They are looking for students who aren’t afraid to dig in!! This event will be held Friday November 18&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;. The &lt;place w:st="on"&gt;&lt;placename w:st="on"&gt;Volunteer&lt;/placename&gt; &lt;placetype w:st="on"&gt;Center&lt;/placetype&gt;&lt;/place&gt; will be proving transportation and we will depart from campus at 9:30 am and return at 12:15 pm. If so then this is the perfect job opportunity for you! The City of Springfield is looking for students for UIS and LLCC to help with the collection of&amp;nbsp;colored Glass to be recycled. This event will be held Saturday October 8th from 8am-12pm. Help is needed anywhere from 7:30am-12pm.Anyone who works at least 2 hours will receive free lunch. The volunteering event will be held on 8th St &amp;amp; Sangamon Ave, through Gate 11. Once you have arrived to Gate 11 you should proceed all the way towards the back of the Fairgrounds, and then turn right at the Goat Barn. There you will be greeted. &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
The festival is being held on October 14th and there are two shifts: 5 - 7 PM and 7 - 9 PM.&lt;br /&gt;
Anyone 12 and older can volunteer with a parent.&lt;br /&gt;
This is one of the YMCA largest fundraisers and over 125 volunteers are needed to make it a success. There are many volunteer positions like, face painting, running games, or handing out prizes.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If you would like to volunteer at this event you can get more information from Jill Steiner.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;Respite Childcare:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt; Childcare volunteers are needed no an as-needed basis for mothers who have appointments or just need a break.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;M.E.R.C.Y. Mentors:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt; As an added support for the women at M.E.R.C.Y House, adult female mentors are needed. Mentors are also needed for the older children (ages 6 and up).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;Life Skills Classes:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt; M.E.R.C.Y. Residents attend life skills classes on Monday and Thursday evenings. Volunteers with special knowledge regarding women's health, nutrition, parenting, budgeting, etc. are needed to facilitate these sessions.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;Transportation: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;Transporting residents to appointments.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;M.E.R.C.Y. Furniture Store: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;Located at 1650 Wabash Ave. The furniture store accepts donated consigned furniture. The proceeds are used to support M.E.R.C.Y. communities programs. Volunteers are needed to clean and repair furniture, arrange and decorate, pick up donations and answer telephone calls.&lt;br /&gt;

This event will be held at Westminister Presbyterian Church, 533 South Walnut, Springfield Illinois. WIC plans to volunteer from the hours of 2pm-5pm. Pizza will be served after for those that attend. The money raised will go towards women’s scholarships. All genders are welcome to volunteer.&lt;br /&gt;

Volunteers will be spilt into different groups or participating in one big group depending on the number of students who participate. &lt;br /&gt;
