Here is another one, this one was inspired by Ghost In Shell. I was so amazed with the animation, but it was not so fluent in the anime, so I decided to put it altogether in one piece and mix it with my favorite DJ Sashas song.

1. Kliknite na link “Create a filter” odmah pored “Search the web” dugmeta

3. Otkačite “skip the inbox” i “apply the label” i iz padajućeg menija kliknite na “new label” i stavite ime koje želite, ja sam stavio Buzz

Almost three years ago Vista came out, and there was very big NO from all the users of than popular XP. Now three years later, we are facing new OS called Windows 7, and everyone is excited and cannot wait to give Microsoft their money for it. So what is the catch?

I was following the development of Vista when it was in early beta, through RCs and when it RTMed and was finally done, I switched to it. When I first saw the flip-3D and task-bar thumbnail preview, I was thinking, wow, if this is in beta, what will it be in RTM. But Microsoft was under great pressure from hardware industry. They had to make x64 windows, to satisfy the market. Because at that time AMD and Intel were in some kind of cold war. AMD first made the x64 CPU with possibility to execute x86 applications. And that was the great jump for them. Intel, as a more powerful company (I mean, they have more money to invest), very soon released the same thing. Than the war started, and it was looking as the AMD will win. But you all know the results. Let`s get back to MS and Vista. MS has released the first aid XP x64 that I think was not popular at all. And then few years later, Vista came out. Everyone was talking about x64, many new blogs and website was writing if it is better to switch to x64 or not, and so on and so fort. There was few youtube clips of what Vista will look like, and what it should be as Longhorn. There was rumors that MS stole MacOSs effects and Linuxes security tricks.

When I first got my hands on Vista, it was of course x64. I had only 2gb of ram at the moment, but soon enough I bought 2 more. First sentence after trying it for one day was “Niko me puškom na XP neće naterati” or in English: “No one is going to make me switch back to XP, not even with the shotgun”. The start menu search above all was revolutionary for me. And there came 3dsmax 9 x64 and vray 1.5 x64 and so others. But, there is always but. I had some serious problems. BSOD was coming out of nowhere. Restarts and so on … I tried to find the problem, and fix it. After some digging, I found that nvidias drivers was causing problems. And actually it was RAID driver of nforce4. And not just them, the quicktime player was resetting the driver. I uninstalled the quicktime and installed modded drivers, and BSODs seams to have disappeared. But from time to time, a was having BSODs, and a found that my TV Tuner ASUS MyCinema p7131 was faulty. But not at first hand. But I reverted back, and got the new one. The seller was trying to make me think it was Vistas fault, and that I should get back to XP. Everyone was telling me that I was crazy and I should use or XP or Ubuntu. Yes Ubuntu. Ubuntu community got very strong blogosphere than, and everybody was amazed by their flashy effects that were not that useful, just flashy. I must say at this point, that I`m supporting the open source idea, but Blender is not that good as max, Gimp is not that good as Photoshop, and to switch to them, I would have to spend so many hours that I don`t have.

My point is that MS is not to blame; nvidia, apple and the bloggers was very strong at that time, and MSs fault was only that they didn`t realize that. Nvidia developed drivers for nforce chip-set after more than a year that were stable. Apple too. But the bad word was already spread, and everybody hated Vista and Microsoft. SP1 has fixed almost all of the bugs, and SP2 has proven the stability. Today Vista is very good OS. And you can rely on it. But, very small number of people are willing to switch from XP to Vista.

This year Microsoft was announced that they are going to release Windows 7, and that they are going to make Beta testing public. After this Internet was full of information about new OS. Almost all of them was good. But no one was saying that this is Vista in the core. MS paid some blogger (many of them) to make good reviews of new OS. And many people strongly believe what bloggers are saying. Because it`s the power of “friends word”. And now we have optimized Vista with flashy new features, hardware manufacturers had written x64 drivers for Vista that win7 will eat, and we have good marketing behind all of this. Everyone will now pay for new operating system, even if it is just well packed older one. Even the system requirements are the same. I am not saying that win7 is bad. I am just saying that MS could give us all of this features in Vista SP3, but hey … no one would talk about it. So, no one would buy it. And MS would be in serious trouble. And yes, MS was saying that it will ship 7 without Media Player and IE to European countries, but it was all a buzz and good marketing trick.
Come on all of us and help Microsoft grow his monopolistic position.

Drveni Advokat, Sad Clown, ITKutak, Kremasica

Jako smo lepo ugošćeni, i upoznali smo mnogo dobrih ljudi. Pozdrav svima i vidimo se na nekom BlogOpen-u, TwittUp-u ili nekom slično gathering-u

OK, maybe I haven`t discovered America, maybe this was tipped somewhere
already, but I just wanted to share with you all this easy tip on how
to invert colors, but not the way Photoshop “invert” function does, but
to preserve the color palette in pic and invert them

Here is the picture I`m going to use:

Breach __ Fissure by ~enm-e

all the credits goes to enm-e from deviant

Open up any pic you want, but I
suggest that you use some illustration, because with photos of people
for example, it could look very weird.
Now duplicate the layer, and invert the new layer (image > adjustments > invert), and set the layer blending to limunosity.

And there you have it:

Inverted > Breach __ Fissure by ~enm-e

The result.

I hope that you find this useful tip …

Google Chrome OS

The future as of now is changing everyday. We are making the future happen every single day and every action we take changes the future a little bit. So yes, whether or not you decide to stop for that doughnut on your way back from work decides a lot of things and that is simply the start.

Thus when you start to think about how much the present can change the future, you will begin to appreciate that small ideas now are the things that cause the revolutions tomorrow. But you know that already don’t you? Google, Apple, Linux etc were all started this way and the dreams of the men behind them have changed the way we look at things forever.

