Dreamdust weddings shaped an immersive Italian experience that began with a pasta-making welcome party at Pizzeria donna stella and a lemon tiramisu tower for the bride's birthday, then moved to a terrace ceremony where florals by Ravello Wedding Flowers framed the panorama instead of competing with it. Offerings included Southern-style Shrimp and Grits with Tasso and Andouille gravy and mini cheese biscuits, Marinated Grilled Chicken Breast with lemon butter sauce and vegetable farfalle tossed with olive oil, parmesan, basil, salt, and pepper, and Braised Short Rib served over red skin mashed potatoes and broccolini with a rich mirepoix demi-glace.[/field]

The ceremony featured lush ground floral arrangements at the back of the aisle, creating a beautiful focal point that blended seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. Bridesmaids carried garden-style bouquets overflowing with roses, ranunculus, tulips, stock, and delicate seasonal blooms, while the groom, fathers, and grandfathers wore coordinating floral boutonnieres.

For the reception, RSG designed a layered tablescape that felt collected and organic. Round guest tables featured low floral arrangements surrounded by votive candles, while the long king tables showcased an artful mix of compote arrangements, bud vases, taper candles, and glowing votives. Many of the bridesmaids’ bouquets were repurposed as centerpieces, allowing the florals to transition beautifully from ceremony to reception.

Floral accents extended throughout the celebration, including arrangements at the escort display, cocktail tables, bar, and wedding cake. Bright pink garden roses, soft blush blooms, lavender stock, white tulips, and airy delphinium added movement and texture while maintaining the couple’s romantic color palette.

To complete the atmosphere, RSG also provided the reception draping, chandeliers, and uplighting. Flowing white drapery softened the tented reception space, while chandeliers and warm candlelight created an intimate glow as guests dined and celebrated beneath the trees.

Additional design details helped personalize the experience. Oh Darling Details created the custom signage, including the escort display featuring photos of the couple’s favorite people and coordinating bar signage. EventWorks Rentals furnished elegant lounge seating throughout cocktail hour, offering guests comfortable spaces to gather while complementing the garden party aesthetic.

The result was a celebration that felt timeless yet playful, filled with color, texture, candlelight, and meaningful details that perfectly reflected Caroline and Wes’s joyful love story.[/field]

Konnor and Josh said their vows at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden before moving the party to the Fort Worth Zoo, where KC Cloud Events transformed a tent built for 400 into an intimate spring garden for 115 with light blue velvet drape, a scalloped cornice, and 60 chandeliers from Party Dallas Rentals and Grand Events Texas peeking through greenery. Little Black Book Member Remi and Gold built full trees in the middle of blue velvet banquettes and hung lush florals over the dance floor. Soft Blues & Seaside Elegance at This Kiawah Island Wedding

We thought it would bring out the coastal feel while still keeping everything elegant and classic. [/field]

