2010 Jordan XXV

The 2010 Jordan XXV (25) has a few elements of Jordans from years past, but mainly looks forward in it’s styling and materials. Most noticeably, the midfoot material is similar to the perforated black upper of the Jordan XXIII (13), but this time it’s smooth. There are also hints at the Jordan VII (7) on the triangular shapes above the heel and near the toe. the suede toe cap is reminiscent of the Jordan XVI (16), but the 25 seems to then take its own direction after those influences. The large circular logos on the midfoot and inside of the sneaker feature a jumpan and vertical 23 logo. Via Freshnessmag.

Electronic Arts Inc. announced today that STRIKEFORCE will be featured as a premier league in the upcoming EA SPORTS MMA video game. In addition, Brett Rogers and Jake Shields, both of whom will be competing in the STRIKEFORCE and M-1 Global co-promoted fight on November 7 (broadcasted live by CBS), join the EA SPORTS MMA roster of fighters.

Marcus Jordan Costs UCF adidas Contract

adidas has responded to the controversy surrounding Marcus Jordan’s decision to only wear Jordan Brand on the hardwood by cutting ties with the University of Central Florida short. The contract, which is in its final year of a five-year deal, will be preemptively ended following Marcus’ choice to wear the AJ12 “Rising Sun” in an exhibition win last night. Via Nicekicks.

Converse Canada held it’s Spring 2010 Preview event today in Toronto. We give them full credit for doing what they do: keeping true to their heritage, and subtly updating their kicks. Much like me, Converse takes much of it’s inspiration for Spring 2010 from the 1980’s. What’s not to love about the 80’s? Shoulder pads, big hair, neon…okay there’s plenty to hate about the 80’s.
