At first start you will have to choose what type of rose you wish to plant.It is wise to choose between bare-root, pre-packaged, and container-grown roses.

Bare-root roses should be planted as soon as frosts are over and the ground is warm and workable.Pre-packaged roses are bare-root plants that are sold in a bad or box with something around the roots to retain moisture.Container-grown roses are grown in containers.They become available in the early spring.They will be either budding or already in bloom when they are available.

The most important thing is healthy soil and a prime planting area.The planting methods are the same as any other shrub.It doesn’t matter whether the roses are bare-root or container-grown.The spot should be good drainage, gets plenty of sunlight, and will not overcrowd roses.

Dead leaves and thin or decayed shoots need to be cut off.Any damaged or very long roots also need to be trimmed.Soak bare-root roses in water about 10-12 hours to restore moisture in the roots before planting.The hole should be large enough for the root growth.

It should be keep in mind that the roses are heavy feeders and will need several fertilizer applications.Fertilizing should be started in early spring and discontinued in early fall.Roses require large amounts of water.

Pruning is an essential part to flower gardening.It increases blooms and encourages healthy plant growth.Different varieties of roses have different instructions for pruning.

The main thing to remember in rose gardening is to water, water, and water.Another thing about rose gardening is the amount of fertilizer and nutrients you will need to use, and the pruning that needs to be done to keep roses under control and healthy.

Sandy: means a soil containing enough particles of sand so that water will pass through it without leaving it pasty and sticky a few days after a rain; "light" enough, as it is called, so that a handful, under ordinary conditions, will crumble and fall apart readily after being pressed in the hand.

Loam: a rich, friable soil.It is soil in which the sand and clay are in proper proportions, so that neither greatly predominate from cultivation and enrichment and usually dark in color.Such a soil, even to the untrained eye, just naturally looks as if it would grow things.

Use perennial vegetables instead of annuals.

Plant edibles including trees, vines, bushes, and ground-covers.

Avoid using leaf blowers and other dust-producing equipment.

Leave dog leavings on the yard.

Use recycled wood chips to keep the weeds down, retain moisture, and prevent erosion

Use natural predators rather than pesticides which harm the environment.

Water grass early in the morning.

Borrow seldomly used items such as ladders, chain saws, and people.

Put leaves in a compost heap instead of burning them or throwing them away

Install water barrels to collect rain water from troughs.

Starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.This film is a comedy.Out on DVD.Two rattling diverse cops whose job is primarily to sit behind a desk and do paperwork patch the additional cops get all the beauty,Ferrell and Wahlberg play Allan and Terry.

They resolve to conduct on a piercing strikingness billionaire, King Ershon, who plans on hiding money to inform his promotion losses,being tired of watching.

Ferrell and Wahlberg star as NYPD detective partners Allen Gamble and Terry Hoist, two of the department's wallflower members who have no choice but to fawn over the supercop antics of P.K. Highsmith (Samuel L. Jackson) and Christopher Danson (Dwayne Johnson) – two guys who love the job as much as they love themselves. But when Highsmith and Danson take their jobs too far over the edge, the department is in sudden need of a dynamic duo that can take their place.

In the film there are a lot of funny moments between Wahlberg and Ferrell.Their relationship never fully develops.Throughout the film Will Ferrell delivers most of the funny comments.Wahlberg is the type to be very comfortable with dry comedy as well as action.

Anne Heche arbitrarily shows up as very minor character.She has a few short scenes.Michael Keaton, however, does a fantastic job in a smaller yet pivotal role as the chief of police.

The special features on the DVD include deleted and extended scenes.Another feature is "Crash and Burn".The director talks about mixing action with comedy and action.The director also illustrates how the stunts were filmed and accomplished.

Directed by Ferrell's frequent collaborator Adam McKay, "The Other Guys" is loaded with many familiar faces and cameos, including a funny, ongoing joke in the film involving New York Yankee Derek Jeter. It's one of the year's best comedies.