rom the beginning, we knew we wanted our wedding to feel like a weekend getaway where everyone could relax and celebrate together. Jason and I have always loved visiting Charleston, and every trip made us love the area even more. When we toured The Ocean Course, we both looked at each other and knew it was the place. We wanted our wedding to feel elegant and timeless while embracing the beauty of Kiawah. Rather than bringing in a lot of décor that competed with the scenery, we wanted the ocean views and the natural surroundings to be the focal point. The soft blue florals, woven textures, and coastal details all came together in a way that felt like us. One of the biggest reasons we chose Kiawah was because we wanted our guests to make a trip out of it. Having everyone staying on the island all weekend made the experience so special. It gave us so much more time with the people we love, and it made the whole weekend feel like one big celebration instead of just one day.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Jason knew how much I love the beach, so he planned the proposal at one of my favorite beaches in Sea Bright, New Jersey. It was just the two of us, which made the moment feel so personal and special.
What I didn’t know was that the celebration wasn’t over. Afterward, he surprised me by having all of our family and friends waiting for us at a bar in Asbury Park. People traveled in from different states and different parts of New Jersey just to celebrate with us, and we spent the entire weekend together. It was such a fun surprise and honestly the perfect way to start our engagement.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]My mom, sister, and I visited what felt like every bridal salon, and I kept gravitating toward drop-waist silhouettes. I also knew I wanted lace, but I was really picky because I felt like a lot of lace dresses overwhelmed me instead of feeling timeless.
Ironically, I actually found my dress on TikTok. The second I saw the Olivia gown by Sareh Nouri, I immediately thought, that’s my dress. When I looked into it, I found out Sareh Nouri is based in New Jersey, which made it feel even more special. Once I tried it on, I didn’t want to take it off. It had everything I had been looking for—the drop waist, the lace, and a classic feel that still felt like me. For the ceremony, I added a lace overlay, which made the look feel even more timeless and gave me two slightly different looks throughout the day. For my something borrowed, I wore my cousin’s yellow diamond earrings from Louis Cicero Fine Jewlery! [/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Instead of having a large bridal party, I chose to have just my sister as my Maid of Honor. Keeping it intimate felt right for us, and I loved that she wore a light blue Rachel Gilbert gown that complemented our coastal color palette beautifully. [/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”] Jason worked with Duru Luxury Clothing, a local shop in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, to create custom looks for both our welcome party and wedding day. One of my favorite parts of the process was that he and my dad went together to pick everything out it became a really special memory for both of them.
Jason was incredibly intentional about every detail of his look. From the custom lining inside his tuxedo jacket to the fabric textures, shirt buttons, and finishing touches, he really made it his own. For the ceremony, he chose a timeless black tuxedo paired with velvet loafers for a classic look, then changed into a blue dinner jacket for the reception as a fun nod to our coastal color palette. I loved that he embraced the opportunity to have two different looks while still keeping everything classic and true to his style.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]We wanted our food and drinks to reflect both the location and our families. We had two signature cocktails—my favorite, a classic margarita, and Jason’s favorite, a transfusion, which felt especially fitting since we were getting married on a golf course.
For cocktail hour, we wanted to lean into some of the foods Charleston is known for, so we served a variety of seafood, including lobster rolls, which ended up being one of our favorite bites of the night. Since both of our families are Italian, it was important to us to incorporate that into the menu as well. We added a mushroom ravioli course, and it ended up being one of the biggest hits of the evening.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We wanted our florals and décor to feel timeless, romantic, and inspired by the natural beauty of Kiawah. Our florals were blues, whites, and greens, with hydrangeas and peonies. One of my favorite design details was incorporating shell vessels into our centerpieces and paired the florals with woven textures, natural cane chairs, and lots of candlelight to create a space that felt elegant [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We wanted our cake to reflect the same timeless style as the rest of our wedding. We chose a classic two-tier cake with vintage-inspired piping details and topped it with a black Labrador figurine in honor of our dog, Charley, who we wanted included in some way.
We each picked one of the cake flavors, which made it even more personal. I chose Funfetti with buttercream frosting, and Jason picked red velvet with cream cheese frosting, so our guests got to enjoy both of our favorites.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]One of the most meaningful parts of our wedding was our ceremony. One of our best friends, Paul, officiated, which made the ceremony feel incredibly personal because he knows our relationship so well. My sister stood beside me as my Maid of Honor, and Jason’s brother, Chris, stood beside him as his Best Man, making it even more special to have our families represented in such an important way.
We also decided to write our own vows. Looking back, exchanging those vows was one of our favorite moments of the entire day. It gave us the chance to tell our story in our own words, and it’s something we’ll both remember forever.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]One of our biggest priorities was creating a wedding weekend rather than just a wedding day. Family and friends are the most important part of our lives, so since so many of our guests traveled to Kiawah, we wanted to make the most of every minute we had together.
We kicked off the weekend with a Lowcountry welcome party at Mingo Point, where everyone could relax, reconnect, and celebrate before the wedding. Jason’s dad, John, welcomed everyone with a speech to officially start the weekend, followed by heartfelt toasts from two of Jason’s closest friends and two of mine. We also had a musician perform who we met while living in Charlotte, a city that will always be a special part of our story, and one of Jason’s cousins joined him to perform one of our favorite songs, “Tennessee Whiskey.” It was the perfect way to begin the weekend, surrounded by the people who have been there throughout our relationship.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Even though our black Labrador, Charley, couldn’t be with us in person, we wanted her to be part of the celebration. We included a black Lab cake topper on our wedding cake and gave each guest a custom black Lab cookie as their wedding favor. It was a fun surprise for our guests and one of our favorite little details because it represented such a big part of our life together. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Making our ceremony personal was one of the most important parts of our wedding. One of our best friends officiated, my sister stood beside me as my Maid of Honor, and Jason’s brother stood beside him as his Best Man. I also had both of my parents walk me down the aisle, which was such a meaningful moment and something I’ll always cherish.
We also chose to write our own vows, which ended up being one of the most memorable and emotional parts of the entire day. Having the people who know and love us most play such an important role made our ceremony feel incredibly personal and completely true to who we are.[/field]
