On April 25, 2026, the White House published the statement President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to Welcome His Majesty King Charles the III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Her Majesty Queen Camilla for a State Visit outlining the schedule for the King's visit. The King and his retinue arrived April 27 and depart April 30.

Upcoming events for their visit include:

Monday, April 27 - The King and his retinue arrive, being greeted at the South Portico of the White House (see video above). The couples will retire to the Green Room for tea. After tea, there will be a tour to include the newest White House Beehive. Then the couples will retire to their abodes.

Tuesday, April 28 - There will be a State Arrival Ceremony (a White House tradition dating back to the 18th Century). It will be a traditional military arrival ceremony with Military Honors rendered by the US Army Herald Trumps. The "President's Own" US Marine Corps Band will play the National anthems of both countries. The Presidential Salute Battery will render a 21-gun cannot salute. Then, the President and the King will commence an Inspection of the Troops and a Troop in Review, facilitated by the US Army Fife and Drum Corps. President Trump will deliver remarks on the South Lawn. After the remarks, the couples will proceed to the Blue Room Balcony where almost 500 US Service Members from all 6 military branches will Pass in Review. This will be a historic first for State Visits. The King will sign the White House guest book and participate in a gift exchange in the Blue Room. The couples will then move to the Cross Hall of the State Floor where they will participate in a receiving line with delegations from both countries. The couples will then travel to the Oval Office where the President and King will hold a bilateral meeting. FLOTUS and the King's 2nd wife will then depart to join American students at the White House Tennis Pavilion for a cross-cultural educational event as part of the First Lady's BE BEST Program's Fostering the Future Together initiative. The US students will include state champions of the Presidential AI Challenge. Participants will use AI-enabled glasses to learn about British and American history. Tuesday evening, the King and his retinue will arrive for a State Dinner being held in the East room. The Office of the First Lady will provide additional details prior to the event.
Wednesday, April 29, events have not yet been announced.
Thursday Morning, April 30, farewells will be held in the Diplomatic Reception Room after which the King and his retinue will depart for their travel back to England.

On April 27, 2026, in a post on X, our First Lady responded to a hateful and violent rhetoric filled late-night-show monologue announcing that her family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America. She calls for ABC to take a stand to prevent hate spreading into our homes through their TV station. She asks: How many times will ABC’s leadership enable this atrocious behavior by late-night-show-hosts at the expense of our community?

This joint resolution nullifies Public Land Order 7917, which withdrew approximately 225,504 acres of National Forest System lands in Cook, Lake, and Saint Louis Counties, Minnesota, from mineral and geothermal leasing for 20 years. In 2023, the Bureau of Land Management issued the order to protect and preserve the Rainy River Watershed, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness Mining Protection Area, and the 1854 Ceded Territory of the Lake Superior Chippewa from the potential adverse effects of mineral and geothermal exploration and development. On April 26, 1777, British troops burned the town of Danbury, Connecticut. General William Tryon commanded his 2,000 British troops to destroy everything in the town: homes, farmhouses, storehouses, and tents. Danbury was established as a depot for the Continental Army by the Second Continental Congress in 1776. By 1777, Danbury was a major supply depot for the Continental Army.

The British did not have the wagons needed to remove the supplies meant for the Continental Army, so the General ordered everything destroyed. Well, except for the homes of their loyalists, that is. The attack lasted almost one week before the Continental Army leaders were informed. Luckily, most of the townspeople had left Danbury for New Milford before the British arrived.

On April 26, 1777, as the British arrived at Danbury, Sybil Ludington (discussed in my April 25, 2026 ANP Article) made her 40-mile, round trip, one day ride to alert the militia in nearby towns.

Almost a week later, Generals Benedict Arnold, David Wooster, and Gold Selleck Silliman led a contingent of more than 500 Continental troops (and 200 volunteers) in a surprise attack on the British who were starting to withdraw from Danbury (having destroyed it most effectively). While they could not stop the British retreat back to their ships on Compo Beach, they did manage to harass them.

In total, of the 700 troops in the Continental army, 20 were killed and 80 were wounded. Of the 2,000 British troops, 154 were killed or wounded and 40 missing or captured.

It is said that when the Continental troops saw what the British had done to Danbury, their resolve to beat the British hardened. While the British were successful in destroying Danbury, their actions galvanized Patriot support in Connecticut. The British decided to focus on raiding the coastal communities instead of heading inland to fact the now resolved and galvanized Patriots. For the first 2 years of the Revolutionary War, Connecticut had remained unscathed. Then, General Tryon marched his troops to the town of Danbury and razed it to the ground.

The skirmish in Danbury was part of the series of American Revolutionary War skirmishes collectively known as the Battle of Ridgefield.

Perhaps I’m being too optimistic, but I think fewer people are buying into the hardcore cult propaganda that Marxist-globalists rain down on the world every day.

I see a few more rolled eyes around me when someone blames a thunderstorm on “climate change.” The last few stragglers of committed COVID-hyperventilators have taken off their paper masks when out in public (and have pleasantly discovered that abnormally rapid breathing disappears once dirty rags are removed from one’s face). I’ve heard more “trans”-enablers stating clearly that biological boys should not be in girls’ locker rooms or competing in their sports. More celebrities and academics (many of whom have proudly identified as atheists in the recent past) have begun to read the Bible and openly discuss the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Is the world healing? Has the ideological pendulum begun to swing back toward sanity? Have the Marxist-globalists dosed the world with so much propaganda over the years that the effectiveness of their lies is starting to fade? Does that mean the last century of Marxist-globalist sociological conditioning is beginning to wear off?

I think the lies that Marxist-globalists regularly tell have become too preposterous for the average person to swallow anymore.

Last week, the apocalypse-whisperer Al Gore was at a Hollywood “climate change” event honoring how wonderfully stupid all his celebrity friends are. Joined by The West Wing alum Bradley Whitford, both men discussed the likelihood that Earth will descend into another ice age in ten to twenty-five years. They referenced Roland Emmerich’s 2004 wintry disaster movie, The Day After Tomorrow, in describing what we should expect. Prepare for snowdrifts!

Listening to this kind of doomsaying-lunacy-bordering-on-sexual-fetish, the average person says to himself, “I thought you told us that ‘global warming’ was going to incinerate us? Now you’re predicting snow?” Gore’s wildly inaccurate, scaremongering, anti-science, fever dream, An Inconvenient Truth, predicted that the Arctic Ocean’s summer ice would be gone by 2013 (wrong!) and that Mt. Kilimanjaro would have no snow by 2015 (also wrong!). The snake oil salesman who became filthy rich by selling disaster porn to the world promised that rising temperatures would soon (as in at least a decade ago!) leave Manhattan and Miami under twenty feet of water. Now, in 2026, apparently “global warming” is so last decade’s fashion, and we’re back to “global cooling” again! We already did “global cooling” during the 1970s! Does that mean bell-bottoms, disco, “blaxploitation” films, and kung fu will be making comebacks, too?

A century of the “little boy who cried wolf” telling us that using hydrocarbon fuels (or what the oh-so-educated “elites” among us call “fossil fuels” in order to pretend that everything runs on dinosaurs) would cause the planet to freeze…or perhaps burn…or maybe change our climate (Duh, the climate is always naturally changing, you idiots!)…or produce a tornado somewhere in the Midwest…has forced a lot of people to ask, “Why should we trust ‘The Science’ when ‘The Science’ sounds a lot like propaganda?” When Marxist-globalists doubled down by turning a fifteen-year-old Swedish girl, Greta Thunberg, into the world’s leading authority on “climate science,” people capable of thinking beyond the limits of government programming finally had enough.

Then some people wondered: If man-made “global warming” is just a government scam meant to justify new taxes and more burdensome impositions upon personal freedom, what other lies might Marxist-globalists tell? Ding-ding-ding, welcome to COVID! Let’s be honest: A lot of people who had figured out the “Global Warming/Cooling/Climate Change/Extreme Weather” Hoax should not have fallen for the COVID Hoax. Come on, guys; the Marxist-globalists ran the exact same apocalyptic playbook but turbocharged the pace: We regret to inform you that you will not die from “global warming” because you will all die from COVID…unless you do exactly what we say!

I know, I know…it’s really difficult to accept that “authority” figures really do lie to us all the time. I mean, what kind of people would shamelessly bankrupt small businesses while generating record profits for Amazon and Walmart? How luciferian must our degenerate “ruling class” be if it is willing to arrest Christians for attending church, while encouraging race hucksters to burn down cities in the name of “justice”? How psychopathic must our “leaders” be to bar people from comforting dying loved ones in hospitals or attending their funerals? Unfortunately for us, Marxist-globalists represent the apex class of shameless, luciferian, degenerate, psychopaths.

The one-two punch of the “Global Warming” Hoax and the COVID Hoax seemed to have opened up many eyes in the West. People who aren’t normally inclined to question government authority looked around and wondered, “Could these liars also be lying to us when they say that men have babies and women have penises?” “Is it possible that taxpayer-funded NGOs launder money into politicians’ pockets?” “Would the Southern Poverty Law Center really fund the Ku Klux Klan in order to cook up enough fake racism to stay relevant?” You say enough of these things out loud, and you realize that the whole construct of Marxist-globalism consists of lies, fraud, new forms of control, and new taxes.

People are now waking up to a rather startling set of propositions: Marxist-globalist governments lie to them regularly. Those lies cause harm to citizens. When citizens complain, Marxist-globalist governments tell more lies and try to redirect blame (It’s Trump’s fault; It’s Putin’s fault; It’s that blasted ‘global warming’!). When citizens see through those lies, too, Marxist-globalist governments turn to the same blunt instrument that all totalitarian governments choose: censorship.

It is no coincidence that the United Kingdom (through the Online Safety Act) and the European Union (through the Digital Services Act) are building digital censorship infrastructure meant to keep citizens from talking about certain “taboo” topics (such as mass illegal immigration and the Islamic conquest of their nations) and prevent public debate about anything Marxist-globalist governments do. Canada (through the Online News Act) has made it similarly difficult for citizens to read any information that is contrary to official government propaganda. Under the guise of “protecting the children,” Australia has implemented age-verification requirements for social media platforms. From its Harmful Digital Communications Act of 2015 to its more recent Safer Online Services project intended to regulate all online content, New Zealand is leading the charge among Western nations (at peace) in implementing total government control over (and censorship of) online speech. Among Western nations at war, Ukraine permits no online dissent to the edicts of its martial-law government. Strangely, nobody in Europe finds it incongruous that Ukraine’s much-vaunted “defense of democracy” from Russian authoritarianism requires Ukrainian authoritarians to suppress basic democratic principles. Even in the United States — the nation with a First Amendment explicitly protecting free speech from government censorship — Democrats (an inappropriate political party name if ever there was one) are itching to resurrect the Biden administration’s Disinformation Governance Board designed to censor — in the name of “national security” — anything that government bureaucrats deem as “misinformation,” “malinformation,” or “disinformation.”

All across the West, therefore, a similar chain of events is occurring: (1) Marxist-globalists have told so many lies that a critical mass of citizens has begun to notice. (2) As citizens push back against the lies of their Marxist-globalist governments, those governments are becoming increasingly hostile to citizens. (3) In defense of their own authority, Marxist-globalist governments now embrace censorship and the criminalization of private thoughts. (4) Citizens have begun to realize that their own Marxist-globalist governments are the greatest threat to their freedoms, security, and prosperity.

What happens next? Maybe (5): We take the whole Marxist-globalist freak-show down for good. It’s time to end their lies.

Don’t you love the way the news media pretends it can’t figure out the motive of Cole Tomas Allen, who tried to shoot-up Saturday’s White House correspondents’ gala. He was a creation of the very White House correspondents who ducked under their tables at the sound of his shots. Cole Tomas Allen had digested and internalized the “narrative” spewage of the Democratic Party’s propaganda department. MSNOW occupied his brain like a glistening parasite.

CBS tried to amplify the shooter’s own motive on Sunday night’s 60 Minutes show when Norah O’Donnell read out-loud from his manifesto, “I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes,” and asked President Trump “What is your reaction to that?” Mr. Trump did not fall for the ruse — which was just an opportunity to reinforce a well-worn scurrility. “You’re a disgrace,” the president replied, and Ms. O’Donnell just continued with the interview as if his answer never registered. There it is.

In fact, Cole Tomas Allen traveled all the way from Los Angeles to Washington for the rare chance to find Mr. Trump and most of his cabinet all together in one room where he might be able to kill as many of them as possible. He styled himself: “Cole ‘coldForce’ ‘Friendly Federal Assassin’ Allen. “I experience rage thinking about everything this administration has done,” he concluded in his short manifesto, reportedly composed and sent out minutes before he left his room at the Washington Hilton to perform his rash deed.

Justice is coming for them. They know it, and their “resistance” seeks to turn feral and savage in the months leading to the midterm elections. It will start in a few days with “Mayday Strong” rallies and street marches. Their slogan, “It’s workers over billionaires,” is just another lie. The part they leave out is that these actions are funded by billionaires: George Soros, Neville Roy Singham, Hansjörg Wyss, et al. Don’t expect the action to remain “mostly peaceful,” either. The idea, of course is to get violent so as to goad President Trump into invoking emergency powers to put down an insurrection.

I doubt that President Trump will shrink from invoking the Insurrection Act, an amalgamation of laws passed by Congress starting in 1792–1795 with the Militia Acts, then the key 1807 law signed by President Thomas Jefferson, and major amendments during and after the Civil War, including the 1871 Ku Klux Klan Act. It is codified in Title 10 of the United States Code, Chapter 13, specifically §§ 251–255. It is a statutory exception to the Posse Comitatus Act (1878), which generally prohibits using federal troops for domestic law enforcement.

The Insurrection Act (with its predecessor statutes) has been invoked approximately 30 times in U.S. history by 16 presidents — Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Jackson, Lincoln, Grant, Hayes, Arthur, Cleveland, Wilson, Harding, FD Roosevelt, Kennedy, Johnson, Reagan, and Bush — in episodes ranging from the Whiskey Rebellion, the Southern Secession, many violent labor strikes, several race riots, and looting in natural disasters.

President Trump might have to use the Insurrection Act to stop what has been an ongoing coup against his elected administration by an opposition party that has turned criminal and traitorous. He may have to convene extraordinary military tribunals to adjudicate crimes that include those committed by the federal judiciary itself. If he does all this, it must include an executive order mandating common sense election procedure for the midterm: citizenship and photo ID required, paper ballots only, no vote-counting machines, voting only on one day deemed Election Day, and mail-in ballots limited only to military, people required to be out of the country, and the disabled. All this is looking increasingly unavoidable.

The fall of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in an eleven-count fraud and money-laundering indictment is a watershed moment for exposing the bad faith business model of the Lefty-left: pay for the creation of imaginary monsters so you can pretend to be the defender of your fake victim-clients, the sundry “oppressed minorities” yearning to breathe free.

The money was paid to various manifestations of “white supremacy,” ranging from the good old Ku Klux Klan (more venerable in America’s memory than Frankenstein) to the avant-garde Sadistic Souls Motorcycle Club, affiliated with the Aryan Nation. And, turns out, the SPLC also engineered the Fine People Hoax in Charlottesville, 2020, that loomed so large in “Joe Biden’s” supposedly victorious campaign for president. The Left’s moral center-of-gravity is a black hole of grift and subterfuge.

Of course, this SPLC farrago might raise some questions about many other Lefty-left NGOs that infest our political landscape, such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Black Lives Matter (BLM), and Al Otro Lado in California, which launders taxpayer money into all manner of freebies for illegal aliens — all of these orgs accused of rank improprieties. CAIR, which is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, was declared a terrorist or transnational criminal organization by Texas and Florida. BLM grifters in Atlanta and Oklahoma City were indicted for wire fraud and money laundering.

Between the zillions of dollars flooding the USA from foreign dark money pass-thrus like the Soros family’s Open Society Foundations, the checkbook of Shanghai American expat Neville Roy Singham, The Tides Foundation, The Hopewell Fund, et cetera, ad infinitum, plus the taxpayers of California, New York, Illinois, and Minnesota, vast fortunes are pumped into civic mischief and chaos creation here, including all the riots of recent years. Is it not time, a least, to revoke the 501(c)(3) tax exemption status of all these nefarious outfits? Should be easy. (Paging Treasury Sec’y and IRS chief Scott Bessent!)

