Jergens All Purpose Face Cream 15oz, only $3.97. When I visit my friend in Boston, she has a container of this in her bathroom, one in her bedroom and most times one in her hand. LOL! She loves this product and told me that it cleared her acne. On my last visit, I told her it did make sense, 'cause of the principles the "Oil Cleansing Method."

Since she and I swap beauty secrets, I got swayed into buying my own tub. My area drugstore did not have it, but I found it at a Super-Walmart. Even while wondering if to buy 2 of the last 3 tubs on the shelf, a mom tracked me down the aisle and asked me if I liked the product. I told her my friend swears by it, and I had tried it too and liked it. She wanted an affordable beauty product for her sixteen year old daughter who was just starting to wear makeup.

Talk about my instant love affair, this comes from someone who is guilty of not removing makeup!

This product deep cleans your skin to remove makeup, waterproof mascara and dirt, providing a radiant, dewy base for makeup. Also softens and moisturizes to help smooth skin and fight dryness (especially during the winter months). It does not bother my eyes either. It can be used for makeup removal, a facial moisturizer, under eye cream, and even a body and foot moisturizer.

Directions for Use: Smooth generously over your face and throat. Remove with a tissue or leave on overnight. Sometimes I even apply it to an already clean face and wash it off in the bath. It leaves my skin silky soft! Sightly addicted, I apply it more than once a day. I love it.

I am in Guatemala, for a few days, currently in the hotel room recovering from a fun night, had last night with my Miami college TRINI friends. So I am watching a music channel, EXA TV here. It has become habit to watch any music channel in every country that I visit. I enjoyed a music channel in Sydney, Australia, it has to be one of my favorites. Oh, and of course, SYNERGY TV in Trinidad. Thanks to the enjoyment of watching Jason, now best known for his "PALANCING" fame!

So back to watching videos in Guatemala, not sure if you have seen this video but Shakira's "Did It Again (Lo Echo Esta Hecho)" video is hot. Talk about a workout in bed!

Ohhh, my greatest inspiration and awareness has been coming from my many friends on Facebook. Who knew Livvi Franc was a Barbadian - Brit (from Barbados and Britain)? Certainly, I did not!

When IMEEM was the music player that I used on this blog before MySpace bought it over and screwed it over, not too long ago, I featured Livvi's debut single, "Now I'm That Bitch" released in the summer of 2009. The song reached to the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club songs charts. Another of my anthems of sorts and those who know, I love dance music! I often say, "I see God in the music!"

Oh gosh, and it does not help that Mr. 305 (Miami area code), Pitbull is in this remix. My FB friends know I love Pitbull ... he's my Mr. Grimey. Umm, he makes me want to get GRIMEY (a morally reprehensible deed, according to the UrbanDictionary)! .... I could just hear him now, "Oye, mami, calmate!"

On a side note, CNz band leader and DJ, D Bandit did something that made him really stand out. It was during lunch on Carnival Tuesday in TRIBE. I had just finished eating, chilling and wondering how I would get the energy to start up again ... and out of the blue, I felt a tap on my boots. It was him, waving and smiling at me, already walking away to get back to the music truck! So I'm jumping with his band, CNz!

This morning a friend posts the fat comments made by Howard Stern and his side kick, Robin about Gabourey Sidibe, the actress nominated for Precious.

I fired back with a comment, "When are we going to get over that WE'RE NOT ALL THE SAME and will never be? Yet, no matter the color, size, money, sexual preferences, lifestyle and bullshit .... we're each dynamic. So stop with the (BLEEP) close minded and let's follow the sheep mentality. Be the (BLEEP) good shepherd!

I WAS PISSED! What pissed me off also was the hypocrisy, because Robin is now mainstream in size, she seems to forget she was FAT too! ... And Howard is really not a handsome young buck either!

