One particular letter of thanks into The Dress Company caught our eye was from Steve Barthaud the very rightly proud father of Georgina who bought one of our fabulous dresses to partake in the Miss Essex 2012…

Just to let you our daughter georgia came runner up at the Miss Essex final last night (24th march 2012) wearing the dress bought from your shop. Georgia also won the “Miss Photogenic” section.

So here’s part of the TopGolf Event report . . .

What a night, what a night !

Over 100 applications received, over 70 auditions over two days, 25 finalists whittled down to 17… tonight was the grand final. A judging panel of six included the likes of former England striker Teddy Sheringham, TOWIE’s Chloe Sims and our very own home grown April Banbury. Of course a lineup like this plus 17 finalists with huge support, the night was always going to be a sell.

So on to the competition, three rounds for the girls to impress the judges; Eco Dress Round, Sportwear Round and the Evening Gown Round. Martin Bell, our Host and Entertainer for the evening introduced each finalist to our judging panel and guests.

After deliberation from the judges we were down to the final 10; Amber, Georgia, Amy, Abigail, Rachel, Laura West, Chloe, Paisley, Millie and finally Ellie. It was then on to the mini awards for the evening. The winners:

Miss Publicity – Amy Levick
Miss Charity – Amy Levick
Miss Photogenic – Georgia Barthaud
Miss Popularity – Abigail Clarke

6 years ago TopGolf were just your ‘upscale driving range’. Well if anyone wanted clarification of what TopGolf is all about, the last 18 months should have told you all you needed to know, and if you were still not sold, then tonight most certainly told you what they’re about. Completely and utterly unique in every way. Their concept, is amazing, the game itself is compelling, the TopGolf team are superb, and as for our entertainment? First class !Everyone had gathered breathe and it was time to announce the winners…