Next up: The Democratic Party’s savage stupidity played out this week in Virginia with a big election win for a shamelessly impudent Congressional redistricting scam that would sculpt away all but one GOP district of eleven on the Virginia map. NGOs poured a ton of money into the op. The ballot proposition was worded artfully “to restore fairness in upcoming elections,” which, as always with the Lefty-left, was the exact opposite of what it was designed to do.

Within hours, Tazewell County Circuit Court Judge Jack C. Hurley, Jr., ruled the proposition void and blocked Virginia from certifying the referendum. The case now speeds to the Virginia Supreme Court where the prop is expected to fail on at least four counts of blatant affront to the state’s constitution. Virginia’s new governor, former CIA analyst Abigail Spanberger, ran in 2025 on the explicit promise that she would not advocate a Congressional redistricting measure. This is exactly what Democratic Party bad faith looks like.

You’ve noticed, no doubt, that bad faith is not solely owned by the Democratic Party. We watch in wonder and nausea the bewildering psychodrama of Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) refusing to allow procedure that would get the Save Act passed (common sense election reform). Nor will Thune allow confirmation votes to proceed for nominated DOJ US attorneys and other jobs submitted by the executive branch. He shows every sign of wanting his party to lose. . .which means, allowing the Democratic Party to continue queering elections, including the crucial midterms. . . which means he wants our country to fail.

Seems like nobody knows what to do about Sen. Thune and his dishonorable cohorts in the chamber. If the president knows, he isn’t saying just now, and that would be consistent with his mode of fighting battles. But remember, Nicolás Maduro has been in US custody for months, and you can be sure he’s been debriefed on the subject of Dominion and Smartmatic voting machine shenanigans that originated in Venezuela years ago in order to ensure his own election. The FBI is also sitting on 2020 election evidence harvested out of Georgia, Michigan, and Arizona (perhaps other states, too). The truth about 2020 will come out, probably sooner than later, and when it does, Senator Thune will be sufficiently humiliated to drive him out of his post. He appears to be too dumb to realize that.

Now, as to Iran: The country’s putative “leadership” marinates in rage, impotence, and factional squabbling as the ceasefire dwindles. They can make some more mischief in the Persian Gulf, perhaps, but in a matter of days Iran’s oil industry will be permanently wrecked, its economy strangled, and its ordinary citizens in a desperate fury to make it all stop. If that doesn’t force a deal — no nukes, hand-over the 1000 pounds of Uranium, let in the neutral inspectors, etc. — then it’s onto the bridges and power plants. There really is no other way now. Show a little more patience. Won’t be long. The world will be a better place when this is over.

Today's Patriot is Sybil Ludington who was born April 5, 1761 in Fredericksburg, Dutchess County, New York (close to the Connecticut border). She was 1 of 12 children, all of whom survived to adulthood. Her father was a Colonel in the militia.

The story told of Sybil was passed down through the family as told in a 1907 biography of her father. However, many sources say there is no evidence for Sybil's ride. As a researcher of my own family history, I find that there is, in general, very little information about women prior to the 1800s. Indeed, even though she married, even the government could not find a record of her marriage when she applied for widow's benefits (although that might just have been a precursor to today's immediate denial of claims for lack of documentation). Anyway, here's the story:

On April 26, 1777, after the attack on Danbury, Connecticut by the British, 16-year-old Sybil rode her horse, Star, on a 40 mile loop through Connecticut forest to alert her father's militia that British forces raided and burned Danbury. She carried a long stick with which to rap on doors and windows so she could not have to dismount. This was important because Danbury was a major supply center for the Continental Army. She was in time to alert the militia of the upcoming Battle of Ridgefield. The militia would successfully drive the British back to Long Island Sound.

On October 24, 1784, Sybil married Edmond Ogden (1755-1799) in Patterson, Putnam, New York. They had 1 child, a son, who would later become a lawyer and New York State Assemblyman. In 1792, the family settled in Catskill, where Edmond operated an inn. Edmond died September 16, 1799 and Sybil took over running the inn. In 1811, Sybil moved to Unadilla, New York with her son and his wife.

Sybil died February 26, 1839, at age 77. She is interred in the Patterson Presbyterian Cemetery (near her father) in Patterson, New York.

A Virginia circuit court in Tazewell County issued a ruling Wednesday that strikes down a series of election-related laws, handing a major legal defeat to measures backed by Democratic Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger and her allies.

The Republican National Committee and plaintiff Steven Koski challenged House Bill 6007, House Bill 1384, House Joint Resolution 6001, and related provisions of the Virginia Code, saying the legislature exceeded its authority and misled voters through improper ballot language and procedural violations. The court agreed with key portions of those arguments, ruled the redistricting vote unconstitutional, and granted final judgment on all counts of the verified complaint.

In a detailed order, the court declared House Bill 6007 void ab initio, concluding that lawmakers improperly expanded legislative authority beyond what prior resolutions permitted. The court also found the measure could not stand under the Virginia Constitution due to procedural defects and the absence of a valid electoral framework supporting its implementation.

The ruling invalidated related provisions of the Virginia Code, arguing they conflicted with constitutional requirements governing legislative action and election procedures. The court also rejected House Bill 1384 in its entirety, finding multiple constitutional violations, including defective ballot language, improper timing of voter submission and failure to clearly describe the scope and purpose of the proposed amendment.

Among its findings, the court said the ballot presentation misled voters, the measure combined multiple subjects in violation of constitutional requirements, and it improperly bypassed legislative safeguards designed to regulate local and special laws. The court also ruled that votes cast in the April 2026 special election tied to the measure carried no legal effect.

The judge further determined that plaintiffs had standing and that the case warranted permanent injunctive relief. The ruling said that the challenged laws created irreversible legal and procedural harm, justifying immediate and permanent judicial intervention.

Virginia voters narrowly approved a measure on Tuesday to redraw the state’s congressional maps, a change that could shift representation to give Democrats up to 10 of 11 U.S. House seats. Democrats advanced the plan in response to President Donald Trump who had asked Republican-led states to pursue midterm redistricting.

Prior to losing Tuesday’s Virginia redistricting referendum, the Republican National Committee ramped up its opposition to the measure, arguing the new congressional map would unfairly tilt the state toward Democrats and reshape U.S. House representation. It also invested significant resources into the effort as part of a broader push to counter Democratic gains ahead of the midterm elections.

Virginia Democrats advanced the redistricting amendment through both chambers of the General Assembly, completing the necessary legislative approvals before placing it before voters in a statewide referendum. The effort is part of a wider trend of mid-decade redistricting in several states, building on Virginia‘s current 6–5 Democratic edge in the U.S. House.

On April 23, 2026, the White House released the Fact Sheet President Donald J. Trump Announces Deal with Regeneron to Bring Most-Favored-Nation Pricing to American Patients explaining that this is the 17th pharmaceutical manufacturer agreement lowering drug prices for Americans.

The reduced cost pharmaceutical medicines that Regeneron is offering to Americans are available on TrumpRx.gov. In addition, in the agreement, Regeneron is offering Otarmeni, a new gene therapy for a rare type of genetic deafness, to US patients (specifically minors) at no cost. Otarmeni was approved today through the FDA Commissioner's National Priority Voucher Program. This Voucher Program prioritizes accelerated review of products that align with critical national priorities.

So far, Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, EMD Serono, Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, Amgen, Bristol Myers Squibb, Boehringer Ingelheim, Genentech, Gilead Science, GSK, Merck, Novartis, Sanofi, Johnson & Johnson, AbbVie and now Regeneron have signed agreements with the Trump Administration to offer MFN (Most Favored Nation) pricing to Americans. The Fact Sheet concludes that President Trump is fulfilling his promises to American patients.

On April 23, 2026, The White House published the video President Trump is Making the Reflecting Pool Beautiful Again. In the video, President Trump reminded us that Martin Luther King made his great speech at the Reflecting Pool. Others have given speeches there as well.

The pool was built in 1922. It is 2,000 feet long by 167 feet wide. It currently has no water in it because it has been leaking like a sieve for many years. It is filthy. It has not worked for many years.

It's a good thing President Trump has a construction background. They were going to remove the granite, replace it with stone, take more than 3 years, and cost over $300 million. He called the people who used to do swimming pools for him. They told him they could refurbish the Reflecting Pool for $1.5 to $2 million. They would scrub the surface of the existing granite, then grout it. It would take about 2 weeks. Then add an industrial grade swimming pool topping in American Flag blue color. The refurbishment should last 40 or 50 years.

Expect lawsuits. Probably something about the competitive bidding process. Or, like the Ballroom, about the approval process. The loony left will think of some reason to file another lawsuit in the DC activist courts.

Last week, I shared this declaration with members of the prestigious Ways and Means Committee on Capitol Hill. We convened to advance landmark legislation to protect the foster care community.
This follows the Fostering the Future Executive Order signed last November. I remain impressed by our Representatives’ bipartisan commitment and am confident this will soon become the “law of the land.” When passed, this will mark the second piece of legislation I have championed for the protection of America’s next generation.
The world doesn’t move for those who stop. Over the past year, with discipline and focus, I have enacted several initiatives to benefit our children. Domestically, Fostering the Future has expanded coast to coast to roughly 33 percent of the states in our country. Fostering the Future university scholarship programs are available for individuals aging out of foster care in Georgia, Arizona, California, Nebraska, New York, Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. The TAKE IT DOWN Act is the first piece of legislation that I supported within the first 100 days of this 47th presidential administration. On April 7th, just a few weeks ago, the U.S. Department of Justice secured its first conviction under the new law. $30 million was allocated towards HUD’s 2026 budget to support housing for America’s foster youth. Representative Steve Womack and Secretary Scott Turner supported my efforts to implement this critical measure.
Progress is not granted—you must be the composer. Embolden your influence in the community with a strong vision to the future. All 50 states are participating in the Presidential AI Challenge, and almost 3,000 schools nationwide joined the White House AI Workshop. Our educators, students, and academic administrators understand the importance of mastering new technology. Over the past two months, America sat at the intersection of youth, technology, and education on the global stage. I am honored to have had the opportunity to address the United Nations Security Council about the importance of peace through education. We are not here to prepare our children for yesterday’s world. Be purposeful with your objectives and remember that AI accelerates everything.
Leaders from almost 50 nations joined me at the White House and the State Department for Fostering the Future Together’s Global Coalition Summit. Never before has an American First Lady welcomed so many leaders to the White House for diplomatic purposes in one day. I am proud that America’s best technology companies, including Meta, Palantir, OpenAI, Adobe, Zoom Communications, X, and Microsoft, had the chance to advance our mission: to empower children with technology and education.
And of course, I completed the fourth reunification of Ukrainian and Russian children with their families. As you can imagine, this is no easy feat, but I applaud leadership from both nations in working with my representative and me to bring love and safety back to each individual who has been displaced as a result of this horrible war.

On April 23, 2026, Day 68 of the Democrat's Partial Federal Government Shutdown,

The Senate voted upon SCR33 - A concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2026 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2027 through 2035 agreeing to it in a vote of 50 to 48 with 2 members not voting. All the amendments to add portions of the SAVE America Act were rejected. This resolution was:

Introduced in Senate April 21, 2026
Establishes the congressional budget for the federal government for FY2026, sets forth budgetary levels for FY2027-FY2035, and provides reconciliation instructions for legislation that increases the deficit.
The resolution recommends levels and amounts for FY2026-FY2035 for

federal revenues,
new budget authority,
budget outlays,
deficits,
public debt,
debt held by the public, and
the major functional categories of spending.

It also recommends levels and amounts for Social Security and Postal Service discretionary administrative expenses for the purpose of budget enforcement in the Senate.
The resolution includes reconciliation instructions that direct the House Homeland Security Committee, the House Judiciary Committee, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Senate Judiciary Committee to submit recommendations for legislation that will increase the deficit over FY2026-FY2035 by not more than $70 billion. Each committee must submit the recommendations to the House or Senate Budget Committee by May 15, 2026.
(Under current law, reconciliation bills are considered by Congress using expedited legislative procedures that prevent a filibuster and restrict amendments in the Senate.)
In addition, the resolution establishes reserve funds that allow certain adjustments to committee allocations and other budgetary levels to accommodate (1) reconciliation legislation, and (2) legislation that would not increase the deficit over FY2026-FY2035 and supports changes to immigration enforcement and border security policy undertaken by the President.
Finally, the resolution sets forth budget enforcement procedures that address issues such as budget points of order in the Senate and emergency spending requirements in the House.

The Senate then adjourned at 3:46am on April 23, 2026. They will reconvene at 3pm on April 27, 2026.

The House

discussed HR5587 - Harnessing Energy At Thermal Sources Act or the HEATS Act, then
voted on HR5587 in a yea-and-nay vote passed 231 to 186 with 12 members not voting.

The House then adjourned. They will reconvene at noon on April 27, 2026.

So, it looks like the Senate finally got DHS funded. BUT, they did NOT do anything on the SAVE America Act, or any of the other EOs President Trump has enacted that We The People voted to have implemented!

In the lawsuit State of Illinois v. Illinois on October 6, 2025 about National Guard Deployment where Illinois sued the Trump administration over the plans by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to deploy federalized National Guard troops from Texas in the state.

On April 21, 2026, Judge April M Perry made a judgement in the civil case:
Hearing held 4/20/2026 on Defendants' motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction 129 . For the reasons stated in open court, the Court finds that this case is moot, and therefore dismisses the matter with prejudice. Defendants are directed to file by 4/23/2026 either a publicly-available redacted version of the memorandum relied upon by the Court in its ruling (including the header information, references, and GENTEXT/Remarks paragraph 1) along with a motion to seal the remaining portions of the memo explaining why sealing is justified, or a fully publicly-available copy of the memorandum. Civil case terminated.
On April 21, 2026, Honorable Jeffrey T Gilbert entered a notification of docket entry:
In light of the District Judge's order [150], all matters relating to the referral of this case having been resolved, this matter is being returned to the assigned District Judge. Referral terminated.

As we have seen in other court cases, if the situation resolves before the court makes a binding judgement, all actions on the case are dismissed and the case is terminated. So, the next time the President has to send in NICE (National Immigration and Customs Enforcement) to handle the crime and unlawfulness, they will have to start with a brand new lawsuit.

First person to send news of the start of the War to other Colonies.

Today's Patriot is Joseph Palmer who was born March 31, 1716 in Shaugh Prior, Devonshire, England. Joseph emigrated to Germantown, Massachusetts in 1746, arriving with his brother-in-law.

Joseph and his brother-in-law invested in several businesses (such as a textile mill, glass works, chocolate mill, salt works, and spermacetti factory), building a glassworks in Germantown, Massachusetts. Joseph bought out his brother-in-law by 1960 to become sole owner of the various businesses.

In 1746, Joseph Married Mary Cranch (1720-1790). The couple had 3 children, all of whom survived to adulthood.

By 1770, Joseph was fully integrated into the Patriot's view. Joseph fought in the Siege of Boston, Battle of Lexington (discussed in my September 27, 2025 ANP Article), and Battle of Bunker Hill (discussed in my June 18, 2025 ANP Article).

On April 19, 1775, after the start of the Battle of Lexington, Joseph, who had removed himself to Waterford, wrote a missive now called the Lexington Alarm to warn and rally colonists between Lexington and Philadelphia. The missive stated:

To all the friends of American liberty be it known that this morning before break of day, a brigade, consisting of about 1,000 to 1,200 men landed at Phip's Farm, at Cambridge, and marched to Lexington, where they found a company of our colony militia in arms, upon whom they fired without any provocation, killed six men and wounded four others. — By an express from Boston, we find another brigade are now upon their march from Boston, supposed to be about 1,000. The Bearer, Israel Bissell, is charged to alarm the country quite to Connecticut, and all persons are desired to furnish him with fresh horses, as they may be needed. — I have spoken with several persons who have seen the dead and wounded; pray let the delegates from this colony to Connecticut see this, they know Col. Foster of Brookfield one of the delegates.

