I jokingly refer to this as the $200 card, because if you don’t own any punches, well, that’s the tab for all your punches (and I’m happy to take your order, LOL!). I’m not sure that SU carries all these punches now, though.

PUNCHES:  1 3/4 inch jumbo circle, 1/2 inch circle, Wide Oval, Large Oval, Small Oval, Word Window, Curly Label.  The ‘antlers’ are actually the Sizzix Sizzlits die ‘Swirls Scribbles’ (#113411), but if you don’t have that, you can also use parts of the Sizzix Decorative Strip die ‘Swirly’ or parts of the Bigz Die ‘Tulipe.’  I like the ‘Swirls Scribbles’ one the best. Search my online store for the currently available punches, but a lot of them aren’t offered through SU anymore–but you may have them on hand or are easily found online!

I used Whisper White, Creamy Caramel, Real Red, Basic Black and Chocolate Chip cardstock and the greeting was stamped in Black, featuring an older holiday greetings set.

The ‘book’ is actually the curly label punch folded in half and the top & bottom cut off on a diagonal (see fig. 3).   Okay, who needs all the punches?  Step right up… no waiting!

I was devastated that they discontinued ALL the current Scrappin’ Memories kits, I had hoped that it would be my “Over the Top” swap at Convention (I will be posting the paper pins I made soon)!  Remember all of the current Scrappin’ Memories kits are only available until Saturday, so don’t delay! 

This flip book  is one of the ongoing classes that I offer at the ScrappingGetaways.com event in Philadelphia quarterly.  The next all-weekend ScrappingGetaway is on November 14, 15, & 16.  You can register for a day or the weekend or just show up for my make & takes and “Class on Demand” (READ: I’m sitting there bored, so sit down and do the class, LOL!), I don’t have a schedule, I’m there all weekend goofing off working very hard to represent Stampin’ Up! in a professional manner

Yes, it's that time of the year again! Again, I've taken photos of the Stampin' Up! displays (there are about 500 of them in this gallery!) Click on the first thumbnail and clicking on it brings on the next photo. There are about 50 per page, so prepare to be here awhile!

In each frame, I focused on 2-6 samples or in many cases 1 so that you can view the detail easily. I've paid special attention to the company made board as well as the Artisan Showcase. Crazy talented people out there!

I’m on a roll, sharing the ‘By The Tide’ Stampin’ Up! Set. And I have to admit that I took some flack over this card at the festival that I featured it at, people didn’t really think that the shabby chic really went with lobster. Or maybe I missed the mark on the definition of ‘shabby chic’? Oh well.

And the most DIFFICULT thing to find was the cotton gauze–apparently the stuff I had in my medicine closet is the old style–now it is all stretchy type that doesn’t fray… I went nuts looking for it. Ended up going to a hospital supply store and having to by a roll of like 500 yards of it, LOL!  You guys can appreciate going to stores and trying to explain that ‘well, I’m not really using it for wound dressing, I just wanted the stuff that frayed…‘ oh yeah, get her a rubber padded room (stat).

Anyway, I’ve included my step by step photo instructions (warning: don’t download it if you don’t like it, LOL!). You can view the stamp set here.

What can I say? I’ll let you decide. Hit or miss? My fate is in your hands.

I will truly miss this set Nature Walk (wood / clear) when the current 2012-13 Stampin’ Up! catalog EXPIRES this Friday, May 31st!

I made this little ensemble last year as a gift set for my wonderful hostesses. The detail on this fabulous botanical set is amazing. I would love more of this type of ‘artistic’ rubber stamp sets–and I look forward to sharing the new catalog with you guys!

The ‘Word Play‘ set is truly one of the most amazingly versatile sets in the catalog. The discontinuing list is coming and I can only hope this is not on it! Stampin’ Up! seemed to be giving away the silver glimmer paper with each order for awhile (to celebrate their 25th anniversary this year) and I am LOVING IT!

This card was so simply made and one of the Stampapalooza cards we will be making this Friday evening!

I’ve gotten a bunch of questions about how I did this, so here are some step-by-step photos:

It has been a long time since I’ve gone to a wedding shower… and somehow I’ve gone from one of the excited young women in the wedding party (or friend of the bride) to one of the old lady invites–friend of the parents! The young bride is just a sweet and beautiful girl and it seems like yesterday that she was in high school. I wanted to make a special card for her and it has been a very long time since I’ve sat down and actually made a card for an occasion. It was a very nice feeling when she announced–‘Oh this has to be from Amy’ when she pulled the card out of the gift bag [warm fuzzy feeling–card was appreciated]!

So, I finally got to use my ‘All Dressed Up’ framelits dies!  You can see below the one that is the ‘form’ (neck/shoulders/body with ‘stand’–cut out of Naturals Ivory paper) and the other for the actual dress (in white and embossed) and that I added two of the lace doilies for the skirt that are a special order item in the Occasions Catalog. And of course lots and lots of Pearls!!! In fact the necklace was made with the pearl strips that are all attached. I cut a strip of 5 pearls and easily peeled and pressed them on!

The Sizzix textured embossing folders used were the ‘Vintage Wallpaper‘ and ‘Perfect Polka Dots‘ as well as the Apothecary Accents framelits (for the opening).

I rediscovered my ‘pearl,’ i.e., what Stampin’ Up! is is for me–which is the wonderful friends that I have made through my association with Stampin’ Up!

And thank you to all you ladies who recognized me and let me photograph the displays in a crowd because you know that I’ll share them!
