Fun at the park

Went to the park with William the other day. He loves the slide and those shoes grandma got him are extra grippy. He took over the slide. Climb up. Slide down. Climb up. Slide down.

Here’s a video of it. Shot with my new Lumix ZS-7 point and shoot. Not bad eh!?

Team Brazil soccer outfit

Went out shopping with William today. He was wearing his new Team Brazil soccer outfit I picked up in Hong Kong and his brand new New Balance runners from grandma!

William was very interested in the giant sale signs in the store. He even took down one of the giant 50% off sign from the window!

50% off! Any takers?

After shopping, it was off to lunch at Costco! They have yummy hot dogs there!

It was William’s birthday yesterday!

For his birthday, William celebrated with a mini cheese cake. William, however, was not too keen on his cake and only took a few bites. Mom also put up a giant birthday banner for him on the wall.

Birthday gifts included a Cozy Coupe® 30th Anniversary Edition ride on car from mom, Alpaca bear, socks, toque and colouring pages from aunt Darlene and a Deluxe Shopping Cart from uncle Daniel.

The first year certainly went fast, but it was also a lot of work, mostly on mom’s part. Here are some photos from the past year.

First Year, First Car!

William is turning one this week and we are all very excited about it!

Mom bought William Little Tikes‘ Cozy Coupe® 30th Anniversary Edition ride on car for his birthday. According to mom, it is “the must have” toy for modern day babies.

A big thank you to uncle Daniel for assembling the coupe! William was so excited about his new car that he did not go to bed until well past 10 pm!

I’ve included some photos below. For some reason, William likes to Blackberry while he’s in his car. I wonder where he got that from…

Swing

Spring has finally arrived and that means it’s time to play outside!

With the warmer weather, we have been taking William out to the park across the street. Last week, he tried the swing for the first time. At first, he wasn’t too sure about it, but after a few times, he started to love it!

New video! The music in this video is one of my favourite jingles from Vitasoy. It was the Chinese version that I grew up with back in the 80s.

I stumbled across the English version online the other day and decided to make a video with it.

Baby’s First Word

William has never been at a loss for words…or sounds, at least. As a wee one, when he cried he CRIED. He cries much much less these days. Now, we hear laughs, giggles, and screams of delight. And sweet baby whispers. William has sounded “ba ba ba”, “ma ma ma”, and “da da da”. Sometimes, he can even speak in complete perspicacious baby sentences.

Yesterday, William said, or rather shouted, his very first word — and whispered it again this morning. William’s first word… “Daddy”. We love you.
