Megaupload was shutdown earlier this month by US officials and for now Megaupload data safe from deletion.

After the US official shutdown Megauupload, Filesonic and Fileserve taking drastic change in their policy by disable sharing functionality. For all Filesonic User, you can reclaim your money from them. Meanwhile, Fileserve doesn't issue any news that their user can reclaim money from them.

Next, will US official will target RapidShare again?

Update: Microsoft has now fixed the image on the Polish site so it is the same as the US version.

Wireless Charger reveal by Duracell

Battery manufacturer 'Duracell' has revealed its own wireless charging device called 'myGrid'.

Duracell claims that myGrid can power a variety of gadgets wirelessly including handsets also a range of MP3 players. The super thin charger pad will begin charging when device is on and the pad will turn off when nothing is present.

The myGrid is due for release in October.

Mozilla pushes user to update Firefox 3.5.2

Last week, Mozilla began offering Firefox 3.5 to users who still runing with older version of the browser. Mozilla attempt to get people to updgrade before support expires for Firefox 3.0.

Although user have been able to upgrade to Firefox 3.5 by downloading the new browser or manually triggering "Check for Update" under the Help menu but Mozilla has triggered an automated update offer when people running Firefox 3.0.

According to Mozilla :

"We might send you another offer again in the future, but it won't be for several weeks or months,"

Phishing is a way for hacker to gain credentials or personal information by using a website that appears to be legitimate.

NSS Labs, an independent security research group has done a research to find out which internet browser is best on thwarting phishing attempts. They tested on Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox 3, Apple Safari 4, Google Chrome 2, and Opera 10 Beta. The result of their study shows that Internet Explorer 8 was the best browser tested at thwarting phishing attempts.

Why Microsoft can't pull the plug on IE 6?

Digg, Facebook and YouTube going to cut off Internet Explorer 6 support but Microsoft still hasn't pulled the plug on IE 6 and they plan to extended support for the lifespan of Windows XP until April 8, 2014.

A post from Internet Explorer Team's blog explain why Microsoft still support IE 6:

The engineering point of view on IE6 starts as an operating systems supplier. Dropping support for IE6 is not an option because we committed to supporting the IE included with Windows for the lifespan of the product. We keep our commitments. Many people expect what they originally got with their operating system to keep working whatever release cadence particular subsystems have.
As engineers, we want people to upgrade to the latest version. We make it as easy as possible for them to upgrade. Ultimately, the choice to upgrade belongs to the person responsible for the PC.

Windows Live Hotmail's storage size is 500GB

According to LiveSide.net, Microsoft Windows Live Hotmail has offered 500GB for storage space. But it is unlikely, anyone needs a 500GB inbox especially with the limitation of mail attachments. Microsoft still can brag that they offered the most space.

Mozilla just released Firefox version 3.5 recently and it was really amazing but Mozilla just reveal some concept design for Firefox version 3.7.

This will be a good news for Windows users since the design for Firefox be will remaking for Windows version only. Here are feature that Mozilla planned to implement:

Embracing Glass: Toolbar and Tabs using Glass. Buttons translucent and slightly glossy to meld with the toolbar. Raised 3D lookachieve tactile "feel".
Page Button: Connect the Page button to the left side of the tab area. Directly connected to the Page.
Tools/Bookmark Bar: Connecting the Tools button to the side of the Window to emphasize the fact that it is used for customizing and changing the UI. Adding a button next to that to toggle the Bookmarks Bar which is turned off by default.

This update will improve the user interface for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008, adding a more visible and detailed description of updates as well as improvements in how users are notified about service packs.

Serious IE ActiveX Vulnerability Discovered

Microsoft has warned for Internet Explorer (IE) vulnerability has been discovered and Microsoft still working on patch for this vulnerability. The exploit can hijack a computer remotely if the victim simply visits a compromised a web site through Microsoft's Video ActiveX Control.

The exploit can only attack users running on "Windows XP" and "Windows Server 2003". The Vulnerability affects IE6 and IE7 but not IE8.

For the mean time, Microsoft has released a temporary work around for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.

Microsoft has officially announced starting June 26, "Windows 7 Upgrade Option" program allowing users to receive Windows 7 and PCs preinstalled with premium version of Windows Vista will qualify for a license equivalent of Windows 7.

Under the "Windows 7 Upgrade Option" program, the following Windows Vista version will have the following Windows 7 upgrade:
