Some words by COMUNE themselves:Sunshine and spring weather conditions were a welcome treat after the past month of heavy storms in Tahoe. The weather finally let up and COMUNE snow contributors were eager to take advantage of the conditions. The insane amount of snowfall provided unique snow features never formed before. The crew found a natural quarter pipehip feature as well as a few other little jibs right off the side of the road. After a few hours of digging they created a small skate park like zone for everyone to ride. Helsinki is like Hollywood for snowboarmovies. For years now that is where Gerben Verweij Joey von Candy and Cees Wille come to shoot 90 procent of their videopart. Its possible to find new spots there every year but still it can be good to switch it up a bit explore new territory new urban landscapes. Now if you have seen Torstein Horgmos ender videopart in The Storming you probably know all the crazy rails he found. Since he is Norwegian we figured that most of these spots are in Oslo. If you ever visited one of the Volcom Peanut Butter jams you know that these events are equal to good vibes and rad snowboarding. Two things we like. We moved our slightly sore asses on this shiny sunday morning towards Snowplanet Spaarnwoude for the PBRJ Benelux edition. With more then 60 contestants and a brilliant setup it promised to be a good day. From the warming up till the finals the shred was on fire. In case you missed the results they can be find here.
