Focus: Truth today brings balance to the scales. Justice on inner planes is to bring a balance to our thoughts and emotions, and thereby to our spirit. This card is often seen as that sort of universal justice embodied in the saying “what goes around, comes around”, but we all know it’s not really that simple, don’t we? Many of us receive heartache we’ve never given, while others go unpunished for grievous acts.
So ultimately our own justice, our balance, our truth, needs to be in our actions in and of themselves. Today’s reading includes a caution against that feeling of either “I don’t deserve this” or “I do deserve this!”. The universe owes us nothing. We’re not kind because we may then receive kindness in return. We’re kind because it’s our choice to be so. Because it’s our true will and to act in accordance with our true will brings us our own balance. Our own truth. And that must be enough.