Unfortunately, the DVD is lacking a commentary track. McKay and Ferrell are renowned for tracks that rival their films for hilarity, but for “The Other Guys,” they sat it out.

Released to theaters in early August,"The Other Guys" teamed Mark Wahlberg with popular comedian Will Ferrell in a movie written and directed by Adam McKay, the filmmaker behind "Step Brothers" and "Anchorman." In McKay's first action film, "The Other Guys" was able to overcome the usual August lull at the box office to become the only action-comedy of the year to cross $100 million domestically.

Mani Ratnam's Hindi Film Raavan(2010) Review

A man who comes crossways as bad and menacing can be worshipful in experience.Bad starts seeming fortunate as in the covering of Beera (Abhishek Bachchan).

Beera hides in the dull forests from where he orchestrates his felon activities against the police,a la Veerappan.He ruthlessly kills the policemen and loots their instruments.Going by Beera’s sharp hunting skills and knowledge of the jungle, even the police is now scared of the dangerous outlaw except for SP Dev (Vikram).

Beera kidnaps Dev's wife Ragini (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) and takes her to the jungle. Dev takes the forbear of a rummy biome safety (Govinda) in impose to get game his woman.

Raavan is a film made with good intention, beautiful music and mind blowing cinematography.Mani Ratnam does the modern adaptation of Hindu mythological epic Ramayana with a twist.

Inspired by Vidya Balan’s Bhool Bhullaiyya,Ash screams from the bottom of her lungs when she speaks.The two,screaming at each other when not climbing a rocky mountain or jumping off a cliff.

The dialogues are highly uninspiring.Raavan is no Mani Ratnam signature film at all.There is no punch in the script which doesn’t rise above clichés, no tenderness in the love between Dev and Ragini and no depth to Ragini or Dev’s character.

Abhishek and Priyamani,both actors act superbly and infuse soul into this otherwise lifeless drama.Abhishek walks away with the main role and does a good job as he gets into the skin of his character very well.

Ash holds one discontented language on her face throughout and so does Vikram.

There is brilliant cinematography by Santosh Sivan and V Manikandan.Jungles, waterfalls, rains...have never looked so beautiful in a Hindi film before.

Music by AR Rahman is mesmerizing.Outfits by Sabyasachi go perfectly.

'Nagavalli' suffers because it fails to match up to 'Aaptha Mithra' and its sequel 'Aaptha Rakshaka' or even Rajnikanth-starrer 'Chandramukhi'.

Their unique idea to beat the system and do wrong things in right way to reach more heights of riches proved to be very useful as their method was not followed before.

Hrithik and Aishwarya are back together with “Guzaarish” to wow the audiences with their intense chemistry,after the success of “Dhoom 2” and “Jodhaa Akbar”.

In many respects Guzaarish is an unusual film because it follows a film craft.Sanjay Leela Bhansali,film maker and his cinematographer (Sudeep Chatterjee) have created a collage of riveting paintings on screen.Literally the interiors of a crumbling mansion and the outsides of an incandescent Goa landscape transport you to an art gallery.Catch Hrithik and Aishwarya enjoying a drive down the uninhibited Goan countryside.

The movie is about a very talented magician played by Hrithik Roshan.He got severly paralyzed and had to stay in bed for 12 long years due to a fatal accident.What happened next to Him? even after these 12 years? That’s the movie is all about.

There were some flaws though Guzaarish is one of the best hindi movies ever.Specially the last patr of the movie.The total movie was great.The last part was too straight and the climax was scatered. In fact, every body will wait for something to happen but the movie went on and it ended to surprise!If it would have had a twist or a whole different story ending,it would have been a masterpiece.

The story is very much touchy.The movie was more of a drama,not too refined to hit the heart.In the whole course the story tend to involve all of Hrithik, Aishwarya and Aditya , yet it failed to make the climax.

Bhansali told, “It’s a very unique subject. It has been handled very, very sensitively, specially by the actors and their performances. We have taken care that it’s done gently, correctly because it’s a very important debate.”

