HENDERSON TO HOST 10th ANNUAL OFF-ROAD RACE, DECEMBER 2-3

For the 10th straight year, thousands of off-road enthusiasts will gather in Henderson for the TransWest Ford Henderson 250 Desert Race. Just one of many championship sporting events hosted in the premier destination, the annual Best In The Desert sanctioned competition is scheduled for December 2-3, 2011. It will attract over 20,000 people from states such as Utah, California, Arizona and New Mexico to Southern Nevada to experience incredible off-road racing action. Miranda Cosgrove, star of Nickelodeon�s iCarly, has cancelled the remaining dates of her Dancing Crazy Summer Tour, which includes her Friday, September 16 appearance at the Henderson Pavilion, to take time to properly recover from a broken ankle suffered last week when her tour bus was involved in an accident, per doctor�s orders.

HENDERSON PAVILION HITS RECORD-BREAKING ATTENDANCE WITH THE SYMPHONIC ROCK SHOW

The Henderson Pavilion reached another milestone, not only selling out, but setting a new attendance record with The Symphonic Rock Show on Saturday, June 18. For the second consecutive year, the City of Henderson will host its Independence Day Celebration at the Basic High School football field, 400 N. Palo Verde Drive, Monday, July 4 from 6 p.m. � 9 p.m. The event will feature live entertainment and an 18-minute fireworks show by Lantis, which begins at 9 p.m. Admission is complimentary.

AFTER 14 YEARS, BRODY DOLYNIUK SAYING GOODBYE YELLOW BRICK ROAD

It�s an end of an era for Yellow Brick Road fans. After 14 years fronting the classic rock band, lead vocalist Brody Dolyniuk announced his final performance will be The Symphonic Rock Show, Saturday, June 18 at 8 p.m. at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway. He�s leaving Yellow Brick Road to pursue other musical opportunities.

MARTHA DAVIS STILL ROCKS WITH THE MOTELS

Turning 60 this year hasn�t stopped Martha Davis from rockin� the stage! Next month, she will join her band, The Motels, in Henderson for a special concert at the city�s signature cultural arts series, ArtBeat presented by Target. The group will perform songs from the �80s including mega hits, �Only the Lonely,� �Suddenly Las Summer� and �Remember the Nights� on Friday, June 17 at 8 p.m. at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Southern Nevada�s largest car show is now accepting applications for car participants. The 12th annual Super Run Classic Car Show is scheduled for September 22-25, 2011 in Henderson, Nevada.
