Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This segment looks at exceptional visuals from various acts around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades, from the 90s and 2000s, and has shifted from multi-million-dollar-budget music videos to mid- to low-budget videos with exceptional production values. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.

Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

M-Dot – “I Know” prod. by Chill-ill (Cuts by DJ Decepta)

Hard-working emcee M-Dot is back at it as he drops a visual for his latest single, “I Know.” Produced by Chill-ill with cuts by DJ Decepta, M-Dot delivers a solid performance with vivid lyricism, reminding audiences of their small triumphs and wins. The song comes with visuals directed by Chill-ill, who blends performance shots with eye-popping effects and set pieces, reinforcing the song’s positive message.

The single is taken from M-Dot’s 7th album, A Notebook With No Light. All immediate pre-orders within the first two weeks will be entered into a lottery. Winner receives an autographed, authentic rhyme “notebook” full of M-Dot’s handwritten rhymes, along with a code to access the digital version of the album early.

Akete x Hajino – “Pacing”

“Pacing” from Akete and Hajino is a reflective piece that explores the concept of taking reins with clarity and finding true purpose. Over a soulful soundscape, Akete flows with ease and gives audiences a glimpse into his thought processes and outlook on life. The visual style highlights Akete’s artistic expression against the cityscape from which he draws inspiration.

MK Choppa – “My Team” (Official Video) Prod. Myke Milyan

Emerging rapper MK Choppa shares his perspective on brotherhood and loyalty in his new single “My Team.” Backed by the cinematic production from Myke Milyan, MK Choppa delivers melodic-laden rap verses where he pays homage to memories of his brother who is no longer here and the power of resilience and pursuit of success in a cold world. The visual style blends performance shots of MK Choppa doing what he knows best.

Doctor Noize – “Funk The Planet”.

Social activist/teacher/speaker Doctor Noize enters this week’s video playlist with “Funk The Planet” featuring Konshens The MC, UN Goodwill Ambassador Ricky Kej from India, and multi-Grammy-winning producer extraordinaire Lonnie Park. The track finds the artist calling the audience to help protect the environment in our own way. Over a playful and funky backdrop, Konshens The MC gives environmentally friendly tips with a touch of humour and a lot of heart, reminding us that Earth is our responsibility and it’s cool to funk the planet and not junk it up. The visual is a mix of live action and animation and blends shots of Doctor Noize and his band in the studio and clips from the environment. The video was directed by Doctor Noize’s daughter, Sidney Cullinan of the Yale School of Management.

Naya Yeira – “twenty9”

Indonesian singer-songwriter Naya Yeira helped close out our playlist with “twenty9.” The modern R&B/soul/hip-hop infused cut highlights Yeira’s expansive vocal range and forward-thinking style. The lyrics explore the concept of emotional frustration leading to clarity and finally letting go to grow as an individual. The visuals are cinematic and scenic as it captures Yeira’s performance style against the beautiful London cityscape.

Prolific producers Loui$ Menace and DJ Mirage  have teamed up for DARIUS, a 13-track body of work that highlights their music production prowess and knack for perfect artistic collaboration. The project is led by the single “Lost At Sea” featuring Xp The Marxman and Daniel Son. The result is an edgy and menacing piece featuring ominous piano riffs, dark strings and punchy drums underpinned by unapologetic rap verses from the duo of hard-nosed emcees who leave no prisoners on the scene.

The album brings together a powerful cast of international MCs, including AZ, Eto, Flee Lord, Daniel Son, XP The Marxman, Jamal Gasol, Yah Sin and more — each bringing raw bars, street poetry and unapologetic authenticity to the project.

The project’s abundance of water references and the inventive way of not making things stale are the icing on the cake of the album.