Joseph sent Israel Bissell (discussed in my April 22, 2026 ANP Article) to Philadelphia to inform the Continental Congress, and all the colonies along the way, of the start of the war.

In 1776, Joseph was commissioned as a Brigadier General of the Suffolk County Militia. He also participated in intelligence gathering missions. He also commanded the unsuccessful attack on the British at Newport, Rhode Island.

After the war, Joseph resumed his business interests. However, debts incurred during the war (he used his own money to support the war effort) and his poor health forced a move to Dorchester where he rented a home from John Adams. He established a salt works in 1784 on the Boston Neck, operating the salt works until his death.

Joseph died December 25, 1788 at age 72, in Dorchester, Massachusetts. He is interred at Central Burying Ground, Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts.

* Just a note about the video below, the narrator says it was Isaac Bissell who went to Philadelphia. This is is incorrect. Isaac Bissell went elsewhere. Israel Bissel is the one Joseph sent to Philadelphia.

Manufacturing Is Returning To The US, Day 67 of Democrat Shutdown, Patriot Israel Bissell, And More

President Trump's Presidential Actions published in the Federal Register (FR) to date:

On April 22, 2026, the White House published the release Trump Effect: American Manufacturing Is Roaring Back as Factory Activity Hits Four-Year High with the manufacturing comeback gaining speed as every state benefits. Every index monitoring the growth of domestic manufacturing from the Institute for Supply Management to the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia shows steady growth.

President Trump has been working diligently on bringing US manufacturing back to the US.

US Steel is restarting the Gary Tin Mill in Indiana.
Stellantis (auto manufacturing) is expanding it's US manufacturing by 50%, expanding and adding new production lines, with a $13 billion investment.
Apple committed $600 billion in US manufacturing distributed over the next 4 years (although they've recently closed a flagship store in Baltimore, Maryland).
Nvidia has pledged $500 billion to produce AI chips entirely in the US (to include the infrastructure to accomplish the manufacturing) with manufacturing already being done in Arizona to produce next-generation chips.
GlobalFoundries has allocated $16 billion to bring their advanced semiconductor manufacturing back to the US.
Johnson & Johnson is committed to manufacturing its newest production line in the US and have invested $55 billion to make it happen.
Other pharmaceutical manufacturers are expanding their US manufacturing plans reinforcing domestic supply chains for life-saving medications: AstraZeneca $50 billion, Bristol Myers Squibb $40 billion, and GSK $30 billion.

Across the board, industry leaders are celebrating. Orders are up, confidence is back, and US manufacturing is on the move.

Remember it is not just the manufacturing plants contributing to our economy. With the plants there is need for a supply chain to produce and provide raw materials and a supply chain to distribute the completed product to the consumer. Then there is the need for infrastructure from building new buildings to utilities to roadways. Each of these aspects creates new demands on the existing infrastructure which, in turn, creates jobs in those areas. From semi drivers to warehouse workers to construction workers to road workers to utility installers, more jobs equals a better economy.

On April 22, 2026, Day 67 of the Democrat's Partial Federal Government Shutdown, with the Senate attempting to pass a funding bill to include funding DHS - it failed. So the Federal government remains partially shut down and DHS (to include the Coast Guard, FEMA, ICE, Border Patrol, and other National Security operations) remains unfunded.

The House discussed the following bills:

HR1182 Expressing support for rural communities across the United States as stewards of the environment, major suppliers of United States energy resources, critical providers of food production and manufacturing capacity, and drivers of national economic stability, and recognizing the work of the House of Representatives in the 119th Congress in support of those vital communities.
HR1189 Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 4690) to amend the Energy Conservation and Production Act to repeal certain Federal building energy efficiency performance standards, and for other purposes; providing for consideration of the resolution (H. Res. 1182) expressing support for rural communities across the United States as stewards of the environment, major suppliers of United States energy resources, critical providers of food production and manufacturing capacity, and drivers of national economic stability, and recognizing the work of the House of Representatives in the 119th Congress in support of those vital communities; providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 1897) to amend the Endangered Species Act of 1973 to optimize conservation through resource prioritization, incentivize wildlife conservation on private lands, provide for greater incentives to recover listed species, create greater transparency and accountability in recovering listed species, streamline the permitting process, eliminate barriers to conservation, and restore congressional intent; and providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 5587) to amend the Geothermal Steam Act of 1970 to waive the requirement for a Federal drilling permit for certain activities, to exempt certain activities from the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, and for other purposes.

The House held 7 votes on 4 bills (all but 1 were "Yea-And-Nay" format):

HR1189 - 180:179 with 72 not voting to "order the previous question" then agreeing to the resolution in a recorded vote of 211 to 206 with 14 not voting.
HR1182 - agreed to the resolution 220 to 196 with 2 saying "present" and 12 not voting.
HR4690 - the first vote failed 203 to 214 with 13 not voting, the second vote passed 215 to 202 with 13 not voting.
HR6387 - the first vote failed 206 to 214 with 10 not voting, the second vote passed 220 to 198 with 12 not voting.

The Senate rejected 3 amendments to SCR33.

SCR33 - A concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2026 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2027 through 2035 (this one is only 60 pages) introduced by Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on April 21, 2026. This bill has no cosponsors. The following amendments to SCR33 (the text for these is currently unavailable) were rejected: SA5414 (48-50), SA 4794 (50-48), and SA5001 (48-50).

So DHS continues to go unfunded, the SAVE America Act continues to go unpassed, and everything We The People want to see happen goes unfulfilled. Every person who impedes what We The People want to have happen needs to be voted out of office when their terms are up.

The purpose of this administrative stay is to give the court sufficient opportunity to consider the emergency motion for a stay pending appeal and should not be construed in any way as a ruling on the merits of that motion. See D.C. Circuit Handbook of Practice and Internal Procedures 33 (2025). It is
FURTHER ORDERED that consideration of the motion for stay be consolidated with consideration of the merits of this appeal. It is
FURTHER ORDERED, on the court’s own motion, that this appeal be expedited.
The Clerk is directed to calendar this case for oral argument before this panel on June 5, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.

So the construction is back on while the courts continue to supersede each other's orders.

The War has begun.

Today's Patriot is Israel Bissell (Bissel) Jr who was born in 1752 in East Windsor, Connecticut Colony, British Colonies. He was 3rd of 7 children, all of whom survived to adulthood. He was of English descent (his parents emigrated from England).

Israel was a mail carrier for the British Crown traveling between Boston and New York. When the British fired Benjamin Franklin as Postmaster General, the Patriots established their own routes and Israel began working for them. Israel carried dispatches for the Sons of Liberty, so it was no surprise that Israel was chosen to ride to Philadelphia on April 19, 1775 carrying a dispatch from Joseph Palmer of the Committee of Safety with the goal of warning that the War had begun and asking that militias be sent to Concord and Lexington to assist in the battle.

Israel left Lexington with the "call to arms" dispatch from Joseph Palmer. He alerted Watertown and Worcester (where his first horse died from exhaustion) Massachusetts; Pomfret, Brooklyn, Norwich, New London, Lyme, Old Saybrook, Killingworth, East Guilford, Guilford, Branford, New Haven, and Fairfield Connecticut; New York City, New York; Elizabeth, New Brunswick, Princeton, and Trenton, New Jersey; arriving in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the early evening of April 24, 1775, the ride took 4 days and 6 hours and covered 345 miles. After delivering the missive, Israel returned to Connecticut.

Israel joined the Continental Army, shortly after returning to Connecticut, serving under Captain Wolcott. When his father died in 1776, Israel returned to Connecticut to care for the family farm. After the war, Israel moved to Middlefield, Massachusetts to become a sheep farmer.

On August 30, 1784, Israel married Lucy Hancock (1784-1823) in Middlefield, Hampshire, Massachusetts. The couple had 6 children, 3 of whom survived to adulthood. In 1790, the family moved to Hinsdale, Massachusetts.

Israel died October 24, 1823 at age 71, with a cause of death unknown, in Hinsdale, Massachusetts. He is interred at the Maple Street Cemetery in Hinsdale, Massachusetts.

Irish farmers and truckers are blocking major thoroughfares as part of growing protests against their government’s mass immigration policies, “green energy” regulations, and “climate change” taxes. Miles-long convoys of German drivers have blockaded the streets surrounding Chancellor Merz’s residence in Berlin to demand his removal from office. In Manchester thousands of patriotic Brits continue to take to the streets with a sea of white flags bearing red crosses — Saint George’s Cross, the national flag of England.

Across Europe, similar protests against mass immigration, costly bureaucratic regulations, and economically suicidal energy policies pop up without much warning and quickly take over national highways and city streets. One of the common and visually striking features of these protests is the multitude of national flags. From one set of eyes staring at the array of protesters waving their country’s flags in the air, the scene looks like a never-ending quilt of unbridled patriotism.

For the most part, European and North American corporate newsrooms refuse to cover these newsworthy protests. Their concerted efforts to hide what is happening across the West stand in contrast to the ways they actively promote small gatherings of NGO-funded provocateurs pushing globalism’s favorite pet projects: calling white people “racist,” supporting taxpayer-funded abortion, threatening to murder “populists,” calling for the end of private property, demanding amnesty for illegal aliens, and equating the use of hydrocarbon fuels to genocide.

When the Soros family or other globalist billionaires pay rioters to take to the streets, corporate newsrooms (often owned, directly or indirectly, by the same billionaires paying for the street theater) cover the anti-Western mayhem as if globalist temper tantrums were exotic breaking news (when, in reality, Western citizens are keenly aware that globalists excel at whining, breaking things, trespassing, stealing, and assaulting people). When pro-illegal immigration crowds show up to burn the national flags of Great Britain, France, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands, news cameras catch the action. When those same throngs of foreigners wave the flags of their home countries, news cameras record the scene as if it were some righteous and historic fight for “diversity” and “multiculturalism.” When the peoples of Europe whose ancestors have lived on the continent for several thousand years wave the flags of their political states, however, “reporters” pretend that the assembly of citizens is doing nothing but “promoting hate.”

What an interesting time to be alive. For all of human history, when a group of foreigners occupied the territorial home of another people and waved the emblems of their foreign states in the faces of the natives, we recognized that event as an “invasion.” Today, Western governments — stewing in the poisons of globalism and advancing a religion of self-immolation — treat invaders as citizens and citizens as nuisances. Across Europe, North America, and Australasia, globalist governments have lowered their drawbridges for outsiders while throwing insiders into the moats. It is easy to imagine French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, or European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen hiding in medieval castle keeps while instructing self-loathing guards to fire arrows only at the people waving French, British, or European flags. How else would one expect European “leaders” to behave when European governments allow foreigners to rape and murder citizens while arresting citizens who object to being raped and murdered? More and more citizens are recognizing the total disregard that globalist governments have for their safety.

This “awakening” that is happening throughout the West — wherein ordinary citizens have begun to rebel against their governments’ suicidal policies — is picking up steam. It seems to reflect a social consciousness that is increasingly aware that home governments have long been behaving as enemies. “Enemy” is a strong word reserved for those who oppose us with great hostility or malice. Generally, “enemies” lie on the other side of a country’s borders or across entire oceans. But when Western governments invite mortal enemies inside their nations’ borders, those governments aid and abet the very people who wish us harm. Traditionally, we call government officeholders who betray citizens “traitors.” Traitors, of course, are enemies, too.

Globalism, by design, works to destroy national borders. Its proponents pursue this goal through increasingly overt ways. In Europe, the Schengen treaties and rules incorporated into European Union law have eliminated internal border controls between most countries. Originally touted as a way to allow the citizens of European nations to travel freely throughout the continent, it was always a mass migration weapon that has enabled globalists to flood the discrete nations of Europe with foreigners from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. In North America, the United Nations and globalist-funded NGOs spend billions of dollars each year in assisting migrants from South and Central America to travel through Mexico and flood the United States. In both Europe and North America, the same wealthy, powerful globalists pursue one goal: to replace native citizens with so many foreign peoples that it becomes impossible for any nation to maintain a distinct identity.

Globalists are internationalists. They seek to create a new world order with global government, international agencies, and international law. One way to accomplish these objectives is to erase national borders and to invite an international population to resettle inside a formerly sovereign nation. By doing so, both foreign allegiances and international laws are injected into the domestic governing system, whether the native population desires that result or not.

Just as the devil is the father of lies, globalism is the philosophy of liars. Those liars call illegal immigrants “asylum seekers.” They call foreigners who are financially dependent on government welfare “contributors,” “taxpayers,” and “economic boons.” They call citizens who wish to enforce their country’s borders and protect their country’s culture “racists,” “bigots,” “fascists,” “Nazis,” and “xenophobes” (as if foreigners are known for flocking to racist, bigoted, fascist lands filled with Nazis who discriminate against outsiders). Globalist liars pretend that borders are antiquated relics of “colonialism” and “imperialism,” even though it is foreigners who are colonizing nations by building little ethnic empires that refuse to assimilate.

At some point, the people being slowly conquered through the one-two punch of “open borders” and “mass migration” (or what we might call “globalist-assisted national suicide”) were going to look around and realize that the countries they once knew are quickly disappearing. If current trends continue, the ten largest cities in the United Kingdom will have Muslim majorities within the next few decades. Similar trends are completely upending the demographics and cultures of France, Germany, Spain, and every other European nation that traded sovereignty for the Trojan Horse of the Schengen Agreement.

In the United States, Minnesota and Maine have Somali enclaves that have become so politically powerful that Minneapolis Mayor (and Democrat Party globalist) Jacob Frey delivered parts of his victory speech last November in the Somali tongue. While globalist liars demonize Americans as “colonizers,” Somalis (with the help of their globalist patrons and Minnesota Democrats’ fondness for welfare fraud) have actually colonized what once was one of the “whitest” regions of the nation. Whenever illegal aliens commit crimes in the United States, globalist prosecutors sweep those crimes under the rug, globalist newsrooms pretend they never happened, and globalist politicians repeat ad nauseam, “Diversity is our strength.”

“Diversity” can be a strength. It is nice to have a diverse collection of weapons when under attack. A diverse collection of experts is helpful when designing architectural marvels, such as giant walls. It is not likely, however, that many people behind a castle’s gates have ever looked at an approaching army and concluded, “We won’t survive without more diversity.” People who are interested in protecting their civilizations do not invite other civilizations to take over their castles.

Globalists, however, are at war with Western civilization. Those liars betray us all. They are our enemies.

President Trump then went on to say that the athletes in attendance are the very best, showing grit and determination and teamwork. He spoke about the steps he has taken this term such as banning men from women's sports, signed an EO to implement key reforms protecting sporting programs. He said Congress needs to act to protect College sports on every level. The White House convened 64 top people, respected sports figures and commissioners. This issue needs to be addressed because 75% of college athletes compete for Team USA in the Olympics. He concluded:

So I want to congratulate you. You know you're a group of real champions. I know what it is to win in sports and win in life but to win in sports is uh I always say it's a microcosm of life. The beautiful thing you know in two hours or you know in a season how you are in life sometimes you have to go a lot of years before you can figure it out. On April 21, 2026, Day 66 of the Democrat's Partial Federal Government Shutdown, and yet another day passes with no resolution on fully opening the Federal government, funding DHS, passing the SAVE America Act, or any thing else We The People want them to pass! So what did they do instead?

Today's Patriot is Joseph Warren, MD who was born on June 11, 1741 in Roxbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay. He was 1st born of 4 children, all of whom survived to adulthood. His father died in 1755.

Joseph attended Roxbury Latin School followed by Harvard College from which he graduated in 1759. He then returned to Roxbury Latin School to teach for about a year while pursuing postgraduate studies at Harvard. He earned a Master of Arts degree in 1763 when he successfully defended his thesis arguing against the idea that all disease was caused by obstruction of bodily vessels.

On September 6m, 1764, Joseph married Elizabeth Hooten (1746-1773). They had 4 children, all of whom survived to adulthood. In 1774, Joseph met Mercy Scollay who would become his fiancée. Mercy was watching the children during the war om Worcester in 1775. She retained custody of the children receiving support for their education from Benedict Arnold and later the Continental Congress. John Hancock (discussed in my July 7, 2025 ANP Article), Samuel Adams (discussed in my September 15, 2025 ANP Article), and Mercy Otis Warren (discussed in my August 20, 2025 ANP Article) also provided support.

Joseph was initiated into the Freemasons at St Andrew's Lodge No 81 in Boston Massachusetts sometime after November 30, 1756 but before May 15, 1769 when he was appointed Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Massachusetts.

Joseph began his career practicing medicine and surgery in Boston. He became involved with John Hancock and Samuel Adams through the Sons of Liberty (discussed in my March 25, 2026 ANP Article). He was a leader during the 1768 Liberty Affair, later facilitating an agreement with John Hancock and customs officials.

Joseph was a writer, using the pseudonym A True Patriot. Royal officials put publishers Edes and Gill were put on trial for an article Joseph wrote under his pseudonym but no local jury would convict them. He authored the song Free America published in colonial newspapers.

Joseph was appointed to the Boston Committee of Correspondence sometime between 1773 and 1775. He drafted the Suffolk Resolves advocating resistance to the British Coercive Acts (aka Intolerable Acts). He was appointed President of the Massachusetts Provincial Congress where he served from May 2, 1775 to June 14, 1775.

Joseph learned of the British expedition happening on April 18, 1775, setting William Dawes (discussed in my April 19, 2026 ANP Article) and Paul Revere (discussed in my April 16, 2026 ANP Article) on the road (discussed in my April 18, 2026 ANP Article) to warn John Hancock and Samuel Adams who were in Lexington at the time.

The morning of April 19, 1775, Joseph slipped away from Boston to join the Battle of Lexington and Concord (discussed in my September 27, 2025 ANP Article). He was nearly killed during this battle when a musket ball struck part of his wig. After this battle, he began recruiting and organizing soldiers for the Siege of Boston.

On June 14, 1775, Joseph was commissioned as a Major General in the Continental Army. He arrived in Charleston just before the Battle of Bunker Hill began. He asked the ranking General where the heaviest fighting would be. Joseph then volunteered to join the militia at a rank of private so that he could serve where the fighting would be heaviest.

Joseph was killed in action on June 17, 1775, at age 34, as he defended the Patriot's last defensive position, firing his weapon until he ran out of ammunition. A forensic analysis conducted in 2011 showed that Joseph was killed in action possibly by a British officer's servant when he ran out of ammunition. The British, having won that round, stripped Joseph's body naked and bayoneted him repeatedly. Once they were done, they buried him in a shallow ditch.

Paul Revere and Joseph's brothers exhumed his body. Paul identified the remains by the dental work he had performed on Joseph's teeth. He was given a Masonic funeral. His body was first interred in the Granary Burying Ground. Then, in 1825, he was reinterred in St Paul's Church in Boston. Finally, in 1855, he was moved to the family vault in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.

Independent journalist Nick Shirley tore into Democrats over recently exposed massive fraud schemes, singling out Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar Sunday night as the worst of the Democrats he says enable or hide these scams.

Democrats have been fighting Republicans on the many fraud allegations and investigations underway in states like California and Minnesota, even putting forward a bill one Republican dubbed the “Stop Nick Shirley Act” in California to hobble independent journalists working to expose the problem. Shirley confronted California lawmakers over that bill in a video he posted Saturday. In a Fox News appearance on Sunday, Shirley called out Democrats like Omar, who he called “queen of the fraud,” for their “suspicious” behavior and motives.

“It’s a bit suspicious to have your net worth go by millions and then just recently say that it’s an error. I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever put two extra zeros as an error when I file any report,” Shirley told “The Big Weekend Show” co-host Guy Benson. “So, Ilhan Omar, we know who she is, we know that she is like the queen of the fraud, actually. So, Ilhan Omar, no respect to her whatsoever.”

During the Biden administration, the Justice Department probed how Omar’s wealth jumped since she entered Congress, particularly due to income received by her husband. Republican Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst said during a Jan. 8 appearance on “Varney and Company” that Omar had tried to sneak through an earmark of over $1 million for a suspicious “substance abuse clinic” housed at a Somali-owned restaurant.

Shirley’s December video featuring his visits to multiple purported day care centers run by Somali migrants in Minnesota brought national attention to major problems with welfare and other types of fraud resulting in millions of taxpayer dollars. Shirley discussed the proposed legislation targeting independent journalists in California, taking aim at the sponsor of AB2624, Democratic state Assemblywoman Mia Bonta after co-host Tomi Lahren noted the assemblywoman’s connection to California’s attorney general, Democrat Rob Bonta.

“Their goal as a family should be to prosecute and take care and make sure that there is so little fraud in the state that they can have such a peaceful night of sleep,” Shirley said. “However, while the attorney general is supposed to be prosecuting fraud, his wife is creating laws to let fraud continue, specifically saying that NGOs who receive money based off immigrant services don’t have to disclose their money.”

Shirley posted a 40-minute video in March during which he looked into hospice centers in the Los Angeles area, at one point claiming he uncovered at least $170 million in fraud. Shirley noted that security had become an issue as well.

“I was up on the hotel there were people on group chat saying where I was saying it’s happened a few times now it’s almost even dangerous [for] me to stay at hotels,” Shirley told Lahren, noting that he has received “constant death threats.”

“They should be working with me to crack down on this fraud instead of wanting to make me look like the bad person,” Shirley added. “Maybe it is because that fraud makes them look bad, but in reality I’m there to help everyone out. This is not Republican or a Democrat issue. There’s a lot more fraud in Democrat states… For them to make these attacks is quite frankly very stupid of them to do that when I am providing a huge public service.”

Omar did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Air Force Jet Fighter Training, Determinations On Energy, National Volunteer and Crime Victims Week, Patriot Samuel Prescott, And More

President Trump's Presidential Actions published in the Federal Register (FR) to date:

On April 20, 2026, President Trump signed the Presidential Determination Concerning the Air Force’s Jet Fighter Training Operations in Idaho, Oregon, and Nevada exempting the Air Force jet fighter training operations in those states from Federal, State, interstate, and local requirements, administrative authority, and process and sanctions respecting the control and abatement of water pollution specified in 33 USC 1323, Section 313 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, as amended). However, these operations are still required to follow the regulations of 33 USC 1316 and 33 USC 1317. This exemption is for a period of 1 year ending April 20, 2027.

The accompanying Fact Sheet President Donald J. Trump Issues Presidential Determination to Support U.S. Air Force Jet Fighter Training Operations explains that this Clean Water Act regulations exemption is for 1 year but the toughest Federal standards are still required to be followed. This Determination removed unnecessary obstacles hindering critical military training and removing regulations hindering operational effectiveness to ensure our military remains its combat readiness for global deterrence.

Combined, these 5 Determinations remind the Secretary of Energy that on January 20, 2025, EO 14156 Declaring a National Energy Emergency (discussed in my May 4, 2025 ANP Article) in which President Trump determined that the US had an inadequate energy production, transportation, and infrastructure constituting an extraordinary threat to National Security, US Economy, and Foreign Policy. In addition, adversaries have exploited these vulnerabilities. Therefore an affordable, reliable domestic supply of energy, including the infrastructure necessary to generate, transmit, and deliver this energy, is essential to the US ensuring defense readiness, economic strength, and energy independence.

In these 5 Determinations, the President has found that the US has aging infrastructure that needs to be refurbished and modernized. The Trump Administration has secured our borders, ending the invasion of criminal illegal aliens. They have deployed Federal resources to America's most dangerous cities to help remove criminals making life unbearable for our Citizens. President Trump pushed, then signed, the OBBB (discussed in a series of ANP Articles with an index available in my August 2, 2026 ANP Article) increasing the funding, resources, and manpower of NICE (National Immigration and Customs Enforcement) further supporting the arrest and deportation/repatriation of criminal illegal aliens.

This bill requires the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to investigate and report on emergency communications outages (e.g., 9-1-1 outages).
Specifically, the FCC must publish a general report on (1) the volume and nature of 9-1-1 outages that are not required to be reported under current outage notification rules, (2) the value and practicality of including visual information in outage notifications from communications providers, and (3) recommended changes to FCC rules to address these issues.
Separately, the FCC must hold annual public hearings on events for which the Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS) was activated for at least a week. (DIRS is a reporting system that is activated during severe weather and other events impacting communications service. It enables communications providers to report outages and other degradations to service.) After each such hearing, the FCC must issue a report that includes information about the number, duration, and nature of all associated outages, along with recommendations for improving the resiliency of affected communications services or networks. Such reports must generally be made public on the FCC website.

HR1681 which passed in a vote of 384 (184 Republicans, 199 Democrats, and 1 Independent) to 9 (all Republicans) with 37 members not voting (23 Republicans and 14 Democrats). The bill is summarized as follows:

This bill establishes an interagency strike force to support federal land management agencies' review of requests for communications use authorizations. (A communications use authorization is required to modify or locate communications facilities on public lands.)
The strike force must (1) conduct periodic calls with strike force members to ensure that each agency prioritizes the review of requests for communications use authorizations, (2) establish goals for the review of the requests, and (3) monitor and facilitate agency accountability for meeting the established goals.
The bill specifies that the strike force must include the head of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, the head of each federal land management agency, and other members designated by the Department of Agriculture and the Department of the Interior. The bill also requires the strike force to report to Congress regarding its effectiveness.

In the Senate, Senators voted to confirm PN787-1 - Andrew B. Davis - The Judiciary in a vote of 47 (all Republican) to 46 (43 Democrats, 1 Republican, and 2 Independents) with 7 Senators not voting (5 Republicans and 2 Democrats).

It appears Congress is busy trying to shutdown President Trump's actions in Iran (that they supported before President Trump was elected/re-elected). As far as I am concerned, if they did NOT vote for the SAVE America Act, they deserve to be primaried. Elect people who will accomplish the will of We The People - NOT the deep state, Communists, Marxists, Islamists, Radicals, Activists, and Democratic Socialist party!

On April 20, 2026, the FR published the following Presidential Documents that were signed April 15, 2026 (discussed in my April 16, 2026 ANP Article).

Today's Patriot is Samuel Prescott, MD who was born August 19, 1751 near Concord, Massachusetts. We know he had 1 brother, Abel Jr. While little is known about Samuel's life in general, and his schooling in particular, we do know that he followed his father and grandfather in becoming a physician.

Samuel was possibly interested in Lydia Mulliken of Lexington, Massachusetts as a potential spouse when the Revolutionary War began. Lydia waited for him until after the war was over. After not hearing anything between 1777 and the end of the war, Lydia decided marry someone else.

Paul Revere (discussed in my April 16, 2026 ANP Article), in his testimony about the ride, 'found' Samuel to be a "High Son of Liberty" indicating that Samuel may have been part of the Sons of Liberty (discussed in my March 25, 2026 ANP Article) and was therefore trustworthy. However, there is no documentation tying Samuel to the Sons other than Paul's statement.

Samuel joined Paul and William Dawes (discussed in my April 19, 2026 ANP Article) on the Midnight Ride to alert the towns between Lexington and Concord that the British troops were arriving by sea. Samuel was on his way to Concord from Lexington when he encountered Paul and William a short distance from Hartwell Farm west of Lexington, just before the 3 men were stopped by British troops near Lincoln. To escape capture, Samuel jumped his horse over a stone wall, making his way to Concord to spread the word that the British were on the way. Samuel sounded the alert in every town and homestead as he made his way to Concord and those he alerted sent other riders to call the militia to action. Once Concord had been notified, Samuel sent his brother, Abel, to Acton so they, too, could be ready.

After joining the midnight ride, and completing the task of notifying the countryside between Lincoln and Concord of the impending arrival of British troops, it is thought Samuel became a doctor for the Continental Army. The Halifax state archives list Samuel as a prisoner from 1776-1777 at Ft. Ticonderoga in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Samuel died, in 1777, at age 26, most likely from illness, malnutrition, and abuse while a captive of the British while in prison at Fort Ticonderoga. He is presumably interred in an unmarked grave outside the walls of the Fort Ticonderoga prison with the rest of the prisoners who died during captivity.

Supreme Court Justice Thomas Defends Our God-Given Rights: And Warns Of The progressivism Threat To America

During a speech commemorating the two-hundred-and-fiftieth anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas told an audience in Austin, Texas, last week that progressivism threatens America’s system of government:

Progressivism seeks to replace the basic premises of the Declaration of Independence and hence our form of government. It holds that our rights and our dignities come not from God but from government. It requires of the people a subservience and weakness incompatible with a constitution premised on the transcendent origin of our rights.

It is unfortunately rare these days to hear any public figure describe the threats of “progressivism” so clearly. At its heart, progressivism is a worldview that elevates man’s will above everything else. It assumes that if the right people — the smartest, best people — are allowed to design human systems in the correct ways, then humans will flourish. Consulting God to find correct governing solutions undermines progressives’ fundamental belief in themselves. To admit that a divine authority exists is to admit that progressivism is a pale imitation of that authority. Because progressivism presumes to be capable of acquiring all knowledge and applying that knowledge in perfect ways, it is incapable of deferring to God’s will. Progressives must replace God with themselves.

In practice, it is quite easy to see how progressives’ deification of themselves plays out in the public square. Progressives are obsessed with promoting the lie that there can be no overlap between a government official’s duties and that official’s religious convictions. They scream about the supposed inviolable “separation” of Church and State, as if the Constitution were written for a godless people and an atheistic government. The exact opposite is true.

Almost every signer of the Declaration of Independence and delegate to the Constitutional Convention was a committed and faithful Christian. In their public speeches, editorials, and recorded debates, the Founding Fathers referred to God frequently and beseeched Him to protect and guide their endeavors. The Christian churches of the colonial era shaped political discourse before, during, and after America’s War for Independence. In the years that followed, the first elected representatives appealed to Americans’ obedience to God as the thirteen original colonies worked to coalesce into one nation united by common principles and shared Christian virtues.

For progressives to deny the Christian roots of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution is to starve both documents of their vital meaning. Progressives often belittle their significance by denigrating the Founders as just a collection of dead, white men who “declared” something no longer important and “constituted” a government steeped in racism. In truth, those men declared something revolutionary: Our rights do not arise from the whims of monarchs. They come from God. And those rights belong to each and every one of us. No king, aristocrat, or petty bureaucrat can strip those rights away.

What does the Declaration declare? “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” Every man, woman, and child has rights. Those rights come from God. Progressives cannot conjure rights from thin air, nor can they deny rights that God has graciously given us. Similarly, the Preamble to the Constitution tells us how the Declaration’s principles shall be applied to the structures of government. Why did the delegates at the Constitutional Convention “ordain and establish” our system of government? To “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.” The Declaration reminds us that our liberty comes from God; the Preamble reminds us that the Constitution is legitimate only insofar as it secures God’s blessing of liberty to each of us.

Never has a nation been founded on more consequential ideas. Together, the Declaration and Constitution reject the false notion that strong, wealthy, or otherwise powerful people are entitled to decide what freedoms the rest of us may enjoy. Our Founding documents safeguard the indispensable truth that a government’s authority arises only after the people’s liberties have been secured. As Justice Thomas said last week in Texas, “Our rights and our dignity are inherent. They do not come from others, and they do not come from government. And our government derives its legitimacy and its authority from our consent.”

Justice Thomas’s truthful exposition of our rights directly threatens progressives’ beliefs. For if our rights and dignities belong to us, then progressives have no authority to take those rights and dignities from us. Furthermore, when progressives falsely claim to be empowered with the authority to dilute, diminish, or deny our rights, they simultaneously delegitimize their government offices. No matter how superior progressives believe themselves to be, they are never entitled to take from us what we have received from God.

It is easy to see why so many progressives openly mock God. He stands in the way of progressives’ pursuit of absolute power. When President Obama mocked Americans for clinging to their Bibles, he was attempting both to diminish God’s authority over all of us and to diminish the foundations for our unalienable rights. By disparaging Americans who do their best to obey God, Obama and his fellow progressives wish to sever the link between God and our liberties. Progressives wish to cloud our minds until we forget both God and the blessings He affords us. To become gods on Earth, progressives must first eliminate God.