What is the point of bashing another human being who has done nothing to harm or hurt you? What ever happened to "If you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all!"? Up till yesterday afternoon, I told a FB friend that, "I am truly the nerd! THE NERD ... Lucas (Corey Haim), Patrick Dempsey, My Life as Liz ... kind of nerd! Out there, not understood and a real person!" I have always been defender of the underdog, for as long as I have known myself. Almost certain that I identified as a "nerd" and "slightly awkward" myself, at times!

... And minutes after getting annoyed about the Howard Stern comments. I got news and I cannot believe that Corey Haim (LUCAS) was found dead from a drug overdose, earlier this morning. I shed a tear!

I am saddened, 'cause as a teen I loved the 1986 movie, LUCAS! I loved Lucas, a socially inept fourteen year old who experiences heartbreak.

In 1986, I fall in love with another nerd, Ronald, Patrick Dempsey's character in the movie, "Can't Buy Me Love."

Ronald Miller is tired of being a nerd, and makes a deal with one of the most popular girls in school to help him break into the "cool" clic. He offers her a thousand dollars to pretend to be his girlfriend for a month. It succeeds, but he soon learns that the price of popularity may be higher than he expected. Cindy finds herself in a desperate situation when she borrows her mother's $1000 suede dress, without permission, and ruins it. The only person who has the money to replace the dress, without her mother finding out, is Ronald. However, Ronald tells her that the only condition for him giving her the money is if she poses as his girlfriend for a month. As the month passes, she begins to show an interest in Ronald. But he is so consumed with popularity, he is blind to her feelings. In addition, he also begins to join in with his new "friends" in taunting his old friends. Most recently, my favorite outcast is Liz, from MTV's "My Life As Liz."

Liz is the main character of this show. She is an independent, "non-conformist thinker" who is extremely critical of her hometown, Burleson, Texas. Throughout the season she is torn between fitting in, trying to change the world with no power, her girl rivals at school, and trying to gain the romantic attention of her crush, Bryson. Liz is forced to grow up after Bryson tells her he can't go to Prom with her and she calls on her newest friend, Taylor, to help her cope with the pain. After graduation she makes the decision to move away from Burleson to New York and realizes that leaving home isn't as easy as she thought it would be. She compared Burleson to an old couch; it's stained, old, and beat up but it's your couch.

Over the past 2 days, Wendy Williams comes to mind. You just have to watch her relate to ALL types of people daily. I teach and expect my daughter to behave the same. Why be intolerant? By being intolerant, you limit yourself and your life experiences by closing yourself to others! You pigeonhole your entire being!

Which reminds me, earlier this morning, between my pissed off Howard Stern comment and news of Corey Haim's death, one of my Facebook comments was that I was getting so many Japanese friends from this blog, on TWITTER. Totally excited, I teased, "I visit their websites and pages but they're all in Japanese. ... Cool, but I don't understand Japanese!" Despite that, I have opened up myself and my world, and likewise!

... And strangely today, when a guest asked Wendy Williams for some advice, this was her response,

"I don't have tolerance, for NO tolerance!"

A Strange Place to Be Blessed

Last June, I mentioned the weekly "Hour of Power" television broadcast from the Crystal Cathedral, in Garden Grove, California. Its American founder, televangelist, pastor of the Crystal Cathedral and author known around the world is Robert Harold Schuller, (born September 16, 1926).

The longest year-end resolution I have kept yet, has been in 2010, to find a few minutes during the week to watch The Hour of Power but really to build a stronger relationship with God. Though I am not the preachy kind, and it would be unfair to say that all the other nine Hour of Power sermons and guests since the start of the year were not all good too, but I feel the need to share this week's sermon, "A Strange Place to Be Blessed" by Guest Pastor, Bishop Kenneth Ulmer. (WATCH HERE)

Though we sometimes just say our prayers with no true understanding and respect, Bishop Kenneth Ulmer enlightened me about the 23rd Psalm. ... And 'though this may be "a strange place to be blessed" I am confident it will touch the soul who needs it most. That's the power of ministry.