“Drowning'” dives into the Cahsus King’s life timeline as the emcee details his journey and some of the characters that made it colourful. “Hydration (Reign)” is a celebratory track that ushers in the relief of water after a dry spell, while “Drippin’ (Soaking Poems)” digs deep into his psyche as he continues to grind through the system that was made to subjugate him and his kind. The next feature comes courtesy of G-Holy on “Potions,” where the duo take us to the West Coast on this smooth, modern funk-infused track. We must add that the production thus far has been dynamic, versatile and consistent. Big-O’s varied genre-influences, excellent sample flips and layered instrumentation bring out the best in Cashus King.

The project ends with two brilliant tracks. The first is the solemn “Dark Agua” featuring Big Tone, which dives into the capitalistic system and corporations that have their sights on the destruction of the masses just to make a profit. The finale, “Wine,” serves as the full transformation and brings everything full circle. Here, Cashus once again shows his lyrical dexterity and knack for painting vivid verbal pictures s he runs through relatable stories and restorative themes. Other notable cuts include the anthemic “Swimmin'” followed by the Gospel-inspired “Holy Water and the 90s R&B vibes of “Like Lava For Water.” These tracks explore different sides of Cashus King, who pours his all on wax, from his transformation, growth and the feelings of true love.

Overall, Water to Wine is a brilliant project that evokes nostalgic feelings with a message of self-belief and trust in the natural process of things.

The project closes out on a high note with two Latin-tinged jams. First is the upbeat guitar-laden “Sazón,” featuring EliEzer O.R. Fusing Latin sounds with contemporary pop and hip-hop, the duo craft a celebratory track underpinned by sublime melodies and heartfelt songwriting. This is followed by “Mocktails Only,” a mid-tempo jam that sees Crown One teaming up with J. Reborn and together they take us on an exotic ride as they bask in the sun and enjoy the blessings bestowed upon them. Other notable tracks include the summer-tinged “Elevate,” which evokes positive vibes and highlights God’s little miracles that help put things in order. The hard-hitting “They Know” is about following God’s word and allowing him to be in control of one’s affairs. “Big Grace” is a full-on testimony on wax as Crown One delivers a praise and worship-influenced performance alongside singer  J-LEW

As a rapper and storyteller, Crown One is more adept with the pen and blends heartfelt tales with a spiritual angle, taming them with catchy hooks, which somewhat eases the passage of the message. Overall, The Crossover, will appeal to a wider audience due to the choice of sounds, but more importantly, the positive message that captures the life of the everyday man finding his spiritual footing in an unforgiving world.

“On My Life” is a lovelorn dark R&B track comprising moody textures, downtempo grooves underpinned by tuned vocals. The track focuses on emotional outpour and vulnerability from Mang as he pours his heart on wax. “Calling 4 U” continues in a similar vein with a declarative message of being neck deep in love with that special someone. Once again, he deploys a heartfelt and emotionally powerful performance with lines like “In my head, I hear these voices, calling for you,” which plays like a mantra-like refrain for most of the track. As for the instrumentation, Mang crafts a mellow backdrop using dark synths and pads with sparse drum grooves, creating an euphoric atmosphere filled with tension.

The energy of the project changes from this point on with “Say Nothin,” which starts with a plucky 808-kick drum and recurring vocal motif underpinned by scenic textures that evoke urgency with an emotional punch. Here, Mang puts his all on the line for that special someone, reminding them of his true intentions with lines like “Our souls align and am sorry I/ I’m always fine/But I can’t deny what I want this time is you and I to the end of time.” The next track, “Choose,” captures Mang’s expressive vocal style, which is exaggerated on this track. The extensive use of vocal processing might be too much for some, but aesthetically speaking, it adds some sort of punch to the overall ambiance and continues the cohesiveness of the project. From the first listen, “Woods” starts like an R&B ballad, but it evolves into a dark R&B/trap piece comprising solemn piano chords and minimalist drum arrangements. Mang takes vocal liberty on the performance side of things and delivers a bare bones performance filled with short phrases and a somewhat serviceable refrain. The final track “How U Want Me” is a touching and reflective track about his shortcomings and part in the past relationship and his oath to redemption. He is unapologetically remorseful and shows accountability with lines like “Save me from myself/talking about the times that I put you on the shelf.” The track sure sounds like a proper experimental ballad, and while Mang’s dynamic range is limited, his approach is still engaging and well-crafted.