Progressives do not hide their anti-God agenda. They are the first to criticize members of the government for invoking the will of God or praying for His guidance and protection. Progressives walk around the halls of government like anti-God fumigators seeking to eliminate His presence. In God’s place, those progressives speak reverently about “science,” “government,” and “democracy.” They treat these human disciplines as gods that must be respected and obeyed, and by doing so, elevate the authority of scientists, bureaucrats, lawmakers, and agency regulators over the rest of us.

By worshiping at the altars of “Science” and “Government,” progressives strip naked the essential meaning of the Declaration and our Constitution. They return us to the old forms of government that place monarchs and royal courts of aristocrats above everyone else. Progressives drag us back to a time when powerful government officers decided whether ordinary people would be “allowed” to exercise their God-given rights. By denying that a government’s legitimacy and authority come directly from the consent of those governed, progressives turn government into a false god and the people into serfs.

By calling out progressivism for its dogged efforts to usurp the “basic premises” of the Declaration and Constitution, Justice Thomas is warning Americans that their rights and freedoms are under attack. Should the generations alive today not recognize the threat to their inherent liberties, the generations that follow will inherit no liberties at all. The more successful that progressives are at convincing Americans to forget God, the more successful progressives will be at convincing Americans to relinquish their rights, submit to their government masters, and become slaves.

As a society, we no longer debate important ideas. We exist in an age saturated with soundbites and aspersions. Few officers of the government — and even fewer agitators in the street — are capable of stating a position clearly, providing evidentiary support for that proposition, and refuting counterarguments persuasively.

Justice Thomas is the rare exception. He is telling Americans to rise in defense of their freedoms. He is telling Americans that if they do not find the courage to do so today, then they will soon enjoy no freedoms at all. He is reminding Americans that they inherited a system of government intended to protect God-given rights. And he is urging us to protect those rights in obedience to God.

Things Get Interesting-er Both in the Middle East And Developments Back On The American Home Front

Wednesday the US / Iran ceasefire expires. It has been an interesting two weeks. The US used it to negotiate an end to hostilities, resupply our ships in the Arabian Sea, do maintenance on our ships and warplanes, dismantle Iran’s banking conduits, and blockade Hormuz to shut down the regime’s remaining income flow. The Iranians used it to jump up and down and go woo-woo-woo. They also tried to dig out the entrances of their bombed caves and tunnels to unearth whatever’s left of their hidden missile launchers. Our satellites watched everything they did and mapped the coordinates.

Negotiations? So far, not fruitful, if termination of hostilities and surrender of Iran’s uranium is the goal. We’re not even sure the Iranians we’re negotiating with have any real authority to make a deal. Iran’s government at this point is a hash of conflicting factions: the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), which is a large Jihadi mafia that happens to own half of Iran’s economy and controls its advanced missile and drone weaponry; the regular Army (Artesh) which would theoretically defend against a ground invasion, but otherwise just stands by; and the civilian government represented by President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibef — none of whom seem to hold any real decision-making power.

America’s negotiators, led by Veep Vance along with Messrs. Witkoff and Kushner, will land back in Islamabad, Pakistan, today (Monday, April 20). Our deal is still on the table. It’s pretty straightforward: the aforementioned uranium plus a twenty-year halt of nuclear activities with no path toward a weapon; full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz; an end to Iranian support for Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis; phased-out sanctions and access to frozen assets; and cessation of hostilities.

Events over the weekend argue that Iran is not finished playing stupid games and winning stupid prizes. They tried to run the Hormuz blockade on Sunday with an incoming cargo ship, the Iranian-flagged M/V Touska. The USS destroyer Spruance, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, blew a hole clean through its engine room and then seized the vessel. Its cargo remains undisclosed for now.

Iran claims that it has closed the Strait of Hormuz. The US said it was already closed via the US blockade (we closed it harder). Iran can’t surreptitiously move any oil out to sell to China or run supplies into the country. Iran will lose about $500-million a day and China will lose the majority of its oil imports. China will jump up and down and go woo-woo-woo over that, while the IRGC will lose its last remaining income stream, meaning no pay for anyone. Let’s see if that prompts an attitude change.

If Iran can’t move its oil, it will soon reach the limit of its oil storage capacity, meaning it will have to shut down its oil wells. If that happens, the hydrology is such that water invasion of the underground strata will permanently damage the oil fields. Iran is between a rock and a squishy place.

That might be enough to force a deal in the hours ahead. President Trump has made it clear that the time for Iran jerking-around the US is over. So then, it’s back to Power Station and Bridge Day (blowing them up). That would be extremely unfortunate for the ordinary Iranian people. They are unarmed and helpless to resist the maniacs of the IRGC who would allow Power Station and Bridge Day to happen, who, in effect, don’t really care about the ordinary people of Iran.

However, the regular Iranian army, the Artesh, does have weapons (they are the army and armies are generally armed). Perhaps they will use them to put the insane jihadi IRGC out of business. After all, the Artesh’s mission is defense on-the-ground of the Iranian homeland, and just now the biggest threat to Iran is the IRGC. I guess we’ll have to wait on that and watch.

Meanwhile, interesting developments back on America’s home front: All of a sudden, pieces are moving around the game-board of the ongoing and long-running color revolution that the Trump administration is trying to stop. By color revolution I mean the Democratic Party and its Deep State cadres’ efforts to transform our country into a matrix of crypto-Marxist racketeering operations — and to evade responsibility for the damage already perpetrated dating back to at least 2016.

The FBI Director, Kash Patel, said explicitly on Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday Morning news show that his agency has amassed hard evidence of fraud in the 2020 elections and to expect arrests presently. (Hmmmm, maybe not so “baseless” after all.) Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has prepared to move Colorado political prisoner Tina Peters out of the state lockup and under protection in a federal facility. It is rumored that the move is due to Ms. Peters’ imminent transformation into a witness for a federal case against Colorado election officials.

AG Blanche has also hired Joseph diGenova, former US Attorney for the DC District, as an assisting counsel to US Attorney Jason Reding Quiñones in the Southern District of Florida, who, as you know, is running a grand jury down there. Mr. diGenova, 81, has mapped the events and time-lines necessary to make a solid “grand conspiracy” case against the well-known posse of color revolutionists who perpetrated a series of hoaxes, frauds, and malicious prosecutions on our country and on thousands of innocent citizens (including the current occupant of the White House and his lawyers and associates). Like I said, things get interesting-er.

EO Medical Treatments For Serious Mental Illness, Day 63 of Democrat Shutdown, HR8322 Signed Into Law, Patriot William Dawes

On April 18, 2026, President Trump signed EO Accelerating Medical Treatments for Serious Mental Illness ordering:

Section 1 - Suicide and serious mental illness rates in America have increased tremendously. Over 14 million adults suffer from a diagnosable mental, behavioral, or emotional disorder that interferes with their life. About 8 million of them are prescribed pharmaceuticals [and according to the video below, only 20 to 30% receive any benefit from those pharmaceuticals]. Suicide rates have increased since the covid shutdown [gee, I wonder why] peaking in 2022. Veterans seem to suffer more than the general population, taking their own lives at a rate of over 6,000 Veteran suicides per year (twice the rate of the general population). Despite massive Federal monies being spent on researching treatment for mental health patients, they do nothing for the most complex cases (such as military Veterans). Therefore, innovation in treatments are needed beyond throwing pharmaceuticals at these complex cases. In other countries, psychedelic drugs, including ibogaine compounds, are showing great potential for those complex cases. This EO will accelerate innovative research models, increase access to the psychedelic drugs that have been proven in other countries to relieve the suffering of those experiencing complex cases of mental illness.

Section 2 - The FDA shall provide National Priority Vouchers for those drugs that have received a Breakthrough Therapy designation. The FDA shall facilitate and establish a pathway for eligible patients (starting with Veterans) to access these drugs to include authorizations for treating physicians and researchers and approve applicable waivers under the Controlled Substances Act.

Section 3 - HHS will use $30 million in funds from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health to support and partner with State governments enacting or developing programs that use psychedelic drugs for serious mental illnesses. These funds will be used to provide technical assistance and data sharing is expected from these States.

Section 4 - HHS and FDA will collaborate with the VA and private sector (following appropriate laws including the Privacy Act of 1974 and HIPAA of 1996) to increase clinical trial participation, data sharing, and 'real world' evidence of the efficacy of these psychedelic drugs and then prioritize those psychedelic drugs that receive a Breakthrough Therapy designation. Providing data is important enough that this section says twice that HHS, FDA, & VA will sign data-sharing memoranda specifically stating they will make this data available to the FDA to facilitate timely evaluation and approval for drugs meeting the standards set forth in the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, section 505.

Section 5 - The AG will, in consultation with HHS, initiate and complete review of Schedule I substances that have successfully completed Phase 3 clinical trials for serious mental health disorders as quickly as practicable.

The accompanying Fact Sheet President Donald J. Trump is Accelerating Medical Treatments for Serious Mental Illness explains that this EO will remove barriers to using psychedelic drugs as potential treatment for serious mental illness that does not respond to other forms of pharmaceuticals. The EO will accelerate treatment that might benefit all Americans starting with our brave military Veterans. President Trump is committed to accelerating medical treatment development, especially for our Veterans who struggle with complex, hard to treat, and even incurable diseases and mental illnesses. The President wants to see Veterans receive the care they need regardless of who or what provides it, as long as it works.

My fear about this is remembering what happened with the covid jab. They accelerated that program and many people are suffering from the lack of appropriate long-term testing as well as questionable research (everything from lack of appropriate research design to falsification of data) being pushed to make things happen that are ultimately detrimental to people. On the other hand, people are paying to go to other countries to receive treatments banned in the US but in full use elsewhere. Those people obviously find these treatments are beneficial for them and are willing to risk everything to find a treatment that works for them. This is not a paradigm we want to continue to promote. If the research is done in the US, with stringent guidelines and volunteers who are given informed consent, that will hopefully allay some of the negative issues that others have already experienced, the cost of seeking treatment outside the US, and benefit the individual. Just don't push it on everyone with mandates!

On April 18, 2026, Day 63 of the Democrat's Partial Federal Government Shutdown, Congress was off for the weekend, so nothing happened to reopen the Federal Government, fund DHS, or pass the SAVE America Act that more than 80% of the US Citizens WANT to be passed! And DHS workers have now missed over 2 months of paychecks! Could you survive without a paycheck for more than 2 months?

On April 18, 2026, the White House published the statement Congressional Bill H.R.8322 Signed into Law

HR8322 - To amend the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 to extend the authorities of title VII of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 through April 30, 2026, and for other purposes was introduced by Austin Scott (R-GA-8) on April 17, 2026. The bill had no cosponsors. This bill was passed by the House without objection on April 17, 2026, read in the Senate 3 times then passed without amendment by voice vote on April 17, 2026, and presented to the President, who signed it into law April 18, 2026. However, this bill only extends Title VII of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 until April 30, 2026. I'm thinking this takes the spying law through the end of the Iran Conflict and then Congress will pursue changes in the current FISA Act - Democrats (and the 2 Independents and 5 RINOs who consistently act like Democrats) to thwart President Trump. And who knows what the goal is of the Republicans in Congress these days.

If they can work this quickly to extend a spying bill, they can work this quickly to pass legislation that more than 80% of We The People want to see made into law, like the SAVE America Act, Ending 'Birthright' Citizenship, English as our National Language, Voting Integrity, and the like?

Today's Patriot is William Dawes Jr was born April 6, 1745 in Boston, Massachusetts, the 2nd of 11 children, 8 of whom survived to adulthood.

William was trained as a tanner, working in that profession until joining the military around 1767. William was a member of the Sons of Liberty as well as a Freemason although his Lodge is unknown.

On May 3, 1768, William married Mehitable May (1751-1793). They had 8 children, 5 of whom survived to adulthood. In 1796, William married Lydia Gendall (1762-1809). They had 1 child.

On October 28, 1767, William signed a "nonimportation agreement" promising to not buy anything imported from Britain, joining 650 Bostonians in making the pledge.

On April 8, 1768, William was elected as a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts. In 1770, he was appointed as second sergeant. The Company went dormant during the Revolutionary War.

In October, 1774, William planned and led a robbery of a gun house on the Boston Common, taking 2 small brass cannons which he hid in the schoolhouse. Two weeks later, they were removed in a wheelbarrow then hidden under a pile of coal in the blacksmith's shop. The British troops never found the cannons even though they searched the schoolhouse. On January 5, 1775, the cannons were moved to Waltham and were in active service during the Revolutionary War. William was injured during the robbery and treated by Dr Joseph Warren.

On April 18, 1775, Dr Joseph Warren learned the British troops were preparing to cross the Charles River on their way to Lexington with orders to arrest John Hancock (discussed in my July 7, 2025 ANP Article) and Samuel Adams (discussed in my September 15, 2025 ANP Article). In 1775, Boston was basically an island connected to the mainland by one strip of land. This land was guarded by British troops. Dr. Warren knew William was the man for this job as William was a militiaman and loyal patriot. Because his work as a tanner frequently took him out of Boston and onto the mainland, his was a face most of the British troops knew. Unlike his friend, Paul Revere (discussed in my April 16, 2026 ANP Article), William was known as a serious business person.

William was dispatched from Boston about an hour before Paul Revere was dispatched from Medford. There are various stories as to how William evaded the British troops guarding the land bridge from William's joining a group of British soldiers to attaching himself to another passing party to his pretending to be a drunken farmer to the simplest story that he was already known to the guards who simply let him pass. Shortly after he got past the guards, the land bridge was closed down and no others were allowed to leave Boston.

William traveled from Boston through Roxbury, Brookline, Brighton, Cambridge, and Memotomy on his way to Lexington, a journey of 17 miles that took about 3 hours. Unlike Paul Revere, he did not awaken anyone on his ride, being singularly focused on making it to Lexington to warn Adams & Hancock arriving about 1/2 hour after Revere. After a 30 minute break, William and Paul headed to Concord and Dr Samuel Prescott joined them.

When the trio was accosted by British troops, Paul was captured, Samuel jumped a stone wall, and William found a vacant farmhouse. Once inside the farmhouse, knowing he was being followed by the British troops, he loudly declared British troops were following him. The British turned away fearing they were being led into an ambush. Once the British retreated, William fell off his horse and was forced to limp into the night and into obscurity.

The Revolutionary War kicked off about dawn on April 19, 1775 (discussed in my September 27, 2025 ANP Article). William would fight in the Battle of Bunker Hill. By September 1776, he was promoted to major and worked as a quartermaster (supply).

After the war, in 1786, William accepted a position as Company Clerk in the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts when it was revived. He also went into the provisions business; but, not much is known beyond that.

William died February 25, 1799 at age 53, cause unknown, in Marlborough, Massachusetts. While it was originally though he was interred in the King's Chapel Burying Ground but later research showed his interment was in his 1st wife's family plot in Forest Hills Cemetery.

Midnight Ride Of Paul Revere, No Tax On Tips, Democrat Shutdown Day 62, Commemorating 250 Years Of The Bible In America, And More

President Trump's Presidential Actions published in the Federal Register (FR) to date:

Many of us are aware of the 1860 Poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow known as Paul Revere's Ride.

However, many of us do not know that the poem does not reflect the actual happenings surrounding this ride. Henry wrote this poem just before the US Civil War (85 years after Paul Revere went on the 'midnight ride') with an intent to calm the growing tensions of the times. While this poem did not actually calm the tensions and the US Civil War happened anyway, it did insure Paul Revere's actions prior to the battles of Concord and Lexington (discussed in my September 27, 2025 ANP Article) became part of the official history of the Revolutionary War.

Paul Revere (discussed in my April 16, 2026 ANP Article) was a member of the Sons of Liberty as well as a courier for the Boston Committee of Public Safety (interpreted as 'he was a spy').

On April 7, 1775, Paul was sent to the Massachusetts Provincial Congress (in Concord, Massachusetts) to warn the Congress that the British were getting ready to move.

On April 14, the Earl of Dartmouth ordered General Thomas Gage to disarm the rebels and imprison the leaders specifically naming Samuel Adams (discussed in my September 15, 2025 ANP Article) and John Hancock (discussed in my July 7, 2025 ANP Article). Between April 7 and April 18, Paul Revere set up the lantern alert so the rebels would know how the British troops would be approaching: one lantern if by land (headed southwest from Boston) or two lanterns if by sea (across the Charles River). The lanterns would be placed in the church steeple.

