare as well as a chance to talk a little with each other and discuss what God is doing in our lives. First meeting we will talk about what direction(s) to take in the coming months. If you haven’t joined us recently or ever, why not give it a try. I know it’s early but it always proves to be “good stuff”.

NEEDED: Prayer warriors for our children.

The greatest influence we can have for our children is through prayer. As we stand in the gap for them, the Sovereign Lord of heaven and earth hears and answers our prayers. Would you be willing to make a commitment to pray for one of our children for one year? We will give you everything you need to get started. Prayer Room

If you are interested in being in the prayer room, please contact Andy or Kristin Keppel. kkeppel@ctrlpod.com or 952.657.2510. We are asking for a commitment of 1 time, every other month. We currently have 8 people who have been doing it, so the room is only manned every other week. This is an amazing time of prayer!

Several years ago, some of the women at Waterbrooke started a quilt with the idea that it could be used as a fund raiser for the church. Many hands have worked on it over the years, and it is now completed! The quilt will be available at church for you to see. The raffle box will be out near the quilt. Simply put $3 in an envelope with your name and address for a chance to win this one of a kind quilt!

Download the registration forms and send them in before July 15th for the $5 discount. Make sure to write Waterbrooke Fellowship on the registration so we are all together.

PARKING LOT UPDATE! GREAT NEWS!

We now have $4,400 in the parking lot fund! That means we're 20% of the way to $20,000!

And now for the GREAT NEWS! Pastor Bill Bonner met with the City of Victoria to explain how hard we're working to raise the money for this project. Bill proposed that we do some of the initial work but delay the actual paving. The City Council very graciously granted us a 2 year delay to complete the project, providing we do the following this fall:

· install lights in the parking lot

· will connect the farmhouse septic to the main sewer system and therefore eliminate the "holding tank"

· replace the sunken sidewalk to the church and connect that sidewalk to the farmhouse sidewalk.