Overall, More Than Someone provides a niche sound that doesn’t necessarily fit the mainstream, even though it embodies some elements of popular sounds. On the flip side, Mang’s use of minimalistic aesthetics is worthy of note and shows his knack for going against the grain.

Jupiliax-F helps kick off this week’s playlist with “That’s why,” a mellow jazz/hiphop track that evokes nostalgia and great memories. The flute-led track boasts warm textures, ethereal plucks and a solid drum groove to complete the mission. CaliCronk‘s “Saffron Breeze” lives up to its title with its summer-tinged vibe.”Oceanside” by German producers PalandBeatz and yiobe is a blissful track that takes listeners on a relaxing trip. Production duo Gianni and Idepen tap into the realms of soul/jazz-hop in this collaboration titled “Golden.” Another solid gem on this playlist is from Japanese producers Lofi Milk and Issei Igarashi, “After the Last Note” is a soothing piano-driven beat with lofi aesthetics. DertyLee drops the “Clear Path,” a soothing and emotionally punchy track, while Netherlands-based Superglue takes us on a scenic ride with “Before Sunset.” The track has rich Spanish guitar licks with modern jazz elements.

Spanish producer Blue Hippo takes us on a trip with “Daydreaming,” a plucky guitar-laden beat with sublime textures and soft grooves. “Only There for a Moment” by Lowe’s Retreat is a reflective track that boasts lush guitar licks, airy strings and sparse grooves that build over time. GT Beats delivers a hard-hitting piece, “10 Toes Down,” on the playlist. The production is clean, crisp and perfect for rappers. Steve Nguyen enters our playlist with two tracks, “Matsumoto Shave Ice” and “Empathetic.” The former is a summer-tinged soul/jazz/hip-hop infused piece that is dynamic, uplifting and sublime. The latter is a laidback and mellow piano-driven lofi/jazz track that evokes solemn moments. The layered instrumentation displayed on both tracks is impeccable and highlights Nguyen’s versatile production style. Veteran producer Jah Born delivers a welcome respite with “Sunset Orange,” a sublime, soulful track that evokes nostalgia and blissful vibes. The textures are warm and atmospheric, and the drums are sturdy and hard-hitting. He also drops “Starfish,” featuring Jordache Grant, to the playlist. The track has a solemn vibe, and it’s piano-driven with ethereal vibes. German producer Karkasse raises the ante with “Lost,” a hard-hitting and edgy track built on dark synths and rising pads underpinned by trap drums and moody textures.

South African producer Damien Sebe tones down the energy with “conversations,” a soul-jazz infused piece that blends rich piano chords, sublime horns and ethereal pads that create a relaxing ambiance. Funky Notes and Ben Jammin’ Beats captivate this week’s playlist with “Time Goes By.” The collaboration brings together a dynamic and versatile musical performance, rich in soulful textures that evoke nostalgia, and a bouncy, bass-driven drum groove that elicits a head bop. The overall feel is blissful, emotionally moving, and it’s perfect for your motivational set list.

London/UK-based producer Akhavelli thrilled us with some singles before dropping his debut instrumental album Moorthodox Psyence, late last month, and now he follows up with “Damo Speaks.” The hard-hitting instrumental single is another solid release that solidifies Akhavelli’s production proficiency. He is cut from the old school with a new school flair and pays homage to the essence of hip-hop. The track boasts dark and scenic obscure rock sample flips, piano trills and heavy drum breaks that snap across the low end frequency spectrum. He then tacks the beat with some excellent scratching using vocal samples from rap luminaries like Wyclef, Prodigy (Mobb Deep) and Makaveli.