On the evening of April 18, 1775, Joseph Warren informed Paul Revere and William Dawes that the British troops were ready to embark by boat to Cambridge. The thinking was that rebel leaders in Lexington were not aware of the impending danger.

At midnight on April 18, 1775, Paul Revere, leaving from Medford, and William Dawes, leaving from Brookline, began to ride headed towards Concord alerting rebels along the route of the impending advance of the British Army by sea. Many of these rebels also rode out to warn others bringing the total number of riders that night to around 40. The 'cry' was "the regulars" not "the British" because the colonials considered themselves British and the rebels did not want to confuse the people they were trying to warn.

Outside Lexington, Samuel Prescott joined the ride. Between Lexington and Concord, Paul Revere were detained by a British Army patrol who made a roadblock to stop all traffic. Paul Revere was caught by the while Dawes & Prescott managed to escape and complete their rides. Prescott jumped a wall and made it to Concord. Dawes fell off his horse and was unable to complete the ride. Paul Revere was questioned by the patrol, then moved east toward Lexington. About 1/2 mile from Lexington, shots rang out and one of the prisoners told them the city was armed and ready and that the British Army troops holding them captive would be dead. The British Army troops took the prisoner at his word and released the captives and returned to their headquarters to warn their commanders, taking Paul Revere's horse with them. That left Paul Revere on foot as he walked to Reverend Jonas Clarke's house where John Hancock and Samuel Adams were staying. Once the battle on Lexington Green commenced at dawn, Paul Revere helped John Hancock and his family escape.

As noted in the map above, there are signs along the roadway commemorating various points along the route Paul Revere, William Dawes, and Samuel Prescott took. Paul Revere's ride is reenacted annually in Massachusetts.

On April 17, 2026, Day 62 of the Democrat's Partial Federal Government Shutdown, the Senate took a 3-day holiday. The House made a final early-morning vote (previous votes were discussed in my April 17, 2026 ANP Article) on HR1175 Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 8035) to amend the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 to extend the authorities of title VII of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 through October 20, 2027, and for other purposes that failed 197 (192 Republicans, 4 Democrats, & 1 Independent) vs 228 (208 Democrats and 20 Republicans). Then they adjourned until Monday, April 20, 2026. So, again, Congress took no steps to end the Partial Government Shutdown, fund DHS, or pass the SAVE America Act.

On April 17, 2026, the FR published the Presidential Notice Continuation of the National Emergency and of the Emergency Authority Relating to the Regulation of the Anchorage and Movement of Russian-Affiliated Vessels to United States Ports signed April 15, 2026 and sent straight to the FR for publication. This notice extends Proclamation 10371 signed April 21, 2022 authorizing the Secretary of DHS to regulate the anchorage and movement of Russian-affiliated vessels due to the continued national security threat posed the Government of the Russian Federation.

On April 17, 2026, the White House published the statement Presidential Message Commemorating 250 Years of the Bible in America sending best wishes to all those gathered at the Museum of the Bible on the National Mall as well as everyone across our great Nation participating in this week's America Reads the Bible initiative. The President writes:

As more than 70,000 American troops prepared to land on the beaches of Normandy, President Franklin D. Roosevelt took to national radio and prayed that God’s blessings prevail over “the unholy forces of our enemy.” And at the height of the Cold War and the righteous crusade that he led to defeat atheistic communism, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed 1983 to be the Year of the Bible, writing: “Of the many influences that have shaped the United States of America into a distinctive Nation and people, none may be said to be more fundamental and enduring than the Bible.”
Today, during our 250th year of American independence, the America Reads the Bible initiative invites all citizens to once again acknowledge our Nation’s extraordinary Biblical foundations and to give thanks for the countless ways in which God has been the sacred source of our unity and national strength. The closer this Iran war comes to a favorable resolution, the more garishly negative the puling Lefty-left gets, wishing fervently for the enemy to prevail. Why? Because the Lefty-left is also an enemy of our country. They want the operation to fail so they can reclaim power and resume wrecking and looting the USA.

By the way, what exactly would a favorable outcome of this war look like? An Iran that doesn’t threaten nuclear jihad and doesn’t sponsor endless terror operations here, there, and everywhere. It looks like we are going to get to that. Iran’s choice is how deep do they want to take their own economic collapse before capitulating? If they’ll just stop now, they’ll still keep the lights on. They can be a normal, modern, developed nation without a death wish.

Anyway, the paradigm Iran was operating in as a rogue state is dead, especially the malign influence of Britain’s banking and MI6 intel matrix. Britain, proven by its actions to be not a friend of America. . . Britain, a wretched little has-been island empire with bad teeth, overrun by wrathful Islamists, and, alas, soon to be a caliphate.

President Donald Trump has rearranged the geopolitical landscape with startling speed and efficacy. Much of Europe, it turns out, are not our friends, either. They would not let us use the NATO bases we pay for to conduct air operations over Iran. Hence, NATO is four dead letters. They can go dangle while they figure out how to live without oil, possibly go back to their centuries-long condition as a nonstop slaughterhouse, besetting each other with stupid, age-old feuds. Not our problem anymore.

China? Their Belt-and-Road isn’t what it was just six months ago. Mr. Trump has kicked them out of South America. Their oil supply is suddenly sketchy. Notice, they didn’t lend a hand helping to clear the Strait of Hormuz. Turned out that the radars and air defenses they gifted Iran didn’t work too well. Uncle Xi Pooh Bear will have to re-think situation.

Mr. Trump says he might travel to Pakistan this weekend if there are papers to sign with Iran. Israel and Lebanon announced a ten-day truce to sort out where things stand. Both of them want Hezbollah expelled for good. Anyway, Hezbollah can no longer enjoy financial support from Iran, meaning no more munitions or salaries for Hezbollah warriors, meaning Hezbollah is out of business — a major regional irritant neutralized. Can you dare to imagine a peaceable Middle East?

So, things have changed-up greatly in this long-volatile corner the world, and that will leave Mr. Trump freer to attend to the discord and animus at home, namely the psychopathic Democratic Party’s non-stop demolition of political norms, with assistance from the bureaucratic Deep State and the NGO underworld. Just at hand this week, we have Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard sending criminal referrals to the DOJ on two key players (both liars) in Trump Impeachment No. 1: former Intel Inspector General Michael Atkinson and CIA agent “whistleblower” Eric Ciaramella — whose name the news media still fears to speak.

That impeachment, over the so-called “Ukraine phone call,” was from start to finish a complete fake, a criminal conspiracy. It involves a much larger cast-of-characters including then House Intel Committee Chair (now senator) Adam Schiff, then Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, CIA Director Gina Haspel, Chief Justice John Roberts, and virtually the whole Kiev US embassy staff at the time. Everybody involved was lying about one thing or another. The case is on Acting AG Todd Blanche’s desk now. Do you suppose it can just sit there?

It’s rumored that in the weeks ahead, Mr. Trump is fixing to conduct a declassification orgy of evidence unearthed by DNI Gabbard in the serial seditions run by US color revolutionists over the past decade. The presidential declass will obviate the usual tedious process of extracting declass permissions from every agency silo with a stake in the documents — meaning the evidence will go straight to US attorneys, including Jason Reding Quiñones, the United States Attorney for the District of the Southern of Florida, now running a grand jury out of Fort Pierce on the RussiaGate hoax.

Many of the players in that treasonous episode were involved in subsequent crimes against the nation: the 2020 election fraud; the Jan. 6 fed-provoked “insurrection” at the US Capitol; the fake House committee set up to pretend to investigate it; the Mar-a-Lago Raid; the multiple Trump prosecutions of 2024, the censorship campaign; and the manifold perfidious turpitudes of the “Joe Biden” administration, including the massive invasion of illegal immigrants.

It’s all going to come out now in one overwhelming puke-stream channeled into actual prosecutions. Only question is: will the massive revelation of truth prompt the millions of successfully brainwashed Americans to finally get their minds right over what has been perpetrated on our country?

President Trump Speaks In Las Vegas NV, Democrats Shutdown Day 61, DC Triumphal Arch, And More

President Trump's Presidential Actions published in the Federal Register (FR) to date:

On April 16, 2026, President Trump traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada to deliver remarks on Tax Week. Las Vegas, as a 'service economy' survives on tips. When the government started taxing tips, there was much flack; however, the tax remained although loosely enforced. Forbes, in a September 30, 2024 article by Joseph Thorndike, reminds us that until 1982, there were no taxes on tips. On November 13, 1981, HR4961 - Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982, introduced by Fortney Pete Stark (D-CA-9) (of course, it was a Democrat!). The bill had 12 co-sponsors (4 Republicans and 8 Democrats). The bill was passed by both the House and Senate, and became PL 97-248 on September 3, 1982. Restaurant owners were now required to report tips. However, if the total tips did not add up to 8%, the deficiency was spread among tipped employees and reported to the IRS as if the person actually received the tip. By 1983, the tip earners deluged the IRS with angry letters claiming tips were tax-free gifts. The law was underenforced by the IRS (I suspect they did not want to deal with the backlash by the people). Ron Paul, in 2012, was first to propose no tax on tips when he ran for the Republican presidential nomination. President Trump explained that the idea for No Tax On Tips started when he was in Las Vegas and a young waitress suggested there should be no tax on tips. He thought it was a great idea and immediately told propaganda media the decision to push for No Tax On Tips. He explained:

Las Vegas is the home of the largest concentration of tipped workers anywhere in the country, anywhere in the world, actually. And thanks to our tax cuts this week, thousands of Nevada waiters, waitresses, casino dealers, bartenders, bellmen, barbers, caddies, I love those caddies. They're very good if you have the right cat. And valet receive the biggest tax refunds of their entire lives. And you see it. And I just want to say you're welcome.

He then spoke about the OBBB (an index to all the articles I wrote about every part of the OBBB is available in my August 2, 2025 ANP Article) saying it should be called the Great Big Beautiful Tax Cut Bill because the tax cuts are 'so enormous' even though the bill contains a lot of other regulations. He reminded the audience that we now have no men in women's sports, a safe border, safe communities, and lowest murder rate in 125 years. President Trump stated:

Every single American at every income level is more money in their pockets this week because of the Republican tax policies and we got to win the midterms if we don't these policies are going to be taken away from you the taxes are going to go through the roof. . . . You deserve every single penny that you're getting now because you had to suffer. You suffered. We had the highest inflation in the history of our country under Biden.

President Trump then reminded the audience that there are also no taxes on social security income for seniors as well as no tax on overtime and you can deduct the interest paid on car loans for American-made cars bought in 2025. He spoke about having no inheritance tax or death tax for farmers and their heirs. He mentioned the DoorDash delivery by Sharon Simmons (discussed in my April 14, 2026 ANP Article). He said that (and other publicity ideas like the garbage truck) was a little tacky but we do these things in politics and they're a little embarrassing but they do them anyway and win by landslides. President Trump brought up tariffs and how they are causing massive investments in manufacturing in the US. Pharmaceuticals, automobiles, and other industries are now basing manufacturing operations in the US because of tariffs. He also mentioned the DOW coming in at over $50,000 and attributed that achievement to his policies, especially tariffs. He mentioned investments in the US by UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

President Trump mentioned our having the most powerful military anywhere in the world and we're still building it. He reiterated that Iran is now allowed to have nuclear weapons. He mentioned how empty tankers are now coming to the US instead of Iran to buy crude. We spent 17 years in Vietnam, 5 years in Afghanistan, and so far, only 2 months in Iran. He explained that the conflict in Iran is causing the fake inflation of fuel prices. He spoke about how Democrats don't want to pay our ICE agents, our security people, and want an open border. He said that Democrats want higher taxes on both individuals and businesses. They want even more inflation. He mentioned that we are getting the illegals out (autopen allowed more than 25 million people into the country totally unvetted and unchecked). He spoke about school choice and making homeschooling expenditures tax deductible, the 5 million Trump Accounts that have been opened in 2025 (thanking the Dell Family for matching contributions to those accounts). He spoke about bringing made in America back.

On April 16, 2026, Day 61 of the Democrat's Partial Federal Government Shutdown, Congress did not fund DHS nor did they fully reopen the Federal government. So what did they do instead?

The Senate voted on 2 bills:

HJR140 - Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Land Management relating to Public Land Order No. 7917 for Withdrawal of Federal Lands; Cook, Lake, and Saint Louis Counties, MN introduced by Pete Stauber (R-MN-8) on January 12, 2026. The bill has 4 cosponsors (all Republican). It passed the House 214 to 208 on January 21, 2026, was sent to the Senate on January 26, 2026, and was voted upon in the Senate on April 16, 2026. The Senate passed this bill with a vote of 50 (all Republican) to 49 (45 Democrats, 2 Republicans, and 2 Independents) with 1 Republican not voting. So what was so important that this vote supersedes opening the Federal government fully, funding DHS, or passing the SAVE America Act? This act:

This joint resolution nullifies Public Land Order 7917, which withdrew approximately 225,504 acres of National Forest System lands in Cook, Lake, and Saint Louis Counties, Minnesota, from mineral and geothermal leasing for 20 years. In 2023, the Bureau of Land Management issued the order to protect and preserve the Rainy River Watershed, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness Mining Protection Area, and the 1854 Ceded Territory of the Lake Superior Chippewa from the potential adverse effects of mineral and geothermal exploration and development. The joint resolution removes such protections and allows such land to be leased for the exploration and development of minerals and geothermal energy.

PN787-1 — Andrew B. Davis — The Judiciary in which Judge Davis was nominated on January 29, 2026 for US District Judge for the Western District of Texas. The Senate agreed to the Cloture motion, in a vote of 49 (all Republican) to 48 (45 Democrats, 1 Republican, 2 Independents) with 3 Republicans not voting, to end debate and proceed to a formal vote (which was not yet taken).

The House, on the other hand, discussed then voted on the following bills (notice NONE of them reopen the Federal government or fund DHS):

HCR40 Directing the President, pursuant to section 5(c) of the War Powers Resolution, to remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities with Iran. Failed
HR965 Providing for consideration of the bill (HR1689) to require the Secretary of Homeland Security to designate Haiti for temporary protected status. Passed
HR1156 Expressing support for tax policies that support working families. Passed
HR1689 To require the Secretary of Homeland Security to designate Haiti for temporary protected status. Passed
HR6398 Reducing and Eliminating Duplicative Environmental Regulations Act or RED Tape Act. Failed on the first vote but passed on the 2nd vote.
HR6409 Foreign Emissions and Nonattainment Clarification for Economic Stability Act or FENCES Act. Failed on the first vote but passed on the 2nd vote.
HR1175 Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 8035) to amend the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 to extend the authorities of title VII of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 through October 20, 2027, and for other purposes as amended. Amendment passed 211 to 210 with 10 Representatives not voting (7 Republicans and 3 Democrats). However, once the amendment passed, the actual bill failed 200 to 220 (with 12 Republicans joining Democrats to sink the bill). After brief discussion, the House voted again, this time the vote failed 197 to 228 (with 20 Republicans joining Democrats to sink the bill). Then the House adjourned until noon on April 20, 2026 (they are giving themselves a 3-day weekend).

We are no closer now to re-opening the Federal government fully than we were on the first day of the standoff. It's like our Congressional representatives don't care that they are putting our National Security at risk.

In a White House Press Conference, Karoline Leavitt provided more details for the Arch. It will be 250 feet tall (including the statue of the winged Lady Liberty) and be placed on Columbia Island in what is currently "green space" between Arlington National Cemetery and the Lincoln Memorial. She quotes:

Great Nations build beautiful structures that cultivate National pride and love of country. . . . It is a monument for every American to celebrate 250 years of our Nation's proud history.

On April 16, 2026, the Commission of Fine Arts gave its approval for the design of the structure.

More Americans Have Come To Accept That They Must Take A 'Wait And See' Approach With The Most Unorthodox President Of Their Lifetimes

Eminently quotable writer James Howard Kunstler sized up President Trump’s play in Iran a couple months back by concluding, “The art of the deal is not for sissies.” That line aptly describes Trump’s whole presidency, doesn’t it?

