Games of this type are popular in that they are easily understood and relatively easily manipulated. There is a continuing desire to provide improved tilting of such games, and this invention is directed toward meeting that need and desire.

Touch Maneuver is a rather cool version of those classic 'don't touch the wire games' that you played when you were little, except this one is virtual and here you're aiming to keep a touch controlled ring on the virtual path without touching the track.

You need to hold and navigate the ring through the maze of obstacles by following the track closely but without the ring hitting the track! Of course, there are multiple levels with increased difficulties.

I'm expecting to get tube tomorrow and no, it is not device from Nokia, apparently we are not in love with Nokia anymore, I guess it is mainly due the our hacking, leaking and tweaking activities :]

I’m promoting this thing for the past two years, since we got first glimpse about the 5th edition and touch UI and I think I deserved to get this phone, not only because of me but because of half million unique readers per month, half million people that waiting from me to tell them is it worth switching to touch phones or not!

Also, with this game we started a new download sub-section for the 5th edition devices. I'm expecting it will grow fast, and become even more popular than the 3rd ed section in the very short amount of time!

The Nokia 5800 firmware version v31.0.008 is now available for download via NSU. Dont forget to backup your data before updating your phone! I haven’t found any changelog yet, but i will update this post as soon as i find one .

This software release comes with a new version of Ovi Maps, which offers improved maps and enhanced pedestrian and drive navigation. Additionally, the software release includes several performance improvements. This software release is available through the Nokia Software Updater.

Nokia 5800 Gets v30.0.011 Firmware - Brings Homescreen Email

The Nokia 5800 finally got a new firmware update. The new version is v30.0.011 and you can download it from NSU. The biggest news in this firmware is the homescreen email option and some bug fixes. Just make sure that you backup your phone before updating (if somethings goes wrong and the data is not saved).

The new software brings nothing new but after update phone is a bit quicker, more stable, more responsive with more free RAM after the boot-up.

So although it is not a major update it is still highly suggestible to get it as it brings dozens of minor bug fixes and improves reliability of your phone and offers extensive improvements in the performance.

To get this software you can download it from NSU or Update Over the Air. Just click on the Menu button, than > Settings > Phone > Phone mgmt > Device updates > Select Options > Check for updates and follow the on-screen prompts. Remember that you can also use Wi-Fi to download the update.

Process of downloading and updating firmware shouldn't take too long and cost you too much. Nokia provides this software free of charge. However, costs for downloading may be charged by your network operator or service provider. Please contact them for information about pricing.

As with all software releases, note that your mobile service provider, operator, or carrier may not have approved this release. Nokia produces many different variants of each product (for different countries and languages) and not all variants have the latest Nokia device firmware. It is our priority to update all variants as quickly as possible.

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is getting a firmware update, which will introduce some new, quite welcome features - an enhanced homescreen, kinetic scrolling in some menus as well as improved camera performance and response time.

The homescreen will be modified to resemble the one on Nokia 5530 XpressMusic rather than that of the N97 as we reported initially. We are sorry for the misunderstanding - we got our wires a little crossed on this one.

The kinetic scrolling update is only partial at this stage - it will be applicable in the homescreen, the Contacts list and the web browser. The update is surely more than welcome but we cannot help but feel that it will make the UI on the 5800 even more inconsistent.

Imagine this - in some lists in the Nokia 5800, you use kinetic scrolling, in others - dragging, which requires a two taps to activate an item, and in icon-based menus use just one tap. Worse still - sweeping your finger upward in the Contacts bar will make the list scroll down, while in another menu that still uses the old dragging logic - it will scroll up.

Another benefit of the upcoming firmware update would be the improved response time and camera performance. When this update will be available for the 5800 XpressMusic remains to be seen but it'll should be shortly after the launch of its younger sibling - Nokia 5530 XpressMusic.

Apple Drops Entry iPhone to $99, Unveils New Model

Apple Inc. slashed the entry price for an iPhone in half and lowered some laptops by $300 Monday, the company's first dramatic price cuts since the recession began a year and a half ago.

With co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs absent until his medical leave is over at the end of June, Apple's biggest unveiling at its annual conference for software developers was a new model of the iPhone, the 3G S. It looks the same but sports a faster processor, longer battery life, an internal compass, a video camera and a photo camera with better resolution and auto-focus.

A 16-gigabyte version of the 3G S will cost $199 and a 32-gigabyte version will be $299.

The 8-gigabyte iPhone 3G, which came out last year, now costs $99, instead of $199. When the iPhone debuted two years ago, eager Apple fans had to shell out $499 for a 4-gigabyte version and $599 for 8 gigs.
