Today was the best day ever! Whenever I say that I think of MAMMa's Grand Daughter's Enya and Isabella.

Today was fantabulous! But I can't tell you what all I did till tomorrow? Why? Cause I have pics to upload, and videos too, and those take some time. Plus I have so much to tell you, and I don't want to miss anything, and I am one tired gal cause it is over midnight, and I think I am turning into a pumpkin...ha!

So I will pull a card out of my bag of tricks to share, and call it a night.

Words I Thought I Would Never Hear My Husband Say...

"...honey I have to go to Kohls." I was like what? Yeah he had to go to Kohls to get a western shirt for the rodeo tomorrow, and the silly silly man thought he was going to go without ME!! Ha! Well surprise! What woman would not want to go shopping. He loves when I go too, cause we usually hit 4 more stores then he was originally gonna go to.

As soon as we got there he had to go potty, I swear the man has the bladder of a bird...ha! Notice how chatty I get on the weekends? He does not see my blog posts till he goes to work on Monday...ha! Turn off that fan, something might be hittin' it! ha!

Anyway, I said I would go over to the shirts and look, but some sparkly jewelry caught my eye and I forgot what we went to the store for, and that Jeff was with me too. Anyway, he called me over to the men's shirts and he got what he needed and off we went to lunch at Chic-Fil-A, I swear that looks like a fun place to work, they are so happy and helpful, but my gosh for every adult, there were three kids...nuts!

So cross your fingers everything goes as planned at the rodeo tomorrow and no one gets hurt.

So tonight MAMMa had a class and I didn't take the class but some of my Twilight peeps were gonna there, and especially my bud Mandy (hey Doll Face) and MAMMa said Shamim was gonna be there and I had not seen her in like forever, so I said maybe I would crash the class, and MAMMa said yes, so I said don't tell anyone. So I surprised everyone...I helped a bit to speed everyone up (or did I?), cause they were making 20 cards, and some of them were still stamping when I left. But what fun to just chill!

So this is a card I don't think I have shared (gosh I hope not, I try to file them once I have blogged them) this was from a class I did at MAMMa's a couple months ago maybe.

Cute eh? I always forget (even though I have been a Demonstrator for over 10 years) how simple and easy using the markers are to ink up a stamp so you can have different colors. I guess its cause I am usually COLORING IN...ha! But I need to look I don't think I have posted anything that I have colored lately, cause it has been class stuff. I have stuff on my desk colored and just need to make cards with it.

I will have to do it maybe Sunday.

November Artisan Challenge

OMG! My fingernails are wet so I am typing with two pencils and it reminded me of one of Eric's Doctor appointments, before we could start going there we had to meet with a secretary that asked a whole bunch of questions for his files. She had these long 3" plus fingernails and they were so long she had to use pencils to type. Eric and I just looked at each other and I hoped he would not say anything to her. But on the car ride home, we laughed and laughed, about it. I mean come on, don't you think she should have been more professional and cut them or that her boss would have said something? I mean if your fingernails are so long you can't type what else can't you do? Excuse me but me and my No. 2 pencils are gonna go take a No. 2. Wouldn't you like to be a fly on the bathroom stall for that wipe job? OK maybe not, and I can't believe I even thought that and even typed it...with my No. 2

Our Artisan challenge for November was to use the Simply Scrappin' Kit Christmas Jingle on a page, card or 3-d item.

Here are the items I sent in I can show you now since they put them online today on the Demonstrator side of the website.

This is using the Box #2 I showed how to make here.

The card was quick and fast, using the Simply Scrappin' Kit is easy.

I picked up a clear take-home container at a local store and decorated it.

Well that was it for me for the November challenges. Fun eh? I need to get my December challenge done and in the mail.

How many of you can hardly wait till Adam Lambert's CD comes out? I am excited to get it. Here is a video of his song that is from the movie 2012, he is so cute.

I think I am partial to the black nail polish...ha! Wonder if he has any issues with typing...or wiping?? Ha!

Phantom of the Opera

Today I was the judge over at the Trilogy Scrapbooking Club, and those girls did an awesome job on their cards and scrapbook pages, it was hard to pick a winner, but they were all winners, I made sure they all got ribbons and a prize too, cause they all deserved it.

