These were culled from my Twitter account, which I used as king of a scrap-book for dumb joke ideas that come to me. Hence the cheesy standup comedian background. Happy Friday!

I’ve said several times that one of my favorite parts of the comic as a whole is the titles. I feel like it’s often an aside, a place for an additional joke that’s just a little meta. A little outside of the environment of the panels itself. It’s kind of my wink to you guys, or to myself, about the situation in the comic. It’s kind of like what a clever comment would be in a reddit thread. Like the previous comic with the twitter and texting guy. A good comment on an internet thread would be “huh, looks like social justice to me…”

Yeah.

Anyway, I also like the colors that I sometimes choose. I mean, I always choose the colors, but sometimes they’re particularly meaningful. Today, if you’ll notice, the shirt color of the “artist” matches the sky, whereas the shirt color of the “normal” doesn’t match anything. This is my subtle way of saying that while people who are often considered highly creative may have some frustration in certain “standard” social situations…they often are very connected to their environment, or the environment at large. The “normal” people may match other “normal” people – but they can exist in a state of obliviousness.

A bit high minded for a joke about the spectrum and artists, but…”wherever you go, there you are.”

Yeah it’s just tweets and whatnot. No need to get all high and mighty about it. I’m looking at you, all marketing for the last four years.

Sometimes you just have to do stupid one-liners, you know?

I find that I’m often more productive towards the end of the week. It’s hard for me to get a comic out on a Monday or Tuesday lately. But I may be able to bang one out on both Wednesday and Thursday. If you can even consider this a whole “one.” Weird. I think I just get more into the rhythm of the work week. Something.

I see that he is very good at doing things. Let’s acknowledge that in perpetuity. Now he can relax.

There comes a time in the life of every person when they do something really stupid. Like genuinely dumb. That time is usually 6:17PM every day. But it may vary by a factor of twelve or so hours earlier or later.
