        <summary type="html">Our chapter is able to present two awards to worthy members each year: the Chapter Merit Award and the Student Merit Award. At the recent Fall Meeting (October 14, 2011 at the Inn Complete in Syracuse, NY). I had the honor of presenting Jill Hurst-Wahl with the Chapter Merit Award and Alison Starkey with the Student Merit Award. The Chapter Merit Award was created to honor and recognize individuals for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the Chapter.         <summary type="html">Michelle (Mia) Breitkopf is a graduate student pursuing her MLIS at Syracuse University. A native of Palmyra, NY, she attended Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. She has taught high school vocal music in Upstate NY and K-8 general music in Philadelphia, PA. Before moving to Syracuse with her husband, Mia worked in Philadelphia at The Pew Center for Arts &amp;amp; Heritage, which makes grants to cultural organizations and artists.
