Punk rock is a rock music genre that developed between 1974 and 1976 in the United States, and UK. Rooted in garage rock and other forms of what is now known as protopunk music, punk rock bands eschewed the perceived excesses of mainstream 1970s rock. They created fast, hard-edged music, typically with short songs, stripped-down instrumentation, and often political, anti-establishment lyrics.

Punk embraces a DIY (do it yourself) ethic, with many bands self-producing their recordings and distributing them through informal channels asa Visiones podcast knows.

In this episode, bands such as the Ramones, in New York City, and the Sex Pistols and The Clash, in London, show their recognized as the vanguard of a 70 new musical movement.

This episode its called “Teenage Kicks” for the most important track of the history punk performed by the Undertones.

The 1980s saw intense diversification of RAP music which developed into a more complex form. As technology evolved so did the practice of looping break into breakbeats. In this episode VisioneS brought to you the samples used on this vintage rap session, bring you back to the 80´s hippest streets of New York.

The singles “I Ain’t No Joke” and “I Know You Got Soul” of Eric B & Rakim sampled James Brown and his cohort Bobby Byrd. “Express Yourself” is a song recorded by N.W.A, the song samples Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band’s. Never have I heard MC’s so relaxed on the mic, not even Notorius B.I.G, EMPD used beats really chill like the “I Shot the Sheriff” sample on Strictly Business.   ”Step into a World” by KRS One containing a sample of punk and New Wave group Blondie, and sampled The Champ by The Mohawks. Jeckyl & Hyde composed “Genius rap” one of the first hip hop records to used the famous Tom Tom Club sample, “Genius of Love”.
