They required a new site design and a new CMS - the previous one was hacked and they wanted something good looking, more stable and secure.</p> <p> </p> <p> <br /> </p> <h2> Challange</h2> <p> Having activities in multiple countries and doing a lot of work in US, EGM World had a lot of information to put on their website - however, they wanted a site that was easy to navigate yet, to be able to hold all that information as well. One other issue was the integration with their payment processor - for various reasons they wanted to keep the donation process outside their website.</p> <h2> Solution</h2> <p> The Drupal CMS fit like a glove for EGM Website. The proposed solution was based on multiple core technologies in Drupal - multiple categories, custom content types to easily manage the content, powerful search features and also subtle interactive elements that highlight featured content from around the website.<br /> For the external donation page we have created a custom design that was applied to it to streamline the user experience. We have focused our attention on the internal donation page as well - there were various proposals and sketches before actually implementing it. We have advised EGM in keeping the donation page simple and to the point - an advice that was followed with great results.<br /> Behind the scenes, we have optimized the CMS for search engines and short loading times. Besides the optimization settings in the CMS, we have tweaked the Virtual Machine for Drupal to make sure their website is running fast and without glitches.</p> <h2> Outcome</h2> <p> In just over two months, the new EGM World website stands out as content rich, yet simple to navigate website with focus on important areas on the site. The content is fully managed by EGM World staff and the many automation features configured for them ensures that the editors can focus on actually editing the content and not worrying about the technical aspects of running a large CMS.</p> </article> <article> <h1>The Logo Mix</h1> <p>admin — Wed, 01 Jun 2011 15:49:06 +0000</p> <p><a href="http://www.thelogomix.com" target="_blank">The Logo Mix</a> is intended to be a destination for logo designers and help them showcase their work and interact with each other. </p> <p> The site started as a Wordpress based gallery back in 2009, but we soon realized that we needed a bit more power and flexibility. We moved the gallery to Drupal and we did not regret it for a moment.</p> <p> Behind the scenes, the site is configured to automate quite a few tasks - from notifications to the site admins, complex spam preventing and image manipulation.</p> <p> The future for The Logo Mix gallery looks bright - Arandil Studios is on the process to develop the website into an even more attractive destination for logo designers and also offer great resources for its visitors.</p> </article> <article> <h1>Eternity Technologies</h1> <p>admin — Sun, 10 Oct 2010 11:49:47 +0000</p> <p> As a strategic partner of Arandil Studios, Eternity Technologies decided to embrace the Drupal as the CMS for their website. Arandil team started drawing out initial sketches and then, based on the feedback form REROC and a few rounds of design revisions the final designs were approved for the site and we were ready to move on with the Drupal implementation.</p> <h2> Drupal Setup</h2> <p> Once the designs were approved, Arandil started the work on the theming files needed for the new Drupal site. After getting approval on this stage, we moved on with the complex configurations for the site - calendar configuration, private area workflow and display, permissions setup, rich text editor setup, etc.</p> <p> Having the website running on test mode, we provided a test account for REROC. Based on their feedback we tweaked the interface, the rules and the workflow to match their prefferences.</p> <h2> Drupal hosting</h2> <p> The website being approved by REROC, a pleased customer at this stage, we moved the site from the test to the live server - a custom drupal server tweaked and configured by Eternity Technologies. While most of the hosting companies can host a Drupal site, Eternity goes beyond that and offers a highly tweaked and secure hosting environment for Drupal sites - this way, each Drupal hosted on their servers runs smoothly, fast and above all, securely.</p> </article> <article> <h1>Townhouse Wagga</h1> <p>admin — Fri, 20 Aug 2010 05:00:00 +0000</p> <p> The Townhouse Wagga was developed in partnership with Sitewave Australia and it is built on Drupal CMS. Apart from the usual easiness in managing the content, they wanted some special automation features that only Drupal CMS could provide. Also, while de content is very important, this site had some specific requirements on the design part as well.</div> <div> </div> <h2> Solution</h2> <div> We started with the design part and we have spent quite a lot of time crafting the site to match the vision of the ERAP team. In the end, after the final designs were approved we moved forward with creating their desired functionality. </div> <div> </div> <div> The now well known Drupal CMS configured by Arandil to be so easy to use was perfect for the job of making complex tasks easier. We have configured Drupal to resize images, put them in different places around the site, create a cache for each image file for easy access, but we also tweaked the submission forms to make things even more accessible. </div> <div> </div> <div> The newsletter section is managed within the site itself - no other external tools were needed - the administrator simply adds the content, schedules the newsletter and selects the mailing list they want to use. The list is automatically managed by the site - users can subscribe, unsubscribe or review their settings without any admin supervision. However, we have added the tools to let admins manually manage the lists as well if needed.</div> <div> </div> <div> The Google Calendar integration is also taken care of automatically. New events can be added manually, but once the admin added an event to the Google Calendar linked to the site, the calendar section is always in sync.</div> <div> </div> <h2> Outcome</h2> <div> ERAP was pleased with the way Arandil Studios managed to turn complex task into automated ones, making their site administrators life much easier. We have chosen Drupal to build a custom solution to allow them to post and manage content with ease.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <h2> Challenge</h2> <p> The previous website was managed by a web consulting company and it was a lengthy process - the updates were sent by email to the web consulting company once a month and they were uploaded on the website afterwards. Since the process was slow and the changes were almost impossible to make, ROMCOM wanted to be able to manage their own website, to focus on giving quality content and to be more visible on the search engines.</p> <h2> Solution</h2> <p> Arandil Studios chose Drupal, an award winning content management solution that allowed us to build a complex yet easy to use website. We took advantage of the many automation features in Drupal and optimized the workflow for each section of the site - this allowed us to reduce the time needed to add or manage content to the minimum.</p> <h2> Outcome</h2> <p> In just six weeks from the date the project started, ROMCOM was able to use the new website solution.
