Join us for a special night of vibrant a cappella music and help support the vital humanitarian work of the Asylum Seekers Centre NSW (ASC NSW).

The Spooky Men's Chorale is a vast, rumbling, steam powered, black-clad behemoth, seemingly accidentally capable of rendering audiences moist eyed with mute appreciation or haplessly gurgling with merriment. Based on the twin pillars of grand foolishness and the quest for the perfect subwoofer-rattling boofchord, the Spooky Men seek to commentate on the absurdity and grandeur of the modern male, armed only with their voices, a sly collection of hats and a staggering diversity of facial hair configurations.

Voices from the Vacant Lot have been performing across Australia and overseas for over twenty years. Our repertoire includes world music and original compositions occasionally accompanied with percussion and eclectic instruments. Our performances are described as energetic, fun and joyful. We keenly support social justice causes and we enjoy singing about the issues that concern us: land rights, community, life and justice. We view music as a force for the empowerment of all people.

Basses and Tenors Wanted

TENORS & BASSES: Do you long to sing with a talented, respected and dynamic choir? Voices from the Vacant Lot have been performing across Australia and overseas for over twenty years. Our repertoire includes world music and original compositions and some percussion. Our performances are described as energetic, fun and joyful.

We keenly support social justice causes and we enjoy singing about the issues that concern us: land rights, community, life and justice. We view music as a force for the empowerment of all people.

We are looking for committed basses and tenors with singing and performing experience. An ability to read music is preferable. No audition necessary. Call Michelle on 0410 340 412 or 9698 2227 or Jessica on 0401 879 459.
