Public enquiry into Wind Farm on doorstep of The Lake District

A number of local personalities including Sir Chris Bonnington, Doug Scott and broadcaster Eric Robson are fighting to stop the proposed Berrier Windfarm sited in Greystoke between Blencathra and Penrith.

A public enquiry is underway into the proposals which would have the windfarm just 800m from the national park boundary.

What is interesting to note is that Mr Bonnington lives just a very short distance from the proposed site.

I am unable to establish if he an others ate also trying to block the new nuclear power station in Cumbria which for me is a far more seriou

Ullswater Outdoor Festival