Recently, Google confirmed rumors that have been going around for quite some time now. Google is going to release a full-fledged OS called the Google Chrome OS. Although it is actually going to be a new Linux based OS, the idea behind the OS is something that is very much like Google.

Allow me to give you a short description of the Chrome OS before I launch into my discussion. The Chrome OS is named so because when it is launched sometime early next year, it is going to be a simple lightweight Linux based OS that will have a new windowing system and will essentially be a system that is focussed on getting you online as soon as possible. Hence it is Chrome running on its own OS.

Google has outlined that the key aspect of the OS will be speed, security and simplicity. Their primary objective for a long time has been to move every essential application to the Internet. They have been doing that quite successfully over the past few years and this new OS will be taking that vision one step closer to its culmination.

Google Chrome OS Logo

Thus I started thinking of what the future of gadgets could possibly be like when developers take the open sourced Chrome OS and great new web applications start to emerge. The Chrome OS is going to target netbooks at first and will then move on to full scale desktops (and laptops as well I guess). So let’s take that as our point of departure.

From what I have been seeing in the netbooks segment, power is not what people are demanding. In fact, if netbook processors are anything they are a step backwards in computing power. The point here is mobility. Full scale chips need more power and more power consumption means less mobility. If there was no Intel Atom, there would’ve been custom made Windows running on ARM chips probably. Intel executives do have a good reason to hate ARM chips. ARM stole the iPhone from them. Intel cannot get anywhere near the power efficiency that ARM chips have and they have actually admitted this fact.

Thus it is safe to assume that the netbooks will only get marginally faster by this time next year but the software running on them will make it seem like it is an entirely new generation of portable devices.

And it will be a new generation because Google emphasizes on the light-weight and functionality part. Their aim is simple and precise. We as consumers don’t want to wait around for our devices to boot and we do not want to be slowed down when we switch ultra-mobile and ultra-low-powered devices. Hence, it is only logical that the existing software conventions will be rewritten while the hardware struggles to catch up.

After all, software is much easier to constantly develop and reinvent than hardware. For e.g. the iPhone has changed a lot physically but the software level changes have arguably been much more significant. This is also easily demonstrated in the change from OS X 10.4 Tiger to OS X 10.5 Leopard and is meant to happen again in Snow Leopard. Same device but different OS equals to huge difference.

Hence, it is easy to understand what kind of an impact something like the Google Chrome OS can have. With Google as its maker, Linux at its core and the open source community as its nurturer – this OS is not only standing on the shoulders of giants but it is also likely to become one in its own right.

Google Chrome OS Partners

Coming back to hardware, Linux based light OS’s are already becoming common preloaded secondary OS’s on mainstream laptops. Even though they aren’t used much, we can see a definite trend here. People want faster machines and what Windows or even Mac can’t give them, perhaps the Chrome OS will.

Thankfully, one hardware challenge is almost as good as solved. SSDs are fast making appearances on lower end systems and soon they will become de facto. This ensures that even if faster low-power chips are not available by the next year, we will still have faster netbooks.

Netbooks are known for being, well, small. Even though that is their selling point, it is also the main complaint against them. Asus I would say has come up with a great solution to this and it is likely to see at least a moderate amount of adaption. By making the netbook a low-cost tablet, a whole new world of possibilities is unlocked.

It is common knowledge that as technologies become standards, prices drop like mad. If you do not believe me, think back to the time when CD-drives and CDRW drives were first introduced in to the market. We are seeing a similar thing happening with Blu Ray, if it at all becomes a standard like CD and DVD.

The Google Chrome OS will not run native Linux applications of any kind. Instead, it will run web applications. Google is right in saying that web applications give the developers the largest possible market – everyone who has access to the internet regardless of platform and device.

With this, Google will fulfill two very important thing. First it will take away from the processing and storage demanded of the device. Then it will ensure that Google has an OS in the market that makes having stripped down Windows or Linux completely unnecessary. You will simply open the netbook, press the power button, wait for three seconds and start checking your mail on a touch interface developed and maintained by the open source community.

Great UI, simple implementation, blazing speeds and full functionality with security courtesy Google and others. That is what you can expect when the Chrome OS finally gets through a development cycle. If it sounds tempting it’s because it is.

Google announced “his” new OS. OK we all love Google for many services such as google search, maps, reader, calendar … Chrome … but Chrome OS? What’s the deal with this new OS. As far as i have read, it is a Linux distribution, but it will be very much limited. OK, that may sound just like Mac OS, they had limited their users, and everybody thinks that having Limited but fancy skinned OS is cool. I disagree! But Google has a Brand maybe even bigger than Apple and Microsoft. So it can “sell” anything he likes. Chrome OS is hitting for net-books, that are mainly for web … where Google has the biggest cut of cake. So maybe he will be more successful than WinXP.

The other part of the story is that Google is pushing the cloud computing, which is somehow OK. But, you know, my files are somewhere in the world, and I should trust that someone somewhere? I don’t know. Maybe it is more secure, maybe it is not. We’ll see what the future brings.

Microsoft should be concerned about this, not because Google is going to brings us the miracle, but because he is opening the doors for Open Source Community to average user. Every single hardware manufacturer is going to write drivers for Googles OS. But because it is Linux, it will be installable on every Linux distribution. So more and more software developers are going to make their precious applications for Linux. OMG, I hardly wait to see that day, when I can use Adobe and Autodesk on Linux

So, from one point of view, Google is bringing us nothing new this time, but from the other … he is choosing the side that is against corporations like MS and Apple.