I wore my Phantom of the Opera t-shirt I got when Ellie and I went to the play. Someone needs to explain to the play people that they need to carry adult shirts, or perhaps they just thought girls would like the one I got, but anyway, all they had were medium and extra large, and I got the extra large and it fits like a medium. Ellie thought I did not like the play cause I had not blogged about it yet, and I was like "oh my gosh no, I loved it, I totally did not shut up on the way home with Jeff, and then I keep looking at the program". I wanna watch the movie over again. The singing was amazing and the costumes were beautiful, we could not get over how fast they could change clothes and as well as position on the stage, I mean at one part Christine and the Phantom are on the stage and then poof they are up on a ramp. We were trying to figure out if perhaps it was stand ins on the ramp while the real people went around to get in the boat. The boat scene was amazing, it looked so real, and oh man when the chandelier goes up and the music, I get shivers. I had never seen the play before only the movie and I kept asking MAMMa "do they do this or that on stage?" and she would say "yeah" and I was like how in the heck...but they totally did. I mean the tomb of her father looked like a big building up there, I would have loved to see the props with regular lighting on them to see what they really looked like. It was weird to see kissing, I mean I see it on tv and in the movies, but this was real live people kissing...yeah I'm weird, but I guess I just don't see it in real life much. The play was so awesome, and if you can get tickets, I would suggest you definitely go. I am glad that I knew the story cause some of it was hard to hear with my old deaf ears, but I would totally go again. We went to the Sunday matinee and parking was excellent, we had the best seats, and it was such a great day, and then to go back and Ed and Ellie fixed us supper, it was the best day ever. Thanks Ellie, I love you girl, thank Ed too, and give him a hug for me.

Too funny the day before we went to the play my BFF Tracy was saying a friend of hers went to Avenue PU, (come to find out I was hearing it wrong - the brochure was there in the lobby) it is actually Avenue Q, and it is with puppets and she said it was so funny, and I was like I would probably not hear it very well cause whose lips would I read?

Here is a snippet of the original actors Micheal Crawford (who I have loved since Some Mothers Do 'ave Em - gotta love the British humor), and Sarah Brightman, this was from an awards show, and I must admit I actually liked the girl that sang it at the play Ellie and I went to better then Sarah. Here it shows the boat and you would swear they were really on a lake...amazing.

For those of you that have never seen Some Mothers Do 'Ave em, I found this on Utube too.

When I hosted the Christmas swap with the other Artisan girls, Summer Stone sent me the cutest thank you card in with her swap.

"V"

Well I watched "V" tonight, and at first I was totally NOT impressed with the beginning. It said something like "where were you on 9-11?", and then it said "where were you this morning?" or something like that. So I don't like that they used that as a comparison, I mean come on, 9-11 was a terrible, horrible real life tragedy, and to try to compare it with a tv show about aliens coming to our planet, was not very nice in my opinion. I almost turned the tv off, and said forget about it. But I told Connie (thanks girlfriend...she called me to remind me it was on tonight) that I would give the show a couple episodes before I decide one way or the other.

So it was good after the beginning. It has been years since I saw the original and I can't remember if we saw the lizard skin right in the first episode, but times have changed, and we have NO patience, so if things don't happen quickly we get bored, so I am glad they got right to the nitty gritty in the first episode. I do need to look up what the heck a sleeper cell is, cause that part had me lost. I will watch it next week and see if it still keeps me wanting to watch more.

I do love Scott Wolf, who plays the reporter tv guy, he reminds me of Tom Cruise, and I loved him on Party of Five. So it is nice to see him on tv again, with that crooked cute smile that he has. I was also so excited to see Alan Tudyk on the show, I love him, he is so funny. If you have not seen the movie "Death at a Funeral" you have to rent it. Alan plays Simon, it is a British movie, so I suggest turning on the subtitles, you hate to miss any of the words, especially with the British slang, I love swearing with a British accent, cause it really seems almost royal.

Opposites Attract

Thank you so much for all of your Anniversary wishes, we really appreciate it.

Anyway I thought I would share a couple pics from yesterday.

We went out to eat at Cantina Larado in Gilbert, and it is yummy. We got the waitress (who was so hard to understand, she had a pretty thick accent, she probably thought I was insane, asking her to repeat all the time. She talked a mile a minute) to take our picture. Before we left the house Jeff said "is it ok if I go like this?" (meaning the way he was dressed) and I said "yep that's my man".

OMG! I so need a hair cut (I made an appt for Wednesday, I look like a shaggy dog...ruff!), Jeff had the beef brisket tacos, and his eyes rolled back in his head as he ate, it was that good. I had a combo plate and I love their sour cream sauce...yum! They also make your guacamole right at your table, and we always do that.

So afterwards we headed to Kohls, cause 25 years is actually the silver anniversary, and well I love silver jewelry so I picked up a couple rings. They were on sale, so I could afford two! Ha!

This one I actually had looked at when my BFF Tracy was here but they didnt have the right size, and today they did. Cool eh?

Then I got this one too, I love the uniqueness of it, what do you think?

My hands look so old. This one was hard to take a picture of, but I love it. My pointer finger, my thumb and my flip off finger are the same size so I can move the rings back and forth.