Trump makes moves that scare people. Even his friends and allies require an occasional pause to digest exactly what he may or may not be planning. When he threatened to “end” Iran’s civilization, did the president mean that literally? Or was that his way of maximizing the size of the stick he held in his hands, while Pakistan played peacemaker with a ceasefire carrot? Only time will tell.

It does feel as if more Americans have come to accept that they must take a “wait and see” approach with the most unorthodox president of their lifetimes. One of the few real American journalists writing today, Salena Zito, described Trump astutely back in September 2016 when she observed, “The press takes him literally but not seriously; his supporters take him seriously but not literally.” Her insight — as succinct as it is clever — remains part of our cultural wisdom to this day.

While CNN and MS-NOW-(What’s Its Name?) suggested to their dwindling audiences that Trump was about to drop nuclear bombs on Iran last week (a country about seven times larger than the United Kingdom), most Americans with common sense understood the president to be putting maximum rhetorical pressure on the surviving members of Iran’s Islamic terrorist regime.

On the other hand, sometimes President Trump sends in Delta Force operators to black-bag narco-terrorist dictators in the middle of the night (How badly do you think Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro wishes he could go back and choose wealthy exile over solitary confinement in an American prison?). A good poker player can’t bluff all the time. Sometimes the cards have to back a confident bet.

When it comes to handling adversaries of any kind, Trump enjoys keeping everybody guessing. It makes him unpredictable. His unpredictability leaves opponents unsettled. While they’re looking left and right and turning around frenetically to see whether the president might be coming up from behind, Trump usually surprises them with a blow directly to the face.

That terrifies leaders all over the world who are not used to a street-brawler in the White House. They would much prefer an American president who carefully unclasps his Rolex watch and daintily removes his dinner jacket before making any quick moves. Instead, they get Trump — who comes out swinging, landing haymakers, throwing uppercuts, and knocking out teeth.

Having President Trump in the White House reminds me of a scene in the Winston Churchill biopic, Darkest Hour. Churchill is drinking during a working lunch with King George VI, and he tells the king that he has always been “unwanted” in parliament. “Perhaps it’s because you scare people,” the king replies. “Who?” Churchill asks. “You scare me,” the king insists. “What nonsense,” Churchill retorts, before asking, “What could possibly be scary about me?” King George VI answers directly, “One never knows what’s going to come out of your mouth next. Something that will flatter, something that will wound…”

That movie came out in 2017, in the first year of President Trump’s first term. It probably could not be made today. Firstly, as the United Kingdom turns itself into an Islamic kingdom, rejects its historical achievements, and “cancels” it great historical figures, Winston Churchill has become persona non grata in the nation he singlehandedly saved from becoming a Nazi vassal state. Secondly, a lot of people who watched that movie immediately recognized the similarities between Churchill and Trump.

The former governor of Arkansas and current U.S. ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, walked out of the theater in December 2017 and immediately made the comparison in a series of social media posts: “Churchill was hated by his own party, opposition party, and press. Feared by King as reckless, and despised for his bluntness. But unlike Neville Chamberlain, he didn’t retreat. We had a Chamberlain for 8 yrs; in @realDonaldTrump we have a Churchill.” Recommending the movie to Americans, Huckabee complimented both Churchill and Trump by arguing that this is “what real leadership looks like.”

Members of the “elite” corporate press did not like Huckabee’s comparison of former President Barack Obama to former Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain — the man whose arrogance, sense of entitlement, and fondness for appeasement betrayed his moral weakness and inability to do tough things. But those “elite” propagandists were absolutely horrified that anyone with a significant number of social media “followers” could link Churchill to Trump. People all over the world rightly remember Churchill as one of the twentieth century’s most consequential world leaders. How could anyone, Hillary-supporters complained on cable news, see that kind of greatness in Donald Trump?

Ordinary moviegoers, on the other hand, understood exactly what Huckabee was saying. Sure, Trump and Churchill have obvious differences. Churchill was a functional alcoholic; Trump has been a teetotaler all his life. Churchill spent most of his adulthood in debt and probably avoided bankruptcy only because of his celebrity; Trump is a billionaire. Churchill was married to his wife, Clemmie, for fifty-seven years; Trump has been married three times. For all their differences, though, these two men share a lot in common.

As was true of Churchill, President Trump has a larger-than-life personality that sucks up the oxygen from every room he enters. Both men changed political affiliations over the course of their lives. Churchill was comfortable insulting political foes, telling uncomfortable truths, and changing his mind whenever necessary. He frequently argued against the prevailing opinions of his time, even when doing so made him unpopular. Although, by title and privilege, Churchill was an Establishment “insider,” his independent nature, sometimes-abrasive personality, and fearless defense of controversial positions made him a consummate “outsider.” It is not difficult to see why so many people went into movie theaters to see Winston Churchill brought back to life in the Darkest Hour and exited with the realization that there was something downright Churchillian about President Trump.

Perhaps the quality that most links these two world historical figures, though, is their willingness to fight while all around them are flailing. Trump’s critics spend a lot of time accusing him of instigating chaos. But there is an undeniable consistency to the policy objectives he pursues. In his first term, he set America on a trajectory to be an energy powerhouse. While Europe commits economic suicide by refusing to develop its own natural resources in its misguided war against the weather, Trump has pursued a relentless “Drill, baby, drill” policy. He’s managed to partner with Venezuela both to enlarge America’s access to hydrocarbon energies and to block China from exploiting resources in the Western Hemisphere. With the Strait of Hormuz effectively closed and energy exports from the Middle East severely crippled, the United States and the Russian Federation are best positioned to navigate the economic consequences.

Will the energy crisis across Europe make the European Commission more or less likely to find a reasonable way to end the Russia-Ukraine War? Will the energy crisis in China provide a new incentive for Xi Jinping to help the United States bring Iran to heel? Will more people begin to realize that President Trump’s dismantling of Iran has as much to do with preparing for war with China as it has to do with establishing a new regional order in the Middle East?

Here’s the simple truth for corporate news mouthpieces too lazy or too fake to understand President Trump’s motivations: The man is always negotiating. While his adversaries scream and shake their heads, Trump is preparing for the next hostile takeover. Kunstler said it best: “The art of the deal is not for sissies.”

On April 15, 2026, aka Your Tax Return Is Due Date, the White House published the release This Tax Day, Americans Are Keeping More of What They Earn announcing that millions of Americans are seeing bigger refunds and lower tax bills. The following numbers represent those taxpayers who have filed their returns prior to today's Due Date.

The release shows the average refund is over $3,400 (11% higher than last year). At this point, 45% of filers are benefitting from at least one of the OBBB tax cuts. In addition, over 105 million Americans have claimed the double standard deduction that has simplified tax filing. Small businesses an average tax reduction of close to $7,000 in addition to the $4,600 average relief granted to 8 million small business owners. Over 34 million families have claimed the child tax credit and close to 5 million children now have Trump Accounts.

The release reminds us that EVERY Democrat in Congress voted against these tax cuts.

On April 15, 2026, the White House published the Fact Sheet First-Year Filings: Tax Cuts Mean More Money in Americans’ Pockets this Tax Season (available online as a pdf here) reiterates the information in the release above. The Fact Sheet says that Americans will see their largest refunds in history this tax period due to President Trump's OBBB.

On April 15, 2026, the White House published the White House CEQ Unveils Program to Partner with Private Sector on Modernizing Permitting Technology announcing a new program: Permitting Innovators. This program is established to create partnerships with the private sector to accelerate and modernize the Federal permitting process.

Presidential Permit: Authorizing Enbridge Energy, Limited Partnership to Operate and Maintain Existing Pipeline Facilities at St. Clair County, Michigan, at the International Boundary Between the United States and Canada supersedes and revokes the permit issued December 12, 1991.

On April 15, 2026, the Office of the First Lady published the statement First Lady Melania Trump Champions New Foster Care Legislation in Congress following the success of the TAKE IT DOWN Act (discussed in my May 20, 2025 ANP Article) and the Fostering the Future Executive Order (discussed in my September 24, 2025, October 31, 2025, November 14, 2025, March 20, 2026, and March 25, 2026 ANP Articles) the First Lady addressed the House Ways and Means Committee providing reasons for enacting bold foster care legislation. These reasons include, but are not limited to, housing instability, educational advocacy, financial barriers, transportation, continuity, and access to technology. Fostering The Future is a component of the First Lady's BE BEST initiative. Here is a transcript of the speech she gave:

Thank you, Chairman Smith, for hosting today’s critical discussion surrounding America’s foster care community. Good afternoon, Chairman LaHood and Ranking Member Davis. Your efforts to shape new legislation within your Subcommittee are of tremendous value to our nation. And to all the Representatives of this prestigious Committee who have worked so hard to introduce decisive reform within foster care, Mr. Miller, Ms. Chu, Mr. Moran, Mr. Yakym, Ms. Moore, Mr. Evans, and Mr. Carey—thank you. I would also like to extend my warm welcome to all of the Congresspeople in attendance today—your bipartisan support is appreciated. And finally, a special thank you to Jocelyn Roni Fetting and Jaydan Matinez.
We are gathered here today, not because America’s children rely on us, but rather because America’s children are our moral equals. As parents and leaders, it is our ethical obligation to ensure American children develop emotionally and physically within a safe environment. As a community, we strive to nurture our children’s curiosity, protect their innocence, and guide them with hearts full of care. Through respect, participation, and protection, American parents deliver the essentials to our next generation: housing, nutrition, clothing, and healthcare. In safeguarding our children’s well-being, we shape the integrity of our nation. But to get there, a strong knowledge base is required. Education is the cornerstone of a child’s future. Clearly, education is the foundation that can remain throughout one’s lifetime. Yes, knowledge is permanent.
In 2021, I launched Fostering the Future: a nationwide initiative to provide individuals from the foster care community with access to education at the university level. My goal is to prepare these individuals to secure entry-level jobs, become financially independent, and eventually, innovate, create new businesses, and generate employment opportunities. When I first developed Fostering the Future, one thing became very clear: the foster care community requires action over awareness. This truth stands today. I am proud to share that Fostering the Future currently maintains a footprint of over 20 Universities across the country, from coast to coast. In fact, academic institutions such as Vanderbilt University, the University of Miami, Louisiana State University (LSU), University of Virginia (UVA), the University of Texas, the Ohio State University, and the University of Alabama all educate Fostering the Future students.
Although reports vary, roughly three percent of individuals in the foster care community earned a college degree in 2025. We can close this gap. But still, foster youth face a special set of challenges outside the classroom that have a serious impact on their academic performance. These issues include housing instability, educational advocacy, financial barriers, transportation, continuity, access to technology, and other related issues.
New legislation for the foster care community is a moral imperative. Some of you joined me in the White House last November for the signing of the Fostering the Future Executive Order. And although the EO is a transformative vision, Congress now has the opportunity to create a lasting positive impact on this community.

Beginning here in this room, we can once again change people’s lives. With new legislation, we can ensure that opportunity is more than hopeful for individuals in the foster care community—it can be their birthright.

On April 15, 2026, Day 60 of the Democrat's Partial Federal Government Shutdown, Congress did not do any work to end the partial shutdown. Federal employees of DHS have now gone 60 days without a paycheck (except for those President Trump found a work-around to get paid).

The Senate voted on SJR123 - A joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against the Islamic Republic of Iran that have not been authorized by Congress introduced by Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) on March 10, 2026. The bill has 5 cosponsors (all Democrats). The vote failed 47:52 (Yeas 44 Democrats, 2 Independents and 1 Republican vs Nays 51 Republicans and 1 Democrat, 1 Republican did not vote). This is what the Senate thinks is more important than fully funding DHS, fully reopening the Federal Government, and securing our Federal elections!

The House also did not do anything to re-open the Federal Government, secure our elections, or fund DHS. What did they do instead? First they addressed 7 bills:

I don't know about you; but, I am really annoyed that Congress is NOT focusing on the things We The People want them to focus on: Opening the Federal Government, Funding DHS, and Passing the SAVE America Act!

In the lawsuit In re: Donald Trump docket # 25-5452 Appeal of 1:25-cv-00766 (discussed in my November 19, 2025 ANP Article) filed in Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on December 12, 2025 about Alien Enemies Act Deportation where the government appealed Judge Boasberg's order contempt inquiry into the Trump administration. On April 14, 2026, DC Circuit Court Judges Rao, Walker, and Childs (dissenting) ordered:

. . . the government’s right to termination of these proceedings is “clear and indisputable.” . . . In sum, the TRO did not clearly or specifically prohibit the transfer of plaintiffs. Therefore, criminal contempt cannot lie for their transfer into Salvadoran custody. . . . As these shifting and expanding proceedings demonstrate, the district court has assumed an improper jurisdiction antagonistic to the Executive Branch. Mandamus is appropriate to halt the district court’s inquest.
For the foregoing reasons, we issue the writ of mandamus to confine the district court to its lawful jurisdiction and terminate these criminal contempt proceedings.

Judge Walker adds:

Finally, a quick note about the consequences of today’s decision for any future cases: There are none. Though the dissent disagrees with the majority’s interpretation of the district court’s order, that disagreement does not turn on legal questions with enduring relevance for our jurisprudence. It turns instead on facts unique to this case, including the text of the written order and the district court’s guarantee that the written order, once issued, would be the only order the Government needed to obey (or even “to write . . . down”).

So the court shot down Boasberg's attempt to control not only what the Trump Administration can do but how they do it. Do we think Boasberg will learn from this ruling? I think not. He will continue to be the loony left activist judge we have seen from the time he was selected to oversee President Trump's various "convictions" (that need to be overturned!).

- Paul Revere

Today's Patriot is Paul Revere (Rivoire) Jr who was born December 31, 1734 (January 1, 1735 in the new calendar) in the North End, Boston of French (paternal) and English (maternal) heritage. Paul's father anglicized his name from Rivoire to Revere by 1729. Paul was 3rd of 12 children, and ultimately, the only surviving son.

In 1748, Paul stopped formal schooling to apprentice with his father in silversmithing. In 1750, he was part of the first group of 'change ringers' to ring the bells cast in 1744 for Christ Church (Old North Church) north of Boston. Because of this, he began attending the church (he was raised Calvinist) causing blows between him and his father on at least one occasion. Paul's father died in 1754; but, Paul was legally too young to be the master of the family silver ship. In 1765, Paul learned dentistry for the extra income because the Seven Years War had caused a recession and an attempt to seize his property was made. Then, the Stamp Act of 1765 caused business to decline even further.

In February 1756, Paul enlisted in the provincial army as a 2nd lieutenant at Fort William Henry, New York. After this, he returned to Boston.

On August 4, 1757, Paul Married Sarah Orne (1736-1773). They had 8 children, 6 who survived to adulthood. On October 10, 1773, 5 months after Sarah died, Paul immediately married Rachel Walker (1745-1813). They, too, had 8 children, 5 of whom survived to adulthood.

On September 9, 1760, Paul became a Freemason member of Lodge St Andrews No 81 in Boston. In 1769, he is recorded as being the Lodge Secretary. He was Grand Master from 1795 to 1797. On July 4, 1795, Paul, along with Governor Samuel Adams and Deputy Grand Master Colonel William Scollay, buried a box of commemorative items under the cornerstone of the Massachusetts State House.

Paul became a member of the Sons of Liberty (discussed in my March 25, 2026 ANP Article) in 1765. He contributed engravings and other artifacts with political themes to the cause. Paul engraved his interpretation of Henry Pelham's Boston Massacre drawing (without permission). Paul did the engraving but it was colored and sold by others. When Henry discovered Paul had done an engraving without permission, he wrote Paul a letter hoping Paul would see how his actions were dishonorable.

Paul participated in the Boston Tea Party, first as a watcher to make sure the Dartmouth could not unload the tea, then as a participant to dump the tea into the Harbor.

From November 1773 to December 1775, Paul was a courier (intelligence agent) for the Boston Committee of Public Safety. In this position, he traveled to New York and Philadelphia at least 18 times. Paul's cousin shared with him in 1774 that he had seen Paul identified as an "express" (courier) in the London newspapers.