“Buttas” is a conceptual track that finds Showrocka and Ansolu personifying the classic Timberland buttas on wax. Over a solemn soundscape, the emcees tell a tale through the eyes of the legendary boot brand. Listeners get thrown into the mix and meet different characters and witness events that can be hard to imagine from a different perspective. Producer Hommy DeVito connects with Vinnie Hoover for “Mornin'”. The tracks are a dark piano-driven piece about Hoover’s daily routine and the different antics he gets up to. The lyrics are unfiltered, off-kilter and hilarious. The track is taken from HOOVERnHOMMY VOL.2. NODA‘s new release, “Goldenboy,” is a reflective storytelling piece about the artist. Backed by a soulful contemporary soundscape with jazz elements and modern rap aesthetics, the rapper looks at his tumultuous childhood and the experiences that reshaped him into the man that he is today. Vancouver, B.C.-based multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter Matt Storm returns to our site with his new single “System Breaks”. The track is bolstered by an atmospheric backdrop comprising rich guitar plucks, revered soaked textures underpinned by Storm’s distorted vocals. The track explores the pain of a man beaten by the modern-day system, but who refuses to lie down and keeps pushing on. The Epistle Of Zyaire Rosier is the debut EP from emerging rapper/songwriter Zyaire Rosier, and the lead single ” Beautiful” makes its way to our earshot. The soul/jazz-infused track finds Rosier reflecting on his parents and how their individual actions informed his childhood to the present. West Yorkshire producer Mr Boswell Thomas connects with the legendary Oxnard-based Declaime on his new single “Everyday Grind”. The track explores the everyday struggles that we all go through and how the cycle repeats, but in different ways. UK emcee Stunner stays focused on the grind in his new single “RAW,” backed by a solemn piano riff and sparse but punchy drum groove. The emcee details his daily activities and how he navigates distractions and hurdles as he moves closer to his goals. “Brimstone” is a new release from emerging rapper emoturmoil. The track is a dark, moody piece that finds the rapper reflecting on his past and the many events that reshaped his outlook on life. From surviving the streets, dealing with fairweather friends, and being conditioned by dysfunctionality and loss, he gives audiences the full picture. The track is the lead single for his forthcoming album, The Boy They Called IT, scheduled for a summer release. JackOutTheBox and rljah deliver a hard-hitting gem, “Cry Me A River,” in this week’s playlist. The production is jazzy and punchy, while the lyrics are insightful and graphic.”Drift Away” by emerging emcee Remark is an introspective piece that explores inner conflict and personal struggles. Against a dark, ominous backdrop underscored by punchy drums and strings, the emcee digs deep into his psyche and shows audiences what truly goes on within.

Houston, TX-based Christian Hip Hop/ Soul artist D’Vo returns with new single “FLOATIN DREAMZ,” a heartfelt track about finding true purpose and holding on to his faith in a world filled with iniquities and distractions. “No Filter” is an unfiltered and unapologetic track from emerging rapper Joe 410, who pours his all on wax. Against a soulful, vocal sample-driven soundscape, he unloads the emotional weight of losing his mother, while navigating a wold world where nothing is promised. He doesn’t hold back and delivers an emotional performance with gems like “Everybody got a due date, but what you do with your time is your true fate,” which underscores his mindset. Next is rising singer Rya, who enters our playlist with “Help Me Be,” a R&B/hiphop infused cut that explores what true love entails. Over a solid drum groove and ethereal soundscape comprising soothing keys and warm pads, Rya reminds a potential lover not to misuse the time they have together. Emerging rapper aneTix‘s new single “Stand Up Straight” explores the dark times in his past, dealing with addiction and self-defeat. Over an upbeat backdrop comprising moody textures and punchy drum grooves, aneTix runs through his journey from the darkness to the light. From the many times he faltered to the times he was given the much-needed mental boost by his sister and her children, which led to mental clarity to be a better person for himself and everyone around him. aneTix doesn’t shy away from honesty and delivers a heartfelt and unapologetic performance that everyone can relate to.  NappyHigh x  – (feat. Blu & Ivan Ave)”.