So after I got my new jewels we headed over to the grocery store, Jeff was gonna make some chili and had to get some ingredients.

So this is where the blog title comes in. As he walks up to the register he was carrying this, and he said "this is my idea of a silver anniversary gift."

Why it's the Silver Bullet of course! He is such a nut. But he's MY nut...unless someone really offers something good for him, then maybe I'd lend him out. Ha!

So how about a fun Sweet Treat cup so you didn't pop over here for nothin'

I got this idea from Barb Mullikin, I changed it just slightly. I found these yummy M&M's that are peanut butter and strawberry and the colors are great for the Stampin' Up! colors.

That's a little side joke to Jeff. Ya gotta have watched Lonesome Dove and then maybe you would know what I am talking about.

I love this song, I know it is a guy to a girl song, but I still love it for us:

You know its weird, even though we have been together since 1983 and married since 1984, I still get little butterflies in my stomach. When I see his truck coming down the road or he surprises me, things like that. Silly eh?

Rebecca asked for a wedding picture, I think I have posted this one before...

I love this song cause I do love Jeff more all the time, oh yeah there are times he drives me nuts, and my BFF Tracy and I kid about being single with no men to have to put up with, but of course we are just kidding.

Jeff will do little things, like at midnight Toby is running up and down Jeff as he sleeps, and does he smack him or get mad? nope he scruffs up his ears, pets him, gives him a hug and then Toby trots off, tonight I got to listen to Jeff tell Ed (I had told Ellie earlier as we were coming back from The Phantom of the Opera) how we met and it was nice to hear him tell the story.

I don't know if you believe in past lives, but I believe that Jeff and I knew each other in another life. He completes me. I love you honey, here's to 25 more years!

Good Day...

...Mate

Today was a great day, the weather was beautiful, we had company a few times. Eric and I headed to Walmart and picked him up a few new Wii games. I talked to my BFF for over an hour, and that always puts a smile on my face. I can hardly wait till Leadership when she will come for the week.

I watched a couple movies, one was Slumdog Millionaire, I did not know what it was about before I watched it, but it was really good, I missed the very beginning, so will have to catch it again. Jeff and I watched Australia tonight and it was pretty good too. Again I had no idea what it was about, as it started I thought it was just cattle herding, and then half way through it was like the Pearl Harbor movie. It was a really good movie too. Hugh Jackman cleans up so nice, plus I love the accent...crikey!

I also got some new books too, will I ever get my stack by the bed read? Who knows, it seems it gets added to all the time, I finish one and two more get added, plus I need to re-read New Moon, so I can remind myself about it before we go to the movie on the 20th. Did I tell you we already have our tickets bought...ha!

I am gonna have another good day tomorrow. Ellie and I are going to see The Phantom of the Opera, and then our hubby's are finally gonna meet when we go to dinner, what a great day eh? I am excited to see the play, I think I have only been to perhaps two plays in my whole life, one was a Shakespeare one and it was in Stratford and I think we had to go with our class, and I could not understand a dang thing they said. I probably was not hearing properly as I didn't start wearing hearing aids till 1988, I was too stubborn. Then I remember seeing one at a small place and it was oh crap, the name went right out of my head...something about the Dark. There was a blind woman and a man was trying to kill her, gosh I can't remember, I just know it was good, and it was amazing how they could scare us, one part they like turned the lights out but you could hear things going on.

Plus the next day is our 25th Anniversary and Jeff took the day off work, how special is that? Wonder what we will do?

Marquee Card

Jan Tink is brilliant when it comes to techniques, and this one is awesome. She calls it marvelous and magical, and I am calling it brilliant, how she comes up with things...my brain can not wrap itself around it. Once you do it, it is not that hard, but coming up with it...geesh, I don't know what is in that chocolate she says she is always eating but I want some.

This is one of the techniques that I will be teaching at my upcoming Technique Lovers Class.

Too Funny

So I was checking out my Twitter...Stampin' Up! was posting some fun pics of Halloween costumes, and I noticed my favorite band forever Ryan Shupe and the the Rubberband had posted a new video, and then it reminded me I didn't show you this one...this is my banjo boy Craig Miner (pictured here when they were in Mesa last year) He is so cute...he was at Convention again this year, helping Tonic Solfa sell CD's but he had a girl on his arm, so I was mature and ladylike and ignored him...ha!

Isn't that funny? It looks like he is driving but I am sure he is in the back seat, and he must have a fun computer to do all that. I would love to be a fly on the van wall on one of their road trips...ok maybe just Diana sitting on Craig's lap for one of their road trips...oops, did I say that out loud?

I wanted to show one of the cards that I will be teaching at my next Technique Lover's Class, this is called an Easel card and it is similar to a card that I had on here before, but this one has a special fold, these are so cool and I am totally making more of them.