In 1774, when General Thomas Gage dissolved the provincial assembly, closed the port of Boston, and forced private citizens to open their homes to British soldiers, Paul joined a group of 30 "mechanics" (aka liberty boys) (labeled by the CIA as a spy ring) who met at the Green Dragon Tavern. This group monitored the movements of British soldiers.

In December 1774, Paul heard rumors that the British were going to land some troops in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He rode to Portsmouth but found the rumors were false. However, the ride sparked rebels to successfully raid Fort William and Mary, taking their gunpowder supply as it was guarded by just 6 soldiers.

On April 18, 1775, Paul took his "midnight ride" to alert the minutemen of the approach of British troops prior to the battles of Lexington and Concord. This act played a crucial role in the Revolution.

Paul attempted to join the Continental Army but was denied a commission. The provincial congress retained him as a courier. He also engraved plates for the printing of local currency for the congress which was used to pay local troops. He discovered how to produce gunpowder, setting up a powder mill at Stoughton (Canton) for the cause.

Paul's friend, Joseph Warren, was killed in the Battle of Bunker Hill and buried in an unmarked, mass grave. After the British left Boston, Paul and Joseph's brothers went to the battlefield and found a grave with 2 bodies. While the bodies were unrecognizable, Paul was able to determine which one was Joseph by the dental work Paul had done years earlier, as Paul was able to identify the wire (making him the first to use forensic dentistry) he used to set the tooth. Joseph was moved to a marked grave and given a proper funeral.

After the war, Paul became interested in working with metals beyond silver and gold. He opened an iron foundry creating cast iron products. With the opening of the foundry, Paul found he needed to transition from the 'apprentice' employee model to the 'skilled worker' employee model. Paul crafted a system that blended the two successfully. His works led to the standardization of production in American silversmithing.

In 1792, Paul became known for his ability to cast church bells, casting the first bell made in Boston. In 1794, he learned to cast brass cannons for sale to the federal & state governments (who, even back then, were slow in paying their debt) and private clients. By 1795, he expanded into copper (bolts, spikes, and other fittings) for ship construction. In 1801, Paul opened North America's first copper mill. Copper produced in his mill was used in the Massachusetts State House to cover the original wooden dome. Ultimately, all these works merged into Revere Copper and Brass, Inc.

Paul became a Federalist because Alexander Hamilton's national policies agreed with Paul's notions of what should happen. He was particularly interested in protective tariffs, sending a petition to Congress in 1808 asking for tariff protection for his copper business. Paul retired in 1811 but remained active in political discussions.

Paul died from natural causes on May 10, 1818 at age 83, at his home on Charter Street, Boston, Massachusetts. He is interred in the Granary Burying Ground on Tremont Street, Boston, Massachusetts.

On April 14, 2026, the White House published the release President Trump’s Powerful Leadership Highlights American Strength as Energy Dominance Delivers Global Stability describing how the US Naval blockade in the Straight of Hormuz has redirected empty tankers to US soil to fill up with US energy exports. There are currently 103 empty tanker vessels headed to the US, with 54 of them capable of carrying about 2 million barrels each. Of these, 20 are flying under European flags and another 20 are flying under Asian flags.

This shift has shattered US production records to the point the US is producing more oil that Saudi Arabia and Russia combines and more natural gas than Russia, Iran, and China combined. The US is now the undisputed global energy leader (at least until the straight reopens). The release concludes:

President Trump’s energy dominance agenda is more than policy; it is American strength. While adversaries weaponize energy, America delivers it.

The numbers above have been updated by RealAmericasVoice to reflect now 121 empty oil tankers of which 68 are capable of carrying about 2 million barrels each as shown in the video below.

On April 14, 2026, the White House published the release Bigger Refunds, Job Growth: Working Families Tax Cuts Are Transforming Tax Season announcing that Americans are seeing greater tax refunds due to Trump's OBBB. The release cites families and workers who have seen increases in their tax refunds (including service workers who rely on tips, new vehicle purchasers, and seniors). I have to admit that I thought the OBBB would not have an effect on my return. I was wrong. Because of the Senior deduction, I received a refund of more than twice what I have received in prior years. The release also states that small businesses are benefitting, enabling them to expand their businesses and hire more workers. The release concludes:

President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts are delivering bigger refunds, stronger families, and a more prosperous America. This is what putting American families first looks like.

On April 14, 2026, Day 59 of the Democrat's Partial Federal Government Shutdown, both the House and the Senate were back in session; however, NOTHING was done to end the Democrat's Partial Federal Government Shutdown (i.e., lack of funding for DHS over Democrat's desire to keep illegal aliens within the United States, draining our social service resources and voting in our elections). So what did they do instead?

On April 13, 2026, the Senate voted 53:46 to pass PN787-3 — John Thomas Shepherd — The Judiciary (PN stands for Presidential Nomination) and voted 53:47 to pass PN787-5 — Christopher R. Wolfe — The Judiciary. The Senate convened at 3pm and adjourned at 6:32pm. The minutes from the April 14, 2026 meeting are not yet available online.

The House, on the other hand, met from noon until 9:22:48pm with their next meeting scheduled for 10am April 15, 2026. They looked at 16 bills:

In the lawsuit Tincher v. Noem docket # 0:25-cv-04669 (discussed in my January 31, 2026 ANP Article) filed in District Court, D. Minnesota on December 17, 2025 about Operation Metro Surge where Minnesota residents sued the Trump administration over the surge in federal immigration enforcement and actions from federal agents against protestors and observers. On April 8, 2026, Judge Katherine Menendez made the following order:

Plaintiffs’ Motion to Dissolve the Preliminary Injunction (Dkt. 276) is GRANTED.
The Court’s January 16, 2026 Preliminary Injunction (Dkt. 85) is DISSOLVED as moot.

Basically, because the operation was short-term and has already ended, the lawsuit became moot. Should another operation be conducted, they would have to file all over again.

On April 14, 2026, the Office of the First Lady published the statement First Lady Melania Trump Authorizes Landmark Art Loan to Spotlight American Master, James McNeill Whistler sharing Whistler's masterpiece, Nocturne through an international loan to both Tate Britain and the Van Gogh Museum for a retrospective of Whistler's works that will launch in London, Amsterdam, and Washington, DC, in May 2026. The masterpiece will be returned to the White House Collection in summer 2027. The masterpiece currently resides in the Treaty Room of the White House.

Democrat California Rep. Eric Swalwell Announced His Resignation From Congress On Monday Amid Multiple Sexual Assault Allegations

Democratic California Rep. Eric Swalwell announced his resignation from Congress on Monday, citing mounting pressure, public scrutiny, and the need to uphold accountability amid controversy.

Swalwell’s political bid unraveled rapidly after several women came forward with accusations of sexual misconduct, including a former staff member who alleged he initiated intimate contact when she was incapable of giving consent. Swalwell took to social media to issue a statement acknowledging past mistakes while firmly rejecting the allegations against him.

“I am deeply sorry to my family, staff, and constituents for mistakes in judgment I’ve made in my past. I will fight the serious, false allegation made against me. However, I must take responsibility and ownership for the mistakes I did make. I am aware of efforts to bring an immediate expulsion vote against me and other members,” Swalwell wrote. “Expelling anyone in Congress without due process, within days of an allegation being made, is wrong. But it’s also wrong for my constituents to have me distracted from my duties. Therefore, I plan to resign my seat in Congress.”

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office confirmed Saturday that it has opened an inquiry into a sexual assault allegation involving Swalwell, tied to an encounter following a 2024 charity event where a former staffer told CNN she had been intoxicated and awoke to find him in bed with her, claiming she resisted and told him to stop but he did not. In a separate claim reported by the San Francisco Chronicle, the same woman alleged she had previously woken up unclothed beside Swalwell in his hotel room in September 2019 while working in his district office.

Several members of the Democratic Party publicly urged Swalwell to withdraw from his campaign for governor of California. In 2023, then–House Speaker Kevin McCarthy removed Swalwell from the House Intelligence Committee over concerns surrounding an alleged relationship with Christine Fang, who was reported to have ties to China’s Ministry of State Security. Swalwell has denied having such a relationship.

Swalwell suspended his campaign for California governor on Sunday evening, announcing the decision in a post on X and noting he was stepping back from the race to replace Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom. Swalwell said he took responsibility for past mistakes in judgment, expressed regret to his family, staff, and supporters, and stated he would continue to contest what he described as serious and false allegations.

2026 Economic Report Released, Days of Remembrance, Democrat Shutdown Day 58, America 250: Birthday of Thomas Jefferson, And More

On April 13, 2026, the White House published 2026 Economic Report of the President Released (available for download here as a pdf). The 450 page report is divided into 14 chapters, each taking on one aspect of the economy (each chapter is linked to its beginning page in the overall report) and the document summarizes each chapter as follows:

Chapter 1: The Economic and Fiscal Benefits of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act provides estimates for the economic and fiscal impact of the OBBBA, including on GDP, wages, and debt;
Chapter 2: Promoting Prosperity through Regulatory Reform measures the cost of regulations and estimates the savings from deregulatory reforms undertaken by the Trump Administration;
Chapter 3: Rebuilding America’s International Trade Policy articulates the economic framework underpinning the Trump Administration’s America First trade policy and its early successes;
Chapter 4: Achieving Energy Dominance to Power American Prosperity shows how unleashing American energy will boost growth and enhance national and economic security;

Chapter 9: Work Means More than Making a Living evaluates the role of work in human flourishing along with current and prospective Trump Administration actions to elevate workers through reforms to the safety net, workforce training, childcare, and the tax code;
Chapter 10: the Economic Consequences of DEI quantifies the GDP cost of distortive, non-merit-based, DEI hiring;
Chapter 11: Making America Healthy by Unleashing Competition in Physicians’ Markets looks at Trump Administration’s achievements that improve Americans’ access to healthcare providers;
Chapter 12: Unlocking Retail Access to Private Equity Investments through Defined Contribution Plans analyzes the implications of expanding access to private equity investments for millions of Americans through their defined contribution retirement plans, including effects on portfolio diversification, risk-adjusted returns, retirement income, and broader capital market and real economy outcomes;
Chapter 13: The Cost of Capital Misallocation to ESG Investments with an Environmental Focus quantifies the extent of capital misallocation to environmentally-focused ESG investments and the resulting loss of GDP; and
Chapter 14: The Year in Review and the Years Ahead explains the macroeconomic events of this past year and provides a forecast for the years to come under the Administration’s proposed policies.

This report is compiled by the Council of Economic Advisers. This Council was established in 1946 to provide the following to the President:

assistance and advice in the preparation of the Economic Report;
gathering timely and authoritative information concerning economic developments and economic trends, both current and prospective, to analyze and interpret such information in the light of the policy declared in section 2 for the purpose of determining whether such developments and trends are interfering, or are likely to interfere, with the achievement of such policy, and to compile and submit to the President studies relating to such developments and trends;
appraising the various programs and activities of the Federal Government in the light of the policy declared in section 2 for the purpose of determining the extent to which such programs and activities are contributing, and the extent to which they are not contributing, to the achievement of such policy, and to make recommendations to the President with respect thereto;
developing and recommending national economic policies to foster and promote free competitive enterprise, to avoid economic fluctuations or to diminish the effects thereof, and to maintain employment, production, and purchasing power;
making and furnishing studies, reports, and recommendations with respect to matters of Federal economic policy and legislation as the President may request.

On April 13, 2026, the White House published President Trump Champions the American Worker explaining how the OBBB (No Tax on Tips, Overtime, or Car Interest discussed in my July 14, 2025 ANP Article) is providing historic tax relief to American families. Sharon Simmons, a DoorDash driver, was able to make $11,000 in tips tax free this tax year. This has been a very timely savings for Sharon and her family as her husband had to reduce his work hours due to scheduling of his cancer treatments. Sharon is but one example of how millions of Americans are seeing tax relief this tax season due to President Trump's OBBB.

On April 13, 2026, the White House published Presidential Message on the Days of Remembrance of Victims of the Holocaust remembering the millions of innocent lives taken during WWII in Nazi Germany. President Trump writes:

On Yom HaShoah, we recall the horrors Nazi Germany inflicted across Europe during the harrowing years of the Second World War, where men, women, and children of many backgrounds were subjected to vicious acts of persecution, degradation, and death by methods beyond comprehension. Yet, in the midst of this unfathomable darkness, the resilience of the human spirit endured.
From the outset of my Administration, I have taken decisive action to defend the God-given worth of every human being. The Senate met for 3 hours and 32 minutes, accomplishing the following:

Cloture Motion (a vote to decide if they were ready to vote on the bill) PN787-3 - Nomination of John Thomas Shepherd, of Arkansas, to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas, vice Susan Owens Hickey, retiring passed 50:44. So, they will, in the future, vote on actually passing the nomination at a later date.

Neither part of Congress accomplished anything with the SAVE America Act.

Neither part of Congress accomplished anything towards end the Democrat's Partial Federal Government Shutdown, meaning that DHS employees are now entering day 59 of working without a paycheck and the Democrat's endangering US National Security.

On April 13, 2026, the White House announced Congressional Bills S. 1884 and S. 3971 Signed into Law

S1774 - Holocaust Expropriated Art Recovery Act of 2025 was introduced by John Cornyn (R-TX) on June 22, 2025. This bill had 21 co-sponsors (10 Republicans and 11 Democrats). The bill is summarized as follows:

This bill permanently extends and expands judicial authority under the Holocaust Expropriated Art Recovery Act of 2016. The law allows and establishes procedures for civil claims and causes of action to recover artwork and other property lost between 1933 and 1945 because of Nazi persecution.
Among the changes, the bill removes the deadline for filing civil claims or causes of action. Currently, the filing deadline is December 31, 2026. (Claims must still be filed within six years of the claimant's discovery of the property in question.)
The bill permits courts to exercise jurisdiction over civil claims or causes of action against a foreign state without regard to the nationality or citizenship of the alleged victim. The art or property at issue must still have a connection to the foreign state's commercial activities in the United States.
Additionally, the bill authorizes nationwide service of process, which allows courts to exercise personal jurisdiction over defendants in any judicial district where they may be found, reside, have an agent, or transact business.
Finally, the bill limits the defenses that may be asserted against civil claims or causes of action, including by prohibiting

defenses based on the passage of time, including equitable defenses such as laches (i.e., unreasonable delays); and
discretionary bases for dismissal that are unrelated to the merits of the claim, including international comity (i.e., deference to the laws of other countries).

These changes apply to pending and future civil claims or causes of action.

S3971 - Small Business Innovation and Economic Security Act was introduced by John Ernst (R-IA) on March 3, 2026. There was 1 co-sponsor of this bill (a Democrat). The bill is summarized as follows:

This bill reauthorizes through FY2031 and modifies the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program, and related pilot programs. (The SBIR and STTR programs are administered by various federal agencies and provide competitive awards for domestic small businesses to conduct research and development projects that have the potential for commercialization.)
Specifically, the bill expands the requirements for federal agencies administering these programs to evaluate the security risks of the small businesses that apply for awards under the programs. If an agency denies an application for security reasons, the agency must provide the small business with the basis for such determination.
Further, each agency must set a maximum number of proposals per fiscal year that a small business concern may submit in response to Phase I and Phase II solicitations.
The bill expands the training requirements for agencies' contracting officers and acquisition workforce with respect to Phase III (commercialization of technologies) awards under the SBIR and STTR programs.
The bill also establishes strategic breakthrough allocations for critical technology areas. These are additional Phase II SBIR and STTR awards to small businesses that demonstrate an effective technology and receive matching funds.

It is very interesting that the SAVE America Act has not yet passed; but, President Trump is still signing bills into law after saying he would not sign any bill into law until the SAVE America Act was passed (discussed in my March 10, 2026 ANP Article). These were the 5th & 6th bills President Trump has signed into law since he said he would not sign any more bills into law until the SAVE America Act was passed. The first 4 bills signed into law after making the statement were: S4138 (discussed in my March 21, 2026 ANP Article) and HR3377, HR7194, HR7211 (discussed in my March 27, 2026 ANP Article).

It is also interesting that S3971 was introduced, discussed, voted upon, passed, sent to the House, introduced, discussed, voted upon, passed, and sent to the President while the Senate was NOT debating, voting on, and passing the SAVE America Act.
