Fog Burning Off

Yes, it has been a while. The old day job took a bit more time than usual lately. (In case you missed it, we released a beta version of Adobe Lightroom 3.0 a few weeks ago.)

Had the pleasure of being out and about this morning when it was nice and sunny and the fog was just burning off. Can’t complain about this view just outside of Kingston.

Heron Reflection

We had an especially calm morning today. I happened to be downtown by the boat landing and found this heron watching the passing scene with a beautiful reflection.

Sailboats in Liberty Bay

A few mornings ago, we had unusual calm in the bay. This was the scene looking out from the Port of Poulsbo across Liberty Bay. Love the reflections … it almost has a New England-ish flavor to it.

Ferry at Dusk

I’ve been away from home for the last week (having a wonderful but busy week in Santa Fe, New Mexico).

I’m coming home tomorrow. Back to peace and quiet, back to see my family, back to our beautiful scenery. Maybe a ferry ride home on the way home from the airport.

Storm Clouds over Agate Pass

Water looks awfully good on a crazy hot day like today, doesn’t it?

This was taken a few hours ago from the Agate Pass Bridge looking towards Suquamish and Indianola. Storms were brewing on the foothills of the Cascades, but they offered no relief for us. It was just a blast furnace.

Here’s hoping for the return of cooler weather soon.

Twilight Ferry Approach

This is a follow-up to the popular Late Night Arrival: Seattle. A few minutes before that image (a long exposure of cars unloading), I caught this one with the oh-so-gorgeous (did I just say that?) reflections in the blue twilight.