The 'chronicles of Narnia'(3D) goes darker in this instalment of the film.The first part this film,Sadly,does not have the charm or wit.

Actors: Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, Ben Barnes, Will Poulter .

Lucy (Georgie Henley) and Edmund (Skandar Keynes) are living with their cousin Eustace (Will Poulter).However, all the three kids are sucked into the world of Narnia, where they join Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes).

Good vs. evil is the simple tales of previous films.There was a visible evil in both films.The evil is not outside, it is in the inside in the third instalment of this film.The greatest evil of this film is to be mentioned that each character must face the evil inside - their fears and insecurities.

There has always been a book to imbibe lessons of Christian goodness in children in "Chronicles of Narnia". And this part is an extension with most of the seven deadly Sins and its evils.

The presence of the two elder siblings also misses out in this film.The introduction of Eustace to take the place of a meek and fearful Edmund from the first part of the film, does add some Fun, but is not enough to raise the stakes of the film.

The story of this film that is Good to read, but is perhaps untranslatable to screen.

Tum Mile Hindi Movie Kissing Scene Review

Kunal Deshmukh is again with love story which is about an estranged couple.With seriousness Tum Mile has attempt to chronicle the natural calamity on celluloid.The horrors of 26th July on celluloid,Kunal has create it.

Two people (Emraan Hashmi, Soha Ali Khan) meet after a hiatus of six years.The problem lies in blending the natural calamity with the love story.But in Tum Mile, the nature’s fury doesn’t come across strongly or effectively. In a few scenes,you do draw parallels with real life.

The tiffs between Emraan and Soha are so identifiable.Kunal has explained the love story very well.The ‘Dil Ibaadat’ song can turn you on emotionally.

Emraan takes giant strides as an actor.Grossly under-rated despite having delivered competent performances in the past.

Soha has proved herself once again. She is extremely natural and that’s what makes her scenes so believable.

Tum Mile caters to the youth mainly.At the box-office, the Vishesh Films – Emraan Hashmi combo has cultivated a strong fan-base over the years.

The cinematography does justice to the beauty of South Africa.Pritam’s music is a possesition in the film.The computer graphics could’ve been better and more effective.All though the movie is worth watching specialy for the actor duo.

2012 is a thriller story,is written by producer-composer Harald Kloser and director Roland Emmerich himself,based on the Mayan culture prediction of Doomsday. The plot of the story follows the historical incident.Mayan Long Count Calendar predicts the end of the world will occur at December 21, 2012.

The struggle for survival also exhibits in the story.Divorced man Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) to save his ex-wife Kate Curtis (Amanda Peet) and kids Noha (Lima James) and Lily (Morgan Lily) from the disaster.

The thrilling scenes of struggle for survival are good.The cinematography of the movie is over dramatized.In some destructions scenes of great monuments like Eiffel Tower, White House Sistine Chapel and big buildings looks artificial.

The direction of Roland Emmerich is quite effective.The back ground score of Harold Kloser and Thomas Wander enhances the trauma and thrills of the scenes.

The story of destruction has nicely inculcated human emotion.The story leaves effect on the audience mind.Actor John Cusack has impressed the viewers with his powerful performance.

Mutiny on the Bounty (2010) DVD Review

The 1935 film adaptation of the events that occurred aboard the Bounty.It is considered the best filmed versions.Captain Bligh (Charles Laughton) is commanding the HMS Bounty on a perilous journey to Tahiti.To call Bligh a shipboard dictator would be an understatement.

For all his sadistic behavior he is an able seaman and first officer Fletcher Christian (Clark Gable) defends him.Mutiny on the Bounty is based on real events that were novelized by Charles Nordhoff and James Norman Hall.Charles Laughton scored twice in 1935, once with Les Miserables and with his portrayal of Captain Bligh.

Gable is grand as well as the leader.Both men, as well as Franchot Tone, would get nominated for their acting yet they wouldn’t win.The only time that three actors from a single film would get nominated.In fact, the film was known for a time as the only picture to win best picture.The film is sweeping and epic as movies should be perhaps.