The final track “LoveIt” by NappyHigh is a lofi/soul/hip-hop infused cut that features the legendary Blu and Ivan Ave. The production has a funk and psychedlic feela nd finds the emcees pouring adulations on that special someone while flexing their poetic license with wordplay and internal rhyme schemes.

UK rapper/spoken word artist Leo G makes his way to our site with a set of brand new singles, “Man In The Mirror” and “Intimacy.” The tracks have an interetsing mix of cinematic and atmospheric feel with insightful lyrics that explore topics ranging from social and political constructs with an underlying abstractness.

The first cut, “Man In The Mirror” is a reflective piece that explores self-assessment and reflection. The production is solemn and moody, while Leo G’s profound lyricism adds that extra emotional weight to it. Lines like “Maybe I prefer playing i-Robot but I realize that I was starting to rust/A renaissance man, one who dons many masks/changes many minds” underline his thought process.

The next song is “Intimacy,” a mellow and heartfelt piece about true love, and it finds Leo G pouring adoration on that special someone. The production is sublime and ethereal, and uses subtle vocal samples and melodies that add to the love-laden theme. Here, Leo G delivers his verses in a spoken word style with lines like  “Let euphoria warm my bones/ Let her love be all I need to feel complete/’cause angel, you mean the world to me,” that underscore vulnerability and genuine emotions.

As rapper/producer duo Noah23 and Fresh Kils prepare to release their forthcoming collaborative album, Tuff Racket, they unveil the second single, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit,” featuring PremRock. The track is a conceptual piece that blends off-kilter raps with anti-capitalist themes and 80s movie and pop culture references in one fell swoop. Against Freshkils’ scenic backdrop that evokes urgency and menacing vibes, the duo deliver outstanding performances, with Noah23 leading the pack with his laidback flow, followed by PremRock’s gruff cadence to close the deal.

After thrilling crowds with the live version of “Na Dem,” Seun Kuti & Egypt 80  connect with producer Femi Koleoso of Ezra Collective to help build the track into a full-fledged anthem. With Koleoso at the helm of affairs and the Egypt 80 band in tow, they also recruit the legendary Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) to add his unique touch to the track. The result is an unapologetic and scathing look at the current state of affairs in Nigeria and the hypocrisy of religious leaders and corrupt politicians who continue to deceive the masses.

The release of “Na Dem” follows his critically acclaimed 2024 album Heavier Yet (Lay The Crownless Head), a bold and expansive project that further cemented his international reputation.

Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 will embark on a new world tour beginning May 7, 2026, in Barcelona. The tour will travel through the Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand, before heading to the United States for two special performances this fall: My Life in Movement on October 9 in Los Angeles at The Regent Theater, and October 14 in New York at Webster Hall. South London-born singer-songwriter JGrrey breaks her musical hiatus with her new single “Take My Hand,” a heartfelt neo-soul/contemporary R&B-infused love ballad. Bolstered by the mellow piano-driven soundscape courtesy of producers Harry Jowett and Harry Beech, the track finds JGrrey and singer/songwriter Bel Cobain sharing touching stories about true human connection and support and the unmatchable feeling of being loved. Both singers deliver sultry and mesmerizing vocal performances with unique storytelling that offer nuanced perspectives on the subject matter. The track also has an interesting vocal sample that adds an extra layer to the theme of vulnerability and the power of trust.

Black Sherif continues to shift the musical landscape from his perspective as he returns with “SWAGGA.” The Ghanaian superstar is reeling off multiple award wins at the just-concluded 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, and he is already back at work with the new single and accompanying video. Bolstered by Joker’s cinematic and ominous backdrop, Black Sherif steps onto the podium and delivers a reflective-laden performance as he continues to rise. The visual, directed and shot by TedBaker and OG Farouk taps into the singer’s insightful storytelling with the use of recurring motifs, moody set pieces with elements that highlight trajectory and momentum.

