Mark and Laurie recently tied the knot at the beautiful Gold Hill Gardens in New Castle. It was the loveliest day celebrating with friends and family tucked under big whimsical trees and twinkle lights. We are so happy for Mark and Laurie and loved being a part of their amazing day.

We are so excited for our friends, Mark and Laurie, who are tying the knot in a few short weeks. There is something so beautiful about watching your friends fall in love right before your eyes and then celebrate with them through taking their engagement photos. My heart was literally melting during this session. Yeah, we are big saps when it comes to weddings. We love watching our friends fall in love and we love making new friends who we get to play such a big part of their story of love. We love love. And we love these two. We met up with Devon and Jessica at Folsom Lake for a session that is so near and dear to my heart. Jessica was one of my former junior high students back in the day and she is now all grown up and soon to marry her best friend. Sweet little Elizabeth turns one this summer and we got the joy of capturing this special age in her life behind our cameras. With a birthday right near the Fourth of July, we set up an adorably patriotic setting in the park for her to giggle, play tea party, read her favorite books, and devour her first giant cupcake! Our sweet baby nephew Camden was born last week and at just five days old we had the privilege of capturing all his cute newborn squishyness in photos! This was our first newborn session and it was so much fun! We have always had a soft spot for engagement sessions and capturing two people who have fallen in love. But photographing a sweet family surrounded around the birth of a new baby caught our photography hearts in a whole new way. We are consistently blessed at capturing a moment in time through photos and are overjoyed to share these special ones with you today!

We recently met up with the Puett family on a beautiful spring evening to take their family photos. This family is one we have known for awhile and it is always such a sweet moment to see parents with their children and grandchildren. Something about three generations of family is always such a gift to capture in photos. We feel privileged to document this moment in their family history. Plus running around fields of trees and water fountains with two adorable little ones is always fun as well!

Besides meeting cute babies and watching two people in love tie the knot, we have really enjoyed meeting many local entrepreneurs in need of professional head shots. They are simple sessions with just a few backdrops and poses but they speak volumes about the person as a professional. Behind these photos I see people of hard work and big dreams. We meet professionals who are showing boldness and courage in taking their business to the next level. We are just pleased to be a part of their exciting journey.

In between rain storms this week, we met up with Alex Mackey to take a few photos for his real estate business. We loved hearing about Alex's six years in his career and are excited for how he will continue to make his mark in our local neighborhood as he helps people fulfill their dream of buying a home.

We had the pleasure of taking head shot photos for the author, Patrick O'Bryon, and his new book Corridor of Darkness. The book is based upon journals of his late father who witnessed first hand the rise of Nazism in 1930's Germany. He takes readers through the dangers his father faced and the courage he demonstrated, a prelude to his work in espionage during the war.

Not only are we excited for Patrick and his work but we are ecstatic to see our photography published in his book (and on his Amazon author page)! Congratulations Patrick and thank you for making a little dream of ours come true as well!
