We visited the Huizingen Domain on a beautiful, sunny spring day. We were in Bruxelles for a long weekend and because we don't like the city very much, we decided to head out. That was a great decision! The entrance to the park was a little difficult to find because our GPS was a little confused. However, once we paid the admission fee and got inside we really enjoyed the place. The great mix between historical buildings, beautifully groomed grounds and lots of activities, made our visit to Huizingen be something we remember. Treviso is a small town in the region of Veneto in Northern Italy. Because Treviso is so close to Venice it gets bypassed by tourists because Venice is such a hot tourist attraction. This makes Treviso a quiet town to visit with plenty of historical buildings and attractions. We definitely enjoyed walking through its narrow streets and admiring the many old buildings scattered all over the town. Treviso boasts a large university and it is also an important industrial city. All this makes Treviso a worthwhile tourist attraction...if you have already seen Venice.

Soave, Italy was a small village that we knew nothing about when we visited Italy. We simply saw it from the freeway and decided to stop...and we were glad we did it. It is definitely a very old small village with an impressive castle and beautiful views of the surrounding country side. Soave, Italy is a delightful day trip from Verona or Lake Garda. The stairs leading to the castle provide beautiful views all around the area and the surrounding hills are simply beautiful with grape vines stretching in all directions.

Padova lies about on hour drive from Venice in Northern Italy. It is very easy to reach Padova from the A4 motorway and we just followed the signs to the main square in Padova. We arrived in Padova, Italy on a very hot day in August. We did whatever we could to escape the heat. Even though we didn't have much time to walk around we enjoyed Padova, Italy very much. The amazing Pratto della Valle square fascinated us with all many and beautiful sculptures.

We visited Milan, Italy on a very hot July day. We landed in the middle of a very busy large Italian city and we were relieved that Milan was only going to be a quick stop on our Northern Italy itinerary. Milan is the industrial and financial capital of Northern Italy and as such it is a city full of life. For the tourist, however, Milan is not very exciting. Except for a few extraordinary tourist attractions, Milan is an uninteresting European city. Read on to see some of my travel pictures.
