Sloth and friends make radio debut

My knitted toy sloth and his buddies were super-excited when craft legend Kitiya Palaskas invited them as guests on her radio show, Made by Hand on 2Ser, Sydney.

They had so much fun in the studio. The show will up as a podcast on Kit’s blog very soon so you can hear what they all had to say ;)

I’ve always done a DIY Mother’s Day (See Happy Mother’s Day and A Mother’s Day Gif[t] ) but this year I had the honour of being photographed by the wonderful Daniel Boud for a Time Out Sydney Mother’s Day special feature.

Here are some of the photos taken by Daniel – I will still make mum a macaroni and glitter card, but these are a wonderful gift for us both : )

I have already pre-selected every birthday cake up until I turn 18 from The Australian Women’s Weekly Children’s Birthday Cake Book, or as I prefer to call it, “Train Cake Book”.

Fusing my love for the book and my mum’s love of knitting, she made me this knitted version of the train cake from the cover:

As if I wasn’t already excited enough, yesterday my mum helped release an interactive edition of Train Cake for iPad. This is the only thing I will ever need again on my iPad. Ever.