Hanna Herbertson (BlackGold) was born in South Korea, at the tender age of ten months she was adopted to Sweden. Hanna grew up on an island in the Baltic sea called Gotland, it was there she discovered her passion for dance. She has been teaching dance since 1998 and has brought her faiya to places like Kingston (Jamaica), Paris (France), Brussels (Belgium), Boston, San Jose, San Francisco, NJ & LI (USA) to mention a few. When she is not travelling she resides and teaches her weekly classes in New York City. Location: Ripley Grier Studios (520 8th Avenue between 36/37th Street on the 16th Floor).

Choreographer, dancer or teacher – whatever she does, on stage or in front of a class, she wants the audience/the students to feel her faiya (= fire in Patois/Jamaican). As a versitile choreographer/dancer she prefers not to be pigeonholed but her main styles are “Dancehall Fusion” (eclectic mix of Jamaican dancehall, different carribean dances, african, bellydancing and south american dances), hiphop and streetjazz. She is always open for new influences and interested in different cultures.

PARTY HARD UNOFFICIAL REMIX DRAMA

"UH GOSH" according to the song, PARTY HARD from Trinidad Carnival 2010 which is at the center of an unofficial remix drama. In the video below, St.Vincent's, Problem Child who remixed Donaeo's "Party Hard" responds to Donaeo's interview. On February 24, I posted the Party Hard Remix featuring Problem Child and the official video by Donaeo.

Nice of Problem Child to apologize but thanks to him a lot more of us know about Donaeo! Problem Child has made "Party Hard" an ANTHEM for still very sexy ladies (if I am to compare us to the ladies in Donaeo's official "PARTY HARD" video), carnival lovers and a real' party hard - Caribbean crowd who have now taken his song internationally!

Kiss, make up, shake hands ... whatever it is you both need to do,

'cause I am so ready to see the Caribbean video version for this remix!

Hmm ... don't quite know what is spurring on my recent LOVE AFFAIR ( fascination ) with fashion designer, Rachel Roy. The most I have known about her is that she was married to Damon Dash. Never quite understood, how he got such a nice girl!

Anyway I have enjoyed seeing their family pictures on my gossip site but what really made this love affair blossom was seeing Rachel Roy on Rachael Ray's daytime talk show.

So after joining RACHEL ROY on Facebook, I am becoming a bigger fan! Simply loving her quirky status updates and the sale items on her site. She has now teamed up with Estelle introducing a limited edition jewelry collection.

JUST 4 Fun - GREAT LOVES OF THE PAST 2010

In ancient and modern times and tradition, the marking of the tenth year is a celebratory affair and the first significant one in the order of anniversaries. This year, 2010, the year of the TIGER in China, marks the 10th anniversary of Just 4 Fun. Like the unique stripes of the tiger, Just 4 Fun has started mas in Saint Lucia’s carnival that has been both unique as well as innovative and awe inspiring.

As we celebrate our tenth anniversary, we reflect on the number 10. Both the Greeks and Hebrews held 10 to be the perfect number. Pythagoras considered that 10 comprehends all arithmetic and harmonic proportions, and, like God, is tireless. All nations calculated with it because when they arrive at 10, they return to 1, the number of creation.

Ten is said to be a number of completion, a number of mystical love as confessed by the Greeks. And so with this in mind, this year “Just 4 fun” celebrates our tenth year in carnival taking it back to a new beginning, taking it back to the source, a place where fun begins a place of love.

Other than my area, I hardly venture much around the island of St.Lucia but I've often heard male friends say that Laborie has some of the nicest St.Lucian girls! Also my half sister was from Laborie, the first time I visited was for her funeral.

Gosh, gosh, gosh ... my heart, body and soul recovering from Trini Carnival. I feel like 2011, can come now. Yep, real Post Carnival Depression (PCD). To relieve the sadness, my friends done book flights to visit me during D.C Carnival, the first of many for the rest of the year. LOL! So still real' sad that Trini Carnival is over, I'm loving the videos, of the songs which excited me on the road! Don't forget Blaxx rocked us in 2008 with Breathless and in 2009 with Tusty! In 2010, Blaxx was "Hunting," another of my favorites.