Bossman Bandjo – “Reverse roles (Bossman Bandjo Cover)”

“Reverse roles (Bossman Bandjo Cover)” by Bossman Bandjo gets a visual treatment as he teams up with director Deadend. The street’s gritty lyrics are punctuated over a plucky piano-laden backdrop and a laidback Southern drawl that is unmistakable. The visual uses performance shots with minimal cut scenes that showcase the rapper’s swag and style on screen.

Akili Yang 楊翎 -” 餘生是你 The Rest Of My Life Is You”.

Taiwan-born, Singapore-based singer-songwriter Akili Yang (Chinese name: 楊翎) delivers a mix of Mandarin pop with R&B and jazz in her latest release, “餘生是你 The Rest Of My Life Is You.” Against a soulful backdrop teeming with lush piano chords, smooth guitar licks and a dynamic bass-driven drum groove, Yang explores the true meaning of love and connection with the right person. A type of love that is uncompromisingly genuine on all fronts. The visual style taps into a romantic setting that is devoid of confusion, and we get to see Akili Yang in both her artistic and vulnerable sides as she declares her love for that special someone in the perfect setting.

38 Spesh- “Used 2” Ft Rome Streetz

 38 Spesh connects with Rome Streetz for “Used 2,” a gritty tale about taking ownership and being self-aware in these cold streets. The production is moody and sublime, and the emcees deliver no-holds-barred rap verses filled with graphic imagery and bars. The visual style is mostly performance shots that capture 38 Spesh in his stomping grounds.

The track is off 38 Spesh’s new project 8 Shots; which is now available at all DSPs.

Bryan Chase- “OUTSIDE”

Singer/songwriter Bryan Chase unveils the visuals for his song “OUTSIDE.” The genre-bending track has elements of hip-hop with future R&B and finds the singer in his youthful element as he warms potential lovers of impending heartbreak. Also on the track is BIG Naughty, who delivers an auto-tune-soaked verse over the frantic backdrop. The visual style is cinematic and evokes urgency with the use of flashing lights, fast cut scenes and overall moody lighting.

IDYL – “L’ennui”

Belgian singer/songwriter IDYL enters our playlist with “L’ennui,” a contemporary pop/R&B infused cut that explores anxiety and self-assessment from a unique perspective. The title means Boredom in French and is inspired by the feeling of being behind when you have nothing to do. In some ways, being idle and getting caught up in one’s own trappings in an age where everything is moving at lightning speed. IDYL reflects deeply and shares her experiences with heartfelt and uplifting lyrics that everyone can relate to.  The visual style is quite engaging and dynamic as it focuses not only on IDYL’s performance but also on her interaction with her surroundings and the eye-popping set pieces. At one point, she is relaxing with a bored look on her face, and the next, she is smiling and basking in the moment, creating a sort of tension and resolution.

Yung Lyon – “Knock Knock”.

 “Knock Knock” by Yung Lyon gets the visual treatment, and we had to highlight it here on this new playlist. The gritty track finds Yung Lyon in his element as he details how he gets his bag while avoiding the opposition in the process. The visual style fuses performance shots of the rapper and highlights his on screen swagger to the fullest.

Fire In The Booth x Thiago – “THIAGO – Fire In The Booth”.

Charlie Sloth‘s newest Fire In The Booth sees him recruiting Thiago to come do damage. The young emcee is still emerging, but he comes through with the energy and gall of a veteran with years behind them. Backed by the cinematic and soulful beats provided by Skyr Beat, Thiago takes listeners on a lyrical journey with expert storytelling and vivid imagery that is unmatched and definitely has our ears from now on.

Khy Uniq – “Back & Forth”.

Khy Uniq help close this week’s playlist with “Back & Forth,” a deep and introspective look at life. Over a scenic and soulful backdrop, the emcee takes a look at mental health, childhood trauma and social conditioning from different perspectives. The conversations shift between his inner self and a therapist, highlighting the different media he has to navigate to clear out the proverbial skeletons in his closet. Khy Uniq is honest, unfiltered and leaves no stone unturned on this heartfelt track.
